I've been going to First Watch for many years, just not this location, which happens to be quite new. We used the call ahead system which worked quite well and were seated within 10 minutes of arrival at the restaurant. I had the Chickichanga and my wife has the works omelet. We also got a piece of French toast and some million-dollar bacon on the side, to share. The Chickichanga was excellent - I really appreciate the blend of flavors. They did mess up our order but gave us a free entree to compensate (which probably added one start to this review). Breakfast foods isn't my favorite style, but if I do breakfast this is probably my favorite location. read more

A great go to place in Lake Mary. The food is always fresh and tasty and haven't had a bad experience at this location ever. Even during the height of Covid they did what they could and still was able to maintain a great lunch experience. We always get the avocado toast and share. I get the Parma boil with sausage and the Mrs tends to get a Benedict. Overall the food is hot, comes out quick and a great place when you're in a pinch on deciding where to eat. Waited 5 minutes for water and coffee when there's only 4 tables with people sitting down. Ordered the "tacos Al pastor hash" only for it to come with a tbsp of actual meat and two tortillas. Then they have the audacity to charge you an extra 2.50 for 2 luke warm microwaved tortillas if the first two weren't enough. Good thing zaza is in the same plaza. read more

My second visit to this restaurant but a different location. I swore i would not return but with family post Christmas hard to get all righteous about it. Our server here was also very good but shocked at my distain for all things kale and gluten free. Parking is very cutthroat here. As I said in my other post, this not my kind of menu. So today I tried to create a meal using parts. I love French toast but hate thick breads and brioche so limited options here. I was able to create a Frankenstein omelet with ingredients from other things on the menu. It was good but over cooked so if I'm ever dragged here again I would ask for lightly cooked to compensate. The dilemma is the server was good at recording our specific adjustments but kitchen failed on half of them. This place is loud and only a few outside tables which appear to fill quickly. read more

I've been to First Watch in other places and love their food. I'm visiting my kids in Sanford and saw the Lake Mary location. I ordered the Parma Skillet Hash. It was delicious and I had never had before. I was disappointed because they did not include the all natural preserves for the toast in our take out order. My daughter had the biscuits and gravy. She said it was fine although the gravy was thin. It also said it was served with 2 eggs scrambled but there is no way there was 2 eggs. Which was a disappointment. My son had the Florida French toast and said it was great and my daughter in law had the regular French toast. Both liked their meals. While we had some disappointments we will return. But will check the bags before we leave to make sure we got all our stuf. read more

