worst service ever I have seen in this first Indian restaurant, no one was there to take your order, only one employee in busy Friday evening time. Even for food we have order few items like buttermilk and waited for 20 minutes and when we remind them, they said no one is available to make it. second item for onion kulcha didn't cook inside, they just send us uncooked dough. If you're looking for really fresh and really good Indian food in the area look no further! This place is delicious! We stopped in on a Thursday night and the place was dead. I was a bit nervous but saw lots of folks starting to come in for to-go orders. Our sweet waitress got to us right away and took our wine and Samosa order. The wine was actually very good and the samosas were some of the best I've had. For dinner, we got a variety of vegetarian dishes: Paneer Tikka Masala, Yellow Dal Tadka, Saag Paneer, and Veggie Korma. I eat A LOT of Indian and these dishes were spot on and so very fresh!! The only one that let me down a bit was the Korma, however - they took it back and redid the dish to my liking (thicker sauce with more spice) - which was super cool of them! The naan and rice were cooked perfectly as well. They are flexible in adjusting the menu and indian dishes according to the customer request or taste in a big gathering during the Diwali party that are arranged here with few group of families from orange county, SanDiego county and LA county. First things first - this restaurant is criminally understaffed (in all fairness, perhaps they had sick calls that night, and/or could not afford to hire more staff - I dunno). During my visit, there were only 2 staff members on-duty to serve all the customers (by my estimation, approximately 40-50 on average at any given moment). This span of control was ridiculous, and as a result, it took quite a while for me to get a table, and then quite another while for me to get an order placed. That said, the service picked up in speed as time went on. The younger of the 2 servers was very friendly, and she was generally pretty good about keeping tabs on what I needed. The older one was rather unflinchingly stern in her demeanor at first (granted, she wasn't anywhere as harsh as Margaret Bowman from Hell or High Water), but I eventually got her to crack a smile after a while. Based on the magnificent aromas that confronted me upon entry, I knew I was going to be in for a treat once I started eating - and I was not disappointed - the food here is delicious! I started off with Veg MoMos - they were satisfying, but I admittedly found the accompanying Tomato Achar to be excessively spicy for my palate (many glasses of water were needed). My entrée of Lamb Makhani was served mild at my request (thankfully, I was asked how spicy I wanted it during ordering) - and it proved to be an extremely heavenly and flavorful dish, without being too overwhelming in spiciness! I ordered Mango Rice Pudding for dessert (oddly, it showed up as Kheer on my bill, but I'm pretty sure they gave me the correct Mango dessert) - it was a very appropriate, cooling, and not-overly-sweet way to conclude my savory dinner. Soooooo ... regarding the always-divisive-and-controversial chin diaper situation ... the restaurant does in fact have a "mask required" sign at the front door, but I did also notice that none of the staff appeared to be wearing masks, and some of the folks walking about inside the restaurant were not wearing them either. I saw no admonishments rendered, so I'm assuming the sign is simply not being enforced. Take that for whatever and however you will. On a wryly humorous (or perhaps *not*-so-humorous) note for my LGBTQIA+ friends - from the dining area, one can see a door with an "ALL-GENDER RESTROOM" sign above it. However, once you open the door to that room and walk in, you will *not* in fact enter an all-gender restroom - rather, you will have entered an antechamber, at which point you will then be presented with a choice of two further doors - one marked "MEN" and one marked "WOMEN". I dunno man, I feel like they could have been clearer about our options here. xD On the plus side, parking was not difficult to obtain, which is always a nice trait for an eatery to have. read more

I'm so glad I decided to try out Everest! I got a vegetarian momo order that came with 10 pieces of piping hot steamed Indian/Nepalese dumplings, stuffed with tofu, carrots, and other fillings. It was a little spicy, but delicious. The momos were packed with flavor so you don't have to dip them in the traditional tomato sauce it comes with. The sauce wasn't bad... but the momos were good on their own. I also got their garlic naan which was a large order of 4 big pieces. The garlic naan was tasty also but I wish it had more butter lol. The cashier/owner was very pleasant and efficient, and had my food ready upon arrival. The decor on the inside of the restaurant was cute and gave off a nice ambience. It is quite spacious, and they can accommodate a wedding or birthday party. They also offer catering services as well. I