For tires and your basic needs, oil change and such, this place is pretty good. The staff is mostly friendly and pretty helpful. However, I had a horrible experience that completely turned me off to this place. Maybe it was my karma, who knows. Last year my air conditioning was acting up, so I took my car in to them. They fixed a lot, including a fan, and it cost me a pretty penny, but luckily they offered a firestone credit card with 6 months no interest, and everyone seemed really helpful. The car seemed to be doing better when I got it back, but as soon as the weather got warm again the air conditioning was not working and car was overheating. I brought the car back 3 or 4 times until finally they told me it was a fan. So my husband got a firestone credit card and we maxed that our fixing the "problem". Well, it still wasn't fixed, and after taking it back a couple of times and it finally being supposedly fixed, it started overheating very badly, to the point i couldn't drive it and neither fans were working. Keep in mind that over this period of a few months I paid for both fans to be replaced. I was a little irate by now and they paid to have the car towed in and said there was nothing wrong with it and the fans were working fine. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a woman, or some glitch in the matrix, but I'm no idiot and I know how to check and see if a fan is running on a car and neither were. They then told me that there was nothing they could do and the overheating must be from the transmission. I called around and every mechanic I spoke with said that the transmission probably could not cause overheating. At this point it was starting to be winter so the overheating was not happening and the air conditioning was not needed, so with my financial situation I decided to do nothing more about it. MY BAD! Now I'm still paying on the damn firestone card, and have all the same problems with the weather getting warm again. I feel I was wronged in some way because I paid $2000 to have a problem fixed that was never fixed. I'm not sure what the hell happened or where it all went wrong, but I do know I will never trust them with my car again. I will stick to the more expensive but reliable local mechanics, like Scotty's Auto. read more

*********2/22/14 UPDATE: Firestone has promised payment for damages 3 times in the past month. I have still NOT received payment.******* FIRESTONE'S POOR QUALITY OF WORK--In June 2013, I took my 2010 Honda Civic into this Firestone for an oil change. When I picked up the car the Assistant Manager, Sandra said the work had been completed and that I would be charged for a new oil plug because it needed to be replaced. In January 2014, I took the same car to Midas for a basic oil change but the shop manager declined to begin work because it looked like the oil plug or pan was stripped and leaking. The very next day I took the car back to the Firestone location where it was last worked on. I asked the Assistant Manager, Sandra to double check their work and contact me as soon as they find the problem. FIRESTONE'S FALSE CLAIM--The next morning Sandra called to inform me that they took care of the problem by installing a new (yes another) oil plug and that they changed the oil. Sandra's explanation for the second new oil plug was that this is normal wear and tear and is common with Honda's because their oil pans are made of soft aluminum. I called the Honda for a second opinion and confirmed that Sandra's CLAIM was FALSE--oil plugs do not need to be changed as regular maintenance especially in a new car. When I returned to Firestone to pick up my car, I asked to speak to the mechanic and then the Manager. The mechanic, Pat explained that the first bolt they installed was not the correct size so they replaced it with a larger bolt to fix the problem. When I talked to the Manager, Anthony he admitted that their mistake would require a new oil pan and agreed to replace oil pan. At this point I did not trust them to work on my car so the Manager agreed to reimburse the cost of the oil pan replacement with the proof of receipt. FIRESTONE'S LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE--Since I submitted the receipts of more than $600 to Sandra and Anthony in January and I have not received any compensation for fixing their mistake or an apology. 1st time I was in it was around 10am for an oil change. I was told to come back at 1pm. 1pm ended up being 3pm and I was late to work. 2nd time I dropped my car here was about 10am and I was told to come back at 1pm. I showed up at 2pm, no one was working on any cars and my car hadn't been touched. Employee was nice and apologetic. I had to go to work so he said bring in anytime this week and ask for me and I will give you priority. I tried dropping off today and asked for the guy but the Manager tells me he doesn't care what that guy says because its first come first serve. He says he has too much to do some he Says I can come in sometime next week. I explained what happened to him and he says "well I wasn't here, come back next week when we have time". read more

