My friend and I had a shared birthday dinner here back in September. Even though we came with a reservation, we still waited about an hour to be seated in a very packed bar area. HOWEVER, the food and service made up for all of this. Everything was so flavorful and fresh, it was definitely one of the best meals I've ever had. Although a bit pricey, you are definitely paying for amazing quality and great portions! I would've really liked to have been seated in the main dining area but there was live jazz music playing by the bar and it brought an amazing ambiance to the place. At the end, we were so full from an amazing spread we decided we couldn't do dessert, but our server packed us up a very generous serving of their house tiramisu to go as an apology for the wait. Originally our reservation was set for 10:45pm but was asked if we were willing to change it to 10pm with a free appetizer and dessert which we agreed to. As soon as we got there it was very busy and loud and several others around us had reservations before us but were still waiting to be seated. When I checked in and mentioned that they had asked us to come earlier, we were seated right away. Our server was very nice and took great care of us the entire night. We ordered drinks and caesar salads right away. The Caesar salad was made tableside and tasted phenomenal. It was so creamy and lemony and the croutons weren't too hard or soft to bite into. Complementary bread with a saucer of oil mixed with parmesan and a saucer of olives were brought to the table as well. We ordered the 7oz filet mignon and the macaroni alla vodka to share between two of us and it was the perfect amount. The steak was juicy and came with roasted garlic. The macaroni alla vodka was so flavorful. We loved both dishes. Even though we were stuffed we still wanted to try dessert and ordered the olive oil cake with gelato and it was mouth watering. The cake was not too try and paired well with the gelato and citrus salad it came with. A beautiful dish. Between each course a waiter came by to pick up our empty dishes and clean the table and out waters were topped off constantly which was really nice. The only negative things I have to say about the place are that the restroom was very dirty with toilet paper all over the floor and not well kept and that the music was so loud we could barely hear anything our server was saying to us and had to ask to repeat themselves a few times to understand. On the other hand the hallway leading to the restrooms had a beautiful hallway with amazing lighting and large mirrors for pictures that we took advantage of. Overall the experience was wonderful and we enjoyed our meal greatly. They really took care of us despite the inconvenience of moving our reservation to an earlier time. We (2) arrived 5 mins before our reservation, the lobby area near the door was jam packed as a few larger parties were coming/going. After navigating crowd, I check in with the hostess in the black shirt and she was very dry and seemed almost irritated. I assumed it was the big crowd and busy dinner time. She escorts us to our table and I ask if we can wait for a different table because the one she took us to was in the middle of the floor, right in front of the kitchen, where there was a lot of traffic and management/server were lingering overhead. There were two booths right in front of this table and one was empty so I ask if we can go there and she says no because that specific table is reserved for a different party. No problem, I tell her we'll wait for another table. We walk back to the front and wait, never seeing that hostess again. Then another woman (I assume a manager) asks if we've been helped and we explain that we have and our waiting for a booth away from the kitchen/staff hangout. The manager calls another hostess (red shirt) and she gets the menu and takes us to the booth black shirt told us we couldn't have. We get seated. Our server comes and is amazing but then black shirt COMES BACK to the dining area to tell red shirt not to sit us there (we're already seated with water and have ordered cocktails). They stand in front of our table discussing this for a few then walk away. It was all very awkward. We came for restaurant week and while our visit had a rough start, our phenomenal server and the food itself really redeemed the visit for us. The octopus carpaccio was spectacular. I've never had anything like it but the flavor, presentation and texture really made for a beautifully tasty dish. The meatballs were good, but the baked clams really stole all of the attention and left us wanting more! The 7oz filet was cooked exactly as ordered, had a nice sear on the outside and a warm red center and was tender and juicy. The chicken parm was also really well prepared and flavorful. The chicken cutlets were fried to perfection and the marinara on top was perfectly balanced in terms of taste and texture. We ordered the broccoli but ended up with the brussel sprouts (shout out to our server) and they were delicious. Could have been shaved a little thinner but I', really nit picking on that because they were really good. We couldn't decide between the parmesan truffle fries and the mascarpone mashed so we got both and honestly, no regrets! Both were delicious! Ambience was intimate but also good for groups. Our server was Marissa S. Definitely the best waitress since she will go above and beyond for you. We were a group of 6 and we did family style with all of the dishes. She divided the food and made sure they were all equal portions. Definitely worth tipping her at least 20%. The food was all delicious and well cooked. We ordered meatballs, lobster diavolo, truffle mushroom lasagna, king crab linguine, slow roasted pork shank, monkfish piccata, bistecca alla florentine, brussel sprouts, and garlic mascarpone whipped potatoes. Italian steakhouses are plentiful and this spot stays true yet builds its own flair with the velvet decor and the lounge vibes. We sat in the bar area which is loud and boisterous with live music. Although not too bad if you are expecting it. The place is huge so a lot of different rooms, quieter ones. They really focus on steak with the menu but plenty of options for everyone, we got - - a proper bite of beignet - cacio pepe - Kansas City strip - truffle Parmesan fries -olive cake for dessert Honestly, everything was well done and delicious. They also had a camapania spritz that was a great drink. We opted to pair a steak with pasta and share. The service was friendly and informative without over doing it. Would have been a five star although the price point of the proper bite - 1 bite for $14. Also the steaks were all large portions. 