Service is horrendous. Especially the manager. They left an item out of my order and then when I called the next day to rectify the situation they only apologized and refunded the money for the item. I expect more from customer service. I asked them to go above and beyond for ruining my meal by leaving an item off my pickup order. I've been to this location multiple times...EXCLUSIVELY for the Hoppy Hour 3-6pm on weekdays! The Eureka Burger & fries for $10 is a freaking STEAL. Add on a $5 beer on tap and you've got a complete meal in a great atmosphere for under $20. IT'S GREAT! Service is always prompt & friendly and they're always sympathetic about getting your orders in before HH ends. The only thing I don't love about this Eureka is the terrible parking. The lot itself is big but they sometimes block off certain rows...for valet? Very confusing. Add an extra 5-10 minutes when planning to come here to search for parking. We visited Eureka in Santa Clara for the first time on 11/22/2023 with a 6:30 reservation for 6 people. What a great experience. This restaurant ambience is a very classy casual place with a dark tone and a great place for conversation. Our server was awesome and everyone at our table had various items; however, I can tell you everyone enjoyed what they have. For drinks, I had a drink called "the Floor is Lava" what is a bitter drink with a bit of sweetness. For my main entree, I had the Cowboy Burger which was with bacon, cheddar, shoestring onion rings and bbq sauce. It was delicious. In an area (heck the whole town) that shuts down by 9pm, they are out here slinging decent food and better drinks until 10 or 11 every night. Unlike the brewery in the same plaza the food here kinda slaps and if you are a whiskey fan the selection here is pretty well cultivated and focused. Puesto and Flemings have some pretty good whiskeys, but neither has staff that familiar with those spirits as much. Pricing is on par with the counter service mid tier burger joints but with much better service. read more

Came to Eureka around 6pm on a Tuesday night. I honestly didn't expect it to be busy, but we had to wait about ~10 minutes. We got seated in a nice big booth for 3 people which was nice! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for a starter, and it was delicious! I also tried the watermelon homemade Fresca and I liked it as well. For our main meals my friend and I got burgers, and my boyfriend got the fish and chips. The only issue we had was my friend wanted her burger medium well and it came out medium rare. Luckily, the server immediately took it back and the manager came out and said they were making a new one. It only took about 10 minutes and then a new one came out. Checked out this location in Santa Clara Square. It's in a pretty busy shopping center, so parking can be a bit tricky during peak mealtime hours. The restaurant itself provides a nice open space with a bar in the middle. They also have an outdoor patio if you prefer to sit outside. One thing that really surprised me were their Grilled Chicken Nachos! It comes with tortilla chips loaded with black beans, avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, red onions, cheese, jalapenos, chipotle sauce, and crema. The chipotle sauce has a little kick, but it's really yummy! They give a pretty generous portion as well. For starters, we also got the Crispy Glazed Brussels Sprouts. The orange chile glaze has quite a strong flavor. It's also topped with chimichurri and almonds. The Guac and Queso Duo Dip is another fun one! They come with a generous amount of chips, and bonus tip: try mixing them together! Really enjoyed their unique burger offerings! We got their 28 Day Dry-Aged Bone Marrow Burger, which has limited availability. The bone marrow shiitake butter is so decadent and full of umami flavor. It pairs well with the grilled onion and roasted tomato. Thankfully, the horseradish mustard aioli isn't overbearing. We also got the Fresno Fig Burger that has fig marmalade, goat cheese, bacon, tomato, red onion, arugula, and spicy porter mustard. Another loaded but well-balanced burger! I thought the burger tasted very good! I got the Frenso Fig Burger and I highly recommend the order. The veggies provided the perfect hit of greens on a warm day, and the meat was cooked exactly to my liking. I also tasted the sweet fig and felt very fulfilled after my meal! The only reason for a lower rating was due to the duration it took to receive my meal. I believe we entered the restaurant around 12:50 and did not get served our order till around 1:50. Although that duration is fine, the restaurant had an abundance of open seating and it was confusing because it did not look busy. I first had Eureka! when I was in San Luis Obispo, and it was one of my go to's for a good, gourmet burger. I was so happy to see that a new location opened up in Santa Clara right across the street from my favorite Whole Foods. I placed an order to go for 2 Cowboy Burgers, Sherry Braised Riblets, and the Starter Salad (total came out to be abut $55 before tip). By the time I got home, everything was still hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the burger and the crispy shoestring onions. The quality of the salad could've been better since I did pick out some wilted pieces of lettuce here and there. I wasn't blown away by the riblets appetizer, but it was my first time trying it. I will stick to their other appetizers since I know those are all solid choices that I have tried before. The person working the front area was very friendly and helpful when I placed my order over the phone. He also made sure the sauces I ordered on the side were in my bag when I arrived, and he personally went back to the kitchen to retrieve the missing ones that didn't make it in there the first time, which I greatly appreciated.
