6 mix and match empanadas for $27

Empanola is such a cute little spot! The space is on the smaller side, but it still has plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your food comfortably. The cashier greeted me immediately and was helpful with any questions I had regarding the menu. I ordered a six-pack of empanadas for $27 (otherwise it's usually $4.95 each), and they definitely do not skimp on the ingredients. Every empanada was stuffed to the brim, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I tried two Argentine Beef, Ham & Queso, Asian Dumpling, Gumbo, and Peruvian Chicken. And honestly every single one was delicious in its own way. The drink I got the Honey Bun Latte, they use torani syrups so I'm familiar with the flavors. It was sweet, cozy, and paired perfectly with the meal. Imo, way better than the typical honey bun lattes that I pride in the past. Overall, this is a great spot for a quick bite that still feels high-quality and satisfying. I'll definitely be back!

This place was close to our hotel. My wife walked over and picked them up and brought them back to the hotel. They were excellent. Got the 6 empanada combo. All of them excellent but the 2 beef ones and the asian dumpling ones were our favorites.

Fun idea to grab a portable snack loaded with New Orleans flavors, but the execution is a bit off. Service was good and the place felt like a nice reprieve from the lovable chaos of Bourbon Street. We got a crawfish etouffee empanada and a shrimp and cheese one. Both were decent and served a great purpose, but the flavor wasn't as exciting as we'd hoped.

I was walking back to my hotel from getting a coffee and was intrigued by the window display. I walked in and was greeted by two counter helpers that were both very friendly and helpful in me picking out the Asian dumpling empanada. It was outstanding. The location is in really good condition and everything is very clean and organized. Thanks for the recommendation.

This places has some of the best empanadas I have ever had. Alot of times empanadas cqn be dry but not these they are savory, flavorful, the pastry shell is perfectly cooked. They have so many different types of empanadas. I had the buffalo chicken one and the mushroom and cheese. Next time I plan to try the shrimp and gumbo one.

These empanadas are bursting with flavor and taste. One can fill you up! I suggest you split one with a friend so you can taste other varieties. The Gumbo is extremely hearty; Shrimp Etoufee is thick, flavorful like a portable soup and the Shrimp and Cheese is bursting with cheese which reminds me of a white cheese pizza. This is the place to get NOLA inspired cuisine that's portable. They warm it so it's served piping hot for your on-the-go days or to relax on their outside tables and chairs. There are great deals if you want 6+ or more.

They have a few seats but better as a grab and go spot. As a NYC guy that grew up on these and I've done some traveling, these are the real deal. If you need a really satisfying quick bite and you like empanadas then this is your spot.

Hey Yelp friends. This is a good little spot to grab a quick snack. Yum! They are so tasty and fresh. Full of flavor. Lotsa choices. So many and so good. Love that they are stamped with the name. They have a few places to sit inside and a few little tables out on the side walk. They serve coffee and other drinks. The girls are very nice and they were ready for the morning business. They kept a nice flow. It's just a few minutes wait after you order while the pie good through a nice little oven. Yum! Check it out! We will be back.

Hey Yelpers! We found this great little spot while walking through the French Quarter, on St. Ann near Jackson Square. They have an amazing selection of empanadas at a really great price. We tried the chorizo, crawfish étouffée, Asian dumpling, and apple & pecan empanadas. We enjoyed them all and would order the again, except for the étouffée. I wanted to try it (never had étouffée before) and I'm sure it tasted great. Just wasn't my thing. They also have a selection of coffee drinks, sodas, water, and even protein drinks. As for the service, they are fast and friendly. At one point they had multiple people in one and got them all taken care of and on their way very quickly. Inside, the spot is very cute: colorful and lively. I would definitely stop by here again for a quick, inexpensive bite while walking around. Check them out!

