This place is magical. It's like stepping out of Black Diamond into Germany as you walk into this magnificently decorated German restaurant. Everything was perfect. Our server Lisa was as professional as you get. Very courteous and friendly. And the food of course was just like being back in Germany. I thoroughly enjoyed the jagerschnitzel and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the sauerbraten. And we topped off dinner with apple strudel which could only be made by a precious German. This place is truly a hidden gem!! We were ecstatic to find an authentic German food fairly close to us. The restaurant is charming with all the woodwork for the tables and chairs. Our host was very kind and welcoming. We ordered Perogis both with potatoes and with meat. Sausage duets were yummy-- hey just take my word and believe everything was wonderful. From all of side dishes to the beef rouladen and schnitzels. What a yummy delight. We even got a complimentary German chocolate cake since it was my hubby's birthday. How generous. A cute authentic Polish and German restaurant! We went on a Saturday. It can get busy so I suggest making reservations a few hours or so before just to make sure. This is the best hidden gem of black diamond, WA! The owner will come out and chat with you while his wife is back cooking. The same two amazing waitresses are there and they are super friendly! I went here for my birthday and I felt welcomed and right at home. Now the food....it was amazing! We had the cabbage soup, hangover soup, perogies, cabbage rolls, German platter and some amazing breaded pork! The best thing is you can tell everything is homemade and picked out beautifully. Found Europa by accident on a Monday afternoon. They were (unfortunately) empty, but it was still mid-afternoon and we're still in the grips of social distancing, so hopefully that isn't always the case. This charmingly-decorated place deserves to be packed with customers. But I digress. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel with Spatzle and cucumber salad for take-out. All were served up quickly and with a smile. I wish I'd gotten the server's name...she was excellent and deserves the praise. Food was perfect! I have absolutely zero negative comments to make on it. Just as I remember it. Everything was outstanding and it made me homesick for Frankfurt am Main. Go... go now!!! This little slice of heaven hidden away near Maple Valley will blow your mind! We made a reservation for 6 people the day of on a Friday evening ... points for that! We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and immediately seated as our table was waiting for us. I noticed the decor right away as it completely added to the experience. There was a roaring fire, it was a rainy night, and everything from the tables and chairs to the flowers and decorations made me feel as if I was in Germany. The menu had many options but not so much that one would become overwhelmed. Our waitress was amazing and helped us navigate the menu. So many great options at this restaurant and the service can't be beat. The owner/cook came out and visited with our party of 16 and had great suggestions. The schnitzel I had was a little bit spicy and crispy just like it's supposed to be. Everyone in our party had great time celebrating a birthday. They were in no rush to push us out the door either even though we were there on a Saturday evening. It really did remind me of one of those ma and pa restaurants you run across while driving though the Bavarian countryside. I've had better German food at higher prices but this reasonably priced restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and cool ambiance was extremely enjoyable. I will go back again one of these days. I really enjoyed my time here. I've ordered take out and have eaten in once. The service was okay, not super quick on refills but there seemed to be only one waitress during the lunchtime and there was a big party in the back. My only complaint is that the apple strudel seemed like it was microwaved and was really unappetizing. read more

Being the first time eating here we went with the German staples of Jager Schnitzel and Sauerbraten. Both were excellent. The spaetzle is homemade. If I could give 10 stars for this place I would! We'll start with the food. I was stuck between getting the sausage duet and the polish platter but ultimately my waitress helped me decide on the polish platter and I couldn't have been more pleased. My meal consisted of a cabbage role, four pierogis, kielbasa and purée potatoes. I've never been a big German food person but I think this place might have changed that. The kielbasa was so juicy and so flavorful, the pierogis (two sausage and two cheese) were delicious, and the cabbage role was to die for. I'd never had a cabbage role and wasn't expecting much of it, but there are so many wonderful textures and flavor that combine perfectly. I also want to say that the staff is AMAZING! Our waitress was so kind and so attentive and she was so patient through all of our questions. Before we left we got to meet the owner. He was the sweetest man with the strongest accent and had the best sense of humor when my mother in law asked about their corking fee. I'm always looking for new places new home to try or order out from and this place is easily going to become a favorite! read more

I stumbled upon this place when I was driving around Black Diamond, and am so glad I did. It's not located in the downtown area of BD nor are there very many businesses around it, but the drive here was well-worth it. Once you step in you are immediately transformed into Little Bavaria! I could easily see this place being in Leavenworth, with its lodge decor. But the best part is the food. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel with Sauerkraut, and it was beyond good. I came here really hungry, having skipped breakfast so decided to order the entree instead of a lunch special, which would be half of the entree schnitzel. But even as hungry as I was I could not finish the behemoth size of the entree! It's huge! However, even though I knew I couldn't finish my meal, I kept wanting more and more and forced myself to take bites of it because it was so yummy! (I ended up taking half home, which ended up being dinner.) The service was also excellent. The waitress can go over any questions you have about the menu since most of the items are German or Polish dishes, and she was very attentive. She also told me that the owners are Polish, but had lived in Germany hence their authentic cooking. The food also comes out fast, so I didn't have to wait very long for it. There is outside seating, and a table fit for a large party. I will be back every time I'm around this neck of the woods. read more

We ate here again tonight. I always forget to give them a Yelp review because they're local, but they cook up the Best German/polish/European cuisine you are going to find in the entire area! The atmosphere is laid back (building used to house a local BBQ restaurant, still has the deer, elk & moose heads on the wall). Folks here are friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your meal. My fav has to be their jaeger schnitzel, my wife loves the royal pork chop. Both portions are large enough to take 1/2 Home. But, save room for dessert! The German chocolate cake is homemade by the owner Greg's daughter, but sorry Greg, the lemoncello torte is definitely our go to dessert here! Come out to the countryside and give it a try.
