My daughter took her car here to get 2 new tires and alignment on all 4 tires. They didn't quote my daughter anything and made her sign for the work. My daughter is not really knowledgeable about cars or service and pricing on parts, so they charged her $500 for everything. I will also add that it was my daughter's fault for not getting the estimate for the tires, alignment, and service. Although I know that when you go somewhere to get work done on your car or any service you always ask for pricing etc. It's obvious that they were trying to rip her off, and they knew it. Judging from the reviews on here, this place is definitely not a good place to bring your car. I'd rather take it to place that is honest and cares about their customers. Worst customer service ever. I came in at opening (7am) for tires and was the first customer in line. I did not get out until 10:30am. Many customers after me came and went and they had more time consuming repairs. My car was lifted on jacks around 8am and the technicians did not start changing my tires until 9:45am. Not until I complained about the delay did the manager had the technician start the work. Also, the technician was sloppy and left my nice wheels full of some white stuff and greasy. He should had wiped off any excess junk. I noticed grease marks all over the quarter panels, handles, seats. This place sucks all-around. Avoid if possible. read more

I took my car in twice here they didn't have a chance to look at it the first time (but this happend before) I made an appointment for Friday at 330 to drop it off.. the second weekend I arranged to have them fix it they assured me it would be looked at by their new assistant Bernadette who I had a little trouble with from the start upon meeting her.. I asked her where Gil was ( who is usually the front desk man) she very rudely told me he didn't work there anymore and she was his wife and kinda gave the impression that I had some type of extra involvement besides being a loyal firestone customer from Watsonville, ca to milpitas, ca I always take my car here no matter what i drive. So aside from that i took my car in the second time again on a friday i showed up about 4pm bcuz my ride showing up was late outta work and i apologized. She said if they are not able to look at your car today ( friday 7-5-23) call up i wont be here saturday (7-6-23) and tell "tony" you need your car looked at so its done by sunday. I kinda felt like something was wrong. So i waited ( today is saturday and i just got off the phone with her) she said no one will look at your car bcuz it has a breathalizer in it and we need to call the company to by pass your system ( all you have to do is blow a negative test and it starts right up i wiped down all the parts with a baby wipe before turning the car into the service center) so i told her to start the vehicle the first thing that comes up on it is the number to the primary service provider for my interlock device she said pk hold please. I held on the phone for about 10 minutes before she got back on the phone( if they wouldve atleast attempted to look at my vehicle she wouldve seen this. She said ok i got the number and we hung up. She called m back about 5 minutes later and said i called the primary provider and they do not answer ( its a automated system unless you follow the directions to get to an operator they are open till 9pm it is now 3:34pm) long story short i will not ever take my car to another firestone where an old miserable lady works who puts you on the back burner. I also asked her if she was even capable or had the device needed to by pass the system or she could just blow in it. She stated no we need to speak to them directly so they know we are working on your vehicle. These are dishonest people. I come for a oil change. When I back home, I find that the oil is same brown color as before the "oil change" . They did not change the oil, all they did is collect your money. In addition, they told me that both of my air filtes are dirty and need to be replaced. I get here at 8am for a slow leak in one of my tires that I purchased at Firestone in Colorado. Service writer says 1 hour and I so okay. Gave him my receipts from the tire purchase and he wrote up a service ticket. I started to question this establishment because the service writer had more attention on what was on the tv instead of his customer. So while I'm sitting watching tv with 1 other guy. Other customers come in for service. Some left due to the quote times. Some stayed. I noticed cars going in and out of the service bays yet my car still sitting where I parked it. At this point. I've been there for 1.5 hours and my car has not been touched or even updated on any progress of what's happening in the shop. So I asked a tech for my keys. He goes and nd look for them. Not on the board where the pending jobs are to be done. He yells out in the shop. Who has the keys to the Pilot? No one answered. My keys and work order was on a table and not hung up on the board for pending service. So had I not asked for my keys. I would still be waiting. By the way. They do have sest covers and floor mats for the customers vehicles yet they do not care enough to use them. read more

