    Artichoke dip was very tasty
    Aichi L.

Came here for the happy hour with my husband and was quite disappointed. We've been on a burger streak trying out burgers specials from different restaurants. I have to say the Wagyu burger here was probably the worst burger set I've had. Food 2/5: this is for happy hour dishes only, I'm hoping the food is better during dinner. The Wagyu burger was not good, I'm guessing they are trying to imitate McD cheese burger, but somehow it's worst. The bun is overly oily and has no substance. The patty itself was dry and thin, not flavorful. There are no fresh topping but cheese, pickle and onions with sauce. Very fast food like. What's sad was the fries was also under fried and limp. Felt like it was more saturated with oil as if it didn't get a second fry. My husband and I regret each getting a burger. Fortunately we got the artichoke dip and that was really good, melty cheese and a good complexity of a spinach and dill(?) along with the artichokes. Would recommend that and skip the burger. Service 3/5: It was not easy to get service, our server was no where to be found most of the time and we had to end up asking some else to add items to our order or checking out. But when our server does show up he was friendly. Ambiance 4/5: can't beat the bay bridge views and the location of this restaurant. Come for the vibes and maybe not for the food.

We did this day of. When trying to book a reservation through the website, it will say it's full. Just call or do a walk up because, it is very likely that there is enough tables for you to be seated. We booked our reservation through the phone. (They use AI to book your time slot). Once booked, you will receive a text message reminder. Once we got there, we were seated outside. Such a lovely view. The server was very kind. The food is solid, but nothing stood out to us. There was a lot of reviews raving about the bread pudding, but it was alright. It needed the ice cream. Otherwise, this place is a lovely place to relax.

This is a super cute spot around the SF pier. Our waiter was nice and we were seated promptly as we arrived. We ordered the half dozen oysters, mushrooms, and rib eye steak. Oyster and mushrooms were delicious, but the steak could've used a tad more seasoning.

I was able to book a reservation on OpenTable a couple nights ago for a Saturday night dinner. The restaurant has a relaxed ambiance and a beautiful view of the bay/bridge. They wrote happy birthday on our menus and even the staff signed a card for my husband. Travis was our server and he was very attentive, had great suggestions on drinks and food. We ordered the garlic shrimp, oysters, caesar salad, porterhouse steak, Mac & cheese, and the s'mores cake! Everything was so good! (Mac & cheese just wasn't our preference, a little too cheesy) There is public parking right across the street.

Come for: amazing views, the tomahawk Know that: parking on the Embarcadero is hard especially on game days Steak under the Bay lights? Sign me up! This is an awesome spot to take any date, out of towner, or celebration. The service is fantastic and the views of the Bay are incredible. So the food: Beef tartare (4/5): comes with potato chips and I really loved the sauce this came with. My only complaint was some pieces of meat had some sinew. Sides (4.5/5): I had the carrots and the pomme puree. The carrots were really sweet and went well with the sauce and feta. Pomme puree was buttery and decadent. Would recommend both. Tomahawk (4/5): I got mine with the miso truffle butter and I highly recommend. This is a dry aged tomahawk and though I normally do not order tomahawks thinking ribeyes are the better deal, I gotta admit the dry aging on this made it worth it for me. The flavor was beefy and the truffle miso made it even better. Only issue were some pieces came a bit overcooked. But would recommend nonetheless. Overall, one of my favorite steakhouses to take guests and for special occasions. It is tough to find parking so be prepared to look or bite the bullet and find a garage. But the steak and views make it all worth it.

My first time eating at EPIC Steak was a spectacular time. Our steaks were delicious and true to the menu size. Our 9oz Filet Mignon didn't magically shrink into a 6oz for once. Kim the manager was so attentive and kind to us, she offered her favorite dessert the carrot cake and it DID NOT disappoint, the flavors were distinct from each other but blended together into a delicious bite every time. Aaron the waiter made sure to keep our drinks topped off and explained the menu perfectly he also found us a table when we mentioned we were waiting on a reservation. Truly a great experience!

