    Bland schnitzel sandwich
    Claveria D.

2.4 Stars Ambiance: 4 Service: 4 Flavor / Quality: 2 Value: 1 Cleanliness: 4 I was really looking forward to coming here. After a long 5-mile run on the beach, I was craving protein and carbs, and the fact that this place is connected to Santa Monica Brew Works was a bonus! The Food: A Major Letdown I grabbed a pint and sat down, and while the QR code made ordering easy, the meal itself was a bummer. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Waffle Fries. Including tip, it cost around $26--definitely "Meh Value" for what I actually got. The Sandwich: The chicken was pounded thin before frying, reminiscent of a schnitzel, but it was completely flavorless. There wasn't much sauce, and there was a very off-putting taste in either the breading or the sauce--something cinnamony or like nutmeg that just didn't belong. I had to force it down just to recover from my run and not waste the money. Also, the menu said their sandwiches and burgers were made on pretzel buns. This one was served on a regular bun. The Fries: The waffle fries were actually the highlight. They were seasoned well and came with ketchup, though I wish they offered other dipping sauces. Vibe & Service The service was Good at least it was quick and efficient thanks to the QR system. The space is nice and clean of course it's likely Santa Monica Brew Works' space, but I'll allow it--oh and being able to pair the food with a brew from next door is a great concept. I saw some people eating the pizza nearby and it looked decent, but the sandwich experience left such a literal gnarly taste in my mouth that I'm not sure I'll be back.

Came to grab some drinks at Santa Monica Brew Works, and Emma Squared Pizza is connected with them. Easy to order food and have it brought out to your table. We were with a large group so ordered a bunch of different pizzas and appetizers to share. First off, deep dish pizza is always delicious. Very hard to go wrong, and they did the pizza so right. They have such a wide selection, and I wish I remembered the name of what we ordered. But there was a hot honey one that was delicious as well as an incredible mushroom one and, of course, the classic pepperoni. Plus they vegan pizzas, which are also great for people who can't have dairy. Their fries and chopped Italian salad were also the big winners. The big downside is the price - definitely more expensive at about 25-30/pizza. So just something to be aware of if you order. Overall, though, delicious pizza that goes perfectly with a fresh beer at the neighboring brewery.

Oh. My. Gosh. This Emmy pizza was to DIE FOR. I already can't wait to come back! We came for a friends birthday and forgot cake so we ordered 4 orders of brownie and they made it into a cake for us and even gave us candles, shout out to Bridget from their staff she even lent us a lighter! Made our day!!! But seriously this pizza was so amazing, come hungry this place serves vibes and good food!

Emmy Squared Pizza is located near Santa Monica Brew Works, and this is the nearest bite that can be ordered by QR Code. It is neatly organized so that it is brought directly to your table at a reasonable cost. Between the Matt Burger, Fried Chicken, and fries, I have to admit that the food in general was fairly salty. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of chicken, though.

Guys - got the Bodega Burger... best burger of my life I'm not just saying that. It's like a smashed burger, melted with cheese, so good. It was 10/10. It took probably 25 minutes and we came too close to closing time, but it was well worth the wait and worth $25 with tip and a small drink. Would come back. So good.

MVP Pizza (Marianna, Vodka, and Pesto sauces)
    Jay S.

I recently met up with a friend at Santa Monica Brew Works and we decided to try Emmy's Squares Pizza. Each of us tried a different type, I had the MVP (which was not bad). The service was fast and they bring it out to your table if you use the QR code to order, the ambiance isn't bad, but it's chilly if you sit outside these days! The pizza had a nice flavor to it, I always love a good mixture of marinara and vodka sauce, especially with a pesto drizzle - so it's not surprising. However, at about $25 per personal pizza (only way they sell it) it's really not worth it at all. I don't think this is a bad choice if you're craving pizza and already at Santa Monica Brew Works, otherwise I would try one of the other amazing pizza spots on the Westside or elsewhere in LA. Food: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Value: 2/5 Overall: 3.33/5

Pizza is solid. After a long day of work this gooey, cheesy wonder hit the spot. Crust is nice and crispy. Peppers were overpowering and the honey was just right. 5/5. Getting again when I travel back.

Emmy Squared makes incredible Detroit-style pizza. The crispy, caramelized crust pairs perfectly with a craft beer from Santa Monica Brew Works. Their Margherita pizza is a standout--simple, fresh, and full of flavor with mozzarella, basil, and a rich tomato sauce. The laid-back atmosphere and great service make it an easy favorite. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit.

Nashville Hot Chicken pizza ordering via phone
    Janette L.

Food: EXCELLENT. The pizza options were wide and the options for adding to your pizza were decent. I really enjoyed the Nashville hot chicken pizza - the pizza was absolutely worth the money, filling with enough left over for a quick snack, fresh, soft and delicious!!! Service: fast and direct to the table you order from in a to go box. No complaints here. Ambiance: Love the outdoor patio attached to the Santa Monica Brew works. This makes the entire establishment a great place to go relax and chill and have some delicious pizza and beer or wine. Can't wait to return!

Eggplant sliders and waffle fries. Very good. June 2025
    Kena C.

Return visit. Have had pizza and these eggplant sliders. Great food. Updating to 5 stars because coupled with Santa Monica Breworks it's a good pairing. Captive audience. Sliders were very good. Enjoyed immensely. For the price of their offerings I was surprised there was not alternate dips included. Ketchup is simple(for the fries), A flavorful ranch or flavored ketchup would go a long way.

