Made with Blue Ridge Vodka, Cava, and strawberry-watermelon juice, it was light, crisp, and not overly sweet. The deviled eggs were topped with bacon jam, which added a nice savory touch. They had a bit more mustard and horseradish kick than I'm accustomed to, but they were still delicious and packed with flavor. The real star, though, was the Low Country Biscuit. It was absolutely enormous, stacked with perfectly fried chicken, chunky pimento cheese, and hot honey. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the combination of the rich pimento cheese with the sweet heat of the hot honey was outstanding. The honey added just enough spice to complement the sandwich without overpowering the other flavors. I also tried a bite of my wife's Southern Philly, and it was fantastic. It's a creative Southern spin on a classic Philly cheesesteak and one that's definitely worth ordering. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. One fun detail I really appreciated was that the check is presented inside a book, a small touch that fits perfectly with the restaurant's farmhouse theme. Between the outstanding biscuits, generous portions, creative menu, and excellent service, Buford's Biscuits delivered a fantastic breakfast experience. She asked if we were here for anything in particular and I mentioned his birthday (which in many places, they would have known from the notation on the reservation, but again, this was not something that bothered me in particular.) The rest: First, the food. Our appetizers were on the "specials": a watermelon salad and crab stuffed squash blossoms. The watermelon was good overall, but with the current issue of cyclospora outbreak, we probably would have picked something else if the menu had noted that one of the ingredients was arugula. I realize that this is just us being overly cautious but it would have been good to know in advance. The squash blossom stuffing tasted more like tuna than crabmeat. Edible but not that good. It got worse with entrees. Husband ordered the ribeye and I had the short rib. I was actually shocked to see that steak: it was SO thin. Wish I had thought to take a picture of it. Due to this, it was overcooked - almost impossible not to do so for such a thin piece of meat. A ribeye at Texas Roadhouse would have been superior to this, and probably half the price (it was criminal to charge $58 for this.) Also nowhere on the menu did it say that the seasoning in the steak was spicy. Again - would have ordered something else had he known that. Short rib was dry and the reduction sauce was overly salty. The goat cheese potato puree that accompanied both tasted good but there was so little of it that it was more of a suggestion of a side than an actual side. We skipped dessert and asked for the check, which took a long time to arrive. Eventually the waitress arrived, apologized for the wait, and set down an empty plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate syrup with a birthday candle. Huh??? Either give some kind of dessert or don't bother! We would have rather had no acknowledgement than this waste of time and dirtying a plate. To be clear - we weren't looking for a free dessert; we were ready to go and would have ordered something if we wanted it. But this is just weird. I'm sorry to see this place go downhill. It is overpriced and lacking in the quality that it had in past years.

She acknowledged my request but then proceeded to play with her phone near the work station, seemingly forgetting about our needs. I observed her chatting with coworkers and wandering around the restaurant, completely disengaged from her customers. As time went on, I grew increasingly frustrated and eventually decided to approach the bar to request napkins myself. This lack of attentiveness and focus on the customer was disappointing, and it overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable meal. While I understand that the restaurant employs young staff members, I believe it's essential for them to prioritize customer service and display a strong work ethic. This experience left me with the impression that some members of the younger generation might need more guidance on professional conduct in a customer service setting. Despite the unfortunate encounter with our waitress, I want to reiterate that the food was fantastic, and the restaurant itself is lovely. However, the quality of service is a critical aspect of any dining experience, and I hope that the management takes steps to address this issue and provide adequate training for their staff. In conclusion, my decision not to return to this particular location is solely based on the service experience and not a reflection of the food quality or the restaurant's overall atmosphere. My recent trip to First Watch was less than stellar. The glass I received was marred by a visible ring, making me wonder if even Ray Charles could have spotted it. The letdown continued with my avocado toast, which took an eternity to arrive, while my wife's meal appeared promptly. Apparently, there was an order mix-up, but that didn't make up for the delayed service. When my avocado toast finally arrived, it was anything but satisfying. Devoid of any seasoning, it left me unimpressed. The crab atop the avocado tasted like a simple jarred addition, lacking creativity or effort. Overall, this experience was far from what I had hoped for. The cleanliness issue, sluggish service, and tasteless dish cast a shadow on my visit. Late breakfast on a Tuesday morning and was surprised how busy they are even at 11am. The host and hostesses were nice, and the wait was actually minimal with people leaving. The menu is large which is typical of diner fare. I couldn't resist getting the Philly cheesesteak but also had to try their tuna fish. I had a side of cole slaw too. We both had coffee which was excellent. The cheesesteak was excellent, hot, tasty and juicy. The coleslaw had a nice blend of crunch and tang. The tuna salad had a deli feel to it. Not the everyday tuna out of a can. My sister got two eggs over easy, lots of perfectly cooked bacon, buttered toast and grits. All delicious. Loved this place!
