Nothing wrong with this, it just caught me a little off guard. They boast an excellent selection of craft beer as well as a really fancy cocktail/mix drink list. The service was rock solid and didn't falter when it started getting busier. We ended up eating there too and consensus on the food was "thumbs up". It's a nice a place to hang out get and drink and eat some food. I'd be happy to dip back in the next time I'm in the area.

The grits were well done, the bacon plentiful and lots of cheese. I could only finish about half of it. Really nice dish I will get again. There's not a lot of tables, and it would be hard for a large group but even if you have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait! I will return!

This most recent visit, I started with the seafood chowder, one of my favorite soups on the island. Creamy, hearty, with plenty of fish, shrimp, crab, and potatoes. Shared a crabcake with my girlfriend--another solid choice, with plenty of crab, not too heavy on the filling, and with a lovely remoulade. For mains, we both had the grilled redfish, a baked potato for me, and mixed veggies for her. Perfectly cooked pieces of fish with a nice crust on the outside while still being moist and tender. Dessert this time was the chocolate pie, which was quite nice, not being too heavy nor excessively sweet. Did I mention the cocktails? I'm a big fan of the smokey mango Fiddlerita (a mezcal take on the classic marg), and the saladito a close second (again, mezcal, but with a little honey and cayenne). The girlfriend enjoys the basil smash (hold the simple syrup, please). Previously, we've tried the artichoke dip, which is also fantastic, shrimp and grits (solid, but Reid's does it better), blackened tripletail over creamy leek sauce (a special, and special indeed), and the key lime pie (excellent). You really can't go wrong here.

The most clever thing that they did here, though, is to serve it with wonton chips. It's something that's truly unique, as most restaurants would serve a dish like this with regular chips. The wonton chips are a treat unto themselves, having great wonton flavor. However, when you combine it with the dip, it really takes it over the top. Highly recommend. For my entree, I had their Cajun Alfredo pasta. It is linguine served in a "Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce". It is "served with tasso and smoked sausage", and you can choose to have it with either chicken or wild GA shrimp. In either case, once again, they do not skimp . You get a heaping portion of either chicken or shrimp, and the sauce is very tasty. It is just as described, an Alfredo sauce with a little Cajun flavor, though it is not spicy. It is served with no sides, but no sides are necessary as it is a hearty portion all by itself. Very delicious. The most impressive thing that I saw is that the owner is very hands-on. They have these new-fangled mobile electronic lamps, and the owner came by and noticed that ours wasn't quite working. He replaced it immediately himself. He was very friendly and chatted us up. He also went around and was serving and clearing tables himself. It seems that if you eat here, there's a strong possibility that you could end up meeting the owner! Meeting him was a very nice touch. The only thing that I had a hard time with here was choosing a dish because everything looked so good on the menu! Delicious food and great service.
