    Hawaiian Pancakes
    Janee T.

I never thought I'd say this, but the best breakfast I've ever had was in Bakersfield! The Hawaiian pancakes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a nice crunch from the macadamia nuts, toastiness from the coconut, and just the right amount of sweetness from the bananas and sauce. My parents loved the spicy chicken and waffles and chilango Benedict. The complementary coffee cakes was a nice touch and just as delicious as everything else

Gluten free cinnamon roll pancakes, with a side of eggs and bacon and coffee.

My family and I went out to breakfast for the first time here after my husband found this place online for gluten free options (celiac friendly). As someone with celiac, it is stressful finding new spots to eat! Although not listed on their menu, they have many gluten free options and their kitchen staff is well-versed in preventing cross-contamination. They told me they could make any of their pancake options gluten free, and the waitress went to let the kitchen staff know so they could make their preparations. The pancakes were AMAZING, and huge. I ended up only being able to eat 1/4 of the pancake and take the rest home for the next day. Eggs and bacon were great too! My kids ended up ordering pancakes and bacon and they loved theirs- they're asking us to go back soon! The staff was very kind and helpful, and the wait time was not long when we were there on a Saturday morning around 11. The coffee was also delicious. This is a great family breakfast spot!

Best Pancakes in town. Food is always consistent and tasty. And service is always friendly and attentive. Sarah was especially pleasant during our last visit. It's a very comfortable setting. And the fishing decor is great. Looking for a place for a solid breakfast this is the spot.

    Korean gochujang chicken and waffles

We come here often and that speaks volumes. I will not go somewhere I do not like. My favorite thing about this place is the monthly specials. I just have to try something from it every time I go. Our waitress was really great and helped me decide which special I wanted to try this time around. I went withthe Caprese Frittata served with the fresh watermelon salad. This was so dang delicious! My only gripe was the sneak attack of Serrano chiles in the watermelon salad. Whew were they spicy! I didn't see them mentioned on the menu but I honestly could've overlooked it. I like spice but Serrano chilies are a bit much for me. About halfway through the small bowl of salad I began taking the chilies out lol. My mother decided to get the Korean gochujang chicken and waffles and she absolutely loved them. My daughter got the pancake flight which had a cinnamon roll waffle, a strawberry and cream waffle and a peaches and cream waffle. Her favorite was the strawberry and cream one with the peaches and cream a close second. We were also given warm cinnamon coffee cake bread to start everything off that was amazing! This place continuously delivers and that will keep me coming back time and time again! Can't wait to see what the specials are next month.

Hash browns with gravy on top
    Danny C.

Came in here for a quick easy breakfast, just wanted a side of hash browns with some gravy on top with some sourdough toast. The hash browns had such a perfect buttery taste and the gravy was perfect on top. Service was above par and never let drinks go below half way.

Chilaquiles & Eggs with Chile and Verde Chilango Benedict
    Vanessa F.

Amazing! my family and I come here very often and we always love it! We got the Chilango Benedicts and the Verde Chilaquiles and both were great. I recommend the shrimp cajun omelette and any of their pancakes and the hash browns extra crispy. The service is always good too, waitresses are always very nice. The only thing I would say could be better is that some dishes could use a little more salt.

Chilaquiles were not too bad, they could've used a little more sauce to liven things up. I was seated pretty quickly at the bar, and the waitress was attentive. They had pictures of the kern river over the bar so it was nice to look at while I ate my breakfast. Good food, good vibes.

    Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

This place is good. I went on a Monday morning and it was a little busy but the wait wasn't too bad. I had the regular eggs Benedict and my friend had the breakfast burrito. We shared the cinnamon roll pancakes. The pancakes were amazing. I highly recommend them. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The eggs Benedict was good as well; the eggs were perfectly cooked, however, the ham was a bit too salty. I took some of it off my dish. The service was fantastic, our waitress was welcoming and friendly.

4.2 stars Because: - hash browns could've been more crunchy and less falling apart - toast was smothered in butter (it was overwhelming) + service was great! Things got to us pretty quick considering the rush on a Weds morning (10:30am ish) Definitely a good pit stop for some breakfast in Bakersfield!

Always such a good place to have breakfast at. Food is delicious, ESPECIALLY the beignets which are always a must. Servers are always kind and tend to you always. I also joined to rewards program for free and got a free birthday 15 dollars off which is cool. Ambiance is friendly and welcoming. Overall such a good place to take anyone.

If you love breakfast foods, you definitely can't go wrong by going here. I always struggle with what to choose because everything is so good! If you have a sweet tooth, the B-N-W waffle which has banana, Nutella, and walnuts for the toppings would be a great choice. The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. The servers are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you're satisfied with your food/drinks.

We never been here so we just picked randomly on the menu! We got their Three Flight Mimosas with Original, Cranberry, & Strawberry. They were pretty good and refreshing. We also got the Banana and Berry Pancakes and made it a combo to get eggs and sausages in the side, the "Hot Mess" which is two pancakes, a waffle, a chicken, French toast, and an egg stacked on top of one another, and potatoes on the side! The food was amaaazing. Shout out to the chefs today because there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. Seasoning was great, cooked great, it was filling, pancakes were soft, it hit the spot! And our waitress Crystal was the sweetest. She was doing a great job taking care of us and many others in the dining room. It was also kept clean, the employees made sure to clean up ASAP when someone left, they're all working hard. 10/10 experience.

The vibes in the new space are absolutely immaculate. There is so much more energy here, and the decorations are incredibly cute. It's the perfect backdrop for a killer meal. The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

I immediately noticed that my favorite dish, the shakshuka eggs, was no longer on the menu. Thinking it might just be a seasonal change, I decided to try something different. I ordered the carrot ginger soup, beet and goat cheese salad, and my usual favorite cocktail, the Pear Necessities. The cocktail was the first disappointment. It tasted completely different from what I've come to enjoy, none of the smoky mezcal flavor and none of the sweetness from the pear liquor that made it a favorite. I figured it might just be a new bartender and tried to brush it off. The carrot ginger soup was just okay. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

SMITTENS STAPLE IS THEIR ABILITY TO MISS THE FLAVOR IN EVER SINGLE DISH…read more Update: coming back after some palate development... smitten is one of the most tasteless restaurants in town. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