Came here for brunch around 11am on a Friday and there were plenty of tables open. Our server was super friendly and greeted us with an already made pot of coffee. Their food is really good! I loved everything we ordered! MILLIONAIRE'S BACON ($4.99) - If you come here, you HAVE to order the Millionaire's Bacon! It's 4 pieces of thick cut bacon with a bit of sweetness from the maple syrup and a bit of a kick from the Cayenne Pepper. You'll fall in love from the first bite PARMA SKILLET HASH ($10.89) - Hashes are one of my favorite brunch items. I loved the Italian Sausages in this one. Came with a side fo buttered toast and jam! LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKES ($9.79) - This is their most popular pancake and I can see why. I always get pancakes to share because they're usually too much to finish by myself. The pancakes are so light and fluffy! The lemon curd on top isn't too tart or sweet but adds a great balance to the pancakes. While the wait was a bit long, Yelp does let you check in before you arrive so that you can save some time. My husband and I waited inside for about 10-15 minutes so it wasn't bad. After we were seated, we looked at the menu and they had a good variety of food. I ordered the Trifecta and really liked the blueberry pancake which was a decent size. Saturday morning 10 am 20 min wait which was fine. Asked for outside or a booth as we saw outside had 2 tables open. Ended up with a booth after 20 min that was vacant when we got there. Lol. Anyways. Food came quickly. And was good. But on that note I had an egg white Italian omelette. It said it would have seasonings and parm and mozzarella chesse( cheese is always the best part of the omelette ) the was a couple small shreds of parm. and no mozzarella and no seasoning. I was expecting Italian seasonings. So the egg whites were basically bland. Thank goodness for hot sauce. Potatoes were a bit hard but this was our 5 th time I got potatoes and they are usually a bit undercooked. There are no prices on the drink menu. So I just didn't order one. Not going to get slammed for a drink. Oh yeah, we ordered the "gingerbread" donuts for dessert, love me some gingerbread, very very disappointed in those. Tasted like a regular donut and they came out stone cold. Like refrigerator cold. Suggestion, serve warm and at least roll in cinnamon sugar if they aren't going to taste like gingerbread. And heat them or dunk them in fryer before serving. They were just cold and flavorless. Atmosphere and staff were great. First watch is one of my favorite places to eat. Though I normally frequent the one in Maitland, this Lake Mary location is close to work and breakfast for lunch is always an option to me. So what makes this location stand out from the rest? The size. This location was so much bigger than the other ones I've visited which I'm sure helps on those busy weekends. Monday through Thursday lunch time is usually quiet. Fridays however are a bit crowded as if it were already the weekend. Lord knows I wish I could start the weekend early myself. They stick to the same menu as other locations so yes, you can indulge in the Million Dollar Bacon here! I love their Italian omelet with fresh potatoes and wheat toast. I would post a picture but I forget and eat my food too fast. I've told my husband to remind me next time. You can't go wrong with their lunch either, I love the open chicken salad sandwich with broccoli cheddar soup. It's my go to when that's the soup special. My only downside is the sweet tea and small entrance. The tea every time I go is never sweet, I've given up and just started ordering water, I know the horror! The entrance is small and when we walked in to grab a table, we realized we couldn't be seen over the line of people in the same area waiting to pay their tab and check out. Friendly bar that is absolutely deserted on Mother's Day! I had a roast beef wrap that was full of delicious roast beef and wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. I substituted the horse radish sauce for the ranch dressing! Good choice! The chips are not chips in the traditional sense but homemade crisps of goodness! Amy is a friendly and funny bartender who talked me into a pickle back...a shot of Jameson's chased by pickle juice! I won't say it's my favorite but really pretty good! I'll be back. The table was dirty, the seats were dirty, the little round container they have on top of the table with the coffee creamers was filthy, the utensils were filthy. I'm not really sure how to rate this place. It started out great and we've had plenty of wonderful meals there with great service. The atmosphere is nice, the decor is lovely and fresh and we enjoy(ed) the food. My husband stopped in for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and was not blown away by his food. He said it was OK. We went back again this week as a family and we'll be giving it a miss for a good while or, more likely, staying away from this particular location for the foreseeable future. Service started out fine and steadily declined. I don't think we saw our server after the order was placed. Someone else brought the food out, which is fine, and I prefer that it comes out while hot so that part was not an issue. But we didn't see our server until a good 10 minutes after the food got to the table. The toast arrived with some kind of spread melted into it, which none of us like. Who puts butter (this did NOT look or smell like real butter) ON someone else's toast?! By the time the server arrived to check on us, She did go back and switch it out for some fresh toast very quickly once we asked, but as 10 minutes had passed since the food arrived, I told her not to worry about mine. There was a strange, 'off' vibe in there that got progressively worse and even the lady at the front desk who processed the card for payment was cold and dismissive. We presume we were a pain in the butt and that they would prefer that we don't go there again. So we shall dine elsewhere. It's a shame. It was a lovely place to go for breakfast - all six months of it since they opened. Perhaps there is new management - who knows. Great new location! I really like the farmhouse feel and decor inside. Went by after church on Sunday and despite the hostess' estimate of a 30 minute wait... we only waited about 10 minutes. Our server was quick and friendly and we had a great brunch. I ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich, which is described in the menu as "fresh, over-easy cage-free egg with bacon, Gruyere cheese, fresh smashed avocado, mayo and lemon dressed arugula on a brioche bun. Served with fresh, seasoned potatoes." It was DELICIOUS. The bacon was crispy and perfectly done. The avocado was the perfect ripeness. You can never go wrong with Gruyere cheese! The seasoned potatoes were a great accompaniment. All in all, a great experience here - I will definitely be back. read more

First and only time here. I'm not from the area but I went with people who live nearby. It was pouring rain that day we visited but we got sat right away, which was nice. The server was new but did a good job. I dont understand the name of this place but I'm sure there's a story behind it. I dont recall what I ordered, I believe it was a sandwich and salad. Both were very good. Bread was soft and fresh. The other people I ate with also liked their meals. They have it figured out. Not only does it have the fresh farm looks and feel but the taste never disappoints! I hade the chickichanga it's basically a breakfast chimichanga but you can definitely identify the chorizo in there !slammin! Cute and clean inside. I haven't had eggs Benedict since I was 12; I looked forward to the Florentine Benedict. Service was spotty. Waitress forgot a drink (we were a table of 4 on a Wednesday late morning)- the drink was water with lemon. Since we had a pitcher of water on the table with little glasses, she just brought a bowl of lemons. Except for the potatoes I ordered on the side, everything was ice cold. Hollandaise, nor eggs, from my recollection should be cold. If I wasn't with co-workers, I would have said something. Very disappointing. read more

I'm BAAAACCCCKKKK!!! After a long hiatus, I am posting again and happy to say I found a winner! I had a GREAT breakfast at FIRST WATCH in Lake Mary! Went off of the pre-designed meals on the menu and put together my own custom meal with a Belgian waffle, MILLION DOLLAR BACON and home fried potatoes. The waffle was cooked perfectly and the bacon is made with brown sugar and spicy seasonings to give it a unique kick! The potatoes were, eh, potatoes.
