Finally made it in for a meal and was pleasantly surprised that there was only a 5 min wait on a Saturday afternoon. It the space seemed bigger on the inside than I was expecting. Our server was vary friendly and attentive. I decided to order the Eggs Benedict Classic which was very tasty. I got the fresh greens instead of potatoes in an effort to keep my meal "healthier ". Not gonna lie, the potatoes looked delicious. I'll get them on next visit. Anyway, the meal was very tasty and I loved the presentation. I wasn't a huge fan of the vinaigrette dressing that was severed on the greens, it was just ok. All and all, I enjoyed my first visit to First Watch and will return. read more

First Watch was reviewed by one of my Yelper's Dana L. and along with it's being newer place in town, it sounded like a place I would like to visit. While I was in the area and had some time to kill I made the plunge and swung into the First Watch parking lot. The day was rainy as it so much has been this 2019 first quarter year. A nice day to have a good breakfast, although it was afternoon I wanted breakfast. First Watch's atmosphere is quaint, somewhat contemporary, open design, very spacious looking and lots of light. I was seated quit quickly and presented a menu and asked if I wanted something to drink. Staff seems dedicated to good service. Coffee, Please! Coffee was quite good, they leave the carafe. I liked the Dunkin style coffee. I reviewed the menu and being somewhat old fashion, a similar trend of higher prices I typically don't like to see kind of stood out, but times are changing and I just have to get used to it. Eating healthy is slightly more costly than greasy spoons type restaurant and First Watch is probably a higher quality, healthier style meals. Many of the items looked healthy and different from your typical eggs and bacon, however they do offer those as well. I did order the Traditional but had the turkey sausage instead of my usual go to bacon. It was not long and my meal arrived pipping hot and appetizing. The eggs were over easy and perfect, the whole grain toast was lightly buttered and toasted just right, potatoes looked appeasing and sausages were done just right. Taste wise it all was tasty and delicious. I was soon asked how everything was and if I needed anything else, but size wise was just the right amount without feeling too stuffed. I asked for a go cup for coffee and was quickly accommodated with a smile. Now I'm glad I got my basic breakfast out of the way because I am intrigued to return and try some of their other meals. This has become one of our favorites since we first discovered it. Now my step-mother-in-law and mother-in-law both enjoy it as well. I have tried several of the menu items, and have not been disappointed in any of them. Most recently the brisket hash breakfast, which was excellent and very filling. My favorite, though, are the farm stand tacos with the black beans. They are oh so good. We usually go there on Sunday mornings, and if you are early enough there isn't much of a wait, but don't hold off too long as they get pretty busy. Still the turnaround is fairly quick. First Watch has been on my "want to visit" list for months now. While making a trip to Clarksville yesterday I finally had brunch at the establishment. I love the wide open spaces, the decor, and the menu. It has a very new feel, which makes me want to visit again. The staff is very helpful, especially the gentleman who brought me my to-go cup and box. My waitress gave great suggestions and worked well with my specific dietary needs. For my meal I had the eggs benedict, hold the bread. The eggs were poached perfectly, but the best part was the fresh, ripened tomato slices. Probably the best tomatoes I've had in a restaurant. However, I do think that the eggs themselves could have used a bit more seasoning and the hollandaise could have been more flavorful. Overall I was impressed. I also had a large side of fruit, which was very fresh and better than any other restaurant I've been to. I was told that they get fresh produce in every day and I believe it, because their produce was the best part. The coffee was good, but I think that it'd be even better if they'd start carrying almond milk, coconut milk, natural sweeteners, etc. to add to drinks. I know not everyone uses these, but it'd be fitting for the kind of restaurant it is. I really like this place and will visit again next time in Clarksville. I went to this Clarksville location about a month ago during the weekday for breakfast. The restaurant offers a very spacious space with high ceilings and lots of seating and plenty of room between tables, booths, etc. I was promptly greeted and immediately seated. It was raining that day and the floor was a bit slippery to the point I had to pay attention to each step I take. So be aware if it's raining during your visit. The menu selection is vast without offering way too much. I ordered: Ham and Gruyere Cheese Omelet A single Buttermilk Pancake Million Dollar Bacon When trying a new breakfast spot I automatically order bacon and pancakes, in addition to what I really want. It sounds and definitely looks greedy when the individual plates are brought to my table and the condiments have to be removed or scooted over to make room for all my food. But hey, bacon and pancakes are very important and necessary; therefore, a taste test is a must. I absolutely LOVED the omelet. The eggs tasted incredibly fresh, the ham was really tender, flavorful, and plentiful. The gruyere cheese (which I've never had before) was a perfect finish. The bacon was cooked perfectly and did in fact taste delicious - worth the taste test. The pancakes were good, but not fluffy like IHOP. The coffee was delicious and they offer flavored creamers, which is a huge plus for me. Another reviewer mentioned parking being a challenge. I didn't have a problem finding a space, but I can see how a busier morning would result in parking issues. I would definitely return and recommend First Watch. read more

