We came here after hearing good things from multiple people. Got here around 7:30. We put our names down and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. We ended up waiting only about 15 minutes, so we were happy. We were sat outside. It is much nicer and quieter outside and there is more room. Make sure they light the Citronella candles for you though, or you'll be attacked by mosquitoes. They took a long time to take our order. It took longer to order than our 15 minute wait for the table. It was almost 9 before we got our food. They forgot about our bread and ended up bringing it with our meal. The cinnamon sugar butter was so yummy. I got the linguine and clams. It had a pretty good sauce, but the peppers made it a little spicy. The portion was not so large, so I was still hungry eating my meal. My girlfriend got the fisherman's stew, which had a much tastier broth. I loved her calamari too. I wish I had gotten what she got. That happens a lot. We asked for the check, and it took so long to get it that we had to go in and ask for it again after waiting ten minutes. We found out that they mixed up our table with the table next to us and were trying to figure things out. We reasoned that the other table must have gotten away without paying for a bunch of stuff because of the mix up. So, we finally got out of there round 9:30, nearly two hours after we arrived. Perhaps they need a bigger kitchen, more workers, or better training. They seem to have more tables than they can reasonably accommodate. Having so many tables may help their profit margin in the short term, but the negative impact it has on their service will lead to few returning customers. read more

This place is FANTASTIC! Was lucky to get right in on a weeknight. Place was busy and my party of two got there at the perfect time when a call ahead hadn't arrived yet opening the door to be seated. Order a trio of megansett oysters a friend of mine I actually went to college with farms. Epic Oyster prides itself on huge oyster selection and you have a menu complete with the area they are from, who harvested them and the characteristics of those oysters which was on point! I was committed to ordering seafood when I saw the short rib small plate offering go by. It was HUGE and looked great and I had to order it. My wife ordered the chimichurri strip steak medium rare. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the chimichurri sauce was fresh and vibrant. My short rib was huge for something on the small plate menu and absolutely delicious as well as presented gorgeously. It was all so tasty. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and the meal was out in a flash and all executed perfectly. The menu was huge and we can't wait to go back! Side note: the table behind us who had a stuffed quahog actually ordered a second once their main course arrived because the gentlemen said it was the best he ever had. We ate an outdoor lunch here as part of a weekend trip to Falmouth. Overall a very good experience. Outdoor seating is setup well, service is solid and food ranges from very good to excellent. We discovered this semi-hidden little seafood shanty last summer and has since become our favorite Falmouth eatery. The restaurant is chef owned, so the quality and freshness of the seafood is exceptional. The menu changes nightly based on whatever is seasonal and fresh and while the menu is elevated, the vibe is not. The restaurant features an open kitchen and bar area where you can often watch the owner, Marc, a local native who was formally a chef at Legal Seafood in Boston, in epicurean action. The cozy well-lit, dining room is outfitted with distressed wooden tables and also offers a picnic table outdoor seating option with crushed sea shell flooring... this place is relaxed, barefoot elegance at its finest. We love to start with the petite seafood tower. Lobster claws, shrimp, lump crab, oysters and ahi, it presents and tastes heads and tails above other raw bar samplers. Just superlative. The cold water oysters are soured locally from Wellfleet, Moon Shoal in Barnstable, Fiddlers Cove in North Falmouth and shucked right in front of you- like they should be! There is also a legit wine list and a good list of craft beers on draft to wash it all down! I almost always have the chef's fresh fish of the day, which never disappoints. My husband is a fan of the Azorean Fishermans stew which comes with the best seafood offerings prepared with a the perfect touch of saffron and just enough potatoes and Portuguese linguica to make it a heart bowl of seafood comfort food. My kids love the rice bowls and homemade, complimentary, chocolate chip cookies. Make a reservation, because the word is spreading quickly on this place, so it can get crowded! read more

The crab roll was offered as hot with butter or cold with mayo. I decided on cold and I probably should have gotten it hot. The cold mayo/crab mix was pretty good. LOTS of crab and there wasn't a massive amount of mayo yet, the hot with butter might have been amazing. The bar area is small and very thin so get there early or no seat at the bar for YOU! My suggestion is to show up at 5pm (when they open) and just start day drinkin. You'll get a spot at the bar AND by the time dinner time rolls around you'll be starving. Having just returned from a weekend on the Cape and as a local in my past I was so happy to see that someone utilized this space!!! The atmosphere is fun and energetic. The food was very good from the Bang Bang Shrimp, Fried Oysters, Lobster Tacos, Fisherman's Stew and Fettuccine with Clam Sauce everybody was happy. The great wine selection and specials rounded out the evening. While they are still working out the kinks in terms of timing of the food, servers were communicating and accommodating. Due to the close quarters inside it is noisy but again... the food wins over all of this. I would recommend a reservation... otherwise grab a drink and hang.. Don't be uptight.. you are on Cape Cod! One of the best dinners out we have had on the Cape in a long time. We were there with a group so sat at a table - the oyster bar seating looks fun as well. Service was friendly and accurate. There was a nice selection of local and MA oysters along with my two west coast favorites - Kusshis and Kumamotos. We ordered a half dozen locals and they were super fresh and immaculately shucked. A half dozen littlenecks came as well and quickly disappeared. The Portuguese lilt to the menu was a welcome surprise and departure from the land of fried seafood. There are a few "tried and trues" like chowder, lobster rolls, and stuffed quahogs to satisfy the vacay cravings but the more unique (to the cape at least) dishes like shrimp Mozambique and pork and clams leant some original flair. The shrimp Mozambique was the standout dish for the table and made for a great meal with a side of leeks and rice. The spice was perfect. The linguine with clams looked like a hearty dish, and the pork and clam special was a hit. Special shout out to the pre-dinner rolls - toasty, warm, and not your usual frozen and stale bread basket. Certainly worth seeking out, especially if you want a taste of the Portuguese cuisine of the region and some wicked fresh seafood. read more

We called at 4:00 and were told to head over even though they didn't officially open until 5. When we arrived, we were chastised by the host for being there. As she passed us to set a table, she literally made a huffing sound. We took the opportunity of having extra time to read yelp reviews, where we saw this behavior is a norm for the hostess and the chef. Given our experience and the yelp reviews that made allocations of anti LGBTQ statements being made by the staff, we decided to leave. My experience tonight at epic oyster in north Falmouth leaves me speechless. Dinner started with one of us ordering a $40 steak that came with a plastic knife and fork (not a meal priced for plastic silverware served on cardboard). we were seated outside but our heater did not work. We repeatedly had to ask the waitstaff to light and relight our heater (which was also our dinner lighting) so we had no light and no heat. The owner came out and screamed at us, he threatened us, swore at us, chased us into the parking lot like he was going to fight us! All because we asked for our heater to be relit. The owner made such a scene in front of a restaurant full of patrons. We are in our 50s and 60s!! That's how we were treated after spending $400 on dinner. I have never in my life seen such a scene...never mind be the brunt of it. You have been warned. read more

This place has a great coastal vibe with delicious oysters but also a variety of great surprises on the menu. I can't resist the Greek salad with those huge chunks of the tastiest feta and high quality olives. Nice selection of appetizers and main dishes. Perfect to grab a light meal but also plenty of large plates to satisfy. Nice cocktails and drink selection too. They had the best outdoor area during the pandemic.
