Visited this location today with my fiancé to get our breakfast fix! Service - 4 - the place was pretty empty but service was quick! I wouldn't say it was anything over the top but what you would expect - generally attentive and food came out quick Food - 3 - I think overall the food is fine and consistent breakfast food. I got the trifecta with scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, and blueberry pancake. Eggs and sausage were fine - just like you'd make at home but I didn't want to make a home today! Pancake is large with many fresh blueberries! The jam on the side was disappointing (tasted "fake" blueberry) so skipped it and opted just for butter and syrup. My fiancé got the spring hash special. He felt it was a little heavier than expected and it was very skimpy on the protein (al pastor) and heavy on the carbs (potatoes). He said he wouldn't get a hash next time. I also found the regular drip coffee to be expensive ($3.69) - I know it's "unlimited" but it's just basic coffee, the price felt a little high (and not posted on the menu). Overall, a fine experience. Has a decent sized menu that would work for many types of people. Would head here again if we wanted breakfast and not make it at home. read more

Overall pleased with my experience here! Somehow didn't need to wait for a table and I came around 10 am. There are a ton of options on the menu- I highly recommend getting the million dollar bacon and splitting it with a friend! Best bacon I have ever had I was really surprised by how soft and sweet it was. I also got the seasonal steak and eggs hash, which was pretty good but the steak was done too well & the cheese made the dish a little too heavy for me. Service was a little questionable. I felt like our server was rushing us the entire time (I understand it's a busy restaurant with lines but you don't rush people who are still clearly in the middle of eating..) and he was not friendly like, at all. This was honestly the worst experience that I have ever had at any first watch. I have been to most first watch's from Orlando to Nj and this time really bothered me. I waited almost 23 minutes for a waitress to come to my table. After stopping another waitress someone finally came over named Joanne. She was nice and took my order. I told her I was in a rush and needed my food quickly and she gestured like that was an impossibility, but that she would do her best. I ordered the salmon frittata and asked for my salad to be put in a to go container. I guess they couldn't make that happen. But I didn't complain. I was meeting a guy from out of town so I just had my drink and food and paid so I could go in with my day. After she left the check I never saw my waitress again so I had to leave the rest of my food on the table. No one ever came to help me. When we walked up to pay the bill I used my card and the other guy wanted change to leave a tip. He asked could he get change and the woman never answered him. I asked and she said "once he pays, I can make change for you!" When I asked were they understaffed to try and understand what transpired today. She said "I just work here!" Needless to say today was not a good day! I have been to this location in the past about 15 months ago and I did not have the same experience. I completely understand COVID and everything else going on, but without an explanation or being able to understand the lack of service I am left with no other resource. I met a friend today at First Watch in Rockville. It was only my second visit there. We chose a booth inside, although they have outside seating too. It was 11:00, and their menu offers both breakfast and lunch options. I am doing Weight Watchers, so I am calorie conscious. At least in Montgomery County, the calories are printed on the menu, which is nice. I settled on the Benedict Florentine. It has two poached eggs, fresh leaf spinach, tomato, and sliced avocado. It comes with a side of greens instead of potatoes. So it was just the kind if thing I was looking for. It also was delicious. Our server was great. I love this place and the food but do not eat here often based on the fact that they do not have any organic items on the menu other than their mixed greens and anything that comes with the mixed greens as that is the only organic items. I have been in search for a place that will serve an organic breakfast..is that too much to ask? An organic cage free omelette with organic veggies made with avo oil (ok the oil might be asking too much) FYI cage free eggs is not what it seems. The chickens are still in crowded, very stressful and crammed conditions..yes not in cages but barely any room to walk or move. I've seen it with my own eyes. They are stressed out and sooper crammed..so not real difference except for trying to sell people who don't know better the words "cage free" in hopes that some who don't know any better will take that as they are organic or imagine they are roaming around a beautiful green pasture. I want to love this place so bad! It once was my favorite breakfast/brunch spot but no organic items. We are living in 2025 and there is def people who care about eating organic. So many of my Yelp friends have checked into this place for breakfast/brunch, so naturally curiosity got the best of me and I had to check it out. I ordered the breakfast platter (The Trifecta, or something) with a carrot cake multigrain pancake, a chicken sausage patty, and two scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. I was a little intimidated by the words "multigrain" and "pancake" being used together in the same face, but man was that a good pancake! It was large and definitely big on that delicious carrot cake flavor. The chicken sausage patty was pretty good and the eggs were cooked just right. this