I don't even know where to begin. My sister moved down to Nashville from New York and I've been visiting her every month since. We come here every time I visit, I make sure of it. The service here is lovely. The food has never disappointed (and I've ordered a different dish and picked off of family member's meals every time). This is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch places of all time. I can't write about every meal I've ever eaten here (not enough time or character space) but the constants for me are the million dollar bacon and the kale tonic. The bacon is crispy even though it's topped with syrup. It can get a little spicy too with the crushed black pepper on top, but it's just like a symphony in your mouth. The kale tonic is the best juice I've ever had. The juice places in New York will charge you something around $8-13 dollars for a juice that tastes nowhere near as good. I've even tried recreating this juice at home with my Breville. This juice is so refreshing, especially on a hot Nashville day. I cannot recommend this place enough. read more

I never liked quinoa until First Watch. Whenever I see quinoa on a menu, I automatically skip over it. However, my friend ordered the Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl, and I could not stop picking off of her plate! Lucky for her, I did order my own food, which was the 2 For You - half a salad and a cup of soup. I got the Cobb salad, and their soup of the day, which was a chicken rice soup. Both were very good, and for $7.99, it was an extremely great deal. It was a nice, light lunch and very filling at the same time. Fresh juices are DIRT cheap (OK, well maybe not dirt cheap, but I'm comparing this to NYC prices). For $3.99, you can get the Morning Meditation (Orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet juice.). I LOVED this and I wish I could have this all the time. I also tried a sip of my friend's Kale Tonic (Kale, Fuji apple, English cucumber and lemon juice.), and this was amazing as well. A poor experience saved by a very kind and professional manager. I had to wait 40 extra minutes after I arrived for an online order and then received not even half of what I ordered. I ordered biscuits + gravy + eggs + fruit and only received a biscuit. I called around closing time and Curtis (I think this was his name) was quick to correct this mistake with a full refund. I appreciate a restaurant that can take ownership like this and make sure their customers are happy. I will try First Watch again in the future! read more

I will start with the highlight which earned the two stars. The shareable donut holes were very good. I wish they would have come out like an appetizer because we did have over an hour wait for a table. While we waited, there was both a 4 seat table and three seats at a bar that reminded empty because they needed to be cleaned. When we did get seated, our glasses were dirty. I ordered the baconado omelette. I did expect to actually have a fair amount of avocado given that it was one of the main ingredients, I would say there was approximately an 1/8 of an avocado. My omelette smelled like old grease which was pretty overwhelming. My potatoes were cold and not completely cooked. My husband ordered the lemon pancake and it was good but nothing special. I think the server was trying but basically was very overwhelmed. Long review short, if you are looking to be underwhelmed and disappointed, give it a shot! read more

Love that you can join the waitlist online at multiple locations because they are usually on a wait, especially on the weekends. We tried the Egg White Omelette, the Farmhouse Skillet and the Elevated Egg Sandwich and all three were incredibly salty, although they did all look really good and have a lot of fresh ingredients. I'm sure this was a mistake and they got over salted in the kitchen - because I can't imagine no one else would have mentioned it in their reviews if that was the normal proportions. Walking in it looked pretty busy and yet there was only a five minute wait. Nice calm clean atmosphere for an eco friendly brunch spot (no straws and cardboard/aluminum foil Togo boxes). We ordered a poutine to share I had the pesto chik power bowl and he had the bacado omelet with a Belgium waffle. Let me tell you!!! The POUTINE! Good gracious we dug right in and would've asked for seconds if we didn't have our main entrees waiting. The pull of the cheese, the rendering of the fat on the beef, caramelized onion all mixed in the gravy, OH AND THE MUSHROOOMSSS. What a perfect dish. I had a wonderful dining experience at First Watch. I was first impressed with how well lit the restaurant is. The lights seem just as fresh as the food, if that makes any sense at all (work with me). Our server, Bobbie, had a very pleasant attitude and her jokes weren't half bad. She had us smiling every time she came to our table. The food was very good! Even the toast and coffee were delicious. I love First Watch and generally it is my go to spot for breakfast or brunch when I am traveling. I usually have good to great experiences but that was not the case at this First Watch location in Hermitage. I was quoted a 30 minute wait at 12:15 which was no problem as I was not on a time limit. That wait stretched to almost 45 minutes. When I was given a table, it was sticky and seemed not to have been cleaned properly. I placed my order and and it was close to 10 minutes before I even received my drink. Several minutes later, I thought my food was arriving but the person carrying it stopped at another table and delivered it to them. I ordered a unique combo of items, so I was fairly sure that it was my food. Turns out I was right when at least another 10 minutes later my waitress brings my food (minus the eggs) and told me they delivered my food to the wrong table and that my eggs were still being made. She brought them a couple minutes later. When I started to eat, I quickly discovered that she must have brought me what the other person ordered that had been sitting there because everything except the eggs (which they must not have ordered) was cold and the bacon was so hard it was like eating gravel. I would have told my waitress except she promptly disappeared as soon as she brought my eggs. I ran out of my drink halfway through eating, and ate the last half of my meal without a drink. When I finished my meal, I still had not been checked on and I did not have a check, which I usually receive at the same time as my meal or shortly after. I waited for 15 minutes after I finished my meal before the waitress finally brought my check. She did ask if I wanted a drink to go, which I accepted, but then wished I hadn't as it took another 10 minutes for her to bring it. I usually never complain when I check out but I found this experience to be across the board sub-par and felt they should know about it. When I relayed this at check out, all I received was a half hearted I'm sorry and I was still charged full price. Overall First Watch is great, but I'd pick a different location. I won't be coming back to this location. read more