My work held a company party here. We had the second level reserved. It was really nice and intimate. Lots of great food selection and nice balcony view of the Bay Bridge. Good vibes. We had some charcuterie, bacon cheeseburger sliders, black truffle crispy chicken sandwiches, blackened shrimp, arancini, etc. The agave cut was my fave drink and I kept coming back for it x3. Overall, I had a great time! Will need to come back to try some of their other dishes.

Best chill b-day ever. :) Friday 7/3. I spent the day at The Embarcadero, which included Happy Hour at Epic. I had gone last year and sat inside the bar overlooking the Bay at night, which was so soothing with all the lights. This time, we sat outside in the enclosed piazza with beautiful, crisp white tablecloths, the most perfect 68° weather (no wind!), Argentina playing a World Cup match in the background, and the best company My Chef man. We ordered an EPIC Martini (perfection!), The Agave Cut--a twist on a margarita that was even better--along with the Bucket Chicken, a Wagyu cheeseburger and fries, and Pacific oysters. The chicken? I'd order it all day long - crunchy, herby, juicy. Looooved it and highly recommend it. The oysters were also a memorable experience for me - melt in your mouth wonderful texture. As someone who's tried several times to like oysters, my chef told me I'd been eating them wrong this whole time. "Don't just swallow them--chew a bit. Taste them." Ahhh... okay, that's how you do it. The waitstaff were fantastic--attentive, friendly, and professional, always making sure we had everything we needed. I absolutely loved the experience and can't wait to go back on another weekday off.

My first time here, party of two, we were sat on the semi outdoor patio with the fabulous view of the bay and bridge. It was a bit chilly and windy but the fireplace was going and that helped warm it up. We ordered the happy hour bucket of fried chicken and the happy hour cheeseburger meal. The chicken was absolutely divine and the chili sauce just added extra burst of flavor. The cheeseburger meal was just okay it reminded me of a glorified Happy meal. I would say that our server made the experience very positive and The view made the experience very enjoyable. I would like to come back and enjoy other things off of the menu along with the beautiful view.

I love coming here with friends who are from out of town. Very thankful the restaurant seated us outdoors so we could watch the sun set and enjoy the view of the Bay Bridge! Even though it was a windy day, the restaurant provided us with blankets and heat lamps to keep us all comfortable. STEAK FRITES (4/5) - the most bang for your buck. I enjoyed the tarragon bearnaise sauce, but I much preferred having it with the chimichurri sauce. I ordered my flat iron steak medium rare. The edges were quite tough. GARLIC SHRIMP (4/5) - very enjoyable and perfect for sharing. BREAD & BUTTER (3/5) - to be honest I thought it was complementary. The edges were hard and dry. The butter was good but to be honest I don't think I could tell the difference between bad or good butter. BANANA BREAD PUDDING (4/5) - If you have a sweet tooth this is the dessert for you. The brûlée bananas had a unique texture of crunchy and soft. The banana bread was rich and paired well with the vanilla ice cream. I expected more ice cream tbh. Not a wine person so it's hard to give it a review but the wine was fine. Felt more acidic than wines I'm used to. Service was on the slower end, but it feels like they were understaffed. It was a busy night and there seemed like only two servers for the entire patio section of the dining area.

Great friendly & professional staff & cocktails & steaks were delicious as were Julia Childs potatoes Beautiful bar on first floor with great views. Warm, friendly staff Only let down was the crab cakes .. bad! It's the home of Dungeness crab, they were really mediocre. Like some bad casino in Wisconsin Swimming in some awful sauce that made crispy crab cakes soggy & tasteless Over dressed too

Chimichurri steak skewers and mini Dungeness Crab cakes off the happy hour menu 6.11.26