I bought four tires for my minivan thru piercey toyota which came with 65,000 miles warranty. Taking my car to the dealer religiously for oil change and tire rotation, 22,000 miles later my tires are gone. I called firestone and they asked me to go to this location for warranty inspection. Roy calls me couple of days before our appointment to confirm my appointment which i had made with the corporate. On the day i came by, Anthony was at the service desk looked up the appointment which had said that i was there to replace my tires only. I said no. I told him that it was for inspection only to prorate my tires. Their prorate was double the price which BAR and my attorney agreed which i should pay for those tire. I told Anthony to just write a report and give me a report. He fills in a blank report paper without any of my vehicles information nor my name. Suddenly this guy Jose comes out and says "sir my name is Jose, and i want to tell you that all toyota siennas and priuss are built horrible because toyota does not know how to build good suspensions. My sister inlaw has a toyota sienna and she goes thru tires every 15,000 miles." We almost got into arguments and i explained to him that i was going to talk to toyota and get back with him. I called toyota and i explained how Jose at firestone has told me that they make horrible cars and that non of toyota siennas or priuss have good suspensions and that they were made with default. Toyota looked up to see if there is any recalls or problems with their suspensions and they said that they do t have any problems with their suspensions and that they are taking this seriously. They asked me to call Jose back and ask to put it in writing that toyota makes such horrible cars. I called Jose today and asked him to put it in writing and email me what he td me in front of my wife who witness his conversation with me. Suddenly Mr. Knows it all said " sorry i just work here, i can't put it in writing." What??? I told him that he needs to stand up to his words and put it in writing because toyota was interested in going after people who give false information about their vehicles. Anyways i'm following up on monday with fire stone and BAR. I already paid $700 for tires that had 65,000 miles warranty and that i wasn't going to pay $400 extra for some faulty tires that will last me another 22,000 miles. If they do not cooperate, i will files a small claims and will charge them for all my times lost from my company to go after them. They are putting my wife and children's life in jeopardy. Save your money and go to Hankook tires on El Camino. They will charge you way less for better tires and if you want to get the similar but again better tires than fire stones, you can go to Tired Only on san carlos and bird. You pay half or less than half of what these guys try to sell you with their fake warranties. read more

Robert placed a delivery from the warehouse for them. Five days later not being sure they would actually arrive Robert gave me a deal on different tires to match my price point and get me going. My check engine light had come on for the first time about 6 weeks ago when I took it into Firestone to have the matter fixed. No issues. Now it came on again. Firestone told me to bring in the vehicle although I had no appointment and they took a look at it. Short story: They ran a free diagnostic for me and found that it was likely a part covered under the car powertrain warranty that would have cost $1,600 to repair. My car is only 4 years old. I very much appreciated the fact they did not charge me for the diagnostic test which was $100 and then told me this was likely a warranty item and take it to the dealer. This is what I did and it was in fact covered by warranty and the dealer confirmed it would have been a very expensive repair! I drive all the way from San Francisco to get my car serviced here. They are always able to see me on the same day and really do great work. Minus one star for not having Wifi in the office. Lately their prices have become a bit high though, I pay $75 for an oil change with a 20% discount coupon and a tire rotation. However it is worth it and I really enjoy their service. read more

Good and bad issues with my experience at this location. I came here because my mom has had great experiences with them over the past few months. Roy is super nice! When I told him about the consistent uneven wear of the front tires on my husband's car (despite new shocks, etc) he assured me that he would do a "Complete Vehicle Inspection" and figure out what the problem was. As I needed to replace the front tires, we discussed the advantages of an SUV tire versus the passenger tires we had on the car. I scheduled an appointment online for an alignment (and to buy the lifetime alignment deal), tire replacement, and an inspection for 1pm on Wednesday. Roy called me to explain that he only had 2 techs so they were overbooked. As I was not in a huge hurry, I agreed to leave my car for the day. I made the huge mistake of saying I may be able to leave the car overnight. Roy told me they would do the inspection by 4:30 or 5 and he would call to let me know what they found. I talked to Roy just before 5, just to be told that the techs wouldn't be able to get to my car until after 6 but he would have to call me in the morning since he is off at 5. So I called him at 8:15 on Thursday morning. He said that he hadn't yet reviewed the inspection and he was helping other customers so he would call me back. I heard back from Roy around 8:45. He provided the list of issues as well as a crazy high estimate ($14661.42). I told him just to replace the tires and do the alignment. He said he would have it done by 1pm. I picked the car up at 1, but Roy wasn't around. The other man who checked me out asked if Roy had told me about the recommended repairs. He cashed me out, and I immediately went to my regular mechanic. (If my regular guy did alignments, I would have him do it.) He did the work needed for under $600 in two hours. However, the car needed to be aligned again due to replacement of suspension parts. Another issue I was shown by my regular guy was a substantial oil leak... this was not noted or brought to my attention at all by Firestone despite the $29.99 charge for a "Complete Vehicle Inspection." I went online and scheduled an appointment at Firestone for 11am today to have the alignment done again. Roy left a message for me at 6:41pm. The message did not indicate there was an issue with the scheduling, just a request to call back. I wasn't able to call back before they closed, so I called this morning. Roy told me that their online system has issues with double- and triple-booking so he asked if I could leave my car all day so they could squeeze it in whenever they had a chance this afternoon. I told him that I could not, and that it would have been nice to hear about this issue before now. It's not like this is the first online scheduling I have done this week! I also asked why I wasn't told about the oil leak. First Roy said that he was distracted and forgot to write it down. When I expressed my unhappiness at the entire experience, he told me that he spent so much time figuring out the issues that I came in for that he didn't have time to note the leak. Which is it?? I am appreciative for (hopefully) getting to the bottom of the wear issue. However, their repair costs are extraordinarily high (more than double what my normal guy charged) and they simply don't honor appointments. Sadly, I don't think I will be coming back to this particular location. read more

