Great brunch/lunch place in Van Nuys. Met my friend here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There's plenty of metered parking in and around the restaurant. I will say that its a bit hard to find but once you do, ordering/eating was very easy and convenient. You order the food at the counter and get a number. I got the chicken sandwich but asked for it to be a wrap. You get a side so I picked the salad, although I secretly wanted fries. I was a bit tired and decided to get an iced latte. (Was very sad to learn that this place doesn't serve alcohol, as my friend and I wanted some wine!). My friend ordered the Asian chicken salad. We sat inside as there was no outdoor seating, but people were spread out. Her salad came out quick and was huge! My latte came out and my food came out shortly after. Server Jeanette did a great job taking care of me today. This order came in super fast and portion is HUGE. Big enough for 2 to share. For some reasons the waffle is not as sweet or as rich as I was expecting (in a nice way) and the home fries was also surprisingly good. I'm not really sure what the concept is here. Lots of fake plants, super high tables, which are a little bit uncomfortable, but very spacious, servers don't know what exactly is in the food. Got an omelette because she said it was going to be cheddar cheese and it was white American and it was disgusting. They did have an exceptionally delicious enchilada though. It doesn't seem to be on the regular menu, just on the side dishes on the back. Chai latte was delicious. Our server was lovely. The food was just meh. First time trying Farm Table Coffeehouse and food was delicious. The portions are big, enough to fill you up. We went maybe 30 minutes after they opened, the service was fast and our server was constantly checking up on us. The crowd does come after 9:00 am so I would say come earlier to avoid the morning rush. Their fresh orange juice was very good! Not pictured is their iced caramel latte, 10/10 even took one to go. My potatoes were a bit salty but it was not salty to the point where I didn't eat them. My boyfriend did say the pancakes were a bit bland. Something that I was not a bit of a fan of is that they do include tip. I did not see a sign mentioning it prior to being seated or ordering. I'm not sure if it's for all parties. Our party of 4 check had included a gratitude of $20 and although our server was defiantly worth that, it would be nice to have the option to tip what we would like. Very cute, clean and pretty space. It's a calming environment away from the street. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because the burger I had the meat had thicker fat pieces that were more rubbery. Meanwhile the burger didn't have any greens or veggies, so it ended up being like a French inspired cheeseburger; all dairy and meat. The cheese on it was grilled so it was crispy. But some of it was too hard. The green salad was good. The pink drink was fruity and lightly sweet. It was the one that was included with my meal; you serve yourself at the main counter. My soft scrambled eggs were scrambled hard the bacon as you can see was I don't know what burnt and the French toast was so cold that the butter did not melt, and it tasted like it was old and cooked on a grill that had cook some onions because it had this taste of grilled onions on French toast. my poor husband. he almost lost his mind. His easy eggs were over hard and his pancakes were cold. The butter didn't even melt on it and we are just so so disappointed. Not gonna make a fuss not going to yell at the staff. They're working hard but there's only 10 people in this entire little café. I'm confused as why the quality of food is so poor, it is 10 o'clock in the morning they open at eight. Ordered a croissant sandwich and chai latte to go. Latte was great and came out quickly. Had to ask them about the sandwich because I was waiting for so long. Once I got it, I was disappointed that it was missing bacon, when I only asked for no tomato. It's no wonder I don't go back here, this is one of the most inconsistent restaurants and yet another change of ownership clearly shows it. This is what, the fourth time in 2 years? They just need to close up shop and open as a new place I decided to come by for a coffee around noon and the place was pretty slow, a big change from what it once was when it first opened and their would be a flock of people throughout the day from the local courthouse and other businesses. I went ahead and ordered the Honey Lavender Latte, but not until one of the workers realized there was a line of people waiting for 2-3 minutes because none of the workers were up front or checking the front. The latte was not good at all. First it wasn't even hot, it was luke-warm. I expected a decent lavender taste but it just tasted like a cappuccino with way too much honey because the honey was super strong and over powering. It didn't help that they poured so much over the top of the foam. And they have horrible music blasting over everyone's heads like it's a happenin place. No. Please no. We went for a colleagues get together. They ordered jalapeño burgers and French toast plate. I ordered the lox Benedict. They said their food was decent. The burger was given a 4 out of 5 and the French toast a 3.5 out of 5. However, my lox Benedict was not good at all. The salmon was so overpowering it masked the flavor of everything. I'd not order that again. I'd give it a 1 out of 5. I saw their add on Instagram and everything looked good. That's why I chose this place. I clicked on the address on their bio in Instagram and it took me to a different place, about a mile up the road on Van Nuys, and on the other side of the street. Our son lives pretty much within walking distance of this restaurant so when we took him out for lunch this seemed to be an interesting place across from the Van Nuys courthouse. They have nice wooden tables and across from us were about 8 college age men and women with their computers out and doing what appeared to be some kind of creative work. We ordered a burger, turkey sandwich and spinach & berries salad and each of us thought the food was okay, our son liking his burger the best. As we were there at lunchtime, we saw many who were probably lawyers and others who worked across the street coming by for a bite to eat, so we felt it was probably a good place for them to go between various things happening at the courthouse. I was looking for a good breakfast and brunch spot near to where I'd had to leave my car for maintenance, and Farm Table came up with decent reviews. I didn't check out any commentary on the food, just booked it since I was dying of hunger. First of all... the cashier has to double as the barista, which is kind of gross if they've had to handle any cash during their shift. No fault of hers, but we had a long wait between the person in front of us placed their order and we were able to step up. We both got breakfast burritos, which took just over 40 minutes to come out. 40 minutes!!! I'd say my first thought was that they had to bring out everything they'd put away for breakfast, but it's an all-day menu... My metric at the time was asking myself, if someone had hyped up the burritos here as life-changing, would they be worth the cost ($16 per) or wait (40+ minutes), and the answer in both cases was "no". They were fine. Just fine. Not mind-blowingly good but not totally tasteless. The potatoes in it were cooked nicely, but nothing really had a standout flavor. She accidentally charged me for an item when I actually asked how much it was, not that I wanted it. When I told her no thanks, she huffed and had to get a manager to void the transaction.