I don't think I've ever experienced a restaurant staffed with employees who way overshoot their station more egregiously. Happy Hour is upstairs in the bar, which they had roped off from downstairs and you had to be escorted up (like you're getting bottle service in Vegas or something). Hostess was extremely rude and in the most condescending tone possible told me "we're at capacity, you'll have to wait." I understand she had to convey a message, but it's not WHAT she said, it was HOW she said it. So I walked over to sit on the bench (I was the only one waiting) and then get the nod to migrate to Mecca apparently. Not five minutes after I parked on the bench a couple came downstairs and I asked the husband if they were leaving or just using the restroom. He said we're done and leaving. A few minutes went by then the runner brought me upstairs. I guess at Epic Steak "at capacity" means eight empty tables inside and six outside (it was almost 80 degrees when I came in, would've happily been seated outside; nope not even offered a seat there and yes the patio was open and not reserved, I asked). Service was beyond slow and I found out the entire happy hour menu is pre-batched that day. Meaning, no substitutions (which is common), but also no eliminations. Ummm, what? A couple of examples of what they consider eliminations: The mini crab cakes come sitting on top of a sauce which I personally don't like so I asked if they could just leave it off because I wasn't going to eat it. Nope. That's an elimination to them. So I asked my server, (claimed he couldn't locate the manager to address my question), "So let me make sure I understand this correctly, I told you i wasn't going to eat it as I was ordering it and please just simply to leave it off the plate, not to replace it with anything else. You're telling me, knowing full well that's it's just going to go to waste, that you're still going to waste the time to make it (when you're allegedly at capacity")? Yup, they sure did. Another example if you order the happy hour cheeseburger they don't allow you to be served without cheese. I asked well what if the person is lactose intolerant or just flat out allergic? His response, "Well then, they'll have to order off the big.boy menu and we'll customize it how they like." Oh gee thanks for that, I'd think after the cost of the dinner burger itself, tax, your 7% service charge (which doesn't all go to the staff but does help line the owner's pockets) and gratuity totaling roughly $45 it wouldn't exactly be asking for the moon to have the burger the way I want. Hey Epic, you've got a great location and the chimichurri skewers were very good, but at the next staff meeting everyone needs to drink some settle down juice. You guys aren't Smyth, so set your egos aside and focus on your customers. I'm sure the business is making plenty of money, but success should breed additional success not foster irrational confidence.

Ask the Community - EPIC Steak

I'm attending a wedding there, what Hotel is close?

Grand Hyatt is about 3 blocks away just off the Embarcadero. Definitely walking distance

    Is there valet parking?

No they no longer have valet service. But street parking is pretty easy

Do you have to make a reservation?

Highly recommended, you can always check in the bar!

July 2022, is valet parking back?

it wasn't when i went a few weeks ago.

    Bar/counter seating for solo diner?

Is outdoor seating available for the unvaccinated?

They do have out door seating. May be available upon request if you are making a reservation. I am not sure how strict they are about asking for proof of vac. The last time I was there a few months ago, they did not ask me for mine. Good luck!

Do they have prime rib on their dinner menu?

Do we need to be vaccinated to eat here?

I would have to assume YES, since it's located in San Francisco and the vaccination requirement for SF establishments started on 8/20/2021.

Are dogs still allowed if you have patio seating?

I sat outdoors with my small dog/ESA tonight, but there was also another dog at the table next to ours who didn't appear to be a service dog or ESA.

Is there a minimum for Dining? I've read their neighbor restaurant is minimum $75 each 🤨

There is no minimum though the local city ordinance requires all guests to have a meal and not just alcohol when seated. Please make a reservation as we run out of tables everyday.

    What is their corkage fee?

    $25 per bottle.

    Are there many/any vegetarian options?

They have a few if you still do seafood but i would go somewhere else. We went there, being meat eaters, and were forced to order 12 oz and 14 oz steaks starting at over 50 bucks because thats the beginning size unless you want a 6oz filet mignon…

    Is parking available in restaurant?

I've seen Valet Parking, but I don't know the hours. Street parking is spotty.

What time is their happy hour? The website doesn't say.

2:30pm - 6pm I believe. Search Yelp photos for the menu!

Can you bring a bottle of wine?! If so what is the corkage fee ?! Thank you!

    $25

Is the Impossible Burger available at dinner or only at lunch?

They change their menu daily, at least for dinner. And it wasn't on the dinner menu the day we went.

    Do you guys have valetparking?

