Last time I visited, the experience wasn't the best but it looks like they hired more staff and everyone did a great job! There was a very busy line and we didn't have reservations, so we sat at the community table and I thought that was a cute touch to the restaurant, where people come together and sit at one table. Overall, the food was very good. I had a the salmon eggs Benedict, which was cooked very nicely. The salad was also a nice touch, that I later added on top of the eggs. Really beautiful location in Lake Mary. We went on Father's Day first thing in the morning and had a very short wait. We arrived just before the rush! We tried all the summer menu items and all were pretty delicious! Their watermelon seasonable drink was sweet and refreshing. I highly recommend the Mexican Elote Street Corn Hash. It's savory with a kick! My son enjoyed the barbacoa tacos and ordered them sans egg (he's just not a fan). Of course, they have all of the items on their regular menu up for grabs. Man I love this place. Good food. The service was also good, our waitress helped us with the menu and accommodated our requests/substitutions with ease. This is a very casual atmosphere, and there's usually a wait although we got in pretty quickly on a Saturday at 9:30am. You can add yourself to a virtual waitlist before you get there to help with the wait. I had the Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk cocktail and my husband had the Tequila Sunrise situation (I don't think that's what it's called but it's made with pomegranate). Both excellent. I also got the cauli-rizo tacos (I think I'm butchering the name again lol). Switched the side of beans out for cheese grits (didn't cost extra). Idk how long that will be on the seasonal menu but I love those tacos! Perfect if you don't eat meat. My husband got his usual French toast/eggs/meat and he enjoyed it as well. Great place great food but unfortunately today I couldn't even get in. It appears if you don't check in online walk ins don't have priority and it would help if they had a good hostess. We checked in 11:51 with a verified message and she tells us 30 min. We wait 30 min as we watch others get there after us and get seated and so we go in to ask and the host "wish I had her name" tells us it will be another 30 min. I had to cancel with a party of 5 and kids I couldn't wait. To bad for the restaurant as I saw one of the ones before us got seated in a booth and it was only 1 person. So note to everyone that wants to go here check in online in person check ins are basically worthless. Oh and then she tells me rudely as a representative of the restaurant "I can't make the tables clear any faster" Hopefully management sees this as I do believe she was one of the managers. read more

Been here twice for breakfast. Staff is super friendly. Some need to be reminded of water if coffee refills, but that's the case at most places. I love their menu. They have a standard menu and a seasonal menu. So you can have your go to fave or try something new! Coffee is hot and good. They even give you your own carafe. Every dish I've had here is excellent, except the biscuits and gravy. They do a healthy version of this dish and it doesn't hit the spot for people who enjoy true comfort food. Next time, I'll ask for heat and more meat. I love First Watch, we've been to many locations throughout Central Florida. I've had great experiences at several locations. One of the things I like is that it reminds me of something that belongs in San Francisco. This location has a great ambiance. It is a huge space and a huge disappointment. The food temperature was inconsistent and that wasn't the only problem. The Roast Beef and Havarti was served room temperature. The cheese was melted but cool, so I know at some point it was hot. Also, they gave much less roast beef than other locations. I posted a picture, the amount of roast beef was sad. My wife had a crab omelette special, she said it was ok and that she would not order it again. It looked nice, but she reports the flavor was lacking. The cheese grits were mediocre. I don't know how you could make bland cheese grits, but these reminded me of the gruel that Orphan Annie was forced to eat. At least they were piping hot, unlike my room temperature sandwich. This was sad considering that the location is gorgeous, aesthetically the restaurant is my favorite of all the First Watch restaurants. The waitress was also top notch. The food quality was high, despite us not liking the preparation. Because of these things I bumped it to 2 stars, but in my heart it was a 1 star experience. If you are someone who doesn't mind sending food back, this might not be an issue for you. I'm sure they would have made it right if I complained. But I don't feel like I should have to send my food back if you serve me a sandwich with little meat and no heat. read more

I will say that I've gotten a side of potatoes on the side and couldn't finish my food so don't underestimate the size of the food, lol. It was delicious, efficient with good spacing and masks used but my favorite part was the seriousness they took with my gluten allergy. They have a toothpick! All restaurants should have this. So being that we are still in time of COVID-19, I'm glad they were open for us to try this restaurant. But I will first say, it wasn't what I expected. First off we came in, knowing that the rush hadn't started yet so we put our name down and were told 15 minutes. After about 25 minutes we walked in to ask to see if our number was maybe put wrong and they asked for our name and promptly sat us. The server came over and asked for our drinks, we looked over the menu and were ready to order. She brought the drinks, got our order, and we never saw her again. I honestly can't recall her name being given either. When we got our food, maybe like 20 minutes later, we then asked for more drinks having finished ours. I ordered the Chickichanga which is basically the equivalent to a breakfast chimichanga, avacado, chicken and chorizo on the inside; Hollandaise and sour cream on top, some breakfast potatoes on the side and some mixed melons and grapes in a cup. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict and it came on ciabatta bread, which is different for us, being from New Orleans not what we are used to; she said the salad wasn't anything special to talk about. Above all what I want to get at, i understand it's Sunday morning yes I know it's busy, but being someone who has worked in service industry, and still does, and having worked a brunch spot back in Nola (Ruby Slipper) attention to the customers is very important even when busy busy. We were maybe almost done with the food and the server just came by and dropped the check and said pay in the front, didn't ask if we needed boxes or drinks to go, nothing. Love the food here. The pancakes are one of my faves. They offer different flavors for the pancakes such as chocolate chip, carrot pecan and more. I've also tried the salmon benefit from here and truly enjoyed it, as well as the house potatoes. Lastly, I love their non-alcoholic drinks- one with lavender and the other called 'Morning Meditation'. Food and beverages are made fresh and delicious. The service was excellent and our meals arrived fairly quick considering it is a very busy restaurant. Recently I met my niece for breakfast and ordered the Farms Stand Breakfast Tacos and she ordered a blueberry pancake with an omelet. My tacos were made with chicken, eggs, chorizo, and two types of cheese. It was topped with pico de gallo and an avocado. The entree comes with three tacos and is enough to share. My husband and I decided to do a date day and start off the day with breakfast at First Watch. This location is a new location, but it's in a great spot! We arrived on a Wednesday morning, but when I tell you the entire restaurant gives you the Saturday morning relaxation feel....it's amazing!!! The atmosphere is filled with natural sunlight with a modern architecture inside. The ambiance also reminds me of southern breakfast kitchens with the utensils and dishes that are used. Well, our waiter quickly changed the entire order and scrambled my husbands eggs, so we had a scrambled eggs Benedict!!! We drove about 30 minutes to eat at a first watch only to find out there was one right by my house! This one in particular is very consistent in food quality. I usually get the chicken Quinoa bowl, and since I don't want to be TOO healthy will sneak in a million dollar bacon also ;) Their avacado toast is probably one of their best values, they don't hold back and for less than $10 probably it's the best price you can find that as well. Dined in around 9 with myself & my two littles. The waitress was very attentive and understanding about having toddlers and what my needs would be. Coffee is fine, not much to write home about but kept me up for the most part.
