Super rude customer service! A nail punctured my tire and I just needed a patch, called them and asked if I could come in. The guy answering the hone was extremely rude and assumed I wanted it done right away or something. He raised his voice saying I have to drop it at the shop and come back when it's ready and hung up on me. This guy needs to be fired. Lots of tire shops around here guys! I should have checked Yelp before I took our car to Firestone Complete Auto Care for an oil change. As I'm very particular with our 2011 Prius, I had bought both a high quality oil filter and high quality synthetic oil. I asked if they could change the oil and filter using my parts. "No problem" they said. So I left the Prius there at 8:30 AM on a weekday. When I still had not received a phone call by 4:30 PM (8 hours later), I called and inquired about the status of the oil change. A confused individual then didn't know anything about it, but after a wait he told me "It's on the board still". Evidently in their mind, being "on the board" indicates that all is well. So I waited until 5:35 PM, and then went in as they close at 6 PM and I did not want our car to remain in "on the board" status overnight and deprive us of meeting my sister. When I got there, our Prius was still "on the board", but now the waiting area had four separate individuals waiting for their vehicles and the service bays were full of cars. Looked grim. When I then talked with the (same) clerk, his immediate reply was "It's on the board". I asked when it would be ready, and his reply was "MAYBE 6:30". Maybe. I then said, "But you close at 6 PM". He gave me a vague reply that I took to mean that they might not close, but again -- he didn't promise it. I took our car and am now looking for another service to change my oil. Avoid. Don't trust these fucks! Took my truck in for loud grinding noise. They diagnosed it as right rear wheel bearings. They were short handed line always and couldn't fix. I ended up taking it to their sister company wheel works. I gave them the diagnosis from fire stone and they did the job. Got my car back and it was still making the same exact noise. Those fucks just guessed and mi diagnosed my truck.I had to fight with both company's to get my money back, but they wouldn't do anything about the 3 days they had my truck. I brought my truck in for an alignment and oil change at 12:30 PM. I was told the work would be completed by 2:20 pm. I called at 2:20 pm and they had not even put the truck up on the rack. I was told that some online appointments took precedence. I asked why I was not told that at the time I came in at 12:30. The manager told me he could not possibly know--he said he doesn't know what is in the system. I find that hard to believe. With a 3 hour wait, I only got an oil change. What a waste of time on a Saturday. The service writers lack integrity and they act irresponsibly. Worst experience ever. Had an appointment today at 2pm for 2 front tires and they said that my car should be ready in 1 1/2 hours. 3:30 comes and they haven't even started on my car and the manager stated that they will start on my car next. Came back around 5:45 and guess what, they even hasn't started doing the work. I told the manager to give my keys and I just left the premises. There is also a lady inside the waiting area upset because she had an appointment at 10am and her car was not even done and it's almost 6pm. Ridiculous. As a somewhat frequent customer, I felt the responsibility to leave a review. I've only dealt with the front desk once, and the representative was quick in dealing with processing my request. I feel they have good customer service as they respond to phone calls quickly, but they have mediocre mechanical service. I'm no car guy at all, but my brother who has extensive knowledge felt that he was totally ripped off on his visits here. Also, be prepared for long wait times and service hours. I had a slow leak in one of my tires so my step-dad suggested that I go here to get it patched up, something like this should cost about $10.00. So I go in and tell them my situation. The sales clerk checked out my tire and suggested that I just get a new tire...SURPIRSE SURPRISE! So a potentially $10 fix turns into a $90 tire purchase. I tell the guy that I don't have the cash for that right now and a patch up will be fine for now. He then replies," Well it's not really worth patching up, you should just get a new tire" TRANSLATION: "I'm too lazy to try and find a tiny leak, especially for 10 bucks, if you just buy a new tire, it'll be worth my while." I explain once again that I do not have the money for a new tire, times are rough! He and his manager suggest that I get a Firestone Credit Card so I'll have 3 months to pay it off... A CREDIT CARD?! Yeah I really want to open up another credit card. The manager really tries to talk me into it saying that credit cards are great when you don't have money but you know you will in the future...then he says that it's not really a credit card. EXCUSE ME?! If you have to apply it's a credit card, if the card has an APR it's a credit card, and finally if the APR is 