Yes we do! $20 per car. Valet is located curbside between Epic and Waterbar

Now you can find a steak in almost any neighborhood in SF. When it comes to steak the best advice is to get at the butchers. This place has lots of different types of beef available and it's called the Blind Butcher in SF. On a Fall stroll on 18th street I landed at the Blind Butcher. I do enjoy the traditional American steak houses but it seems some you will have to dress up in a three piece suit just to dine in. Blind Butcher is more of a casual steakhouse where you will see people wearing tie dye shirts and others just wearing casual wear dinning in. Inside is a bit dim and has a bar and some seating. I started off with the lollipop lambs which came with cherry tomatoes and they were delicious and not gamey and so tender. If you had a blind test you wouldn't know it was lamb and would guess more likely it would have been beef steak. Then I got the Truffle Lobster Mac & Cheese and it was so cheesy like some on my social media feed in SF. It was tasty and a little rich. The main star of the meal was the filet mignon. It was juicy and so soft and it had so much flavor. I then washed it down with glasses of Balletto Pinot Noir and Lillie's Pinot Noir on repeat for Don Juan Pinot Noir. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for and I loved it. Our waiter was amazing -- super attentive throughout the entire night and made sure we were taken care of. We started with the Caesar salad, and I have to say probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had. Seriously, it was that good. Then came the viral Butcher's Board, which says it serves 3+ people, but we had to order it. And it absolutely did not disappoint! It came loaded with prime ribeye, filet mignon, rack of lamb, crispy calamari, lobster truffle mac & cheese, butcher's potatoes, creamy octopus, mushrooms, and toasted ciabatta. Everything was so on point. Every bite was delicious and the board was definitely the star of the meal. The drinks were good, but I wouldn't say they were the highlight. We started with an espresso martini made with mezcal instead of vodka. I was intrigued, so of course I had to try it. It was good, but I'm still a fan of the traditional espresso martini. We also had a Lavender Lemon Drop, along with two signature cocktails, The Castro and Lavencine. The Lavencine was easily the best drink of the night. Overall, this was one of the best dinners I've had in a while. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to. One tip: give yourself some extra time to find parking.

She was super attentive and made the dinner special. Thank you Mindy! And thank you Lolinda for the complimentary glasses of Champagne, so nice and unexpected. Note if you wish to try the happy hour it is limited to seating in the bar area which was fine with us. We started with (from Happy Hour menu) Cocktails 1 Bees Knees and 4 Penicillin (I had 3 and wife had 1) Suffice it to say we liked the drinks. Beef tartare and toasted bread, beef was luscious! Empanadas beef and chicken were hecka good. we wanted to bring some home but they don't allow take away from happy hour menu Mushroom empanada yep this was good too Dipping sauces were excellent Dinner Asada Mixto. Meats, peppers, potatoes, bread and chimichuri sauce. Excellent combination of flavors and textures. The grilled peppers and potatoes were soft with nice charred flavor. Two types of sausages with crisp casing and great flavor fillings. Could have used a bit more meat but the flavors were great. Outstanding bread served with this dish and with beef tartar Rescoldo, Eggplant, pepper and onion, Served room temp spread over toast Dessert Burnt Basque cheesecake with poached peaches. To die for!!! Beautiful interior warm and rustic. Open kitchen in the back but you can't see them easily from the tables. There's a long bar height table centered in the bar area for large groups. With several bar height tables along the wall and normal tables and booths in the main dining area. For the most part there is street parking but good luck finding a space. We took Uber so that we could have some drinks.

I wanna ride me we seated immediately with a beautiful view of the palm Court where we can see the chicken on the rotisserie! We settled on three side dishes, the broccolini, the grilled shrimp, and the asparagus. All of which were excellent! We also enjoyed the Ceasar salad and the Hem lettuce salad! That's why we had a sparkling water and still water. For our main course, we had a half rotisserie chicken, the lamb chops and the Branzino. All three were prepared exquisitely and we also enjoyed the Crem brûlée ! I can't wait to return and I highly recommend Palm Court!