So to start I wouldn't recommend these guys for anything other than tire install. I brought my 08 Armada for an alignment yesterday because I install new front tie rods and went in for an alignment, but got it back worse than how I came in. I use my lifetime alignment to try to save time and money but ended up going to a different shop to fix their mistakes. The shop I ended up going to told me that all the rear alignment bolts were loose and could have cause more damage or even an accident. Took my truck in for the final rotation before purchasing new tires from them. I had lifetime rotation and lifetime alignment. When dropping off the counter guy stated "your tires are a little cracked but we'll take care of you" my last Firestone balanced and even put tire dressing on the tires. After 2 hours got a call stating they cannot balance the tires because there cracked. I asked them to perform the alignment and they denied that service stating "can't align the truck due to the tires" WTF does that have to do with the tires. I told him it had nothing to do with the tires and he still said no. Came back to pick up the truck and waited in line for 10-15 minutes. Walked up seen my keys at the front of the counter and grabbed them and the counter guy didn't say a word to me. Not sorry for the inconvenience nothing. I bought a set of Bridgestone tires for my 1997 Toyota 4Runner because I wanted to upgrade from the OEM BF Goodrich set. I made a big mistake with going with this shop for installation, specifically for balancing. After I drove off after waiting almost 4 hours for installation, due to the slow arrival of supply truck, I noticed that the front tires were shaking anytime I drove faster than 55mph. At first I thought it may have been the South Bay freeways of 85, 680, and 880, but when I drove on roads I knew were completely smooth and flat, the truck still shook. I took my truck back to the shop the following week and explained the problem. The associate said that I should have purchased the extra protection protection for lifetime balancing, but would check on this problem as a courtesy. I was thinking, the tires are still under warranty, it's a Bridgestone set sold by a Firestone store, so complete resolution without cost should be applied. A different tire specialist worked on the truck and confirmed the balance was off. The front clerk admitted the same, and I drove off once again. Now, this time at 65mph or faster, the tires still shook! At this point, I've completely lost any trust and faith in this shop. I took my truck into Tech 3 for a major tune-up, including wheel balance, and it was found that all 4 wheels were 1 ounce off being true. After I drove off this time, the truck drove as expected - smooth and problem free. I will never go back to this store ever again. I made the mistake of not reading previous reviews, solely going there for the Bridgestone brand. I don't know how much accountability and responsibility this shop has, but I was definitely not a satisfied customer. read more

There aren't many places where you can get lifetime wheel allignment, which attracted me to this place a couple of years ago. For $80 you can get a one time allignment, but for about $140 you can get as many allignments done as needed. Pretty good deal, especially if you drive hard. Changing my own oil would cost me about $15 for the oil, filter, time and messiness. Bring in coupons or apply for the member card here and they can change your oil for less than $20...worth it if you don't have the time to get dirty. The mechanics here are diligent and experienced enough to touch my car. The sales staff is very sincere and, of course, you'll get the occasional sales pitch on preventative care. It's a good idea to call in before coming in to check how long it would take to get something done. They can get really busy, but when they say they'll finish the job in 1hour, they're pretty good in keeping their promised time. To make my waiting experience worthwhile, I sometimes go to the Dollar Tree accross the street or grub at the nearby restaurants. One time it was just too busy, and i had to wait extra long, so they gave me a coupon for a free oil change on my next visit. They wanted me to leave with a smile...and yes I left with a smile. read more

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why this place has such low reviews! I've been here a few times, and each time, I've had a very smooth, pleasant experience. It seems like every time I've been here, I've been in some sort of jam, where every other tire store couldn't do it, but Firestone could. This day was just the same. I got a flat, and I needed it fixed right away. The place I usually take it was swamped, so they sent me down the road to this other place that said my tire is hard to find, and that I probably would have to special order it, no matter where I go. He said he could do it, but the tire wouldn't come in until the next day. And, he seemed to think I would find the same situation wherever I go. But I've been in this place before and Firestone was able to help me, so I headed to Firestone. I go in, get waited on right away, by a friendly guy who tells me a funny tire story that was pretty entertaining. He writes up my service order. Tells me the car will be done in about an hour. I go next door to Starbucks, take out my laptop, sip on my latte, and before you know it, Bob calls me (I'm calling him "Bob", I don't actually remember his name) and I pick up my car and drive off into the sunset. No hassles. No rip-offs. No attitude. Just friendly, efficient, professional service. To all the haters of Firestone, I don't understand you. Are you going to the same location as I am? Are you delusional? Have you been drinking? Come to find out, Big O Tire of Pleasanton used the wrong kind of brake pads. Had to replace the pads and the rotors. Not even 8k miles on thoes brakes. This makes me wonder about their credibility in their recommendations. I asked them when was the last time I did a certain service and all they have, according to the person who answered, was an oil change. I get now why they only have two stars. The workers are all rude and impatient even though they have you wait forever. I got here at 8am, was in line until 8:45 with phones ringing constantly and getting no answer, delays for no reason explained even though it was only me and 2 other people in line. First of all let me start by saying the only reason I come here is because the company I work for is contracted with Firestone so we bring our work cars here. The first time I brought the vehicle here was for an oil change. They didn't put the plastic piece on the bottom of my car back on right and as I was driving later in the day it fell off and began scraping on the floor. I called them to ask them to fix it and they said it was somehow my fault that it fell off but still agreed to fix it. The second time was because the window stopped rolling down. I brought it in for repair and the guy at the desk told me it would be $20 to see what the problem was and we could go from there. I agreed but when I came back the next day as planned they said to give them $150 instead of $20 and told me blatantly that I was lying about the other guy telling me $20. My third experience here I came in for a flat tire which ended up taking 4 DAYS to repair. When it was finally ready for pick up I realized the battery was completely dead. Apparently they had turned on the vehicles lights and couldn't figure out how to turn them off so they just left them on for 4 days and let the battery drain. They jump started it for me and I was on my way but now the battery is in really bad shape and the car struggles to turn on. They took months if not years off the batteries life letting it drain like that. Also every employee I have had to deal with here is extremely rude. This is by far the worse place you could possibly go to for any sort of car repair. Stay far far away from this Firestone, or any Firestone for that matter! read more

