Firestone installs low quality batteries. Had a new battery installed with a 5 years warranty. Two years 100% and after that prorate. First battery died in 22 months. They honored the warranty and put in a new battery with a $30 service fee. The service writer told me that the replacement battery had a 24month 100% warranty and I actually wrote that with his name on the service envelope he gave me. Then 16 months 5000 miles later that battery failed. Firestone now tells me that the second battery has no warranty and was willing to give me a whole $37 off the price of a new battery with zero warranty on the replacement battery. I showed him the envelope with the notes and he told me that person no long works there so tough luck. What does this all tell us, Firestone sells low quality batteries and does not honor the warranty. Firestone service writers tell you whatever they need to to make a sale. Simply a dishonest Company. Replaced it with a DieHard at $80 less better specifications and three year 100% no bs warranty. Firestone and Interstate Batteries are both low quality. read more

Ken was a great help. After two hours at Sears to discover they have Zero tires the size I need Firestone didn't have the size either (thanks Honda for giving me some obscure size) ... Without missing a beat Ken researched which locations had the tire I need and asked what side of town would be more convenient. Ken called the Pecos Ridge location and told them I was coming over. Driving 35 mph on a donut is stressful and after Sears bad service I wasn't expecting much but Ken was super cool and helpful and restored my faith in car service. I'm now at Pecos Ridge Firestone and they were waiting for me with my tire. Happy. read more

Thomas and his team did a great job, they got me a good deal on4 tires, and also located and fixed an issue. Good quality, service. I always tell people I like firestone because unlike their competitors they're open late, and 7 days a week for those of us who work a normal 8-5 job and can't take 3 off hours for tires. Drove into Las Vegas for the weekend and JUST as I parked my car the check engine light went on and my car started spluttering. Fearing the worst (Namely being stranded in Las Vegas on a weekend when all mechanics were closed and with 300 miles between there and home) I found this Firestone open bright and early on Sunday morning. Thomas Meyers and his crew were wonderful and efficient. They got my car fixed and ready to hit the road in a record amount of time and I made it home that night after all! Came here to swap tires from one set of rims to the other. I did not have an appointment and the shop was very busy but Casey helped me out and made sure I was out on time within an hour and a half. Jesse in the front also was kind in explaining everything that was going on and answered any questions I had. One of the service crew even helped me carry my rims to my truck when the job was done. Received a call from Earl, a new manager at this location, apologizing for the poor experience I had and invited me to come back to the store to make things right. When I got there I was also helped by Casey, another new manager. Apparently a large part of the staff including the prior managers have been changed just recently and this new team seem to be trying hard to get things back on track. I'm giving a 2 stars! First of all, we go in at 9am Tuesday morning and there is already a 3 hour wait just to diagnose the tire. So I leave. I call back to see if they even have a tire and price the same run flat and Nick Chavez said I had to come in to pay. Mind you I just left there and live 20 minutes away. So I did tell him that's ridiculous. He tells me that sorry it's policy if you are ordering a tire and I'm sorry you came in early but he had just gotten there at 10am. So I end up coming in around 3pm and order it. He said the tire is not here and that they have it in the warehouse but it should be there by the end of the day, which they close at 8pm. So I'm waiting and waiting and waiting, no call by anyone that evening to let me know of the status. The next morning I tried calling no answer. So I wait and wait again, then around 3 pm I go in and ask if our tire is in and kind you it's already fully paid Nick Chavez again tells me if just got in off the truck. And I told him that you did state that it would've been in last night and this is HORRIBLE customer service, I WILL GIVE YOU A HORRIBLE RATING!!! He goes my bad that I made an ass out of myself. He said why would you do that I replied well you over promised and under delivered. And he said it would be a 2+ hour wait. I said the hell it would be I've been here 3x and I've prepaid. No!!!! So they got it done in 45 minutes. I said that's what I thought!!!! First of all he has zero communication skills for this customer service job AT ALL! When you get there ask for Mark, he was very professional, courteous, and doesn't BS on what needs to be done to your car to get it back on the road. The best part was I got my car back the next day! Came here again for the second time this week because one of my tires seems to be deflating quickly. I had to pump it up atleast every 2 days. Chris helped me out on finding the leak. Terrible!!! I came in for a simple serpentine belt fix. It came off after a speed bump that I took too hard. They wanted a $50 'diagnostic' fee and then were already talking about replacing the belt, the tensioner and a pulley or two before even seeing the car. I explained that all I needed was the belt put back on just so I can get home, switch to another car and take my kid to his first day at 1st grade. The attendant continued to insist that it was not possible, despite signs all over the place that this was a place for COMPLETE auto care. Sounds like to me they were just in for the complete UPSELL and attempted raping of my wallet. Way to win relationships with your local community and build trust with potential customers! Not. It's a damn shame. The mechanic looked like he wanted to help out, but it I come to find out later that the attendant I was talking to was actually the manager. Take your car elsewhere. The only thing you'll get here is a bigger headache than what you started with and a much lighter wallet if you let them CON you into some 'work.' Rip off !!!! All I can say. I went there on Tuesday morning 7/16/13 because I needed a tune-up for my car. Walked in and welcomed by a mechanic there. After he looked up my information in the system and said I need to change the valves cover gasket too because it's leaking. I asked for the total price of both tune up and change the gasket. He said the total would be around $700 something so I said I don't have enough money so I will come back the other day ( reason for saying that because I only needed the tune up now I need another gasket change and the price is too high!!!!) but he didn't let me walk out that easily and he asked me if I want to register for the card at their shop so I could pay with the car like a credit car that has $1200. I said ok and after 10 minus I got approve but I tried to walked out and he said you have $1200 in your card right now and 10% off why don't you just do it right now, do it when you can. I still tried to avoid it and said I'll come back and he raised his voice. At the point, I can't stay anymore and walked out. These people are trained to rip off people. So I searched on Yelp for another place and it showed that one place call " Busy Buggy " so I went there, got my car back at 1:30 for tuning up and valves cover gasket changes plus put on the rotor and brake pads which I had the parts and brought it there for them to installed it plus rotation. Surprisingly, $510 for everything and I got $25 off because now they are offering buy $50 for a deal of $75. Clean office and free sodas, cookies and ice cream for the hot days plus free ride home if you have to leave your car there. read more