We came to the Palm Court at RH San Francisco for a special treat for our wedding anniversary…read more Let's talk about the atmosphere and ambiance for a little bit. Coming in, you'll see the unique structure that RH is located in. This is very obvious as this building stands out within the neighborhood of warehouses. The neighborhood doesn't feel like it's located in the best parts of San Francisco. Keeping that in mind once you are inside, it makes you feel like you have time traveled back to a house within the Roman period. With a small water fountain in the front, it showcases the aspirations of where RH wants its customers to feel when owning one of their products. With the basement and third floor being RH product based, down the hallway is where the restaurant was located. It can be tricky if the attendants weren't around but they quickly pointed us toward the right direction to where the restaurant is located. Since we were here for dinner on a reservation, they seated us fairly quickly. There were palm trees that's very visible from inside the restaurant which gave you the feeling that you're in an indoor outdoor space. The seating I gotta tell ya, it's an extremely unique experience. There's literally a fountain in the middle of the restaurant and unlike most restaurants where seating are in some type of order, the seats are set where it surrounds the palm trees throughout. Ok, enough of how cool this place looks, here's what we got: 1. Prosciutto & Delice Board - (4 out of 5) The board came how you would expect. The bread paired with the cheese were delicious, same with the deli meat and grapes. I did feel it was slightly underwhelming given how much bread it had. This dish seems to be made for a larger group in general then it was for us, a family of three. I would have much preferred a slightly smaller loaf and more add-ons to the board. 2. Mini Lobster Rolls with Caviar - (4 out of 5) The caviar they've placed on top of the lobster rolls were handsome in portion. The size of the mini lobster rolls though are really small. I know, it says "mini" on the menu but seriously, it is really really tiny. The lobster itself tasted fresh rightfully seasoned with the buttered and toasted bread, yum! 3. Grilled Asparagus - (5 out of 5) Nothing to see here, they tasted fine lol. 4. Honey Glazed Salmon - (5 out of 5) From the appearance, it looks like the honey glazed salmon is burnt. However, once you cut into them and give it a bite, it is well seasoned and is extremely soft. The tenderness of the salmon tells me that they have master this dish down to a tee. Combined with a small portion of mash potatoes, a definite must try for any salmon fans. 5. Sweet Potato Fries - (4 out of 5) Sweet potato fries, I mean who can resist them at a restaurant like this? Yum! 6. Whole Grilled Branzino - (5 out of 5) The branzino was cooked in a similar fashion like the salmon. With the right amount of olive oil mixed in, the taste is as tender as ever while not being too strong in its seasoning. 7. Caramelized Banana Split - (5 out of 5) The caramel sugar on top of the banana is similar to what you would expect in the same fashion where a creme brulee would have it. Combined with the three scoops of vanilla ice cream is hard to resist at the end of our meal. 8. Service - (5 out of 5) Our waiter was top notch. He came around often and was friendly to chat with. My wife has a tendency to drink a lot of liquids during a meal and most of the times we had to flag people down in other restaurants on refills, not our waiter here! I think he kept coming back so much to fill her water that she had to tell him that she's good lol! My overall experience inside the Palm Court at RH has been excellent. You can tell RH has invested heavily to showcase why their stuff cost the way it does and this transforms to the restaurant as well. If you ask me what type of restaurant I would place the Palm Court at, I would say I categorize it as a place where the wealthy congregate for a nice brunch. It's not formal dining nor is it casual, it sits right in the middle as a restaurant with style. If you enjoy architecture and ambiance, this is not one to miss. The food is great but the menu can definite expand in my opinion. Give it a shot the next time you're close by, chances are you'll probably experience something more than you have imagined. At least that's what it was for us lol.

