Amazing brioche French toast and incredibly fast seating and service. This will be our new go to breakfast place when north in ozaukee area.

Refreshing twist on the mom and pop morning diner. The food is unique and fresh and the staff is attentive and on top of things. Overall, even though the restaurant has been there for a few years, they have kept to their original goal of bringing fresh, reasonably priced, food to the area. Food is delicious. I rarely go out to breakfast but I went to use a gift card I had received. Upon checking out, the staff person (maybe mgr?) said the server was down and couldn't use my gc. I told him that was the only reason we went there. No apology, no thinking outside the box (I suggested he put on my credit card and refund me the gc later when servers were up since he had my credit card). That obviously was beyond his capabilities as he looked at me like I had 2 heads. At the very least he could have given me a discount or a little credit. No, I guess at the very least he could have apologized. I will go to the Brookfield location to use my gc at a later date. Not giving them more business until they are better trained to deal with issues. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. The entire experience was horrible. 01/30/2022 I decided I wanted some brunch from a place I enjoyed to go to when I lived in Texas. I chose to order online from the Mequon location. When I arrive to pick up my order, I noticed my drinks were missing. Morning meditation, kale tonic and purple haze. When I asked about them the guy told me they sold out of the drinks. Ok that's cool but you don't think you could've called to tell me before I drove all the way to your establishment? The drinks were my main reason for me ordering from them in the first place. Whatever just give me iced coffee! Fast forward to when I get home. I'm eating "the works omelet" and as I'm chewing something felt weird In my mouth. As I pull it out I realized it's a piece of blonde hair!!! I couldn't even finish my food. It was so good but this makes me never want to eat here again! First Watch in San Antonio would NEVER! I wish I could've gone back to get a refund but they were closed. Back in town for annual Germanfest. Yesterday, We went back because we like this place. Again a good breakfast, Crab and Asparagus special omelet breakfast. Real crab and nicely roasted asparagus with a side of potatoes very good. The whole grain toast, thickly sliced was nice. I had the chicken chorizo breakfast tacos, again tasty and the beans with pico de gallo a great side dish. My only complaint was the corn tortilla were falling apart. With the quality of food in my many visits including today - I expect better. There are many much better quality tacos available, even La Mesilla in the paper bag that are made in the Upper Midwest are better. To compare, today we went to Simple Cafe, the lady next to me had breakfast tacos - double tortilla (hint)(hint) for each tacos. Suggestion, Get better quality corn totrillas, or ask the cook where he gets his. See ya next year. read more

My wife and I really enjoyed our meal here. They have a great variety of different specials that sounded delicious. I ended up going with the Monte Crisco and it was very good. A little one note with the Dijon being the most prominent flavor but still very good. The greens with a strawberry / raspberry vinaigrette were very good too. I nibbled on a few after my sandwich which is rare as I hate "rabbit food" and even I would have eaten more of the greens if I hadn't been so full! I like that they offer flavored creamers for your coffee. My wife ordered chocolate chip pancakes which were HUGE! Overall the food was tasty and we would definitely come back. read more

I've had a few different experiences here now: The first two were pretty solid. Good food, good service; in the second visit, exceptional service. Today clouded that a bit with a waiter who didn't provide silverware or coffee when needed, and missed a simple request. I won't let a new waiter get these guys down, though. Very comfortable ambiance and seating. My co-conspirator and I stopped on a road trip and he used their wifi to send a few emails. The waitstaff was very accommodating and quick. I ordered the wrong bacon and our waitress changed it out for us. The cold brew coffee, kale tonic, smoked bacon (we didn't get the maple syrup bacon but it looked great for sugar eaters), and goat cheese frittata were all excellent. read more