will definitely come back to try their other dishes next time. The food here is always good, and my family and I often get the saag paneer which is very delicious. The curry comes out hot as always with white rice that is fluffy and delicious. The naan bread is also good, though you have to order it on the side. The food is overall incredible, however the wait times can be from 30 minutes to almost an hour. My friend and I ended up ordering the Chicken Tikka Masala along with Butter Chicken as well as Rice, Garlic, Samosas and Plain Naan. I love Indian food and Himalayan food is sort of Indian but different. It's spicer than I'm use to and very flavorful. It's my first time having Himalayan food but I've had Indian several times and if you place this in the Indian category this is the best Indian food I've had. The nann is light and chewy. It's not doughy but thin and slightly crispy.I preferred the butter naan over garlic but both was good. The buffet is small with a few options but it's really quality over quantity. All the mountain spices! That's right! Mostly all of their dishes are seasoned with their mountain spices which make their food insanely delicious! Whenever we are craving spicy, yummy, Nepalese food (similar to Indian food) this is our go to place! First of all you have to get their Momo dumplings, which are nice and juicy and a pretty good size. They are cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce they are served with is very tasty. My bf and I really enjoy the Matter Paneer which is cheese with green peas in a curry sauce! Yum! Their chicken tikka is also one of our favorites here. This time we wanted to try their Yak chilli ($15) which is a house special but unfortunately they were out so we went with their goat curry. They have levels of spicy ranging from 1 to 10 and we went with an 8/9 spice level for the goat curry. Let me tell you it was nice and spicy and had a good kick, but I think next time we will go with a level 7! First time trying this spot and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Arrived around 8pm on a Wednesday evening. There were two small groups inside celebrating birthdays. Chill decor and interior. Wait staff consisted of a woman (the owner maybe?) and a male server/helper. Things were a bit slow but expected as it seemed staff was minimal but overall, experience was nice. Chill, relaxed, slow pace, private and enjoyable. I feel this style is not traditional Indian flavors. The Indo flavors really play a huge role. So almost like Indian fusion but easy on the fusion. I have had legit Indian food and the flavor profiles with these dishes were quite different. I ordered a bunch of items with a level 7 spice level. Checked in on Yelp and got free veggie pakoras and they were delicious. They were out of Cauliflower so swapped it out for aloo chili. Everything was delicious and actually had a nice kick. Maybe next time I'll try a level 10 since I have a high spice tolerance and enjoy a lovely kick. Ordered the following: - veggie momos: they were just ok. A bit cold. The lady informed us they may be out but they had some. Probably wouldn't order again or maybe gotta go earlier in the day. I popped in here on a whim and I'm so happy I did! At lunch they offer a buffet and you can also order off the regular menu. I told the hostess that I've never been there before and she showed me everything at the buffet, which also came with a beverage, and she explained what everything was because I wasn't familiar with everything that was offered. She was so friendly and sweet to do that for me! So I ended up choosing the $20 buffet because I couldn't decide what to order. I'm not normally a fan of buffets, but everything seemed fresh and while I was there I saw it was being replenished often. Everything I tried was delicious, but I didn't care for the goat curry and that's not a slam on them it's just that I personally don't care for goat. Oh my goodness we had a wonderful first time dinner at this restaurant last weekend. The food was delicious and making my mouth water thinking of it now. We had samosas to start, followed by okra, eggplant and vegan curry dishes, served with rice and rotis. All vegan, uber delicious. I have eaten at countless Indian restaurants over the years and this food was a cut above! There was a party singing live music which increased our enjoyment during our visit. Lunch date with the hubs... we were undecided on where to go and went on a Yelp search which landed us at Everest Cuisine. Down a few blocks from us and we never knew it existed. My hubs loves Indian food but our kids don't so we took the opportunity while we were kid-free... we sure are glad we did. Everest is "fine dining of Indian, Nepal and Tibet" cuisine. Indian and Nepal are pretty similar in their flavors. Tibet is more of Indo-chinese that has some familiar chinese dishes that have a bit more of a curry flavor to it. The decor inside is very traditional to the India/Nepal/Tibet people. Very vibrant colors. Inside is pretty big, enough for a nice party