We have been to first watch a few times and it has always been busy but this time our service wasn't great. We were sat down and about ten minutes later another couple was sat next to us. They were greeted with water and were asked for their orders before we had even been greeted by a server. We felt completely ignored the whole time and had about three different servers. We ended up having to go to the front counter to grab our check because no one would bring us our check and we even skipped on getting a to go box. All in all we felt very unwelcomed there which is unfortunate because the food is good. read more

I was in town for a few days and decided to Ive this place a try. I loved the welcoming feeling as I walked into the restaurant. The place has a country feel to it which is nice to get especially coming from a big city back home. The staff was super friendly and helped to answer any of our questions. We placed our drink order and needed a few extra minutes to decide from the variety they had on the menu. I finally settled on the chickechanga. It was amazing! We've been looking for a new breakfast place for awhile, and I think we've found it. Family really liked First Watch. The restaurant it self was really nice and clean. Service was also really good. The menu was awesome, a lot of variety and everything sounded great. We made sure to order a few extra sides just for variety. I first tried it yesterday with the people I work with as a special holiday breakfast. I instantly fell in love with everything about the place, and then the food came out. If there is a word in any language that means more than love, then that's what I felt. I had the Italian omelette. Perfect food! I couldn't wait to eat there again. I took my wife this morning and again it was perfect in every way. She had the traditional and I had the classic eggs Benedict. We also wanted to try the gluten free French toast. All absolutely perfect! Bree was our server and she was one of the best I ever had, and I eat out a lot. She was sweet and helpful which was such a breath of fresh air! First visit was disappointing to say the least. We got a table immediately but no wait staff assigned to us. After watching others who came in after us get waited on, we checked and they'd missed us. Server apologized profusely, then took our order right away. Brought coffee after 3 more minutes. We waited and waited for food after waitress promised a quick turnaround. No luck. After being in the place for 35 minutes with only a cup of coffee, we dropped $5 for the coffee and left! Never did see our waitress or food after giving our order. The First Watch at this location is better than the one off of 72nd and Pacific in my opinion. The fried egg sandwich with avocado was really good, as were the potatoes. The waffle was not that great and a little chewy and dry. Iced coffee wasn't very strong either but the hot coffee, kids meals and healthy menu items we tried have been good so far. First Watch is ok. The food is alright, nothing to write home about. I do like their outdoor dining area during the spring and summer, it's an ok place to go get a cup of coffee. Wouldn't avoid it and may go again, but also wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it as there wasn't anything that stood out to me as excellent or unique. read more

Went on a Saturday right at lunch and didn't have to wait at all to be seated. The space was a lot bigger than I expected and they had plenty of tables for larger parties from what I could tell. I ordered one of their skillet hashes and asked for no onions because of an allergy. My waiter brought my meal and it turned out that the potatoes already came with onions in the mix so I couldn't eat it... I ordered the power quinoa breakfast bowl instead and it was delicious and juuuust light enough! When the check came, our waiter had comp'd my meal! It was so nice of him -- I wasn't at all upset about the mix up. Coffee was delicious. Food was fresh and light, yet filling. Service was friendly and not too overbearing. I recently had the pleasure of dining at First Watch for breakfast, and while this was not my first visit, it was quite possibly the most important. I woke up on this October Sunday with the intent of running a half marathon that a friend and I had foolishly registered for months ago. I even went so far as to walk down to the start line to collect my registration packet, but the blustery cold immediately sent me back to my bed. As I attempted to fall back asleep and push aside all thoughts of cardiovascular activity, I thought about how nice a banana walnut pancake from First Watch sounded. I tried to ignore my desire for this illustrious pancake, but alas I could not shake my need. I contacted my friend, who had also skipped the half-marathon, and we decided to have breakfast together to commiserate over our obvious commitment issues. As always, the restaurant was packed full of beautiful Midwest people who just want a nice breakfast, but our wait was not long for a table. The host must have known we were VIP, as they sat us at a booth near a window, where we could watch the snow fall and laugh at those who had actually run the half-marathon. We ordered some fresh juices (can't remember which ones) to boost our sense of health and wellness, and then ordered 3 dishes to share, including the Banana Walnut Pancake of My Dreams. It was delicious! As was the rest of the food we devoured. Our server was nice! Can't remember his name, but he facilitated an absolutely delightful experience for us. I will always think of this restaurant fondly, as it provided a safe haven for wannabe athletes and runners, like myself and my dear friend. And you know what? I had high hopes for this restaurant. The fresh squeezed orange juice had an odd spice in it. When we mentioned it the server denied the spice and said it was because it was fresh orange juice. Don't expect standard breakfast options here- my husband was underwhelmed. Poached eggs were undercooked and when he requested a replacement egg over medium, it still had uncooked white. My son ordered the carrot cake pancake and was told there were no nuts in it, but got an itchy mouth - we found tiny bits of walnut or pecan in it. The food was otherwise good quality and tasted good- but I was surprised that the biscuits and gravy came with a brown sausage gravy instead of country gravy.
