The restaurant itself was very cute. The staff were very pleasant and our waiter Massimo was great! I love Italian food and it has good rating so i figured why not try this place. I ordered the bruschetta and I was a bit disappointed because the bread was not crunchy and the tomatoes were so so. I ordered the pesto gnocchi and was slightly disappointed. The gnocchi was kinda chewy, my friend ordered the chicken piccata which was better than the pesto IMO. I enjoyed my jalapeño martini and the Pinot was nice. The tiramisu was good but their limoncello cake was refreshing, light and delish! I was not impressed but I would go back and try something different. The parking was a little tricky to find but they have a parking lot which is great. We were in the area for a show at the Pantages theater which is walking distance.

and my son order it's steak is was super bad just peace of meet with no flavor at all. service was , ok. But the prices are super high, $175 for 2 of this plates Grilled Skirt Steak. And salmon with shrimps , very bad experiencia, i have eaten at rusty pelican in newport ,or orange hills in anaheim way beautiful places and good food for almost same price , food is not worth the price

The food was good, but overpriced and incorrect. I placed an order for the chicken Dijon which was listed as coming with rosemary potatoes. It did not. Staff were not rude, but seemed dismissive and inattentive. We were never asked if we wanted to order anything other than water. Once we received our dinners, we did not see a server until we'd finished and they asked if we wanted dessert. The razor wire around the outside tent highlights the overall cheapness of the outside dining area. It seems slapped together and not well kept. The plants are sick with spider mites and there is art on the floor, making it feel more like a storage area than a nice dining area.

I The flavors are decent, but the tomato in the caprese was very thin. My biggest gripe is that service, like mentioned in other reviews, is very slow. Ambiance is fine. You're in a canopy with heaters. Why not 3 or 4 stars? I think for the price, I've had much better food and service.

We came here for dinner before a play at the Pantages. The restaurant is very quant with with a semi outdoor patio dinning space and plenty of parking in the rear. For $8 you can leave your car and walk to the Pantages which is two blocks away. We started off with drinks, I had a Moscow Mule, my wife had a Chianti, and our friends had Sangria. I wasn't that thrilled with my drink but everybody else seemed to enjoy theirs. We ordered the calamari which was pretty good and garlic bread which was way too garlicky. For our main entrees, I ordered the grilled salmon, which was very good and full of flavors. I really liked the celery sauce it came with and sautéed veggies. My wife ordered the chicken parmigiana and didn't like it, she only took a few bites and left the rest. Our friends shared the avocado salad and meatballs and spaghetti. They really enjoyed both dishes. We ordered the tiramisu and grandmas tart, both very good. The service was good, our lead waiter had a bit of an attitude. But the team overall was very good especially the gentleman that waited to open the gate after we returned from the play.