24% its a ridiculous one at that. Needless to say I refused the credit card. The sales guy then says I should just keep filling my tire with air until I have the money to buy a new tire. SCAM ARTIST. I wouldn't even call them sales people, they straight up lie to get a sales. We go outside to get the odometer reading and he does a quick look at my tires. Once we're inside, he tries to sell me on the lifetime tire alignment saying that my car needs it. First off, I've been here before and they are trying so hard to sell this. Second, once the complementary service check was done, they stated that my tires were perfect. I thought to myself, "didn't the worker just tell me I needed my tires aligned?" Not only was this bad, they quote you one price and sell you a much higher price. When you mention what they previously quoted you, they become defensive and start blaming others and even directed the blame at us (the customer). Never listen to their deals and know what you want before going in. It's sad, but they probably know nothing about cars and try to take advantage of people. I will never be bringing my car here again and also telling all of my friends and family who go here about this incident and they'll probably leave as well. I couldn't believe that this business still exists given that they put their customer's lives in jeopardy on the road. I came here for a flat tire on Saturday and waited 3 hours. I was told it has been completed, so I signed the paper and left. A few days later, my tire's pressure warning light came on. I checked the tire and the nail was still there, at the very same position, I was shocked. I called them and asked what's going on, the guy picked up the phone told me ... (excuse) ".... Oh, our technician couldn't find your wheel lock and so they just put the tire back on". I told them I was there for 3 hours and I saw the technician took the wheel off, so the wheel lock was given to them, except nothing was done. Obviously they admitted that they didn't do anything and ask me to come back if I wish. These people are just very dishonest, they lie without a blink. About a year or two ago, my front brakes needed work. The guy at the counter up-sells this brakes-for-life service - I forget what the price was, somewhere upwards of $500 if I remember - where they'll replace your brake pads for the life of your car. Well, lo and behold, I brought my car in a few months ago to get the brakes replaced. About 30 minutes after I left, they called to let me know that in order to change the brakes, they would have to change the rotors too. Which, coincidentally, were not part of the brakes-for-life package. They told me that the rotors were too badly worn and couldn't be resurfaced, which means I'd have to shell out over $200 to get my free brakes. So I take my car to Foreign Affair instead (I'd been going here for a while now, but came back to Firestone to redeem my "free brake job"). They inspect my brakes, and note that the brake pads need to be changed, but the rotor still had enough material for a resurface. So of course, I'm older and wiser now, and consider the original brake job I got at Firestone to be a super expensive learning lesson. I'm mad that Firestone would pull a scheme like this, and lie to me, but.. I guess you get what you pay for. I wish there was a way to leave a 0 stars rating. read more

I HATE THESE GUYS. DON'T EVER COME HERE. EVER. So I came here a couple weeks ago because my grandfather bought all 4 tires on my car from here 3 years ago. They have this warranty where if something happens to your tires within the 5 years you have them, they will replace the tires for you for free. NOT!!!! One of the tires on my car popped while I was driving on the freeway and I asked them to replace it. I showed them the warranty and they said that my tire getting popped was MY FAULT AND THAT I HAD TO PAY $110. $110 FOR ONE STUPID TIRE!!!! Not to mention, the guy that told me it would cost $110 to replace my tire was trying to get me to pay for other inspections, checks, car oil change, and other stuff that I didn't need. I seriously wanted to tell that guy to STFU and that all I wanted was for them to replace my tire, and that's it. TOTAL RIP OFF. After having my tire replaced there, everything seemed fine until I drove home from work today. I literally live 5 minutes away from work and I could walk if I wanted to, but with the weather being cold and rainy, I don't think so. I started the ignition of my car and when I started backing out, and my car was making weird noises. When I tried turn my steering wheel, it was shaking and at times was a bit difficult to make the simplest of turns. I went home to look at the reciept to see if the guys at Firestone had re-aligned my tires and putting in the new tire only to find out THEY DIDN'T. IN CONCLUSION: NEVER COME HERE TO GET YOUR CAR REPAIRED. EVER. YOU'RE BETTER OFF GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY WON'T RIP YOU OFF AND WILL DO A GOOD JOB OF REPAIRING YOUR CAR. Never go to Firestone especially this one. Besides changing tires, they are not capable of fixing any problems. I waited for 5 days for them to tell me the reason why my car could't start. They told me the computer module was burned and charged me $85 for diagnose cost. They suggested me tow to a dealer to replace a new one ( cost more than $1000, I think) Later on I sent my car to Curtesy Auto nearby (this guy is really good). They found the problem was starter in an hour and replaced a new one for less than $100. read more