24 oz ribeye being the only choice. Note: the chicken Parmesan is delicious and could easily feed 2 people, or one hungry man, lol! Went here for a special occasion with my best friend and we had a lovely time! We sat in the bar area and had drinks, shared a steak, and several apps and sides. The service was attentive and friendly but a bit disjointed and odd. Like we had to remind people several times of allergies, for example. It didn't seem like they were communicating well across our ticket. The food was overall very good. We really enjoyed the sides (mushrooms and mashed potatoes in particular). The shrimp was, I thought, overcooked but tasty. The steak was not sliced which is kind of unusual when you know it's being shared but it was very good. The cocktails we had were excellent and the wine selection was very nice. Ambience is pretty nice, it's a cute space. I think that just based on the restaurants own messaging I expected a more creative concept as a variation on the typical steakhouse, but to me this was very typical steakhouse vibes and especially the menu. That's not bad! It was delicious. A little different than what I expected and I think there's space to be a bit more creative with the menu in particular. I want to preface this by saying that we tried Fioretta's for the first time during their Christmas Eve dinner. Because it was Christmas Eve, they were pretty busy which may be why we felt the tables in our room to be too close together and the service slightly rushed. We each were able to try four courses. I personally take my caesar salads very seriously (jeje) and while straightforward, the amount of dressing was generous and the croutons were deliciously garlic-y. The cook on the 7oz filet was great and it came with extra seasoning that added another layer of taste to the meat. As a side, the whipped potatoes with garlic breadcrumbs were soft and had great flavor. The meatballs and desserts (tiramisu and lemon merengue pie) were good, but average. The seafood options were inconsistent. The shrimp scampi was overcooked and the scalloped risotto, although the scallops were cooked perfectly, the risotto was runny. As for the drinks, I loved the Nice N' Easy, but their cosmo was pretty lime forward. I personally would give it another shot, but would be more cautious due to their prices. read more

Came here for a girls night on a Friday night. I got their first so I went to the bar. Bartender was great! When all the girls arrived we were seated. For a group of 5 the booth was beyond crammed. Our server was nice but seemed a bit chaotic not sure if he was given too many tables but he seemed to be running around frantically for most of our meal. He went over the menu and left us to make decisions. We ordered apps - 2 Caesar salads and tuna tartar Table side Caesar salad was delicious!!! That was the highlight of the dinner. We wanted to enjoy the apps and have everything coursed out but we felt rushed to order everything and of course everything came out at once and we ran out of space really quick and our dinner felt like a buffet. We ordered: Branzino- had a weird taste none of us ate it Bone in rib eye- nothing special for a restaurant that is considered a steak house Macaroni Alla vodka- also bland, and half of my macaroni weren't even cooked. The art deco vibe is cool. This is a swanky see and be seen place, with lots of deals going on on a Saturday night, which was fun to watch. They ask that you wear your fancy cocktail attire, and we obliged, but it is more of a guideline than a rule - bros in jeans and T-s emerged throughout the evening, to my chagrin. But better to be over dressed than under. My noble bourbon boozers will be quite pleased here, as the cocktails are top notch. I had a Dark Manhattan (with Montenegro amaro) and an Old Fashioned (with fig liqueur and amaro) and were both outstanding. The wine list is also very interesting, heavy on the Italian with several choices off the beaten path. The Aglianico is a southern Italian beauty you might overlook, but don't. Chewy and earthy, it more than stands up to a steak. Overall the food was very good. The star of the show was the octopus carpaccio - astoundingly tender and flavorful, cut razor thin. I inhaled the plate. We started with the waygu cannoli and a special crudo bite, both of which were excellent. For our main we split the NY Strip, a lobster tail, and the butternut squash ravioli. The ravioli had a delicious earthy flavor and a nice crisp accent from the candied pecans. The steak had excellent flavor, but the outsides were crusty because of the wood grilling approach, which we do not care for, so we had to scrape that off. Buyer beware! Lobster tail was tender and everything you'd expect. For dessert we tried the coconut cream pie which was light, airy and fluffy. Overall a fun experience. Not my favorite steakhouse in Chicago, but the appetizers and pasta make it worth a second visit. read more

