I am disappointed with my visit unfortunately. I have been here many times. The kitchen staff didn't have masks fully on or under chin. Salad came in a to go box that was larger than the bag so it didn't sit flat, and slightly open so the salad was falling out into bottom into the bag. Came in for brunch and got the steak and eggs, which was really good. For the side, I got the potatoes and it was very different from what I had at any other place. Parking was very easy for us to find, but no private lot. I would definitely go here again. The chocolate chip cookies are a must try. read more

A GREAT find across from City hall on Van Nuys Blvd! If you've been to Portland Oregon, this restaurant has a bit of a Portland vibe to it. Rustic interior. Menu focuses on farm fresh ingredients. Order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. For lunch we tried the roasted chicken sandwich with spinach, roasted tomatoes and creamy pesto on grilled sourdough (not grilled and greasy, just grilled)! Nice blend of flavors. Really good fries that were well seasoned. Also tried The Coop, which had sliced chicken, avocado mash and roasted garlic aioli on a bun. Another solid choice. Each sandwich was $10.95 including fries and a drink. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. Lots of other interesting options on the menu for next time including burgers and salads. I usually don't write reviews since most yelp reviewed establishments reflect the average stars they are given, but I don't see how this place is close to 5 stars. I called to confirm their food is organic, they said yes. I go and ask again and two people reconfirm EVERYTHING is organic. I ordered the poke bowl and Korean tacos. The bowl comes with cold, refrigerated rice. The meat in the tacos are salty to the point one small piece out of about 3-4 pieces they come with is too much. The smaller things that are no big deal, like no greeting when entering until after about 5 mins, drink orders not arriving until I had to go back to the counter to ask, are just usual of new businesses. I didn't bother with complaining since I needed to catch a movie and time was a factor. But what irked me the most was walking to the bathroom past the pantry full of non organic ingredients, basic stuff like sugar, soy milk, etc... So, food, service, and integrity is lacking. Decor is great though. Sorry, I was hoping this could be another organic option but falls very short. read more

I went here for the first time with a friend last Thursday--great new place in the neighborhood! We were going for a late afternoon coffee so we just had lattes and truffle fries. The decor is lovely and there's plenty of seating. Super clean on the inside and the lady at the counter who helped we was super friendly. The large lattes were a little smaller than we expected and I probably wouldn't order in the future unless they use larger cups or reduce the price, but the quality and taste was great. We'll be back to try more of the food again soon--so nice to see a nice place opening up in Van Nuys!! read more

The decor is cute but the food is extremely bland! I ordered an avocado toast with a side of potatoes and chicken apple sausage. The avocado toast was bland and tasted awful, I could finish it, the potatoes had no salt but they were crispy and i had to return the chicken apple sausage because it was extremely dry and rough- it tasted like they just reheated. Today I was beyond surprised to find this new establishment that is conveniently located on Van Nuys Blvd. The manager Jake I believe his name is, was so kind and handled a minor issue that I had, which was waiting too long for my order. But now knowing they have only been open for a little over a week explains the kinks that happened. And because the food was amazing, it was easy to forgive the minor hiccup of waiting 30ish minutes for my chicken salad sandwich. Everything I saw, being served to my fellow patrons, made me excited to come back and try other dishes. Even if I didn't have an appetite, I would be satisfied to try a latte alongside with a pastry. The service is pretty good, everyone is nice and friendly. Ordered a large Mocha and the Breakfast Plate(?). The mocha was lacking mocha, might as well order a latte. And the meal was a hearty portion but distinctly lacking any sort of flavor and/or seasoning. The bacon, while looking crispy, definitely was on the flabby side and definitely on the chewy side. The potatoes could have been good but seeing as how they are served whole, they lack taste and just get cold. The special jam that they serve has no taste. And to cap it all off, there was a distinct lack of clientele, I'm getting a feeling that I'm not the only one who feels this place is pretty Blah.. read more

It is sad to say, but Farm Table has deteriorated dramatically. Just had lunch and ordered the bleu burger which I had in the past and was incredibly delicious. Today, it was cold,even though it took almost 20 minutes for it to be served, was supposed to be cooked medium well and was raw inside. The french fries were petrified and hard, ice cold. Did not bother to ask for a replacement as I did not want it. Luckily, someone in my party likes their burger underdone and ate a portion of it. Such a nice addition to Van Nuys Blvd. The facility was newly renovated and super clean. The seating was plentiful and easy on the eyes. The food was really good and the staff was friendly as well. I was debating if I should leave a review but decided it's best if I do. I went to Farm Table yesterday with my partner for the first time around brunch. And decided to get the scrambled eggs with potatoes and asked if I could replace the bacon with another side. They said no I couldn't do that which was fine. But then I realized they had charged me full price which was 11.94 normally at other places they let you remove stuff and lower the price or switch a side for another food side item. Once I got my food I saw it was eggs and like 4 tiny bland baked potatoes. This got me super moody knowing I paid basically $12 for that!!? I had ordered food and a orange juice for my partner as well and I was very frustrated to see that the orange juice wasn't even full!!? And paying basically $5 for that ? What a waste. This place was very beautiful when you go in but the employees there have terrible customer service skills. The whole time I was there the employee checking in on customers around us NEVER checked up on us not even once. The vibe here is terrible especially if you are poc or a minority. The owner had brought our food to us and he seemed very polite. Didn't really talk much. Over all I will not be back. read more

This restaurant is so out of place! That being said, I actually really enjoyed it. I just wish that they were a little bit more knowledgable about their gluten-free offerings. I found the restaurant because it mentioned that it was gluten-free friendly, but when I asked the staff questions they didn't know the answer and didn't make an effort to find out until I asked them to, which was weird. I was here this morning while getting my car repaired. It was staffed by friendly people. I was the only person there that wasn't an employee eating at a table. Meaning it was fairly dead when I was there. I had the steak and eggs which were beautifully presented. The thing that docked it down was the steak. I ordered it well done and it was still pink in the middle. Plus I have a general rule where if I can't cut it with a knife, I can't cut it with my teeth. The majority of the steak had gristle or something in it that was preventing me from cutting all the way through. So I had to leave a good majority of that on the plate. Sorry.