BEWARE OF AN UP-SELLER MICHAEL IN THIS LOCATION, NEVER GO THERE AS FAR AS HE IS THE MANAGER OF THIS FACILITY. YOU WILL BE ROBBED.... BE WARNED!!! I have been with Firestone Auto since 2007 way back from NJ where I moved from to CA. Before moving to Milpitas, I used to go to their Campbell location and I never experienced any annoying up-selling experience there. In fact their manager and service techs are so genuine and recommend only things that is necessary. Even if I ask to get something proactively, after inspecting they discourage me from getting it done as it is not necessary. Like other reviewers said, Michael who is the manager at Milpitas Location is an up-selling freak. I will never ever go to this Milpitas facility again, I will reconsider Firestone Auto care in whole after today. I went there today for a regular routine oil change. My car is a Nissan Sentra 2006 and done only 51000 miles on it. While I came back home after leaving the car for service and oil change I got a call from Michael saying that my front brakes are failing and need immediate replacement with a list of explanation to the problem. While I am not fully convinced with this all BS stories, I decided to go with his recommendation as it is 8 year old car that my wife is driving it most of the time, I said OK change breaks, rotters etc. Then comes the battery, I never ever had any issue with battery even though the battery is a factory installed one that is 8 year old. Considering the age of battery I agreed to change the battery as well though I knew he is up-selling. After a while he called again to report a break fluid leak supposed to be from one of the screw that holding fluid with another price tag of ONLY $89. I said there was not a single drop leak from my car from anywhere until today I drop the car in this facility. Knowing by the history that I used this car in NJ, he comes up with a story that it might have rusted because of snow in NJ, not because one of their technician snapped it today. Top of that he says that the entire bottom of the car is rusted so badly because of snow... well Michael I know my car, I know the condition of it before I gave it in your hands. Good thing you didn't suggest me to total the car and buy a new one. If you had a dealership, I am pretty sure you would have suggested me to get a new one. I figured out something is not right after I got the last call for that $89 part and thought it is kind of up-selling style used by some crooks. So I decided to look for yelp review. Boy, I was damn right, this jerk Michael is after his sales commission. Beware of this guy and do your home work before you hit this place. Now I think the whole break and battery story was just to make some sales and I don't trust this place anymore. Anyways, to make it short and simple, beware of this location. It has an up-selling freak who makes a lot of money for Firestone. I am sure he is the best employee of the month pretty much every month :) So my supposed to be under $150 service today went up to $1,200.00. Top of that Michael conveniently forgot to do wheel alignment and balancing and I believe that is because it is supposed to be free as I paid for the lifetime balancing and alignment and he might not be able to add anything to the invoice today. Now I have to make another appointment for that, definitely not in this location!!! Once I paid the invoice he gave me the key. I asked where is the car parked and he said "in the parking lot... some where...." what a great customer service!!! The reason I asked for that I did not find it in the parking lot on the side and front of the store when I walked in. Anyways I found the car NOT in the parking lot but besides the dumping station. I came here today after getting off work in between picking my kiddos up from daycare. I arrived at 2 pm and let them know I would like an oil change and the man helping me was very nice and told me two hours. Awesome! I told him perfect because I couldn't be later than 445! He told me he put a note to make sure it was completed at 430 just in case. I walked to Starbucks and waited... and waited... and WAITED.... he called AT 430 to tell me they hadn't started yet and it wouldn't be don't until 450, then asks if I still wanted it done.... seriously? If you couldn't make your own time restraints then DON'T commit. It wasn't the fact that it took so long, it was the fact that he told me a timeline I was relying on. By them doing this it costed me more money because of my childcare. I get it that I could have said no, but my time is very valuable to me and how could I wait 2 1/2 hours with NOTHING to show for it. This place is very incompetent, the techs/service reps do not communicate will with each other, leading to repeat phone