Sadly, this wasn't as good as the first time. The service and food was sub par. Service: once we were sat, it took awhile for our server ttb come out to ask us what we wanted to drink. We enjoyed our first time here because the food was great. This time around the seasonal menu lacked excitement. We ordered the breakfast sandwich, classic Benedict, and a side of biscuits and gravy. The sandwich and biscuits and gravy came out first. I took a bite of the biscuits and gravy and it was cold. I thought I had to mix it up but I took another bite and it was still cold. My bf took a bite if his potatoes and it was also cold. I don't get how a restaurant that just opened, has cold food? Did they make a large batch and just let it sit there? Do they not have warming lamps in the back? The server took the biscuits and gravy back to make another batch. I finally got my classic Benedict (it was actually warm). Usually classic Benedict doesn't come with tomatoe but this one did. I thought it would make it refreshing but it didn't help with the taste. It was very bland. The poached egg wasn't runny. There was baRely and hollandaise sauce. Seemed like they just Plopped the sliced ham on. Overall, it wasn't seasoned well. We got out biscuits and gravy back, and it was slightly warmer. They could have just microwaved it would have been fine. I don't know what they did back there. Will we come again? Sure, but if the service and food lackec gas sin, we will not be. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while now. Having eaten there, I cannot believe I waited so long! Industrial Farmhouse style decor, a bit eclectic, turned out both fun & charming. I can't remember the name of the dish that I ordered. However, it was the omelette in the square because it was so popular. Served with avocado, Pico de gallo & sour cream, whole grain toast & your choice of potatoes or greens with an amazing vinaigrette. I, also, ordered the Morning Meditation drink, super yummy & healthy. My husband ordered Turkey sausage gravy with biscuits, eggs & potatoes and the Kale Tonic. The ham tasted like grocery store deli meat. The pancakes though were spot on. I had the chocolate variety and it was really good. Like you could taste melted chocolate when you cut into it. I also tasted the carrot cake and pecan variety and it was also really good. They had a bunch of healthy breakfast options that looked interesting. Decor keeps in line with the franchise. This location has a warm host and waitstaff. Food is consistent with every other First Watch I've patronized. I was disappointed that I was served old, mushy and wilted greens with my salad. I discovered after taking a few bites and noticing a very odd texture and mouth feel. I saw greens that should have been thrown out a week ago in my salad. I'd return, but inspect everything ahead of eating much more thoroughly. Manager reached out to me and said she would send a gc. I have gone 3 times and placed 1 to-go order. The wait after being seated the first two times were ridiculous. We had to keep flagging down waitresses to even figure out who our waiter was. The third time wasn't a long wait because we came right at opening. The food, however, is fresh and amazing. Hopefully the service improves, because the food is worth a visit. This is the second time I've left a bad review for First Watch. The first one being in League City. I left a one-star review and received a gift card from the manager for me to try them again. Went back and had the same issues; horribly slow service, basic food items not cooked right (eggs) and the longest wait ever for food. The Baytown location was no different. My friend, her infant and I went here for breakfast one day and I was hoping this experience would "make up" for the bad breakfast at the LC location. It did not. Frankly, it was worse. My friend and I had zero problems (other than waiting 10 minutes to initially have someone take our drink orders) until the food came out. My friend ordered the salmon eggs Benedict and her eggs were not cooked right. They were almost hard-boiled instead of the standard poached that traditionally comes with eggs Benedict. She sent them back reluctantly and what she received back was two eggs that were so under-cooked that the yolk was still gooey. Our waitress giggled a little when we asked for the food to be taken off of our bill and said that depending on the day, "eggs were a hit or miss" at First Watch. Cool, so your chef can't cook basic eggs. Good to know. I ordered the egg white omelet. Although cooked well, it had no seasoning (not salt or pepper) and was the blandest thing I've ever tasted. I could have made this at home (with seasonings) and saved 10$. The orange juice was fresh and the coffee was delicious. Unfortunately, I've given First Watch too many chances. The service is deplorable and apparently the chef can't cook basic eggs. Sorry First Watch, guess I'll stick to The Egg and I in Clear Lake. Both of your locations have let me down. Also, don't come here on the weekends. You'll wait for over an hour for bland food. read more

Prices are a bit more than other places like IHOP, but the food is a step up, just not as much as you might expect. Also be aware that any extras and most substitutions are uncharged. First Watch has been only open for a week but you wouldn't guess that when you walk in. I stopped for brunch this morning and ordered the Tri Athlete, which is an egg white omelet, fruit, and toast. Everything tasted great and was cooked perfectly with no issues. My boyfriend also had an omelet and he enjoyed it as well. It has a very "farm to table" vibe and the decor is really cute and aesthetically pleasing. The waitstaff are extremely helpful and check if you need anything periodically without being overbearing. Kind of a bummer for our first experience. Came on a Sunday at lunch time...called as we were pulling in the parking lot to see about wait time and the hostess told us there was no wait. Pulled in and was up at the door within 5 min of call and lady at the front said it was a 30 minute wait. No problem, people could have showed up in those couple minutes. We get seated and we ordered immediately. Our waitress takes our order and doesn't come back by the table for 45 min. Another guest next to us (who came in after us) with the same waitress ended up leaving because her meal was taking so long. We see people who came in behind us start to get our food and finally when we can find our waitress, we ask about our meals. She says, "oh let me check on them." When she comes back, she says that a while back another waiter took our meals to another table and she'll put our order back in and it'll be another 15 min. In total it took an hour and 10 min to get our food after we had to ask about it. By then, the place was half empty. We had a pretty specific order..a couple substitutions and different sides. Seems like the other table would have noticed the different order. The manager did come out and explain the situation and take care of our meal which was appreciated. Our waitress didn't seem too concerned about our wait and gave a half hearted "sorry about that," as we left. We enjoyed the food when we got it so that was a plus!