California offered an immediate rush of light, space, and possibility. My memory is that when I turned my phone back on at LAX, my friend messaged to say he'd gotten us the hookup at Bestia. That dinner belongs to a chapter in which I spent considerable time in California and felt energized by the contrast with New York. My friend is highly discerning, with impeccable taste in food, design, and culture. He notices details most people miss, so when a place impresses him, I pay attention. From the moment I saw his message, I knew the reservation meant something. Even before we entered, Bestia's character was evident. Faded lettering crossed the corrugated metal facade, while brick walls and old loading doors preserved the warehouse's industrial history. Inside, enormous windows and garage doors brought light into a room shaped by glass, exposed ductwork, and warm amber pendants. When I fantasize about living in a loft, many of the attributes I picture are here, especially the incredible windows and connection to the street. Inside the restaurant, the dining room achieved a combination I rarely encounter. It had the table density and collective buzz of a great New York restaurant, but within a large, design-forward space closer in scale to something found in Chicago. New York creates energy through tight rooms, while Chicago excels at ambitious spaces with strong architectural identities. Bestia captured both advantages and made its considerable footprint feel alive and unified. We sat shoulder to shoulder at a pale stone counter facing the open kitchen. Golden era hip hop was playing, and A Tribe Called Quest still rings a very specific bell. I ordered the squid ink pasta, and it was exquisite, with enough depth and precision to command attention amid everything happening around us. We also spotted an unmistakably A-list celebrity, whom I will leave unnamed, making the night feel quintessentially Los Angeles. During that period, I often stayed at the Ace Hotel downtown, and the Arts District felt vibrant, raw, and full of possibility. The proximity to Skid Row could be deeply jarring, with severe hardship existing beside ambitious development and expensive restaurants. That contrast kept the neighborhood from feeling like a neat story of urban renewal, even as Bestia seemed to anchor its evolution. The warehouses and loading docks gave the area a character that no new development could convincingly recreate. Nearby, I also remember the American Apparel complex during its demise and the rise of impossibly cool Los Angeles designer John Elliott. His Escobar sweatpants and Villain hoodie helped define the kit of that moment; loyalists will understand. Los Angeles is a fickle city, drawn toward whatever is new and shiny, which makes Bestia's longevity especially impressive. Scene without substance is plastic, and Bestia earned its electricity through exceptional cooking, assured service, and a remarkable space; if I lived in Los Angeles, this would be one of the places I'd rely on whenever I wanted to impress someone. This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

Even with a 9:30 PM reservation, the restaurant was still absolutely packed. This time we actually had proper seating, which made for a much better experience. We ordered a mix of dishes including the octopus, bone marrow pasta, black ink seafood pasta, pizza, gnocchi, and the Branzino. The octopus, bone marrow pasta, and black ink seafood pasta were all solid as usual. The pizza was decent, but the gnocchi was a disappointment and easily my least favorite dish of the night. The standout was without a doubt the Branzino. It was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy exterior and incredibly flavorful inside. It was one of those dishes where everyone kept reaching for another bite until the plate was completely clean. Service was better than my previous visit, I'd give it a 4/5 this time. Overall, this experience was a noticeable improvement, and while I still think some dishes outshine others, the Branzino alone is worth coming back for.

I feel the seating was a little tight in certain areas put they did make clear walking paths. Traffic to get here was horrible but we got lucky and found a non-metered spot about a block away as soon as we arrived in the area. For apps, we ordered the garlic bread and meatballs. The garlic bread was different. It was a sourdough loaf with oozing garlic butter inside but was only toasted whole so overall ate very soft and I missed the typically toastiness I get with most garlic bread. The flavor was still very good, especially dipping it into the marinera that accompanied the meatballs. For entrees and sides, we ordered the lasagna, the eggplant tortellini, the chicken parmesan and the broccolini. I can only say they really like their parmesan here. I'm not the biggest fan so I brushed a lot of it off. The tortellini was the star of the show for me and I think it was partially because all the other dishes were marinera + parmesan so it gave a nice break in the flavor profile. Something to consider when ordering next time. The chicken parmesan was delicious. I found the lasagna to be okay and would pass on the broccolini next time (to be fair, I got rid of all the cheese so that probably change the flavor profile they were going for).

I would suggest sitting at the bar if you're coming by yourself or if you're a party of 2, it's awesome seeing them at work! We had the radicchio salad and the charred octopus to start with. The salad literally came within 5 minutes of ordering. Nice, refreshing, acidic salad. The octopus dish was of 3 tentacles nicely charred. I suggest ordering 2 if you're in a group of 3 or bigger. As for the pastas, you have to get the spicy pomodoro and the sweet corn agnolotti. I think they're their most popular pasta options. Heads up that the sweet corn agnolotti is actually sweet, so not the typical type of pasta you'd normally get. We also got the squid ink mafaldine. I thought this was great since it added a bit of a kick to the rest of the dishes. Got their duck confit as a large entree which came as 3 duck legs. Thought it was great, but maybe next time I'll try their branzino. For dessert you HAVE to get their banana pudding tiramisu. I usually don't get tiramisus, but this one definitely had more of a banana pudding taste and it was delicious. Highly recommend!