calls for the same issue with different techs, and their customer service is overly polite yet no one there will go a step out of their way to make your life easier, so you have to push them along at every step of the way. I first like to say that I like Firestone in general and have had good experiences with Firestone in other cities I have lived, and that's why I brought my car to the Firestone in Milpitas. Here's my experience: My flat tire light went on, so I made an appointment at Firestone (I have runflats). Fine, 5 stars so far. I told them I thought it was probably the right rear tire because I had measured the pressure before I brought the car in and that one was low. They found a little gash in the front right and repaired it for $40. Still fine, maybe 4 stars because I still thought something was wrong with the right rear but they said it wasn't. My flat tire light went on again. I called Firestone and made another appointment. I had to insist that I wanted them to physically remove the tires from the rims and check them that way because otherwise they would just spray soapy water on the tires again and probably say nothing was wrong. They found a crack in *surprise, surprise* the right rear rim. But for some reason they can't order the part. I had to call BMW and order the part myself and convince BMW to deliver it to Firestone. 3 stars, because I shouldn't have to do half the work myself. BMW's customer service is great, they offer to deliver the rim to Firestone at no additional cost, and it will get there in two days (BMW gets 5 stars). The day before the rim is gonna get to Firestone I get a call from a different tech at Firestone around 6pm, wanting to know if I was gonna pick up my car that day before they closed. This was after the tech the day before had told me I was REQUIRED to leave my car there until the rim arrived because it was unsafe to drive and they wouldn't let it off the lot. Of course he didn't tell that to the guy in charge the next day. The next day the rim was put on and I got my car back. 2 stars for that nonsense, it just illustrates how incompetent they are. Today the lead weights they used to balance the new rim fell off. Just fell right off while the car was in my driveway, not even driving. I just called Firestone to see if they could do a quick rebalance today while I waited. It's not unreasonable to think that because I had my wheels balanced literally 2 days ago, and their shoddy balancing job FELL OFF, they would be able to squeeze me in somewhere, right? Nope, they're too busy. I tried to make an appointment for another day but the tech said he's too busy to make my appointment right now (REALLY?!?!), and he'll call me right back. 1 star Milpitas Firestone, your service and customer service is shoddy and you lack professionalism bigtime. read more

DO NOT take your car to this Firestone, they over charge and try to sell you service you don't need. My 24 year old daughter took her 1999 Toyota Camry here yesterday and George helped her. The car wouldn't start and she was told she needed spark plugs changed and fuel system cleaned which would be $573.93. Of course they had a coupon for $100 off. They also told,her all 4 tires needed to be replaced, she needed new front and rear brakes, new struts and shocks, alignment all costing $4,800. My daughter agreed to the spark plug and fuel filter which ended up costing her $663 not the original $473 which was quoted. When my daughter brought her car home to Tracy she was in fear and crying because the mechanic had her so convienced her car was unsafe to drive. This morning I took her car to Les Schwab here in Tracy and they confirmed her brakes were perfectly fine, she only needed 2 tires at a cost of $150. She did néed new struts and shocks but Lea Schwab cost was only $800 vs. $1500 at Firestone. Tge alignment was free vs. $150 at Firestone. Bottom line: Firestone in Milpitas total quote for items the car did and definitely did not need $3200. Les Schwab quote for items car truly needed $1,020. I feel that Firestone tried to take advantage of a young woman, put her in fear for her life if she didn't get work done immediately and grossly overcharged her on a tune up that should have only cost $300. I went to Firestone to get one of my cargo vans repaired the other day. The person who helped me is Eric Pao. He was the rudest person I have ever met in my life! He asked me what kind of car it was, and I said it was either a dodge or a chevy cargo van,and that I wasn't too sure because I have over 6 cargo vans. He rolled his eyes at me and went to check on my car. It turned out to be a Chevy. He then asked me what year is the car. Again, I said I wasn't too sure because I have a lot of cargo vans. He then gave me a stupid look and went outside to check the year on my car. Just as he was walking out to the garage, the door in back of him did not fully close yet, and he said "this idiot doesn't know what year his car is." Never in my life had I felt so insulted or belittled. I was extremely appalled by his lack of professionalism and as a manager he should've been understanding and helpful, instead he was