We hired EZ Moving twice already for our move. First one on 2/24/21 and the second one on 3/29/21. We had a great experience both times. All movers showed up with masks on and kept them on throughout the move. 2/24/21 Review: The first time was for an unload only of 5 U-Haul boxes. We had 2 movers, Ezra and Otgoo. They were prompt and came within the time range they said they would. They were very quick unloading and they also assembled one bed. One U-Haul box was full of boxes so that was pretty easy to empty. The other U-Haul boxes had two sets of sofas, bedroom furniture, desks, dining room table/chairs, and misc garage stuff. They were very careful with unloading and placing the furniture where we wanted. Both Ezra and Otgoo were very professional with a great attitude, and did a great job. Thank you Ezra and Otgoo! 3/29/21 Review: We had 2 movers, Sean and Eric, that came to do our move. They were prompt, came on time within the range they said they would. We had two stops to pickup furniture and then to the final destination. The first stop was fairly quick, to pickup a china cabinet, fridge, big screen TV, exercise bike, desk, set of chairs, and misc outdoor pots. They were very careful with everything. They wrapped the furniture in blankets and plastic wrap. They were very careful with the corners with extra padding. The second stop was more time intensive. They had to disassemble the bed frames, remove a door to remove washer/dryer, and move more items, which they all had to be wrapped. But again, they were very careful with everything. They were very good at packing the truck, Tetris style! They used every usable space to pack it. Final stop went quick! Unloading, unwrapping, and assembling furniture went so much faster. It was a long day for them, but they were very professional with a great attitude, and did a very good job. Had I have known, I would have hired more movers for that day. They probably could have used an extra body or two to help with the move. That day was a hot day in the SF Valley, but both Sean and Eric, hustled to get the job done. Thank you Sean and Eric! If you've been shopping around for different quotes, then look no further than Jay and his team from EZ Movers. Jay was incredibly responsive and respectful even from the first conversation we had when he offered the initial quote. My wife & I initially ended up choosing a different moving company just based on price, but after dealing with terrible communication / customer service from the original moving company leading up to our move date, we cancelled with that company and went back to Jay who was more than happy to accommodate us once more, which is more surprising considering we reached out late in the evening just a few days prior to the actual move. Jay was able to provide us a quote which gave a breakdown of the cost and estimated timing for the move, which was a little over 5 hours to move from Marina del Rey to Cerritos (~30 miles). For the actual move, they showed up on time and provided call and text confirmations confirming when they were nearby. Jay and his team were very professional in moving all of our boxed items, wrapping all of our bigger furniture to avoid any damages, and boxing any smaller items. They were also very friendly and followed proper COVID-protocol by wearing masks at all times. Major kudos to the team as well when delivering our couch - unfortunately it did not fit in the elevator at the new location, so Jay and his team carried it up several flights of stairs to the 5th floor, yet still remained very respectful, friendly, and COVID-safe throughout all these interactions. No hidden fees - the quote they provided was accurate to what the end result was. Overall, my wife & I were stressed out about this move, largely because of the terrible communication from the other company that we were considering, and Jay and his team made us feel very confident from the get-go that they were going to deliver on great results. tl;dr: Stop looking at other moving companies and go with Jay's team. I probably spoke to around 20 different moving companies about moving a large dining set, and no one else came remotely close in terms of price and transparency of what is and isn't included in the cost. Scheduling the move was really easy and I got an email and text confirmation of my scheduled move. There was a delay day of due to an issue with the truck but they were very apologetic and so great keeping me updated and checking in frequently to make sure the new timing would work out. Ezra and Ayush helped pick up the dining set and were happy to help me grab a fridge from a 3rd nearby location. They were incredibly friendly and professional and SO FAST. They took care to wrap and unwrap my items and then load and unload them without damaging anything, all within the estimated time. One thing to improve though is the truck to have those lifts coz that help a lot moving big heavy stuff. But aside from that, it's the best moving company I've used. EZ Moving is by far one of the best moving companies we've used. We moved several times over the years and I've learned to be skeptical of claims on websites and reviews. We selected EZ because they offered a very competitive rate, and we're highly reviewed. They didn't have as many reviews as some of the other companies, but they gave us the best quote so we decided to take a chance on them. EZ was definitely true to its name. The team was super