Just recently got an alignment done on my Audi and went with the lifetime warranty for $170. After a quick phone call to them to check on availability they told me I would need schedule for another day but then I told him that I had a day off of work and needed to get it done today. He then told me he could squeeze me into the schedule and to bring my car in but it would take 2 to 3 hours with a few other cars to complete before getting to mine, which was perfect and exactly what I wanted to hear. There was no line nor delay to get the paperwork going before and after the car was done. I was quickly in and out and they addressed all my questions and concerns. Result: It was ready in 3 hrs. Also they didn't mind that my car was lowered. I did not have adjustable control arms so they could not adjust the camber on the front. Also they cannot adjust the under side/ subframe to even out the camber from one side to the other or at least they said that is not included in their alignment package. The shop is located very close to the downtown campbell area with lots of shops and restaurants nearby to kill time while you wait. The manager I dealt with was very profressional and knowledgable. He didn't pressure me into buying any extra add ons and got me in and out quick. Tire prices also seemed reasonable. I plan on keeping my Audi for a long time and will be bringing my car in for the lifetime alignment many more times in the future and am glad I had a good experience with them on my first try. read more

This place is horrible. Always lags in appointment times. Last week we were there & we were the last appt. I specifically asked how long it would be... "oh about 30 mins, but let's say an hour just incase." We went and grabbed a bite to eat which was about an hour & 15 mins. We had no call, but we went by to see if it was ready. Nope. All the staff was just standing around bullshitting... I'm all for staff breaks and stuff but, common! It was 6:15, don't y'all want to go home? They told us "oh sorry, it's not done. We will have it finished in 25 mins." 45 mins after that we finally had our car back. I will never go there again. Good thing our lifetime alignment is allowed at other places because you couldn't pay me to go there anymore. Please note: if this was the first time we experienced something like this, I wouldn't be writing this review. We have 4 cars and each time we have gone there something along the lines of this happen. read more

I am sitting in the Firestone store. The time is 2:39. I have been here since my SCHEDULED appointment time of 9AM. After the first hour and a half, they said that they could not find the lock to remove the tires. We found it for them in the very place they said they had looked, and began to wait again. At this hour, they have finally mounted the tires and have to first start doing the wheel alignment. This is costing $700 and all of my Sunday. Obviously I would have Ubered home if they had said it would be this long... but they said 2-3 hours at most. We are now going on 6 hours. read more

Saved $400 on brakes and $150 on Tires!!! and they even topped off my coolant for free!! I took my car into the Campbell Firestone for some new brake pads. I called around and shops like Precision Auto Tune quoted me $300/axle - which means you can expect to pay around $600 bucks for some new brake pads for all four wheels! After calling a few shops, Josh at Firestone Campbell (on Winchester) gave me the best price. He even accepted an online coupon so I could save even more $$. Because I was saving about $400 bucks on brakes, I decided to pick up some new tires and he gave me a killer deal on those, too! I like this place because Josh and Sandra do the work you ask them to do - be it brakes, tires, alignment - whatever. They will suggest other services to you, but they don't get pushy like other shops. And more importantly, they don't act like you're stupid! When they recommend something, they'll even show what's going on. For example, he said I could use some new tires and should probably get the alignment checked and he even showed me the worn-out inner tread on my existing tires. These guys really know what their doing! They ask you questions like, "Have you ever rotated the tires?" or "Does this ___ happen when you do that ___?" in an effort to clearly identify your problem. They can usually tell you right then and there what's going on, but they def don't cut corners when looking for the EXACT problem. They get pretty busy and I think they only have 2 or 3 mechanics, so be sure to bring your car in early, set an appointment or drop it off and pick it up after work. I really like this place and will come back for brakes, alignment, tires & maintenance work any day. Other people obviously feel the same or they wouldn't be so busy all the time! read more