Empanola was a great find! After picking up beignets at Cafe Du Monde I was looking for a bite of something savory, but not something too big. Empanola fit the bill. They have a variety of traditional, New Orleans inspired, and other empanada flavors. I selected the Chilean beef empanada and was pleasantly surprised. It was filled with a generous portion of flavorful beef and sautéed onions and it had a nice sauce, so the meat was not at all dry. I was intrigued by the crawfish, étouffée empanada and wish I had tried it. If you're looking for a snack or a quick meal in this area, I recommend checking out Empanola!

During Mardi Gras so very busy very crazy Bright red doors that caught our attention then the smell from the inside lured us in Simple decor here and there but it was the wonderful aroma of good deliciousness that you need to know Line was about 25-30mins Got a cup of latte while we waited Was worth the wait Of course try their specials but the Yellow curry and Crawfish Étouffee, wow, so full of fillings and so flavorful The hot and the heat warmed me up and sobered me Regret not getting more, will have to come back

Empanola is an unassuming joint that is perfect for a hearty snack or meal. It appears to be mainly designed for grab and go, however, there are a couple tables if you want to sit down. I was impressed by the array of empanadas with New Orleans and Latin inspired fillings. It was overwhelming to decide, so the front counter guy kindly walked us through the menu and his personal favorites. I tried the Chilean beef, chicken Peruvian, crawfish etouffee, caprese, and gumbo empanadas (listed in order of my favorites). I was blown away by quality/freshness of the filings and the rich flavor profiles. The exterior of the empanada was a nice thickness and kept together without being too crisp. I also loved the chimichurri and hot sauces, which took everything to another level of delicious.

We've generally loved the food and service, but I'm worried that something has changed as we've been disappointed the last two times. 10 days ago we went with company in town, and my niece and I each got the caprese empanadas. Everyone else's order was fine but my caprese had green olives in it, which is not ever an ingredient in caprese anything and isn't listed under caprese in the empanola menu either. My niece's didn't have the olives, so I chalked this up to a random mistake and let it go. I did drop a quick note to the company on their "contact us" button just as an fyi for quality control, just in case it was a more regular mistake they should address, but I also said it wasn't a big deal, I just wanted to make them aware. Tonight we ordered 8 empanadas but only had 6 in the box when we got home. My husband drove back over quickly as they were about to close. I texted him while he was there replacing the other two missing empanadas, to let him know there were green olives yet again in the two caprese empanadas. The staff were very friendly and helpful and assured him that green olives are not in their recipe and asked for pictures, which I sent. They replaced my two caprese with the only one they had left, and threw in the next closest thing, which was spinach and artichoke, though I don't love that one personally. Anyway, the replacement caprese also has green olives in it now too, so I'm going to go make myself something else for dinner and now don't feel like ordering my caprese favorites anymore from there, as this is apparently an ongoing and regular mistake. I'm really bummed about this as the workers are very friendly and we've had lots of great experiences with this place that's so convenient and easy for us to walk to also. We love supporting all the great neighborhood businesses around here, of which Empanola has been high on our list for quite a while. I hope they get this sorted out, and I hope that there's a way I can know when the issue is fixed as I've now paid for three (and got two more free, for a total of 5) empanadas that were not actual caprese and I didn't like. It's most disappointing to my tastebuds, but it's now a risk I don't want to keep taking with my money either, as I'm paying for this continued disappointment. My husband will still continue to order with the kids when I'm not home, but we won't order as a family anymore for a while. I can't wait til this is hopefully cleared up again though so we can go back to loving this place!

We were desperate to cool off. Their AC was so cool and necessary during the heat wave that we had just spent a couple hours walking through. 2. This place served best rum punch I've ever had. Oh my goodness. Turning down a second one was hard!! 3. I've never had a server who appeared as invested in our order as our guy. I developed an old lady crush on this sweet man! We told him that we are both vegetarians and one is a post bariatric surgery puzzle. He was so sweet and supportive that I would return here weekly if we were local! He made sure we had what we needed. 4. We ordered the roti, two tacos (Rasta & cauliflower) with coconut rice and plantain as the sides. The tacos were both so extra, so yummy, the roti was tasty- but the sweetness on top confused me- we loved the plantain but not the rice. We'd be back in a heartbeat. I want to try every vegetarian option here!