the complete opposite. I stormed out of the store frustrated and ready to cause a scene. But one of the mechanics, I think this name is Phuc calmed me down and apologized on the behalf of Eric. I was still upset but really needed to repair my tire so I went back in and paid for the tire. I was very surprised that one of the workers was a lot more professional and and accommodating towards me than the MANAGER!! I could tell he was super busy, but he had a great attitude, super knowledgeable and took time to get to know me a bit, which was cool. Got my Mazda serviced from this service station , disappointed with the overall work that was carried out. Second bitter experience in a row. First time had my car serviced , came back home and the battery went dead. Thought to give them a second chance , got the tires replaced and a regular maintenance done, discovered that the break lights wont go off, the indicators dont turn on. Somebody needs to really do a thorough inspection before the final delivery to the customer. It seems either there are less technicians and more of cars packed up. We do not go here anymore. Took my van here for a simple tire change. They broke the foot brake cable and gave it back broken. The bad part was they did not say anything about it breaking. Hella ridiculous!!!!!.. Brought my car here cuz my tire maintenance light was on and they said my tires was ok still .. So I just did em tire alignment and rotation. When I was bout to leave [havent even left the parking lot still.. ] my maintenance light was still on so I asked the guy if he needed to reset it or something this fool straight up told me "I don't know go check the car manual" are you effin kidding me?!? This place is straight up junk!! NEVER EVER GO HERE!!!!!! Too bad it's not possible to give negative or no stars. This is a separate review, in addition to the one posted in 2014. This morning my 18 year old son made an 8am appointment to have a tire repair due to a screw in his tire. Knowing that since he's young and this is the first time he's had to deal with anything repair related to his car I warned him before he left to not let them sell him anything else and that they would try to take advantage of him. Sure enough they did try. He was first pitched every service they have, then forced to wait an hour and a half only to be told they could not plug the tire because all four of his one year old tires are cracked and he needed to buy new ones. As he then called me to tell me this and ask what he should do he was overheard buy the useless waste behind the counter who interrupted him and said they could do the repair after all. I'm sorry, but what kind of BS is this? This is the second in my experience time they have lied to up charge on services that are not actually needed and take advantage of customers. Who knows how many times they actually get away with doing this. Why do people even go here still? Better yet, why is this place still in business? The only reason my son went here and not Pacific Tire Outlet on Main St. was because he was able to make an online appointment and thought he would be in and out quickly. Having an appointment is a joke, you still wait just as long. He is still there waiting for the screw to be pulled out of his tire and the hole plugged. I'm sure there's plenty of time and opportunity for them to come up with more lies and scare tactics to attempt to up sell him into some unneeded service or part, good thing he has a bit of common sense and can pick up in that. My husband had a nail on the left back tire, so he researched different places for good deal on tires. Sure enough, he called up this Firestone and spoke to James, the Owner. James was very professional with my husband and this was our package deal: We purchased lifetime alignment for $139. The tires my husband bought was buy 3 and get one free deal (this is the deal right now). The tires ended up about $300, pretty good deal. They also have an ASE certified mechanic on site. My husband's tire was done in about an hour, we shopped at Target nearby while we waited. May I also add that my husband observed from a distant, a mechanic explaining to a lady about her car. He told me the mechanic was honest and legit about the problems that he was explaining to the lady. Being a female myself, I am VERY annoyed with MOST CAR PLACES AND ELECTRONIC PLACES, but no more. I'm educating myself in these areas by my husband so I can tell off the guys that rip women off. Rawr! One more thing, when you purchased the lifetime alignment, you can take in another car and get a $20 discount off of that car so instead of buying $139, you'd only pay $119 for the lifetime alignment deal. read more

My mom has been going here for years but I had never personally until one morning I found the tire maintenance light on. I walked in and said what was going on with my car and he told me to just pull up behind a car in the shop and they would check my tire pressure. The worker came up to my car and put air in all of my tires instantly! I didn't have to wait around or anything. I was really pleased with their customer service. Nice guys for sure.
