Came here on a Saturday afternoon and sat up on the roof top. Vibes were great, views were nice and the service and food was impeccable!! My friend and I got 2 different burgers and shared each other's half. My A5 burger was so tasty as well as her bison burger. Flavors on point. Definitely will be back to try some other options on the menu, they have plenty of to choose from.

Tried the mahi mahi crispy tacos and the tots, my husband got the chicken club, and we also tried the Bavarian pretzel with dips. Tacos were good, nothing special, they needed just a little more seasoning but the chipotle crema on them was delicious. My husband liked his sandwich. The tots were good. The pretzel was delicious! Soft and pillowy, but the dips oh yesssss. Dijon mustard, beer cheese and caramel. Omg the caramel dip was the best! We came here on a whim on the way home to LA, and we will be back again. :)

The vibes were cool. Staff was attentive and sweet. And honestly great bar food. We just got apps the chicken and waffles so freaking good hot chicken sandwich was really good there. Onion rings are good. They have good ranch. Cheesesteak egg rolls tasted homemade they were good! They have homemade ketchup. It's a little bit spicy and kind of taste like a bloody Mary and it's delicious. Lol as for the cocktails, not really my favorite lower quality ingredients better to stick with the basics unless you like fairly sweet flavoring. Then it might be your favorite go to.

Great spot for Happy Hour. A beer and a burger for $16. Can't beat that. Good rooftop bar and food is great for the price point. Bartenders are friendly and attentive. Cool vibe at the restaurant, would come back and enjoy the drinks and atmosphere. Enjoy!!!

Finneys happy hour is the best! $6 IPA's $6-$7-$8-$9 appetizers that are regular size! The food is delicious! The staff is super fun and engaging! I had a really great time and will definitely be back! Check them out from 3pm-5pm to get the best deal La during happy hour!

    Barbecue chicken pizza!

I was on vacation with my family in Oceanside today and went to Finney's for lunch. I ordered two different dishes, but they told me they were out of chicken for those specific items. I was completely understanding and chose something else. I ordered the barbecue chicken pizza, and when it arrived, I immediately knew something wasn't right. There was no barbecue sauce on it--just a light red sauce--but I still gave it a try, thinking maybe it was just a different style. It was extremely spicy and tasted nothing like a barbecue chicken pizza. It was by far the worst one I've ever had; it tasted more like a chopped hot-wing pizza. I ate a couple of small slices to give it a fair chance, and I was also very hungry. When the server came by and asked how everything was, I explained my concerns and why I hadn't eaten much of it. She said, "Oh, the spiciness might be from the chili," and then asked if I wanted a to-go box. I didn't want to be rude, but my thought was: if it were good enough to take home, I would have eaten it. She didn't even acknowledge my concern, offer any type of credit, or suggest speaking with a manager. In the end, I took the pizza because nothing was done to address the issue, and I threw it away in the trash can right outside the restaurant. It wasn't just the food that disappointed me--it was the poor, careless customer service as well.

This Finney's is not quite up to snuff compared to the Finney's in Orange. Triple Smash Burger had good flavor. Fried pickles were lacking in flavor. Others in our party said the tater tots and the Finney burger had a weird taste to it (and they frequent the one by Chapman College). Service was somehow fairly fast but unattentive. I wouldn't come back to this location when eating in Oceanside. Other better restaurants here.

While on vacation in Oceanside with our kids and another family, we stopped into Finney's Crafthouse for lunch since it's just a short walk from the pier. It turned out to be a great choice for a casual, family-friendly meal. We started with the coconut shrimp and the buffalo cauliflower, both were good. I went with the mahi tacos for lunch which were great. The kids all ordered cheeseburgers off the kids' menu and were totally happy with their meals. The adults sampled a few different beers, and with such a large beer menu, there was plenty to try. Since it had started to rain, we grabbed a table inside, but they also have a large outdoor patio that would be perfect on a nicer day. Finney's had good food and lots of choices, something for everyone.

