First off a big shout out to our server Amy. Her service was top notch. We have been here a few times the first time was a little rocky but every other time since then it gets better each time. This place is always solid for the bbq burger & kids meals while they are a little pricer than other places the portions are better so it makes it a bit better. Went back for happy hour - note that it is only at the bar or high tops (not the entire restaurant). I love their dirty martini! I recommend it to everyone. We tried quite a few appetizers - crispy brussels sprouts, fries (always a winner, I love their dips!!), and French onion dip (super strange). It's fun to try things on the menu. We are at Fire at Will for the first time last night. The atmosphere is lovely--dark but not so dark you can't see the menu. There is exposed brick and plants hanging from the ceiling. We ordered the Iberico Ham Croquettes with manchego cheese, the pan roasted chicken with cheddar grits and charred broccolini, and the stacked enchilada with fried egg. My chicken was good, but hubby's enchilada was fantastic! The cocktails were also really good. The bread is extra crispy and addictive and holds up to the contents without adding unnecessary volume. & the Italian Chopped salad is so fresh and includes so many layers of texture and flavor. I live around the corner so decided to finally stop in to Fire At Will. The outside is fairly nondescript but when you enter it's a nice dark wood tone upscale vibe. Tables are candle lit and have seating arrangements for group pairing as well as couples. If dining alone you can eat at the bar and enjoy wine and other spirits while watching sport on the two adjacent TV's at both ends of the bar. The hostess was attentive and accommodating. She prepped an open table pretty quickly with a small glass vase of water. I thought it was a nice touch. Saves having to wait for a refill and it looks nice on the table. Placed an order for the Hush Burger - no cheese for me. It comes with a side of fries and it's probably the quickest I've ever received a meal before. I was amazed to be honest. Never received an order that quick BUT it was good. The Hush burger was juicy and had great flavor. It literally dripped as I ate it. The flavor was nice and meaty and the soft bun held all the pieces together nicely. It was really enjoyable to eat. The side of fries were golden and crispy. Great proportional size for the price. The front portion of the establishment is glass and has tinting which keeps the interior space dark while reflecting the intense sun during daylight hours to keep the interior cool. It was evening and temperatures were pretty stable but I would imagine that helps if dinning during the day and you find yourself in the south portion ( the front) and want to stay comfortable during the day. Didn't stay long but staff was quick, efficient- while the cooking staff executed the meal and plating very well. Great job. read more

Fire At Will is a surprisingly great restaurant that you wouldn't expect. The restaurant is in a generic strip mall next to a Cheeba Hut but has an upscale dining setting. The space is great with a dark tone and beautiful decor. The bar is well stocked and pretty to look at. We loved everything that we ate and drank. The cocktails came out very fast and the bartender did a great job working with off menu recipes. We had the ceviche to start and I couldn't recommend it more! The fish was very fresh and the sauce at the bottom of the dish packed a punch with a little kick. I'd recommend the enchiladas for your main because it comes with an egg on top! I haven't seen that before at a restaurant and it was fantastic. Portions aren't the largest but the quality and flavor is top notch. Parking here is very easy with tons of spaces nearby. I'd come here if you want a fancy meal near Roosevelt Row but don't want to drive all the way. Check it out! read more

