I saw a post on line & was looking forward to eating here. I ordered the matcha pancakes, which were dry, did not taste like matcha & did not have any matcha sauce like it showed on line. I also ordered the entomatadas it looked like the tortillas were placed in the microwave and they just threw salsa on top of it. Not a very good presentation for both items and their menu did not match what they served or advertised online. Overall, this was a bad experience for myself. Worst experience. It says Farm table, that is a complete lie!! My sandwich was soggy with expired steal bread,soap in my lemonade, and the meats are all processed. It's far from farm to table. This place was recommended to me by staff at the Kia Service Center. It's 2 blocks north and if you blink, you will miss it. The signs are not prominent and luckily, I knew where the restaurant was since I've passed it before. So just keep your eyes out. Came in and I was sat right away at the big community table. I really like the interior design of this place and it was clean. The table is one long wooden top with high chairs that are nicely cushioned. Compared to the metal chairs at the regular tables, I would prefer the high chairs more. After being seated, it took a good 5-10 minutes before anyone came by to take my order. I ordered the steak and eggs, but was not asked how I wanted my steak or eggs done. The server did not speak English very well and I had to repeat things to her. She did come back a few minutes later and asked me how I wanted my eggs done, but did not ask about how I wanted my steak done. It didn't even occur to me to tell her because it's always been asked when ordering steak at other restaurants. I also ordered an iced tea that took 10 minutes before it was brought out. I had to ask for sweetener and she did not understand what I was saying, so I said sugar in Spanish. The food came out and I have to say to charge me $22 for such a small piece of steak, that was a total rip. The steak was cooked well done and rubbery. Probably Choice grade meat. It wasn't very good. The scrambled eggs were just ok. But the house potatoes were actually pretty good. After dropping off the food, she did not come by once to refill my iced tea. I had to flag her down. It's obvious that she is new as a server as you can totally tell. There are metered parking in front, but make sure you read the signs for when you can park there. We've passed by this place for years and finally had the opportunity to try it today. Disappointed is an understatement. We ordered coffee and juice and once they arrived we ordered our food. We ordered: Club Sandwich, French Waffle, & Side of Home Fries. 30 minutes later after everyone around us got food (some who ordered after us) our server looked at our table, her eyes got wide, and she hurried into the kitchen. She came out and said our food would be out in just a minute and said sorry. She came out a few minutes later with the sandwich and fries and the home fries. Then said the waffle would be out in a minute. A few minutes later my husband went to find a manager, as I waited for the waffle (which take on average 5-6 minutes to make) when he came back he said the server told the manager that the kitchen got backed up to which the manager seemed surprised to hear. I was also surprised to hear that since we saw a very constant stream of food coming out of the kitchen. Including the table next to ours of 4 who ordered after us. When the waffle finally came out it was severely undercooked and had the consistency of a thick pancake. The table next to ours also had waffles and you could see the visible difference. They gave us a very small discount on the bill and my husband a second glass of carrot juice. We didn't care about the very small discount. We cared about the wait and the quality of what came out to our table after waiting for as long as we did. Somehow our food was obviously forgotten about and was then rushed and not made properly. And to get a very obvious excuse as opposed to what actually happened was a bummer. We were curious about the place. Curiosity has been met. No need that go back. The coffee was decent. They keep saying curtain items weren't available due to a misprint menu, even though it was on the menu the food had no taste disgusting the waitress kept saying she was new and having to go ask for help, but no one truly came to help her. I have passed the Farm Table about 5 times driving down Van Nuys Blvd. over the weeks. We finally made a point to have breakfast there. It's right across the street from Van Nuys court house. A Really cute place. Everything is nicely appointed. The service is pretty good. The menu has a good selection. I ordered a bacon and cheddar cheese omelette. A ham and cheese omelette was delivered but it was corrected quickly. Food is good. Parking is on the street and in back of the restaurant. I will say that its a bit hard to find but once you do, ordering/eating was very easy and convenient. You order the food at the counter and get a number. I got the chicken sandwich but asked for it to be a wrap. You get a side so I picked the salad, although I secretly wanted fries. I was a bit tired and decided to get an iced latte.