Ill always remember that burger being bomb. Trued those new steak fajitas and wasnt the biggest fan. Steak was overcooked , asked for medium. Alot of fatty pieces. Got more than well done. Had to try out the new item tho. Chicken and waffles were pretty tasty, sold as appetizer, mot too bad. Got the pepperoni pizza, crust was pretty rock hard, I understand its a flatbread but the pepperonis were basically burnt and the crust was like a cracker. A bit disappointed in this visit VS my first one, but i still have hope in the rest of the menu items

Food was okay enough. My friends and I felt the burgers lacked flavor (wagyu and jalepeno burgers). The wings and poki nachos were also just okay. The best thing was the onion rings. Food came out quick The beers were really good. And the service was excellent. Our server was so sweet and patient. We (6 adults, 3 kids)arrived on a Saturday around 5:30 and was sat right away upstairs. It was way too loud upstairs. Like where you're shouting to talk. Def good bar vibes upstairs. To just grab a drink and appetizer.

We came here after watching a movie and were excited they had happy hour. No one was at the host stand so we wondered to the bar. We found 2 spots at the end, and hoped we could move to the table top behind.... The bartender said we'd have to ask the host. Once again after glancing by the entrance there wasn't anyone there.. so we opted to stay at the bar. I had the guava margarita which had no guava taste whatsoever and was extremely disappointed. My friend really liked her drink though. It was rather annoying as one bartender kept splashing us as she made drinks, and at one point it was so bad that we both let out an " ohh my" while she just looked at us. No apology, as our faces were dripping with liquid. I have sat it front of many bartenders in my life and I have NEVER had any of them be so careless. Overall, I probably won't be back as my experience wasn't very good.

Friday night happy hour, Finneys had a good crowd going upstairs and down, but we were seated on the rooftop patio right away. I love the vibe upstairs, even without a true ocean view because of the surrounding hotels. The spunky server in the black converse was so cheerful and we got great service. Started with a Raspberry Smash, a delicious muddled vodka and prosecco drink. A nice smear of sugar on the rim and side, it was tasty sweet and refreshing. I only had one, but I would have enjoyed more. Husband had a beer which was part of his dinner combo order. Our happy hour dinner included the bacon deviled eggs, yummy and easy to pick off the candied bacon and move it to his egg. They were a standard deviled egg with a smear of creamy yolk underneath to keep them on the plate. A drizzle of sriracha garnished the plate. I ate it all, pushing the eggs around to wipe up the yolk and sriracha. Smile. Moving on, Husband ordered the Finney's Burger and fries for his entree. This is a $16 value option with an included beer or soda. This was a nice thick burger, cooked exactly to medium rare. Husband had to compliment the chef when the manager stopped by to check in with us, because it is DIFFICULT to get a medium rare burger right and this one was PERFECT. Topped with cheese, pickled onions, lettuce and tomato it was a good value and good quality. Big fluffy brioche bun was appreciated to soak up all those rare meat juices. My meal was the steak taquitos, a delicious pile of pico on top of four large rolled corn tortillas filled with a bit of beef. Some tri tip beef according to the menu. Not a lot of filling, mostly corn tortilla, but still tasty and filling. Chipotle aoli on the side tasted sharp, and was traded to husband for his sweeter chipotle catsup which I preferred. But the roasty salsa that accompanies this dish is AWESOME and I asked for more. The manager himself brought it over. Although I would have loved another Raspberry Smash, we kept our dinner bill to $40 by not ordering another round. So dining economically can be done in Oceanside, if you get there before 5pm for happy hour!!

    The disappointing deviled eggs.
    Sam P.

Been here a few times, the first time we got the tacos with their house made tortillas that I believe was a blend of corn and flour but we're not highly recommended by our server. We asked for them to be substituted for flour. They were not. The server noticed the mistake right away and was super sweet and sent us out new tacos which we totally did not need but very much appreciated! This last time we went we were more disappointed. I was with my niece and her boyfriend. She got the deviled eggs and he got the Mediterranean bowl with chicken. He liked his and ate the whole thing. The deviled eggs were not good at all however. Very little egg filling and the filling was almost not edible. It tasted like straight mayo and mustard with a tiny bit of egg mixed in and also somehow bitter tasting?? The server didn't notice that my niece only ate one piece of the 5 that it came with. But she was super friendly and otherwise attentive. We'll probably be back because the atmosphere is nice and we support local but we will never get the eggs again.

