I typically go to the Champion's location, however I felt like this location definitely had better service and food came out quick! I think our server's name was Jenny, and she was AWESOME! She took down orders for our party of 8 people, and everything was perfect. She refilled our drinks without having to ask her, and she just all around had a great attitude. All of the dishes we ordered were great, and none of us had a problem with our meals. Extra toast and condiments were happily given to us without a problem, and all around this location was just so great. We made sure to tip her well as she took care of us so nicely. I am excited to come back. Might be our family's go to location from now on. read more

Had take out from here a few times before and decided to finally visit in person, and it didn't disappoint! Staff was super friendly and even on a busy Saturday morning the wait was not long for brunch. I got the the Floridian French Toast (comes with bananas but I didn't get them) and it was DELICIOUS! This is really a changeup from IHOP. Tired of that crowded long white down the road from there? Find your place inside here to be greeted by a better interior, Exquisite menu that does not look as boring as the other place I stayed and great service as well. Out of the five choices of eggs benedict, I had the BLT eggs Benedict which came out pretty nice with the right flavor of hollandaise sauce and two strips of crispy bacon. The thing that was on my mind was the million-dollar bacon that everybody seemed to post pictures of. You get f our strips of thick bacon for $5. I have not tried it yet but maybe one of y'all can chime in on it when you make your visit here, just look at the other pictures, toto be attempted as well. My foodie friend had the blueberry pancake that really looked thick, inviting and even better looking than IHOP. There was enough leftover on his plate to try, but I was already stuffed by then. The food prices on menu are just about up there with IHOP but with a better quality and presentation aspect. I gave this particular location a low rating due to witnessing an employee walk out of a restroom stall after flushing and went straight into the kitchen this past Sunday, Jan. 7th. She DID NOT wash her hands! When I spoke to the manager about it, he was nonchalant and said he would address the matter with the whole staff. I ordered for a group pick up on a Sunday morning. Service was stellar! As soon as I got out of the car, the host was very attentive and came to the front door to open it for me. Not a fan of this location - maybe an off day? The last time I went to a First Watch it was a great experience - the food was fresh, the portions were big. Today, the food was not fresh, and the portions were small for what you pay. We walked in at 12 noon (party of 3) and were promptly seated. I thought the service was kind and decent, but the food was so so so sad. I got the kale superfood salad - the description touted itself to be much more appealing and vibrant, and instead I was greeted with a salad that was someone's after thought. It had pre packaged cooked chicken meat on it (so not fresh and probably pulled out of a bag), carrots that also seemed to just be microwaved in a bag- it had that overcooked/freezer taste, and it was just...womp womp. Although this salad was not up to snuff, I would hope a restaurant would make it as palatable as their other breakfast dishes - it is, afterall, on their menu for a reason. They do offer a swap for gluten free toast at no cost at all - so I thought that was a nice offering as many other institutions make you pay $2 for that. read more

Superb staff with quality menu options. The location used to be an "Egg and I" but we weren't big fans overall of that old place. The first visit was spotlighted when the hostess took the time and effort to inspect the menus to ensure ours were clean and not greasy or messy as other similar restaurants have, but she actually cared about the condition of the menu, which was a good sign they care about the other things important to patrons as well. We've been here twice in the last month and each time we got great service and the food was made with love and care. Big pancakes the size of your face and their tacos and "power bowl" with healthy greens, Turkey and roasted sweet potatoes were top notch. Recently moved into the area and wanted to try this breakfast and brunch place. We were immediately greeted by very friendly workers as soon as we walked in. I got the carnitas burrito and my boyfriend got an omelette. The burrito was massive and very visually appealing. Once I dug into it I was a little disappointed that it didn't taste as good as it looked. All I tasted was salsa verde and the burrito as a whole was overshadowed by the sauce. The carnitas kinda had a bad pork smell that I wasn't too big a fan of. Otherwise the burrito wasn't terrible. My boyfriend got one of the