Helio there Was super excited to finally try this spot as I've eaten at Emily in Brooklyn, NY - home of the BEST burger ANYWHERE, EVER...the Emi Hit this spot on a Thursday early afternoon to get a Le Big Matt and some Waffle Fries...served hot and fresh!!! I'm not a waffle fry guy but DAMN they were bomb!!! Great, friendly service. Managed to avoid crowds and ya gotta love the Emi sauce and the pretzel bun...EFFING DELICIOUS. Now, because my yardstick for measure is the OG Emi Burger in BK (which gets 5 stars all day every day), this burger was delicious but not as perfect as the Emi. That said, this gets a 4+ ... I'd happily return for these items and to try a few other things on the menu as well. Decide for yourself...

First time here, at the brand new LA Live location across from The Crypt. Positive experience overall - they made my pizza well done, like actually burnt well done - Bravo ! The 6 slice pizzas are enough for 2 people . Service was right on point and ambience decent - its in the old Lawry's and not much was changed. Only thing is they need a smaller side salad on the menu . Only two $ 20 entree sized salads on the menu but otherwise I'll return !

    The Emmy!

I came back on a crazy busy Friday night just for The Emmy Pizza, and it was every bit as amazing as I remembered. That crispy-edged Detroit-style crust, the perfect layer of sauce, and the blend of cheeses that somehow stay light but flavorful, it's pure magic. Even with the Friday night rush, the service was spot-on. The staff kept the line moving, tables spotless, and still made everyone feel welcome, that friendly "where everybody knows your name" neighborhood vibe you can only get from a truly local spot. I stuck with my usual tradition, pairing great pizza with a cold local brew (because beer deserves its pairing moment too!). There's just something about a pint from Santa Monica Brew Works and a slice of The Emmy that hits all the right notes. If you're debating whether it's worth the trip, it absolutely is. Emmy's Square Pizza has the food, the energy, and the heart that keeps you coming back.

I've been wanting to check this place out for awhile as they blown up on social media and today just felt like a burger and fries day and I have to say this is a place that lives up to the hype and more. I ordered the grilled smash and it was amazing. Perfectly balanced and delicious and the perfect size for me, not too big or small, not too greasy, packed a ton of flavor across the meat, cheese and perfectly balanced with their house sauce and pickle. Ate that one up too. I also appreciated their level of service in how they packaged up my order so nicely and with a great level of care, and hooked me up with a ton of fries too - they were overflowing when I opened the bag and still nice and hot when I took them home! Casual spot definitely is going to be on my list of go to regular spots for one of the BEST in LA. Hands down. I totally get it. You got something real special here Pn'P!!!

The concept of the bun's exterior being on the inside with the patty is completely new to me and gives it a different texture. I recently had a smash burger elsewhere that was overly salty, but not here. While the price is a bit steep, I'm happy to pay more knowing they use quality ingredients. They are very efficient; I received my burger 10 minutes after ordering. However, the burgers aren't very filling. I ordered the Grilled Double Smash ($13.54), and while it was very good, I still felt a little hungry afterwards.I loved the crispy edges, the sweetness of the onions, and the butter pickles. There's so much to love about this spot. Despite ordering at the kiosk, the customer service was great. The staff was happy to offer suggestions and help. They use the best ingredients, with 100% organic, grass-fed patties, and they don't use any seed oils. You can check out their website for more details. I love eating burgers with my son, and I'll definitely bring him here again, knowing they use better ingredients. This is a place that cares about its customers and community.

The Waygu beef is fresh and they do not over season the burger. They let the natural goodness of a quality beef patty do all the talking. There is plenty of flavor but the burger is not overly greasy. The buns are made in house, as well as the pickles and they both deliver. I love a burger with shredded lettuce. The French fries are prepared fresh and cooked to perfection for my taste. I like my fries slightly crispy and a little dark. They showed up well done and almost too hot to eat. I tried their in house sauce called "Matty Sauce" and still don't know how to feel about it. It was explained to me as their version of thousand island but there was an after taste to the sauce I still can't describe. I decided I didn't care for the sauce but never stopped dipping my fries in it. So in the end, I guess I ended up liking it? I feel you will either really like it, or really dislike it. I tried both the chocolate and vanilla shakes and preferred the vanilla. The shakes are made with house made ice cream and serve their purpose. I liked the fact they have a dispenser just for water and ice. Overall I say drop what you are doing and go get a HiHo Double. The most amazing thing about this burger is its simplicity and freshness. Two things that are often overlooked and/or not well done. If you want bells and whistles go elsewhere. If you want a really, really fresh and well made burger at In N Out prices, HiHo delivers.

I had the chicken soup and the Steak & Eggs and my guest had the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup. I subbed the potatoes for mushrooms and my one problem with this place is that the food is never really hot which is bothersome. How do you not offer soup once poured into the bowl? Their prices are not cheap as the chicken soup was $9, the steak & eggs $32 (this was off the breakfast menu), $16.50 for the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup and $6.50 for the Arnold Palmer which is a complete rip-off. The total bill was $70.54 with Tax and a cash Tip of $15.00 which was generous given the service and the fact the place was empty. Their food would be better if I received it when it was hotter, but overall was fine since at 10:26 PM there are little in terms of options to eat.