friendly, courteous, respectful, attentive, and most of all careful. They were also fast! I wish that that I could point out something that they could have done better to make this review more believable, but there're really nothing that I can complain about. I even made the mistake of asking them to Put Put move a dresser upstairs instead of downstairs, and they just laughed it off and said that it was fine. The movers were nice enough but they got 3 parking tickets during our move that we had to pay. I just assumed movers knew where they can park because it's a job they do everyday so we didn't think we would have to do that for them. They also said before hand that they can unhook appliances to move them. But once there they said they could not do that. So my husband spent an hour trying to figure out how to move the washer dryer and unhook them himself. After an hour of waiting they then said they could unhook the appliances. That added an hour to our very tiring day and an extra hour of cost. Some furniture was wrapped only in plastic so it was damaged. We were so tired by end of day that we asked them to just put everything on the bottom floor room of the new place. It was many days of finding box's we need that are at the bottom back of a room with boxes piled as high as our heads. Many fragile boxes at the bottom. We were so exhausted by the end. I do not recommend, was not a good experience sadly. read more

(We went from just needing help with loading the truck to requiring 4 hours of transport and unloading as well. Merey was able to make those necessary changes and also provided us with a great price. Our movers Kira and Victor arrived on time and were very careful with all of our furniture and belongings. They worked quickly and efficiently. When we arrived at our new place, we realized there were more stairs up to the apartment than we originally thought. So so so impressed and grateful for these movers! They did an amazing job in what felt a record amount of time. Super affordable, professional, and took all of the health precautions (wore masks and maintained safe distance). These champs moved me from a second story condo to another second story with a narrow hallway and they did it with ease! We've had other movers in the past who add hidden or last minute charges for these sort of things. The delivery people who brought up our furniture (not these movers) also complained! I wish I could give this business a better rating but i just can't and don't want others to have the same experience. 1st after the gentleman came out to assess what needed to be move and get a big enough truck, on the day of the move I could see he was worried. We left with the reassurance that everything was fine. After 6 hours, two over the quoted hours we received a call that not everything fit. We were already in our state of destination. 2. When he arrived the next day at the location of delivery he presented me with a bill that was $500.00 over the quoted amount without delivering all of my belongings. With all my stuff in the truck and not unloaded yet, I had no choice.No discount for not meeting the agreed upon contract. 3. We had to drive back to California and rent a U-Haul to get the rest of our stuff. 4. After all this they still expected and requested a tip for each individual mover which was a total of 6 people. Needless to say I was disappointed with the whole experience. They were friendly and it's a newer business and I went based on the prior reviews. read more

They worked efficiently and communicated when they needed clarification about what to pack up and where to place boxes and furniture at my new location. *UPDATE* EZ moving contacted us and they were really nice and apologetic about the issues. They gave us a very generous discount and promised to fix the issues. Great customer service!! I wrote a really long review about this moving company but I decided to keep it short and sweet. -Pros- They packed up everything really nicely and made sure to take special care of everything. -Cons- We were quoted an arrival time of between 2 and 4pm and they showed up right at 4pm. They technically kept their word but it's always frustrating when companies do this. It took them 5 HOURS to move a small 700 square foot one bedroom apartment from WeHo to Valley Village. They did quote us 5 hours and 45 minutes BUT it took her previous moving company three hours to move her entire places so we we made sure to have everything packed up and ready to go when they arrived but it still took way too long. When my girlfriend paid they also tried to charge her for the entire quoted time instead of the 5 hours it took (they weren't supposed to charge for drive time but you can only fight so many battles). The mover just said oops yea this happens sometimes and had to call his boss to get approval to not charge us for that extra time. The final and probably worst thing was when we tipped the movers $40 (10%) one of the movers stormed out and the other mover (who was nice about it at least) said that his partner was mad because they expect a 20% tip at least. We had researched this and read a handful of articles about what to tip movers and almost every one said 5-10% or $20 each was a good tip for movers. I was at a loss for words honestly but what can you do. There are so many really great moving companies out there and I probably wouldn't recommend this one mainly because of how slow the move was.