omelettes that came with toast and potatoes. I had some of his sides and both were really good. Was kinda upset those same potatoes were the ones in my burrito and they were buried in that green sauce. Also had the kale drink and my boyfriend had the iced coffee. The kale drink was amazing! The perfect amount of sweetness and balance of veggies and fruit. I think I would come back just to order that drink Togo. Altogether it's a nice brunch place. I can see myself stopping by again sometime soon and maybe trying something else off the menu. Was FLOORED by the food and service today. My wife and I were seated immediately and then mere moments later our server appeared to offer us coffee and take our drink orders. When she returned to take our food orders, she noticed we were taking interest in the Million Dollar Bacon on the menu and offered to get us a sample to try as she put in our main food orders. We happily obliged, and as soon as we tried the sample she gave us we were hooked and immediately put in a full order of it. Loved the thoughtfulness of the service, but also that of the food itself. TL;Dr: Not quite 5* but still pretty good I stopped by on a whim, placing my order to go. One of the (presumed) hosts took my order off to the side while cashier in front helped a leaving customer to pay their till. I asked for recommendations. To assist, I stated: I like meat, sweet is fine, and needs to be readily portable for eating in the car as I had only a few minutes to spare between work errands this morning. He recommended the Farmhouse, which effectively had avocado, potatoes, bacon, cheese, and onions. He specified it comes in a bowl. I said that'd be good and ordered an orange juice to go. He offered to give it to me as I wait, but I reiterated to go. I mentioned this because that shows he was thinking of my wait. It took about 15 minutes for it. The food came in a container (the square ones, not a bowl). It was handed to me in a brown bag with to go utensils (they were open, but had a napkin and plastic cutlery) and a couple mints. The orange juice was handed to me. I paid at the end. One thing that cocked my eyebrow was all the banners professing about their app, but their payment system requires pen and paper to finish. I anticipated an electronic system. As for the food, I liked the rye-like bread with the butter... by taste, I assume it is an almond butter. It had a generous spread on it, where I could taste it in every bite. They gave me one slice cut into two triangles. This was balanced on top of the food. It was good overall. I would eat it again. While my experience wasn't wowing, I still give this place 5* because it does everything I am looking for: clean location, good food, friendly and attentive service, and customers who appear content at every table. read more

I came back on an off time 2 different times and the service was sooooooooo much better!! I had an açaí smoothie bowl...so so good! I had just worked out and this was the perfect light but satisfying meal for me to eat. My friend ordered the million dollar bacon and I was impressed! I'm not big on bacon but this was pretty good! Lots of flavor. Next time I went I had the avocado toast and egg whites. The avocado toast had slightly too much salt but it still tasted good. Went to a Yelp Elite event at another location and liked the food that was presented to us. We decided to go to this location since it was on the way for us to our errands. The beginning: We got in and was greeted and sat down promptly. As we sat I kept looking around wondering who our waiter was as people kept passing us by. I did notice about 3-4 guys in the corner of the restaurant, I thought they were bussing tables but they were waiters. I was confused as why they were standing there for a good minute and we haven't been talked to yet. We sat down for a good 8-10 minutes before someone approached us to order our drinks. As this happened I pulled out a card that allowed two meals on First Watch for up to $20. The guy seemed confused and said I will check into this. The middle: The guy came back and said he gave it to someone to look at and SHE will come over and talk to us. I looked at the people near the front and then I saw the lady give the card to another guy. It seemed like she was passing it on to someone cause she didn't know anything about it. This was about 4-5 minutes from the waiter saying he will get someone to check in with us. The waiter came back and said did she come by yet? I said no not yet and about 30 seconds later a guy came by. I think he was a manager because he was greeting other tables about their meals. He asked where we got the card from because it wasn't signed. My wife and I responded that we got it from a yelp elite event. He said oh what location and we said Champion Forest. He said something along the lines of ok I will honor it this time and write the location on the back the card. He also mentioned