That should have been my first red flag. I go off and come back 3 hours later, only to be told they hadn't even started ony car, and it would take 2 more hours. How about a phone call to tell your customers you are significantly delayed?? Ever heard of those? Got out of there without any work done, and 3 hours of my day wasted. I came in a few minutes before 10am. My car got checked in and I was given a ETC if 1.5 to 2 hours because according to the man behind the counter, they have 12-15 cars in front of me. I was out of there the latest by 10:15am. I went about my errands and came back by 1:10pm. I noticed that my car was in the same parking spot and it looked like it did not move at all. I went inside their waiting area and waited for a few minutes while thinking if the car has not been started yet, I'll be twiddling my thumbs for a long time in their waiting area. I asked the man behind the counter (According to my estimate paper, his name is Paul) how many more minutes before my car is ready. He tells me: 45min to 1 hour. I went back to sit down but couldn't sit still. I asked Paul again if the car has not been started. He tells me: No, not yet. I told him I would just like to get my car back. He's had the car for 3 hours, almost double of the estimated time he quoted me. I told him he quoted me 1.5 to 2 hours. He tells me there's no way he quoted me that time because he has 20-30 cars in front me. He would not lie to me like that. In my head, you're lying to me now. I tell him, it's ok. Just give me my car back. He underestimated the waiting time, he lies to me, and then he makes me out to be the liar. I hate it when crappy men pulls that crap on me! He could have just apologized for underestimating the time and not turn it around and call me a liar. If I come back here, I'll make sure first that he is not the service advisor on duty. read more

The firestone representative told me it will take 1.5 hours. I was told ~45minutes on the phone prior to booking an appointment. When I brought that up he started talking down to me how other dealerships and mechanics in the region keep the car for several hours if not days, and even then when you go back they are just drinking coffee. They do not value your time and take in more cars than they can handle. Even with an appointment I waited 1 hour 20 minutes simply to get my car in the shop for the tire rotation/ alignment which in itself took 10-12 minutes. At the end of it, they gave me a sheet to show the alignment for each tire and voila, the alignment did not even pass all the tests! When I asked about it, I was given a ton of humbug reasons. I should have checked Yelp before I took our car to Firestone Complete Auto Care for an oil change. As I'm very particular with our 2011 Prius, I had bought both a high quality oil filter and high quality synthetic oil. I asked if they could change the oil and filter using my parts. "No problem" they said. So I left the Prius there at 8:30 AM on a weekday. When I still had not received a phone call by 4:30 PM (8 hours later), I called and inquired about the status of the oil change. A confused individual then didn't know anything about it, but after a wait he told me "It's on the board still". Evidently in their mind, being "on the board" indicates that all is well. So I waited until 5:35 PM, and then went in as they close at 6 PM and I did not want our car to remain in "on the board" status overnight and deprive us of meeting my sister. When I got there, our Prius was still "on the board", but now the waiting area had four separate individuals waiting for their vehicles and the service bays were full of cars. Looked grim. When I then talked with the (same) clerk, his immediate reply was "It's on the board". I asked when it would be ready, and his reply was "MAYBE 6:30". Maybe. I then said, "But you close at 6 PM". He gave me a vague reply that I took to mean that they might not close, but again -- he didn't promise it. I took our car and am now looking for another service to change my oil. Avoid.
