The 'ol 'freaky fast.' Ah the memories. As Jimmy has liquidated à good number of locations , The decline of Jimmy Johns has been quite noticeable . But is the sun truly setting ? I don't think so, but I have also noticed that the sandwich hasn't tasted quite as good as I remember it to be. I ordered the roast beef (possibly hunter's club?) sandwich. Topped off with a little bit everything , the sandwich was a bit dry, and could have used some oil/vinegar. Even though I asked for everything , it was missing onions and pickles, and mustard . I received everything else though. I just opine that I believe they slathered a bit more mayo than necessary . My experience with Jimmy has been solely exclusive to their roast beef sandwiches . Might be willing to get out of my comfort zone and order something else . read more

This was my first time at Jimmy John's and it was okay. I got their veggie sandwich which didn't seem very full of veggies. The bread was also just okay and felt a bit soggy. The sandwich was a good size, but it didn't seem worth it for me. I think the sandwich came with some cheese, lots of lettuce, very little avocado and tomato. First time trying this place and I was super surprised! The ingredients taste fresh and great! I got the Turkey Tom and it was so simple and delicious. The service was a little slow but the staff was friendly. And the ambiance is fast food ish so not much you'd expect but that but it has seating. Will definitely be back again! read more

Jimmy John's is a Midwest sandwich chain that's opening more and more locations out here in Southern California. I would put it similar to say a Jersey Mike's, minus the oil and vinegar. I really like Jimmy John's, but I am given it four stars because I would prefer to have the oil and vinegar, just makes the sandwich that much tastier. But overall they have excellent sandwiches and a reasonable price for the most part. You can use the app to make the service quicker and get rewards when ordering, but typically they get you in and out very fast and the various locations I have visited, the staff has always been nice and accommodating to any type of sandwich request you may have. The stores are pretty straightforward typical Sandwich shop nothing over the top, a few quirky sayings on the walls and standard tables that are clean and plenty of room to sit. My most recent visit I got the #7 spicy East Coast Italian, peppers on the side, the peppers have a pretty good spice to them, so they may be spicy for some people. That's why I get them on the side so I can control how much I want in each bite but they're super good. The sandwiches come on a standard French roll. Bread is very tasty. The East Coast Italian has double Genoa salami, double cappocollo and provolone along with peppers and any topping you like. Super tasty. If there is a location near you, check them out. The servers here are fun and friendly! This attitude always makes my purchases here very pleasant. I always like the sandwiches because I like their bread. Jimmy John's isn't a common franchise in SoCal so I was pleasantly surprised to find one in NoHo. I swung by for nostalgic reasons and was welcome with the signature smell of fresh French bread, aka the "free smell". I got my usual order with extra Jimmy peppers (a must for folks who can handle some spice!) + a side of jalapeño chips, and it took me back to my exam weeks during grad school. The staff were all super friendly and efficient with my order. By the time I finished paying, my sandwich was ready to go. The only downside with this location is the parking situation. There's only street parking available and I had to go around a few times to find a spot. Otherwise, a very good experience! read more

They didn't give xtra salami or ham which was extremely sparse to begin with and didn't make up for no capocollo.The rolls were hard and became softer after a quick zap. I'm dealing with planning the burials of two people who died suddenly and thought we'd order sandwiches for lunch to ease my burden of cooking one meal. We didn't have a lot of time to take out for eating, but we placed an online order and drove over and picked it up. We ordered two sandwiches: a regular sized Bootlegger sub with light tomato, add mustard, add extra peppers. Double sized Country Club sub with add cucumbers, add oil & vinegar, add mustard, cut in half. We received: Bootlegger with full tomato, no mustard, no peppers, cucumber. Country Club with light tomato, no oil and vinegar, no mustard, extra peppers, not cut in half. Since we ordered online, there was no mouth-to-ear transmission failure. The order was plainly written on a screen or printout for the employee to read. It was also correct on the receipt. This is either a reading comprehension issue, indifference, or simple incompetence. Either way, it is dangerous (read: a premise liability) for a reading-challenged, indifferent, or incompetent employee to be making people's food. I have an anaphylactic allergy - what if my sandwich was made on an employee's whim, no regard to my specifications, and included a deadly allergen? Because we didn't have time to call the restaurant, quarterback the correct order over the phone, and then wait for a compensated delivery of the newly prepared food, I had to spend time and energy ripping both sandwiches apart and remaking them. But they weren't good, especially because I was so angry at the inconvenience. If there is a next time, we will be sure to not tip before picking up the order, and we will definitely unwrap each item at the counter to ensure accuracy before we leave. Shame on us for expecting a simple order to be read and executed correctly. read more