I've been here a few times, and each time the service gets worse. I was first referred to them by a random person who noticed I had a flat tire, and I was just across the street, so of course I went right over. They patched the hole in about 20 minutes, and I was on my way. I was so impressed with their efficiency, when it came time to schedule my 100K tune up, they were the first ones I called. That's where my nightmare began. I called on Friday, and spoke to Sandra who told me they could "fit me in" on Sunday, but I absolutely had to have my car in before 10. Ok, fine, I like to sleep in on the weekends, but I'll deal. I get out of the shower at 9:30, and I get a call from Sandra, and she says, "It's okay if you bring your car in later", and I replied that I was already up and on my way. She said "Ok, bring it in".. When I checked in, I was told it would be a maximum wait of an hour and a half. OK fine, it's Sunday, I'll go check out the Farmer's Market, and kill some time. Silly me, I expected my car to be done by 12.. Sadly I was wrong. I walked back and they hadn't even started on my car yet. I voiced my strong dislike of the situation and she told me they were short staffed, and my car was next in line. I walked over several times to check the progress, and the tech who was supposed to be working on my car was playing on his phone, changing the radio station, etc. ANYTHING but working on my car. I was extremely upset, and I voiced my concerns yet again, and Sandra just kept saying, "It's almost done, It's almost done". 3 1/2 hours later, my car was done. So yes, I spent FIVE HOURS waiting on a car that was supposed have been done long before. Nightmare #2, I got a flat a few weeks ago. I had purchased a FULL set of tires from Firestone and purchased the "Road Hazard" whatever, so I can only go to them. I called beforehand to make sure they had the tire in stock in case it needed to be replaced. I was assured they had the tire. I had to take time off work, only to sit there for over an HOUR, to have them tell me they can't find a hole, so they filled the tire, and told me to come back if it got low again. WHICH IT DID. I had to miss MORE work, only to sit there for ANOTHER 2 hours, and listen to Sandra tell everyone they are short staffed. In my opinion, they either need to hire more people, or fire the losers who play on their phones instead of doing their job. They lost a long time customer and I will refer all of my friends and family to anyone BUT Firestone. read more

This is regarding all Firestone auto care places. I do like the tires, but do not be fooled into getting the lifetime warranties, they're selling Bu@#sh%^. If you have a nail, it's $20 without the warranty. It's included with warranty, but be ready to wait 2 to 3 hours. At a regular tire place or gas station, it's $10 without the wait. Not worth spending almost an additional $100 for nothing. As for tire damage, for a 70,000 mile tire with 20,000 miles of use, it's always at 50% worn out when you finally get inspected. No more tires for me, my employees, and will tell my clients to avoid Firestone. read more

He saw how stressed out I was from driving all over town all day, he installed the tire at no charge while I had a warm cup of tea. Very clean and customer friendly. I used this service for inspection my car, when I come and ask about appointment for tomorrow or today and how long this inspection, store manager Roy told me 45-60 min and right now we can start. I waited 1 hour when master started inspection, after 2 hours he asked about key lock for my wheels. During 10 min i brought key lock and manager told me we can't completed today inspection. Finally I lost 2.5 hours and my car inspection was not completed. Dear Store manager, if you don't have time or your masters busy, please tell about it your customers. I do not recommend this facility, and here's why: 1. had a 7AM appt., and I was 10 minutes late. There were two people ahead of me, both of whom gave up, left their cars, and called for backup transportation 2. Was told the car would be ready by 9AM at the latest 3. was supposed to get Destination ATs, but they installed Destination LEs. I should have checked the temp receipt I got more closely 4. car didn't get on the lift until almost 8:40AM. There were no cars on that lift 5. watched the technician tighten the lug nuts with an impact tool, never saw him go back and check the torque readings with a proper torque tool 6. by the time all was said and done, I left the facility at 9:45AM. They still hadn't done the alignment check, but had to leave 7. Bottom line, replace 4 tires took 2.5 hours I should have stuck with the tire dealer I've used in the past, but they don't carry Firestones, and that tire, the Destination AT, generally has good/very good reviews read more