reception. No outdoor dining. There was a Yelp Check In offer for free Vegetable Pakoras. It was a full order with so much on it. It is similar to veg tempura but the batter has more seasoning... curry or tumeric, maybe? Either way, it was delish. The batter was light and not oily at all. There were different kinds of veggies and they were all very good. We also the chicken curry, looked like it wasn't much but it was very filling. Hubs struggled to finish it especially after the pakoras. My hubs ate the whole thing and said the flavor was spot on. Paired well with the garlic naan which was good as well. Not too oily and was loaded with garlic... exactly how we like it. I ordered the Chicken Thali, which was described to me by the waitress as similar to a "lunch special" with a variety of items you get to try. The Thali was served on a metal tray with 6 compartments separating out the different dishes. In the center was a mound of basmati rice that was a bit too "al dente" for me. The middle of the rice tasted uncooked so I didn't really touch it; which was a blessing in disguise as I try not to eat too much rice these days. I prefer to eat everything with naan anyways (I know, not much better lol). There was a pickled radish dish that I did not care for, it was a bit bitter so I didn't get past the second taste. The Saag Paneer was good, this is a spinach puree with chunks of paneer cheese. (Think artichoke/spinach dip) It was well balanced and dippable with the naan. The lentil dish was ok but I don't favor lentil so it wasn't my favorite. My hubs said it was good as he is a lentil fan. The best was the two chicken dishes. The Tandoori Chicken was topped with freshly Caramelized onions and peppers. I squeezed a bit of lime to it and it married the flavors together perfectly. The chicken was nicely charred and was not dry at all. The Chicken Tikka Masala was my absolute favorite, definitely a MUST try. Chicken breast that is moist and soaked in a tomato-onion creamy marsala sauce with all the exotic flavors you wish to find in this type of cuisine. I tried the Pistachio traditional Indian ice cream because... I mean, pistachio! I had to try it. Unfortunately, it did not pack the flavor I expected. It was barely a hint of pistachio taste and that was mainly because I used my imagination lol... really tasted just like vanilla. Over all, LOVED this place and will most defs be back. Used to be a local in this area, and have always seen this spot on Yelp but never realized where it was. Located in the same plaza as Esther's Taco Shop and Jack in the Box. The restaurant is very cute. Very colorful decorations and flowers on each table. Came by for lunch to try out their buffet, but they still did not have it. Totally cool with me cause I really wanted to try out their Thali and their momo's. I have never had momo's before but have seen so many different people trying them and they just look so good. I grew up eating dumplings so I was curious how this would be different from the dim sum I had. To start things off, when the momo's came out, they looked exactly like gyozas from the bag. I was a little hesitant and was worried these were just your typical gyozas. Luckily, I was wrong. They were filled with an array of spices. Not as juicy as I would like for a dumpling but so flavorful. The wrapped on the outside was tender and fresh. The sauce that came with them was so delicious. Had a slight kick and many warm spices. They had many thali options; lamb, goat, goat with bone, fish (tilapia), chicken, and vegetarian. I chose the goat with bone. The thali was a very generous portion and came with your choice of naan. I chose garlic naan. Naan was made fresh, wish it had a bit more garlic and butter. It tasted pretty plain. The thali came with two pieces of tandoori chicken topped with freshly Caramelized onions and peppers, and a side of lime. A nice squeeze of lime juice helped bring a pop of acidity to go with the spice. The chicken was nicely charred and flavored. The goat curry with bone, was delicious. Absolutely melt in your mouth tender. The curry itself was so flavorful and I loved mixing the basmati rice with it. The goat curry didn't have too much spice and had such a wonderful sauce to it. The paneer saag was nice and fresh, bright green with generous chunks of fresh paneer cheese. The saag was delicious mixed with the rice or topped on the naan. A little bit salty, but overall so good. The texture of the saag was perfect. Not too watery. My favorite had to be the stewed lentils. Omg I literally would come here just for this dish. It had so much flavor in each bite. I loved the stewed lentils and would get it again. Everything I had was so fresh and delicious! Prices were fair and service was great! Beautiful authentic Indian food at family-owned restaurant. I got the garlic naan and shahi paneer with a side of rice. The garlic naan was freshly baked and crispy, but could use a bit more seasoning. The shahi paneer though was legendary. Creamy and sweet, it was the perfect complement to the rice.