I've been getting sandwiches here since they opened up, literally was there from day one. Over the past few months and today, my sandwiches have not been put together properly. Every time I have had an issue, Curtis was the one behind the counter. Curtis has a good attitude but it doesn't matter if the sandwich is not prepared as you wanted. I even asked both Curtis and his partner if it had Jimmy Peppers on it and cut in half, they said we follow the directions on the order, they do not. I asked for extra Jimmy peppers, and they put four pieces of Jimmy peppers, when I called he said it should have been ten pieces. I asked for it to be cut in half, but it was not. I asked for light oil and vinegar and it is pretty wet. The first 2 times this happened I let it go as it was never like this prior. But I've had it, I spend money and should get what I ordered. I'll be going to Jersey Mike's for the foreseeable future. My wife likes that one better anyway, I usually have to convince her that Jimmy John's is better, but it's not when your order is consistently prepared wrong. The location seems very light and bright and clean. But again if the food is not what you want what does the atmosphere matter. I cannot recommend this location if you care how they prepare your sandwich. read more

I moved to SoCal from an area with a few Jimmy John's. Since moving tho I never really saw them. Luckily, I've been hanging out with a friend that lives in NoHo who's also got a soft spot for food. Even better, he also moved from an area with Jimmy John's so you can just guess what was on the menu today. Walking in the this venue is SPOTLESS. I also can appreciate a restaurant with a bangin playlist as they were playing all the old school cuts. The staff was friendly upon entry greeting us and everyone else. They were quick taking orders and bruh... I MISSED those sandwiches. I think anyone that's had a Jimmy John's sub can attest to how fresh their bread and ingredients taste. I've been coming to multiple Jimmy John's from Nevada to St. Louis to my hometown in Los Angeles this is the first time that I encountered that attitude from my manager that was training another staff. I ordered a unwich 16inch and was charged 10.99x2 for tv e 8 inch instead of the 17.99$ price. I called it it at 7:35 and showed up at 7:45pm and was greeted unwelcomely. My unwich was not made for the simple fact that he wanted to let me know that I was gonna be charged double for 8inch since I'm not using bread. Not cool man. I enjoy JJ better than subway or Jersey Mikes. I know how it is to work end of day. But at the end of the day we are the customers are paying your payroll. Peace. read more

My boyfriend and I were really hungry and I was craving something comforting, which to me is a Bootlegger club and bbq chips and we happened to be close to like the only Jimmy John's in the LA area. We were served by Daryl who in my opinion is one of the few people who likes his job. He was attentive, nice, diligent and funny! Overall just an amazing experience and a good guy all around. We have all seen these huge Jimmy Johns sandwiches on TV. Take a look at the sandwhich I received in my Jimmy Johns Lunch box. The Costco card is for size reference. All the lettuce and onion you see on TV? The lettuce and onion is in this sandwhich. Can you see it? 1 piece of lettuce each side and 2 little pieces if onion. This is dissapointing. This place has made some great sandwiches for us. But lately they have messed up severely over and over. First they delivered us chicken wraps that had no chicken. They sent us replacements but they came so late we ended up tossing those. Then we give them another chance today and order the same thing. This time they missed a few ingredients, including cheese but they added peppers that we didn't want. I call the store and let them know it was wrong. They tell me they were out of the thing we wanted. So why not call and tell us?? Instead the first person who was very nice passed the phone to the catering manager. I think his name was Curtis. He kept trying to say he would remake the wraps and bring them even though they didn't have the ingredients we wanted in the wrap. He said "supply chain issue." I asked for a refund instead. He then tells me I have to bring the wraps back to Jimmy John's to void the order. Let me say that again. He wanted me to drive to the store to bring back in the wrong order I had DELIVERED so I'm able to get a refund. I'm super annoyed, but I was going to do it. Once I agree to come in and drop them off he then says he can send someone to get them to return them. He was so incredibly rude about it. I get that sometimes people have bad days but don't take it out on customers that you did wrong. Not only will we never go back we will make sure everyone knows how bad our experience was. its been about 10 years since I've been to a Jimmy John's and I remember ordering a sandwich after a long day at work with my dad and uncles. It was a memory I will never forget. It was good! So perfect for that day. However, I have not had the opportunity to go back since. After another hard day of messy housework-- I didn't want to cook food so I decided to go to Jimmy John's. I ordered a sandwich, chips, and a drink-- and it was perfect-- like I remembered it back then. I really appreciate businesses like this. I know times are tough, however, they're doing their part and, hopefully, us, as customers, can do ours to support local businesses like this one. I forget that they are several cuts above subway and the other fast food sandwich chains. I love the freshness, I love the options, and I love the process. I super appreciate these workers.