I recall it being a delicious and a wonderful dining experience. I have been looking forward to bringing my family and friends here all week. I am giving this restaurant 3 stars, because their food is still AMAZING and their staff is super nice and I believe deep down inside that they just had a REALLY OFF night. We had reservations for a party of 9 last night. The table was set up nicely and accommodated a few extra if needed, which I thought was cool. We started with some adult beverages: an Old Fashion, some Hotel Nacionals, a Fashionably Late, and a couple of beers. Everything started great. Dennis, our server was very cool and friendly and gave great suggestions. We ordered the mac and cheese sides and they were delicious with huge pieces of savory bacon in them. We also ordered the brussel sprouts which we never received and didn't even realize it until the very end when we received the bill because of all the other issues we had... but we'll get to that in a moment. But let's talk about what did go well... the delicious food we did get. We ordered the Pig burger which was sooo good and came with crispy fries. The fish for the fish and chips were 2 huge pieces and were delicious, came with yummy seasoned waffle fries and the tiniest tartar sauce and malt vinegar. I had to request 4 more for that amount of fish, but no big deal. Dennis brought out as much as we needed. Their ranch sauce is really good too. Don't judge just because it's a little peachy'ish and looks thousand island'ish. lt's still some very good ranch. My son said he really tasted the bitterness of beer in the fish batter but maybe it was just in that piece he had; I could not taste it in the piece of fish I ate. The short rib was really tender and delicious... the sauce was just a tad salty for my taste, but the mashed potatoes it sat on sort of balanced it out a little. The fried chicken thighs were really cooked well, juicy, crispy and seasoned perfectly. We ordered two Teres Major steaks. One rare with mashed potaoes, one medium rare with grits. The rare one came out medium and without any mushrooms, took FOREVEEERR to remake (the rest of the table was almost done with our meals...& not sure why it took so long since the restaurant wasn't that busy and it's a RARE steak). The one with grits came with mashed potatoes instead of grits. Dennis was super nice and apologetic and corrected both mistakes when we let him know. He then brought us a big bowl of grits. The manager (blonde gal) came over and apologized for the mistakes tonight, letting us know that usually does not happen, and let us know she'd be comping one of our steaks and would be bringing a dessert on them. We thought that was very nice of them. However, as nice a gesture. we never did receive that dessert. My husband handed Dennis his credit card before the bill arrived (before our friends could try to pay the bill) and not sure why but our bill never came, and we never saw Dennis again either after he boxed up our leftovers and took the card. We had to ask another server for our bill because we had been waiting for quite a while... and needed to head out as we were already late to meet friends at a lounge. The other server came back with my husband's credit card, the bill (that's when I finally noticed the brussel sprouts sides we never got but were charged), and let the server know. He immediately apologized and took it off the bill. So I'm not sure what happened last night at Flying Pig...missing and charged brussel sprouts, steak overcooked, missing mushrooms, mashed potatoes instead of grits, then a comped dessert promised but never delivered. WOW. I had to apologize to my friends. I was totally hyping up this place and it underdelivered. They automatically got their 20% gratuity for our party of 9 but anyone that knows me knows how much I absolutely love great service combined with exceptional food and that could have easily been a 30-35% tip had they been on their A game! We only come to Oceanside once a year. Maybe we will try again next year. Maybe not. This trip was about trying out a bunch of different restaurants and giving honest reviews on dishes/businesses we haven't tried before, or in a long time. Do better guys.

I instantly set a reservation (didn't really need it) and we arrived around 4pm on a Tuesday and sat on the patio. Happy hour is daily from 4-6pm and if you sit on the recently renovated patio, drinks are 50% off. I ordered the Ribeye as my birthday entree and we also ordered the Fried Zucchini ($7), Popcorn Chicken ($9), Guajillo Braised Pork Shoulder ($21) and several cocktails ($7 each during HH). Everything was great honestly. No complaints. My wife REALLY loved the braised pork shoulder. My steak was excellent and even though it was free, $32 for a ribeye is the lowest you'll find anywhere. It was nice having not having to fight for a seat. Enjoying a cocktail on the patio in perfect weather is something everyone should try. Highly recommend coming to Mission Ave Bar & Grill for happy hour and to check out the new patio. Make sure to register for their mailing list to get birthday offers too!

From the juicy breakfast Burger to the dangerously good country benefit and spicy blood orange, everything feels a little too easy to fall in love with.
