My Chile Relleno & Chicken Enchilada
    Robert B.

Mexican food... Why is it when the woman brings out my plate, then literally tells me its very hot..I always immediately grab my fork and shove a large amount of rice & beans in my mouth knowing its hotter than the surface temperature of the sun...? Anyway, these folks were really nice, typical Mexican fare, great flavors. I had the chile relleno & chicken enchilada. They make the sauce to cover the relleno with huge chunks of tomato, so that added a big hearty flavor, which I really liked. Plenty to eat, constant refills of my ice tea & everyone in there was very happy. A great place & one to revisit.

A homey Mexican restaurant with lovely staff in a beautiful location. I have only been once but my partner has been going sporadically over the past decade. Both their veggie fajitas and cheese enchiladas are great. There is also such a feeling of community while inside. I don't know why yelp says it's permanently closed. I went 1/18/26 and it was open.

Wow one of the best Mexican restaurants they had amazing salas and anything we ordered was delicious chips were served hot and the service was amazing

I had the ground beef taco salad which was good, my husband had the ground beef taco, which was good as well. The salsa that comes with the chips was delicious, great flavor. Service was outstanding! It was a nice day so we sat outside on the patio. Nice atmosphere, we will go back!

Went for the chili Relleno this weekend but got the taco salad with chicken instead. It was good but not as good as the chili Relleno. Loved the crispy shell. As always the service was excellent and the salsa is good enough to drink. I got pics this time, but only after I deconstructed the salad.

    Number 5

Good portions, tasty food, really great service. Stopped by for dinner as it was walking distance from my hotel. Asked for a recommendation and was given number 5 with one item each of 3 different meats: clocked, pork and shredded beef. I think I liked the pork more than the other two personally. Going back I might try ground beef and the asada.

Carne Asada Burrito !! So good.

This is one of the few places open on a Sunday night in Kanab. When my wife and I arrived, around 5:30, it was spent getting busy. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to get seated. I ordered the plain carne asada (steak) burrito and the wife got the carnitas plate. Both were exceptional! I have eaten Mexican food all over the US and a few other countries and that has to be one of the best burritos I've ever eaten! My wife really enjoyed her plate too! The staff were very friendly and busting their butts to try to keep up. They were friendly and quick to bring us what we needed. My suggestion to them is to wait for the customer to finish speaking before running off. Would have saved them a few trips. I like that they already have a large carafe of ice water and delicious chips and salsa waiting for you when you are seated!!

Steak Chimichanga enchilada style with side of refried beans and rice

As others mentioned, one of the few places open on Sunday nights, unfortunately they are closed on Saturday's, but a decent trade off. We have been here a couple times now, and the place is consistent in a lot of ways! Family run, they have a small dining area and some large tables outside in a covered area. Parties over 4 need to eat out there unless the middle tables inside can be moved together. They are always on a wait pr packed, and do a ton of to go orders. The service is the only knock on this place and a small one. If you need something, you need to flag someone down as they tend to not come back to tables. Unfortunate, but is what it is. Steak chimichanga is my go to and they stuff it with beans, lettuce, and red enchilada sauce baked into the shell. It crunches like a cracker. The side of refried beans are money with a thin layer then melted cheese on top. The rice is the best, hands down...do bot skip the rice!! The chili verde tostado was also spot on, as anything is in green sauce out west!! See you next time my friends!

Such a cute lil place with killer food. I wish I could go all the time!…read more The staff is very young & I will admit - they somehow messed up every single one of our orders in at least one way. It was almost charming. They got away with it because they were kind & the food was that bomb. VEGAN & GLUTEN-FREE ALERT! I got the "popper" grilled cheese (jalapeño cream cheese, cheddar, red pepper flakes) on gluten-free bread with added bacon. I also got a tomato basil soup & a gluten-free s'mores cookie. Bomb, bomb, bomb, BOMB! So comforting & delicious, at a totally reasonable price point. I would go way out of my way to come back here again!

My sister and I were traveling for our birthday when we stopped by the Brown Box. Upon looking at…read morethe menu, we realized that they only serve grilled cheese. Which is delicious, but not what we were looking for at the time. We place our order at the register, and immediately the young woman ran to the back and started talking loudly about us with her coworker, saying "How stupid do you have to be to come here and not know we serve grilled cheese? It says it outside." I immediately looked around because it doesn't have any description of what they serve outside. I was truly appalled and upset by the customer service here. I've worked a job or two and I know how to complain about a customer, and you just don't do it when they're still within earshot. If their employees learn nothing else from this review, I hope that they learn how be rude and uncouth quietly. The lack of professionalism from these two young women will be the reason I do not return to this establishment. The disrespect was not worth my coins.

At other ice cream shops, we honestly never feel that comfortable asking for samples because sometimes the employees don't seem happy to give them out, or the sample is such a tiny bite that you can barely even taste the flavor But Kristal made us feel completely comfortable trying different ones. She actually told us, "If you're going to buy something, you might as well like it!" which was so sweet and made us feel so comfortable asking to try different flavors. We ended up getting a medium with two flavors, and the ice cream was really good too! Gabree was also there and she was super kind. Highly recommend stopping by, especially when these ladies are working! They made the whole experience so much better.

I was…read moreintrigued by the "bumbleberry", but ended up getting the early morning shuttle (or some variant of that name) -- which was coffee and a whole mix of other yummy things. The flavors altogether were delicious. I appreciated how creative they are with the flavor names. The waffle cone wasn't my favorite of waffle cones, but does the job in holding the ice cream without dripping. Service was pretty quick! They limit # of customers in front of the ice cream scooping area, so it doesn't get too crowded. If you're there to get non-ice cream things they can take your order before you get to the ice cream area. Didn't get a chance to sit because we were headed to dinner (got in my pre-dinner dessert hehe), but there's quite unique seating inside!