Wow this place was so unexpected and amazing at the same time! From the food to the vibe, everything was spot on! Ambiance is very sexy cool with floral and dim lighting. The decor is very unique and fun. This would be a great date night spot Service was SPECTACULAR, thank you Jordan! From splitting our bill (and appetizer or bottles) by however many party people, and for checking on us often and just making the whole dinner a great experience. Food was INCREDIBLE. I left it to yelp to find this one. We showed up around the lunch hour and surprised it wasn't busy. A few patrons besides us so we were seated immediately. Nice atmosphere, clean upbeat restaurant with friendly staff. Not a large selection in the menu so we settled on the burger and salad. Both came out in good time, fresh and hot. If you're looking for a dinner spot to have a girls night I 10/10 recommend this place. It's small. The of the place is nice because you don't have people walking and talking all around you making it quite intimate. Be sure to have a reservation if you go due to the limit amount of space. The food was nothing but amazing. It is a bit pricey and some plates are small in portion, but my taste buds were happy to that's all that matters. If you're struggling on what to get for an app to share, get the dates. We also split the mussels as an app and OMG if you like white wine mussels get it here. We had to get extra bread because the sauce was delicious. Oh they do charge for extra bread... As for entrees, I had the stack enchiladas. The meat is cooked twice and is super tender. Other two friends had the salmon and Cajun pasta. They ate everything by off their plate so it must've been good! Anywho check out this place. They do have a rotating menu so my review may age. Walked in on a Monday night to a mostly empty restaurant. Seated and served quickly. Lots of good things on the menu, but I went with the Hush burger, frites street fries and a hefe weizen. Let's get it out of the way. That enormous burger may be the best burger I ever had. It's got what looked like two patties and two slices of cheese with caramelized onions, and pickles all on a brioche bun. There's some sort of fancy sauce. Between the sauce and the onions there's an odd sweetness, but I liked it. The fries came with homemade ranch, ketchup and aioli. I wished the fries were just a little hotter, but damn they were good too. The hefe weizen was quite good too. For a local-made beer it was super. I would have split the meal and saved some for tomorrow. Instead, I wolfed it down. The table of four next to me all ordered burgers too. That's an endorsement. It was pretty busy when I went, but there's plenty of space at the bar. The service was great. The staff was friendly. They answered questions I had and also gave recommendations about the menu. I ordered the onion dip with chips and the hush burger. The onion dip was fantastic. I can eat that all day. It was decadent and creamy. you'll get roasted onion flavor and every bite. Highly recommend. The hush burger was okay. It really tasted like an elevated In-N-Out Burger. It tasted great, but for the price point? I don't know if I would order it again. First time to Fire At Will. Got there at 4:30pm on a Friday. Asked for a table for three. Restaurant was empty with the exception of one table. Hostess stated we could only have the table until 630. I was meeting two friends from out of town, that I had not seen in a while so being told we had a time limit on our table was a little offputting. They were nice about it though. Ambience is cute. Service was very good. Server was very attentive throughout the whole dinner. We ordered an appetizer of onion dip and chips. That was very good. The onion dip was a little sweet tasting, but we certainly ate all of it!! Food presentation was very simple. One person ordered salmon and grits, and it was literally that on the plate some grits with salmon on top. Another friend ordered steak and baked potato and again just a steak and a baked potato somewhat like you could have at my house!! I think sometimes you can make a plate look nice without a lot of food on it, but none of these extra touches were on any of the plates. I ordered the hutch burger that seemed to be one of their signature dishes. There are a lot of places in town that serve some pretty amazing burgers, but unfortunately, this is not one of them. The bun was dry, the meat was not flavorful and was very dry. There wasn't a lot of flavor in this secret sauce and there were very few onions and pickles on the burger. The fries were just room temperature and were just average at best. Truthfully, I feel like I could have had better fries and a burger at Culver's. I guess for the price of food and a restaurant these days I just felt it fell short. read more

Had a first-time visit here recently for a birthday/holiday dinner with a group of friends. The food was excellent. Some of my friends enjoyed the Cubano sandwich and the Hush Burger, and I ordered the stacked enchiladas, which came with a fried egg on top. I asked if they would cook the egg over hard instead of over easy due to a health concern. The kitchen accommodated that request, no problem. Our server, Amy, suggested a mocktail for me, the World Traveler, and it was very good. She expertly handled our table of 9 with separate checks and provided just the right level of pleasant service. They even brought out three desserts for us to share because we had three December birthdays in the group. The only negative is that the noise level was a bit high at times. I met some friends here the other day. I was told by the people I was with that they had the best hamburger so I had to try it. It was a simple burger but it was well seasoned and a good portion. It only had a few ingredients but the quality of the burger was really good. The burger was $18 and did not come with a side, but you get what you pay for and it was worth the $18. Quick thoughts: Food - Service - Ambiance - The Ambiance was very inviting and trendy, it felt like a total vibe inside with modern furniture and cool art. There were a few TVs at the bar playing local sports and it was very clean all the way around. The service was great! Very attentive, checking in frequently, and several different staff members would check in. I appreciate their attention and focus on what they could control within the environment. The food felt like a bit of an after-thought. The restaurant came from a great idea, lots of effort put into look and feel, good service, but the food was bland. Again, it felt like the food was more focused on presentation versus flavor. All food was good but nothing very exciting. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, croquettes, ceviche, and bolognese. The brussel sprouts tasted more like burnt leaves, wish there was more Asian pear and the sprouts weren't cooked as long. The croquettes were tasty, wish there was more ham and less filling, and the bolognese was just bland and the best bites were with any basil for extra flavor (seemed like it was missing seasoning overall). The shrimp ceviche was our favorite, it tasted fresh but the best part was the small red chiles! Nice little surprise heat! That was the extra flavor we were hoping for and wishing for in every dish. I had a nice meal here with my parents recently. It was packed for a Tuesday night! This was exactly the vibe we were looking for - an upscale cocktail bar. We were on a quick trip in Scottsdale and didn't have fancy clothes with us, but we wanted a nice warm meal to celebrate an early birthday together. Fire At Will is upscale casual I would say, so that was great for us. I tried one of their gin cocktails and thought it was really balanced and tasty. We enjoyed everything we got to eat. The only thing that didn't "wow" us was the French onion soup dip...we were excited to try it but we all agreed it could have had more onion flavor. It was sort of bland, unfortunately. Also maybe having some other options for dipping besides just the potato chips. It just became a little one-note after a few bites. The gem salad was DELICIOUS - super fresh and crisp, and the dressing on it was very good. We shared the Mac & cheese which was also great. My mom enjoyed her chicken Marsala, and my dad got the burger and said it was "really, really good." My branzino was good, but I'm a bit torn on whether or not fried panko breading is the right preparation for such a nice piece of fish. It was cooked perfectly, but was maybe the tiniest bit heavy/greasy with the fried crust. I ate it all and enjoyed it though. We got a seasonal cobbler for dessert, which was apple the night we were there. Very good! We were extremely full and happy leaving here. Worth checking out if you're in the area. read more