This specific Firestone is your typical crooked mechanic spot... They told me my car had leaking struts which turned to be completely false after taking it to the dealership to fix... I'd get oil changes here which were always high priced but payed out of convenience because it was close to home.. That will officially stop. I found a nail in my tire so naturally I brought my car in to get the tire patched. The guy at the counter came out to look at my tire and informed me that because of the location of the nail, it could not be patched and I needed a new tire instead. My car is all wheel drive, meaning I'd actually need 4 new tires, which I'm sure he would have told me after if I agreed to a new tire. I knew the location was ok to be patched so I took it to Big O tires where guess what, they patched it and it's been doing just fine. Obviously the guy at Firestone just saw a woman and thought I wouldn't know any better and thought he'd just make a sale instead. read more

I recently had an alignment done on my car at this location (rainbow and 215) and when I got my car back it was in the same if not worst condition than when I left it. I was informed that one of the nuts for a tie rod was ceased, I didn't have time at the moment to ask for a refund or redo the alignment, so I took it to another Firestone and they had no problems in performing the procedure correctly. I have read some of the reviews for this store and dismissed them, I made a mistake. I would suggest that you do your research when going to places like these, but you can always use my experience, for example, and learn from it. Although the problem was solved, I would recommend that you avoid Firestone altogether, the only honest place in Vegas that I have found is called Allied automotive located on desert inn just west of valley view. Terrible service, I came in today at 3:00pm to change all my brake pads on my 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution. It was a 2 hour wait stated by front desk person, so I sat there watching TV. Stayed there for an hour watching customers come in and out. Then a lady comes in wanting service for her Nissan Murano, she left her vehicle there too. My sister-in-law come pick me up to do errands. I come back at 5:30pm to see my car sitting in the same spot. And the Nissan Murano was in the Bay getting serviced. I was FURIOUS. But in a calm way. I told the front desk person, I been waiting for 2.5 hours and my car hasn't moved. I explained that the Nissan Murano came 1 hour after me and it's in your Bay getting serviced before my car, so in a nice way I just asked for my keys and said I'll bring my business somewhere else. Then a guy name Ken check the bay, got my keys and said i did come an hour before the Murano, and the mechanic name "D" got busy and past my car. One employee apologized and he was a new guy. However I also noticed in the Bay that all the cars were different when I came back. I'm not mad just disappointed considering 4.5 stars on yelp is given to this shop. Firestone need a better system for first come, first serve. So 1 star from me, who could of been a long life customer. Me being an Assistant Manager at a Major Casino. I went in today because the guy next door at AutoZone recommended me to go here for help putting my light in. The guy didn't seem friendly at all and wanted to charge me almost $90 to put a light in! He wouldn't use my light I just bought for $17. I asked him if could refer me to a place that could help but, that was no help either. Anyways I went up the street and this place changed my bulb in 2 minutes at no cost to me...I live right behind this place and if I ever need tires I would definitely not come back here for them or anything else for that matter because the guy was short, rude and not friendly! read more