When you're paying a few hundred dollars for dinner, you expect to at least be able to relax and enjoy the evening. Instead, it felt entirely like a rushed cattle call. Barely five minutes after sitting down--while my husband was still in the restroom--the bartender was already hovering and demanding our order. Throughout the meal, the pacing was so frantic that we felt completely hurried out the door, surrounded by a wall-to-wall crowd that made it impossible to actually enjoy my husband's retirement dinner. The food itself is still good, but even the presentation has lost its touch. Gone are the days of getting your Yorkshire pudding served properly on a skillet; now it's just tossed right on top of your bread. To top it off, we ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was comically small--literally almost the size of a shot glass. It used to be such a memorable, special-occasion dining experience, but now it feels like they are just churning tables as fast as possible. Sadly, I'm not sure we'll be rushing back. Lemon drops are still amazing

I could have eaten a bowl of every ingredient individually, and together they were even better than the sum of the parts. We also had the curry chicken croquettes, citrus caesar, confit octopus, and gnocchi - all fantastic. And the drinks - next level. I had the Sam Fernando and it was dangerously drinkable, I had to order a second. A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

I wanted to take her to one more nice place before heading back home. Chef Tyler Florence's Miller & Lux next to the Chase Center in Mission Bay seemed like the best option. Parking was a bit challenging, as the spots across the street from Miller & Lux were five minute passenger loading only after 6pm. So I had to park in the stadium garage, which took about 10 minutes to find a spot and walk all the way back to the restaurant. From the moment we were escorted upstairs from the bar area, the service was top notch. Very congenial and accommodating. More importantly, my mom felt well-taken care of by the staff. They gave us our choice of a central booth or smaller table next to the expansive window overlooking Mission Bay. As we are both light eaters, we decided to share an order of the Filet Mignon and Tableside Caesar. After the soufflé-like bread puff and butter appetizer, the salad specialist rolled up his cart next to our table. He got busy mixing together mustard, Worcestershire sauce, shaved Parmesan, and several other ingredients then tossed it with neatly trimmed lettuce. Finally, he topped each salad with candied Meyer lemon, more shaved Parmesan, thin croutons and plump anchovies. There was also lemon zest dashed around the rim of the plate. I ate each leaf while instead of cutting it. Seemed easier that way. It had a nice balanced taste and was one of the better Caesar salads that I've had. The Filet Mignon was a bit rarer than the medium rare we requested. It had almost an Akami tuna like texture inside, which is not what you'd expect from beef. Possibly some aging broke it down to make it that smooth. They were very accommodating to take it back and fire it on the grill a little longer. It came back with the perfect amount of doneness. The horseradish sauce we added gave each bite a nice cream and spicy kick. We had an ode to the now extinct Orange Julius' signature flavor, orange and cream in the form of a soft serve sundae topped with a sugary macaroon and tart tangerines. It definitely brought back some memories. Thanks to the staff for making dinner for me and my mom a pleasant and enjoyable experience with their hospitality. For an upscale steakhouse and seafood establishment with exceptional service, Miller & Lux is a great option in the City.

We were greeted by the sommelier who opened up the wine bottle we brought and also made some recommendations. She also brought over the champagne cart and I started the evening with a glass of the Collet Brut which was crisp and refreshing. A perfect palate cleanser to start off with the appetizers. The complimentary pop over is still one of the most delicious treats ever! It was brought over with a classic butter and a flavored butter that were just to die for. Now of course, the caesar salad is still a must here!! Prepared tableside this is part show, part experience, and full flavor bomb. I love watching the dressing come together and the freshness of every ingredient being used. Just the aroma of the olive oil and parmesan cheese is amazing. The Caesar salad was dressed to perfection and perfectly crisp! Also got the oysters, because they were an absolute knock out the last time we were here. And still one of the best! It is quite literally the cleanest and freshest oyster I've ever had. Our waitress did an amazing job of explaining the whole menu in great detail. For dinner entree, we went with the ribeye, served with bone marrow to split between 2 with a side of the mac & cheese and accompanied with creamed horseradish to give the steak an extra kick. To be honest, that steak needs nothing extra. It is "melt in your mouth" tender and extremely flavor. I love the addition of the bone marrow because it enhances the richness of the steak. The mac & cheese is also very indulgent and rich. We were way too full for dessert so we went with a ball of the espresso gelato and were given complimentary carrot cake bites which were soooo gooodddd. I wish I wasn't full because they're pastry chef is the best! Hands down the place for a 5-star lux dining experience!