that the location had been broken into. I mean what is that supposed to insinuate? That we stole the cards? Either way that should be confidential information and not something that should be shared to customers. I even checked to see if that was on the news but didn't find anything. The end (food) - I wanted to try the Elote Mexican street corn has but I had to ask if it came with the lime. I like lime on my Mexican type dishes. I asked this cause my wife order the hibiscus drink and the waiter said sorry we have no limes for the drink and handed her the drink. He said that oh I'm sure the kitchen will a lime for it. I said really cause the drink didn't have the lime. Waiter seemed to be at a loss of words and said oh yea I'm sure we will have limes for the food. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON!. I ended up getting the Lox Benedict. This first watch is usually our go to spot after church, today 5-12-2024 we wanted to enjoy a nice meal after church, the food is great as always!! But unfortunately the customer service was off today Sundays are usually busy as expected, but it seems no one knows how to work as a team. My boyfriend didn't get his pancakes till we were ready for the bill and I asked for lemons to go with my water. We got the bill and I still haven't received the lemons. I expressed to the waitress that it's as simple as going to the kitchen and putting a lemon on a plate and bring it out to us... she then told me she didn't know what to say. I talked to 4 different people about the lemons and the waitress 3 times about the lemons and still nothing. That's where the lack of team work comes to play. I feel certain the waitstaff was doing the best they could, so this review is about management and lack of training. Late lunch service, during the week. We were seated - 2 people at a 4 top and the 9th table of customers. Waited 10 mins before anyone came by. Within that time 2 other tables called out to passing staff, while 4 staff meandered. We ordered and we were patient with the kitchen. When food was delivered, it was done so from the far end of the table and nearly dumped in our laps. My chicken avocado chop salad had neither avocado or dressing. It took a couple mins too long for avocado to show up and when I asked for dressing, I said the dressing that comes with the salad was preferable. Ranch was delivered and I asked if this was the right dressing, only to find out later that citrus chipotle (ah, the one listed on the menu) was the correct dressing. Everything took a little too long, which got annoying. This is most definitely a management issue. I would like to say that we'll be back, but we can't get lunch done in an hour, so probably not for lunch. Absolutely at another time, tho. Food was amazing! read more

I went to a Yelp event not too long ago at a different location and was very impressed with the quality of food First Watch provides. We were given a card that allowed us to free meal on them, the back of card says any location. So we decided to use it, and this location so happens to be the closest to us. We came here on Tuesday, the place was not busy nor packed. But I can see now why this location is poorly rated. We were seated and waited about 10 mins before anyone acknowledged us to order drinks. Upon someone finally waiting on us, I ordered one of their advertised drinks called Hibiscus Limeade, because it looked refreshing in the picture, with basil and lime. When we got it, the waiter told us they ran out of lime...really?! how do you run out of lime?! I guess they also ran out of basil because it looked nothing like the picture. We later inquired about the lime for a dish my husband wanted and the waiter said the kitchen should have some limes...so something wasn't right there. Before ordering our food, we inquired about our gift card with the waiter and he had no idea, so said he would ask a manager. After waiting 15 mins for a manager to come and chat with us, one finally did and the manager asked us where we got the card because "it wasn't signed". It sounded very accusing, so we explained exactly where we got it. He then said that "that location (Champion Forest) was recently broken into, but I'll except it this one time". Ummm really?! It sounded like he was accusing us of breaking into the location and stealing a gift card... This was a huge negative for me, and spoiled my experience, but we decided to go ahead and order food. The food came out quicker than our server got to us, I ordered the Pesto Chicken Quinoa, because that was one of the items I liked at our Yelp Elite tasting. It tasted just the same and was delicious. If I could rate the food separately it would be 5 stars! If it wasn't for the customer service and the poor accusations from the manager, I would come back to this location. But that left a sour taste in my mouth, so I will be heading to another location, even if it's further out. read more