Stopped here a month or two back with my wife when we were out tooling around one day. (of course, the yelp reviews steered us over). I don't see the 4 stars here... decent coffee, decent food. I've had worse. It's not that the food was *bad*. it was.. umm.. good. I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews. Potatoes looked like they should taste good (they say they are not frozen), but they didn't really have alot of flavor. A bit dry.. My wife did like her pancakes, but was with me on the 3 start review. Service was so so, they plop a coffee pot down in front of you so you don't have to wait which is nice, but makes their job easier as well, so they don't have to check with you very often. A bit pricey too for what you got, but I guess the location counts for some of that. Too many really good cafes out there to waste my calories and money on a 3 star place. If I'm back in Mequon again, I'll try someplace else hoping to find the elusive 5 star breakfast cafe. read more

First Watch is one of my go-to's for breakfast. Coffee is great - they bring a pot to the table even if you are the only one drinking it. The pancakes are huge and delicious. They will accommodate substitutions to your plate. Servers are good. Lots of healthy options. read more

Being Father's Day I understand restaurants are busy so I put my name on the waitlist before I even left the house. We only had 3 people in our party and when I placed my name on the list it said a 15-20 minute wait which was perfect for the amount of time to drive to the restaurant. I was able to check in right after arriving but then we ended up waiting for quite some time. I saw people coming in after us and being seated before us. I was told the day before that the restaurant did not take reservations so I knew these people should not be getting seated first. After my father complained we finally got a table and we were able to order right away. Got our drinks, finished our drinks and still waited for our food. From the time we walked in the door to the time our food came was over an hour. And I shouldn't say "Our" food came because only my father's food came and then my mother's food came out. I had to wait a few more minutes and then only received my side of bacon. When my dish finally came to the table my father was already done eating and my mother was halfway done with hers. I realized that my order was not right but could not get the waiter's attention because he was already on his way back to the kitchen. I decided to eat it anyway because I was hungry and had already waited this long. The food was just ok and was cold. The waiter never came back to check on us after my food was brought out, only to bring the check. We will not be coming back here again. read more

My favorite is the power bowl with quinoa this is so yummy my daughters favorite is the orange juice but it's mixed with other stuff so it's unique and very good I would give you 10 stars if I could but will settle for five it's a very good I've never had a bad breakfast or lunch there read more

Found this gem quite by accident. While traveling to Green Bay we stopped for gas then drove around looking for a place for breakfast. Didn't understand the name but did notice a fork on the outside sign. I'm so glad we did. The place is very nice and clean and the food was excellent. We both had the biscuits and turkey gravy. I don't remember our servers name but she was terrific. If our travels ever take us back to this area you betcha I'm going stop in for what will be some fantastic fare. read more

4 stars for the food/menu and price...great healthy options in a sea of unhealthy food in wisconsin (which i love when i come back home, don't get me wrong...just not every meal out). the fruity chicken was perfect...tons of fresh fruit with a side of tasty chicken salad. i was also impressed by the gluten-free listings/offerings (they created a g/f power bowl for my girlfriend, which also was really good). 3 stars for the service and ambiance. i didn't like that it felt like a denny's inside, the server was a bit too inattentive considering the place wasn't busy, and we had a huge hassle using the coupon deal. the staff didn't actually scan it or keep a list of which #s were used. they just mark it used on your phone. i forgot my password to yelp, creating a long hassle of retrieving it and re-logging in, ugh...partly my fault too, but was just a 5 minute hassle when i had the coupon # for them already. overall a solid experience and great food for the price. i'd def go back if i'm in the area looking for a quick, healthy meal. read more

Went here over my lunch hour and the waitress recommended the Pecan Dijon salad, which was amazing. (I do believe that's the first time I've used the word "salad" and "amazing" in the same sentence). Brought my husband and son with me next time I went back. My son (age 12) ordered French Toast for lunch and my husband ordered 'The Athlete' omelet. I had a 1/2 Pecan Dijon salad and 1/2 Grilled Turkey sandwich. My sandwich was as tasty as my salad. Remarkable. Delicious toast, bacon, etc. yum! My son and husband's meals were unremarkable. I made the mistake of letting them try mine. My husband will order a sandwich next time he goes and my son plans to order exactly what I ordered. Green tea was also yummy. We drove past this shopping mall and I noticed this restaurant's name. Curious, I checked it out online as we have a monthly breakfast outing with a group and brought it to the attention of the others. Today we gave it a try and everyone seemed very pleased with the menu items. I had the French Toast and the bread was very large! My brother had the biscuits and gravy and really liked it too. Others had the breakfast sandwich, the traditional breakfast. All remarked how much food they were given. Many healthy options too. The service for the 7 of us was excellent. Well worth a trip. They are only open until 2:30 p.m. as this is a breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant. Will have to try the lunch next! read more