What a refreshing place to enjoy a meal. I happened to have breakfast while visiting from out of state. The staff was so sweet and the atmosphere was very rustic farm feel. The food was incredible! You could tell everything was fresh! I had the elevated egg sand which was delicious! As well as the avocado toast. My favorite part was the different juices you could choose from the juice bar. My first experience there wasn't a pleasant one. Although the food was delicious our server (Stephanie, who said she had been with First Watch for 8 years) was very condescending and argumentative. I have never been to a restaurant where everything on the menu looked amazing and when it came to the table tasted amazing. The potatoes were well seasoned and everything was hot and fresh and ready to eat. Even the fruit that came in the fruit cup was fresh and sweet. The Purple haze taste like you're in the middle of a candle store surrounded by lavender! Everything was amazing and the service was wonderful! We were in Nashville this weekend from out of state, celebrating my sister's 30th birthday. I have food allergies, gluten and dairy, so finding restaurants can be a little difficult. We came across First Watch's awesome GF reviews, so we decided to give them a shot. It was a good call! We ate here both Saturday and Sunday morning. We showed up at around 8:00. Any later, and you'll be in a 20-30 minute wait. Our first trip, I let the server know i needed gluten-free and dairy-free, and ordered an egg white omelette with mushrooms, onions, and green chilies. It was really good - SUPER mushroomy, but sooo good. The GF bread was Udi's and for no extra cost, which is always a bonus. My husband ordered the Farmhouse skillet hash, dairy-free. All was good, except his bread came with butter. It was super busy, so he made do. On our 2nd trip, I ordered the Farmhouse skillet hash GF and DF, because his looked so good the day before, and he ordered the turkey burger. My food came completely GF and DF as requested, and his turkey burger was also DF as requested. The hash was incredible, those sun dried tomatoes are so sweet and the bacon is not super greasy or overpowering. The potatoes were perfect. His burger was good, but he liked the hash a little more. Their coffee is also very good, and we were impressed with their different house made juices. They are really on top of the healthy food game, which for a person like me with allergies, is a very cool feature. That said, if you're looking for a 1,200 calorie French toast breakfast, they've got that for you too. No wonder this place gets so busy! This location had warm and welcoming atmosphere with typical to First Watch franchise decor and indoor finishes. Our server Lanise was very sweet and polite and left us with a very good impression of service at this First Watch location, which we very much appreciate since we are on a road and having a positive human interaction does wonders. I've ordered loaded salmon bagel and it was so delicious and fresh - I loved it! Very tasty and prepared to perfection. That cheese spread was very tasty and went really smooth with smoked salmon and garden butter greens. Husband ordered classic eggs benedict and from how fast he wolfed it down I can only assume that he loved it. Overall very positive experience with everything that we had a chance to taste and staff that we saw on that day. If we are ever back to Nashville I know exactly where we are going to have our breakfast at. Also plenty of parking around the area of this restaurant! OMG! There's no other way to describe this place. We are visiting from NJ and big fans of brunch in general. Found FW on yelp and we are pretty darn happy with our choice. We were so glad that the first place we went to was closed on Sundays or we would never have found this gem! It was packed. Wait time was 25 min and they texted us when our table was ready so we were able to sit in our car and wait.