If your kiddos don't eat a lot have them share on kids order. We had the French toast and the Quinoa bowl which also were great. Totally tasty breakfast spot! Everything was fresh and made to order. We didn't have to wait long from ordering to eating, which was great with hungry kids. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is big enough to have choices for everyone but not so huge it makes deciding impossible. Everything we had was delicious and the housemade jam is a must try. It was no pricier than other popular breakfast locations, but I felt it was a better value than most. My only complaint was the coffee, which was weak and really stood out as disappointing when placed next to all the stellar eats. Today I ate at First Watch for the first time. Boy, was I amazed. We were greeted, seated and taken care of by Madison. She knows her stuff. The menu was a bit overwhelming as there was so much to choose from. Even though the restaurant was quite full, Madison took her time to go through the entire breakfast menu with us and tell us her favorites. My husband got the 'Everything smoked salmon Benedict' and I got the 'Bacado omelette' As I don't like salmon I didn't try my husbands plate but he said, "the salmon flavor was smoked really well and wasn't over powering". While my breakfast was phenomenal. I substituted Gluten free bread for brioche, and it was super tasty. 10/10 will be back again. read more

We always have a wonderful experience at First Watch. Yesterday we started a birthday celebration after church with breakfast. Emma provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable with the menu. I had the avocado toast and my husband had the Market Hash. Both were delicious! They had so much avocado on my toast that I snagged a piece of my husband's toast to have an extra piece. The avocado toast also came with eggs that were cooked perfectly to my liking. We hit this place on our way back from Louisville. I did the online waitlist which is a very cool Yelp feature. We did still have a bit of a wait once we got there but it was Sunday brunch time so it is too be expected. Once seated we had coffee and looked over the menu. Everything looked delicious. I went with eggs Benedict Florentine and my husband went w the standard breakfast. We also got the million dollar bacon to share. The eggs Benedict was ok. My poached eggs were cold and one was cooked too long so the center was hard. I went ahead and ate it since we had to get on the road. The million dollar bacon was the highlight of the meal. One favorite practice.. when you order coffee, you get a full insulated pot with 3 to 4 cups in it on the table. I really like that. They rotate fresh seasonal preserves. Today was blueberry. I used them on the perfect Belgian waffle, and I dont think I ever want maple syrup on a waffle again. One minor complaint was that server was too busy, and they spread her out over tables far apart, which makes it harder to flag for service. Dont knowing they were short handed, but they know how busy they are and should be staffed for it. Also never seen a manager checking in with diners here. First Watch hasn't been open long, but we have been in desperate need for another breakfast place on the Indiana side of the river for a while! My boyfriend and I arrived with only a ten minute waiting time and was provided a table faster than we expected. Our server was kind, fast and had our two bloody Marys out pretty fast! We decided to go with million dollar bacon on their seasonal items menu and I'm not huge in sweet and salty, but this bacon was crazy good! For my entrée I chose the BLT Benedict and he chose the smoked salmon Benedict, both came with seasoned potatoes. Both of our entrées were absolutely amazing, but their seasoned potatoes were the best potatoes hands down I've had in a LONG TIME. I normally cover hashbrowns or home style potatoes in hot sauce, but there didn't need a single thing! They were willing to make a substitution on my son's meal, which is nice because he can be a picky eater. After we got our food, they brought a second waffle, just because the chef "didn't like how the first one came out". To my surprise, he demolished both, "10/10" my picky eater explained.... He rated my homemade waffles a 6/10. The host was polite, and made it a point to ask how it was when we went to pay. The service was quick, bringing us the necessary condiments without even asking, and checking in on us. They do a very good job of providing traditional options (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc), healthy