This is the first time in a while that I give a 5-star review! Everyone should always look at a menu before trying something new so they know what to expect and what kind of food the restaurant serves. My husband and I ordered a large orange juice, coffee, Belgium waffle with a side of turkey sausage, and the special Steak and egg hash. Hands down on the person who made the idea of steak and egg hash and the cooks making it because it was beyond amazing, I found myself enjoying and savoring all of the flavors in it! The steak was cooked perfectly and so were the seasoned potatoes. The serving size was good and filled me up. My husband enjoyed his waffle, it was soft and rich and the berry compote was delicious, along with the exquisite butter! The sweet compote was a good combination with the salt in the butter, they complimented each other. The turkey sausage tasted perfect and had a small kick to it. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed, wasn't too sweet or too acidic. My coffee was so delicious and they give you a big mug with the coffee at the end of the table for refills. The modern look inside gave off a very calming and relaxing vibe, it was a very clean place. My waitress was excellent! She opened the door for us, took us to our table and even helped me choose my breakfast since I was indecisive. We have a family owned restaurant and as a sous-chef, I see all the work the owner has put into this place, congratulations! The cooks are doing an amazing job! Awesome awesome awesome! read more

Awful coffee! Strong and bitter. Staff does not make a good first impression. Breakfast there this a.m. was unusual. Why would they serve crepes with a torn muffin and a dry bowl of granola on the side as a combination? Empty at 8:45 should have clued us in that we should have stopped at the Wooden Goose up the road where the lot was full of cars. Not returning for a host of feelings and experience. It's nice to have another breakfast option in the area with some unique items - not a lot of places serve breakfast dishes with avocado (yum). Food seems to arrive pretty quickly. The pancakes are HUGE, so for anyone thinking you only get one, well it fills your plate. The only downside is service - I've dined here 3 times and the servers have not been overly friendly, which I don't understand in an industry that is paid from tips. Just there this past Thursday around lunch time and the man sitting us asked where we would like to sit. A friend and I were there with our 2 toddlers and we were looking for the area that would be out of the way of other diners. The man seating us just seemed to kind of lead us around the dining room and didn't offer much in terms of guidance, just seemed he wanted us to seat ourselves. Another trend I've noticed recently in restaurants, this one included is the server dropping off the bill without asking if we would like anything else. I def. think customers should be asked if they would like anything else before the bill is dropped off. I really like the food and I would rate higher stars with better and friendlier service. read more

I went here my first time on Saturday, April 20th and had a great experience! I was given a gift card here and we decided to have brunch. My first thought regarding their brunch menu was that it was very diverse! There was so much to choose form. My second thought, was how "clean" and healthy our breakfasts were. Their food is not greasy or salty, which I appreciated a lot. Our waitress was fantastic. I forgot her name, but she was in her mid-20's, blonde and extremely friendly. I was just getting over the flu, and had requested a sprite for my beverage. Before we left, she brought me a to-go cup of sprite to take with me. :) The service was fantastic and the food was fantastic! I had a belgian waffle with a side of scrambled eggs, and a cup of fruit. My date had the biscuits with turkey sausage and gravy. Both dishes were fantastic. read more

Good food, mediocre service. I live close to First Watch and my family likes the food. We have visited a couple of times in the past few weeks. The food is good however the service leaves a lot to be desired. I chalked it up to our server the first time but two times in a row indicates a trend to me. Failure to take drink orders, not knowing the menu, not providing drink refills or water for the table are just a few examples. Comparable food is available next door with better service.