I scheduled an appointment online for 10:00 am on a Saturday. When I got there, they were busy so I had to wait about 30 minutes even though I had an appointment. I went in to have my alignment checked, which they did and I needed an alignment. They told me the alignment would be $110. I told them I was expecting the cost to be around $80 and that $110 was high. They told me it was higher because they use "special equipment". I said $110 was really high. They then told me they could honor their online special price of $99. I still thought that was high, but agreed since my car was already on the rack and they could do it at that time. Later when I got home, I checked the web site again and saw the cost should have been $79. I received an email asking to complete a survey, so I completed the survey and complained about being charged a higher price. The next day I got a voicemail from them apologizing for the "miscommunication" and I could come back in for a refund. As it was the week of Thanksgiving, I didn't go back. I don't intend to go back as I feel I was charged a female premium and would rather not go back ever again. Shop around and make sure you know what you should be getting charged to avoid being overcharged. read more

I had two new back tires replaced and the front right tire needed a patch. Everything was fine until the next day when I noticed they replaced the air valves on two of the tires with black plastic generic valves instead of the silver air valves I had on the tires originally. When I returned to the shop the following day I experienced extreme attitude from the mechanic. The mechanic should of replaced the valves with my original ones .... I guess this was too much to ask. So i have gone here off and on throughout the past few years, never too happy but happier than lets say Americas tire company (but we wont go there on Firestone's review). So i made an appointment for both of my cars for tire rotation and for an alignment check. Both cars have the lifetime alignment on them. I brought one car in very early in the morning and was told it would take an hour. So two hours later i finally get the car back. Whatever that's fine. My second car i saw up on their lift when i was picking up the first car. I was told it would be a couple hours ( really to rotate tires and check stuff real quick) whatever again, i told them i didn't need the car until around noon. So at 12:20 they tell me to head on down it will be ready in 15 min. I get there after 30 min and my car is still on the lift with the tires still off. Same position it was in 3 hours earlier. They then tell me it will be another 20 min. My biggest complaint is how i was only spending 20 bux on rotation so i felt they didn't care about me because they had other customers spending "more". And don't tell me my freaking car is done, when its not. That is a huge waste of my time. Sometimes they tell me things my car needs and sometimes things i know my car doesn't need. This place is only good for an alignment and rotation, and that's just if you have the time to waste. If you need belts, brake work, any things fluid related, do yourself a favor and spend a tiny bit more and go to a real mechanic. read more

I even used to go to the now-closed Sunnyvale branch, which employed many of the same crew members who now work here. Called on a Wed. looking for 4 new tires in a certain size, tread design and by a certain manufacturer and was told that they could have them in a few hours. I couldn't come in until the weekend so I made an appointment for Sun to have those tires installed. I showed a bit early and was told the tires were not there, but they would have them pretty quickly and that I should leave my truck they will call me in a few hours. No big deal. Just before my wife picked me up I looked at the work order just to double check that everything was right. I noticed they had me down for a H/T tread design when I wanted an A/T tread design. I went back into the shop to tell the gentleman working that I didn't want the H/T tire. He looked up what I wanted and said that he couldn't get those tires for nearly 10 days, but he could sell me some tires that were in stock that were over $100 more per tire. Yeah I bet you can. I told him I made this appointment 4 days ago and that I was specific about what I wanted and was told that they would be available. He literally just shrugged his shoulders and asked me if wanted the other tires. When I said absolutely not and that I would go somewhere else he actually seemed surprised. ill go somewhere else i am appreciated for my business. the manager was on the speaker phone during a conference call and couldnt be bothered to stop and help me. i called the number on the website and he picked up while i stood in front of him and i asked for his help. he told me that he was busy and that someone else could help me. i went into the garage area and called out for anyone who could help me pay my invoice and collect my car but the other associate was on a personal call. the manager then stuck his head out and helped me after waiting about 20 minutes in the lobby. the mechanic isaac was super friendly and even discussed my issues over the phone the previous night. the manager while still playing his conference call for the entire lobby had my papers printed. the printer they use only printed half of my paperwork - so dissatisfied with this experience and i intend to yelp about it. there was no concern for my time or explaining my half-faded paperwork to me. read more