I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday as we are always looking to try new and different restaurants here in Chicago. This place caught my attention due to the ambiance and menu. Overall my experience here was mixed. I booked a reservation here, and we arrived early. Hostess said that we did have to wait until our reservation time. Absolutely no problem with us. We arrived when they had a live performer on their side stage by the bar, so that was good to watch. However, once it came time for our reservation, it took almost 40 minutes to seat us! We were waiting for so long to be seated that we were wondering if it was even worth waiting and debating on leaving. They did offer us a hightop table by the bar, but by then we had already waited for over 20 minutes, and wanted a good seat in the restaurant. We ultimately did get seated in a nice large booth, and they offered to comp some of our bill due to the wait. While we did not enjoy waiting that long after our reserved time to be seated, we were appreciative that they did offer some compensation. Our server, who name I unfortunately forgot, was wonder! Attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Best part of the night! For the food, it was OK. We did the tableside caesar salad. Skip it. They just mix the salad in front of you. I was hoping at least they make the dressing at tableside, but all they do it just prepare it. It's not worth it in my opinion. Just get it straight from the kitchen. It was good, I will say. Very lemony which I like. I got one of the special pastas and my husband a steak with crispy Brussel spouts. His steak was cook perfectly, but we definitely have had better quality steaks from other restaurants. My pasta, while I loved the sauce, tasted like it was undercooked. I ended up giving my husband the pasta and he gave me the rest of his steak. He did say the Brussel sprouts were delicious. We then did a dessert to celebrate his birthday, and it can with a sparkler and the server toasted the meringue on top. It was delicious! Overall, I don't know if I would be back here. Fioretta is so so good!! First off, our server was so good. We received complimentary champagne for my boyfriend and I's anniversary, and the waiter was so attentive. All the food was so so delicious as well and definitely worth the price. The steak was so tender and had a lot of flavor. It had lots of roasted garlic and salt and seasoning. The goat cheese ravioli was okay, the flavors weren't my exact preference. But my favorite was definitely the truffle lasagna. It was so crispy on the outside but the inside was so tender. The flavors were so rich and the mushrooms they used were really really tender. The Caesar salad was really good as well and they delivered bread individually on request. When you bring a steak knife out in a grand wooden box, It best slice through the steak like butter. It didn't, and unfortunately it had to do more with the NY Strip than the knife. When we first arrived we decided to take pictures as there was no one else waiting and we had been waiting for our table for 15 minutes already (Reservations were at 9:45pm, it was 10:00pm by then). One of the pictures was taken with flash as the place was dim. The bald African American gentleman up front wearing a suit on 11/09/24, as he referred the to himself as a "grown as man", proceeded to yell at us to not use flash. We completely understand but no where on the website does it state this is not allowed. Although we complied by his 'rule', it would have been appreciated if he would have addressed this in a nicer manner. On the way out, the same gentleman was yelling at an older couple being very rude. This is not a great appearance for the restaurant as he was even swearing at them. Word for word told them "I don't have to do Sh**" as the lady had asked him to speak nicely to her. Spent over $1,000 here and this is how they treat their customers? Definitely do not recommend to come here, at least not until they get rid of that man. Unfortunately, was unable to get his name and was definitely afraid to even ask for it. Other than that, our waiter Rob was GREAT! Wish all employees there worked like that. Our waitress was very friendly and the customer service from everyone was outstanding. This was our first time here so when I asked an employee where the restroom was, he walked me there. Super nice gesture. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and it helped that she actually tried everything on the menu. This allowed us to gain a better sense of the food and helped us with our orders. I ordered the old fashioned and it was great. Usually old fashioned are more on the bitter side, but Fioretta added a touch of sweetness which elevated the classic drink. For dinner, I ordered the truffle mushroom lasagna with a side of Brussels sprouts. I was a bit disappointed that the mushrooms were on the side of the lasagna and not baked into the dish. It's not your typical lasagna, but I also didn't think it would be so different from the traditional lasagna. Overall, it was okay. The Brussels sprouts were good and very tender. I have no clue how they managed to reduce the crunchiness of the Brussels sprouts, but I enjoyed it. I tasted a family member's king crab linguine and that was my favorite dish! When I come back, I'm definitely ordering that. Another family member ordered the macaroni allá vodka and she loved it! We also ordered the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious! I came here for my birthday dinner, just me and my mom, purely for the recommendation of tableside caesar salad. And wow, it did not disappoint. The salad was fresh, delicious, and customizable (fresh cracked pepper? less lemon? more cheese? no problem). Beyond that, we opted for pasta. Our server recommended pasta as a "side" to accompany a larger entree. Turns out, the pasta portions were just enough, though they did ere on the smaller side. I saw some of the other entrees coming out and they were impressive (table-side roast being infused with herbs and aromatics while being set on fire? funzies!). The ambiance was dark wood, sleek, and luxurious. Definitely a departure from all of the contemporary modern brass and marble of most of the West Loop.