options (vegetarian, oats and grains), and more exotic options (crab omelets, breakfast tacos, chickichanga). You have to try the lemon curd pancakes. You get can get a single (HUGE) pancake or a stack. Either way it is one of my favorite things on the menu. Service is attentive and helpful. Interesting and varied menu for brunch/lunch in new Jeffersonville development. Housed in an attractive structure (now obscured from busy Veteran's Parkway by a brand-new, monolithic Outback Steakhouse), First Watch is upscale menu/prep/product/experience at little more than Bob Evans-level pricing. I had an early-morning breakfast as well as a late morning brunch within one week of each other, and also within a couple weeks of the location opening. Service was snappy and friendly, and like many new establishments they had more than enough staff ready to serve. The menu is the star here - varied and deep (but not overwhelming), as well as daily specials on a chalkboard on the back wall. Something for everyone. I'd suggest being bold and trying some different things out of your normal comfort zone, but there are plenty of 'standard fare' options for the less adventurous. One thing that is a house specialty is their juices and smoothies. I had a concoction of kale and mint and cucumber and something else, and while it was green and the combo of ingredients sounded puke-worthy, it was delicious and I definitely felt a caffeine-like zip after drinking. Atmosphere is bustling and like many other modern joints like this very LOUD bordering on cacophonous at times, but that is the appeal for some. On this visit I had the Bacado and a spring salad while my companions had broccoli cheese soup, salad and a Bloody Mary. I really love the First Watches that I've been to in other cities. Finally got my husband to go here and they dumped drinks on us ..accidental of course. But that said the delicious breakfast that we had was great even though service was slow. I'm not sure if I'll be able to convince my husband to go back though he apparently is a target for drinks. - I'm trying to be considerate of the fact that we are living in a very unusual time during this year with Covid19. That said, it does not excuse the fact that while we got seated fairly quickly yesterday, our server Bri only came back to take the order, to bring the drinks, to bring the food and we never saw them for 40 minutes after that. We didn't mind waiting, because we had a lot of planning to do for shopping afterwards. However we had to go and get our own receipt so we could pay and they didn't even know where our server had gone. Per the cashier, she had been seated with a big table. Now all things considered, you can see the seating chart that they have on their tablet there where you're paying, you can see that they have 10 servers and it's not that big of a restaurant... There was some teamwork lacking if she didn't have someone helping out. The manager was great about making sure people got seated, and since we're having to limit how many people were letting into the restaurant and spacing we're having to space things out do you think there would be some consideration given to table planning. read more

We have been here several times. We usually get an omelette, but today we tried the traditional breakfast and the avocado toast. They were able to make the avocado toast with gluten free bread. The wait wasn't as long as they quoted us and we were able to track our progress in line, as far as the number of tables ahead of us. They sent us a text, we followed the link and it took us to the Yelp application and we were able to see how many were ahead of us. We were quickly greeted by a server after we were seated, we were able to place our drink orders and food order in a timely manner. I got the Kale Tonic to drink and was worried it would taste too strongly of kale and was pleasantly surprised, it tasted more of the apple and cucumber with a hint of kale. The food arrived quickly considering how busy they were and it was delicious! The breakfast quinoa power bowl was delicious, the sausage that came in it was the best sausage for a restaurant I've had. My husband got the eggs benedict with ham (not sure the name) and he said it was better than from our favorite restaurant in Florida that we always get eggs benedict! I am so happy we have a First Watch in Southern Indiana. I have been to the First watch in Ohio and loved it. So I love that you can RSVP online through Yelp!!! It also tells you what time to arrive at the restaurant. We waited maybe five minutes total. I love they have people pronouns posted around the restaurant, shows respect for people. The million dollar bacon was yummy!!! I had the breakfast tacos and substitute black beans for breakfast potatoes. The food was season well and light. I used the Yep app to put our name in and arrived to our table ready for us to be seated. Wow! The future is here. I had the Florentine Benedict, it was delicious. Really delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the ciabatta was the perfect amount of crispy. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant. The coffee was better than expected while the juice was the real surprise. I had the Morning Meditation - tart, gingery, excellence.