is my favorite timeless brunch place in the DMV that i've been coming to ever since i was in high school in 2016 (ish)! it feels homey and creates a great atmosphere to catch up with/chill with your friends. there is a bit of a wait on weekends (~30-45 minutes), but i never had trouble snagging a table when i went on no-school/late start weekdays in high school. for parking, there's an underground garage (enter near dawson's market) that has 2 hours free parking. in terms of food, i don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, but i'm a particular fan of the lemon ricotta pancakes, roast beef & havarti sandwich + sweet honey pecan salad combo, farm stand breakfast tacos, and whatever seasonal donut holes they have (the dipping sauces are to die for). also, i feel like brunch food usually isn't conducive to takeout, but first watch does it extremely well. i came here a few times for takeout during covid and even had a picnic once. overall, solid food at reasonable prices in a comforting atmosphere. what more can i ask for :,) read more

Consistently great food! I love this location because it's in Rockville Town Center, which is a great place for a post-meal stroll. No wait on a Monday morning around 9:30am. I got the chickchanga, which was delicious. Lots of chicken, chunks of avocado, and the vera cruz sauce is sauce so good!! I switched the fruit for dressed mixed greens because the fruit portion is actually tiny (about 2 tablespoons) - the greens brought some freshness and acidity to the meal. The seasoned potatoes were great, although the onions were extremely, EXTREMELY browned and crisp. I thought it was the perfect amount of food. My friend got the frittata rustica. I tried a bite and it was good, but it seemed a little on the smaller side. It had a generous layer of cripsy cheese on the bottom, and the veggies were tasty as well. The ciabatta was also kinda small, but heavily buttered. I used a BOGO from signing up for their Sun eClub, which made the meal only $11+ pre-tip!! So amazing! I LOVE breakfast and First Watch is really good at doing breakfast food. We had a little confusion trying to call and make reservations and was told the wait time would be much longer than expected. After putting ourselves on the waitlist and checking in, we were seated almost right away. It took a while for our waitress to come by, but once she did, she showed up with coffee and water and we ordered right away because it was crowded and we knew the wait would be a little long. We ordered a carrot cake pancake to share and I tried to get the short rib Benedict but they were out so I got the smoked salmon Benedict instead. The Benedicts come with greens and you can swap out for potatoes. Trying to be healthy, I stuck with the greens. My boyfriend got the mushroom frittata which is also from the same special menu as the braised rib Benedict. I had regrets as soon as I saw the greens - they were barely dressed. Taking a bite, I tasted a hint of some sort of vinaigrette but mostly it was like eating greens with no dressing. Frankly, vegetables are just the vehicle for getting dressing to my mouth, so this was disappointing and I wished I got the potatoes. The smoke salmon Benedict was good, though. Always a long wait of 35-45 mins and busy on the weekends; I'd recommend downloading the First Watch app to get in line. The greens were just OK, pretty plain. The salmon eggs benedict was pretty good! Bread could have been crispier, but the poached egg and smoked salmon were delicious. The hollandaise was just OK I'd say; didn't have a strong flavor, it was overpowered by everything else I think. The service was pretty slow. It took awhile to have our orders taken; had to flag down our waitress but we waited 10 minutes to be noticed. The food took awhile to come out as well. They were nice though. You pay at the front. In the past, I usually order the bacado omelet; comes with everything I like and is delicious! I went here one day last week. I was actually going to the bagel store or the baguette store I mean, and I saw this place. So I went and tried it and I wish I would've kept walking to the baguette store. I asked for the eggs with cheddar cheese, scrambled soft, and I asked for my home fries to be crispy but they were burnt. It's a difference between crispy and burnt. I was really disappointed because I don't eat burn food so that's why they got two stars for me. Also, they forgot to give me something to eat with, so I guess I was supposed to eat with my fingers, I don't think I'll go here again for the price I went to McDonald's. Be sure to join the waitlist ahead of time on Yelp since this place is super busy! It's located inside Rockville Town Square and is only open during the day so no dinner. I came here with a friend a little before noon, and the waitlist on Yelp said there were 12 parties ahead of us. After checking in with the hostess, she informed us that the wait would be ~20 min, so we just walked around until I got the text notifying us that our table was ready. The menu is expansive and includes both breakfast and lunch items, including 2 For You specials, which is the same concept as Panera You Pick 2. The ambiance is like a modern yet rustic country diner. Our server was really sweet and attentive. I had the Farmhouse Hash ($10.99): Two cage-free eggs any style atop fresh, seasoned potatoes, bacon, avocado, house-roasted onions and tomatoes, Cheddar and Monterey Jack. Served with whole grain artisan toast. My friend, who is vegetarian, had the Tri-Athlete ($9.29): Egg white omelet with house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and green chillies. Served with housemade pico de gallo, whole grain artisan toast, all-natural house preserves and fresh fruit. We both liked our choices and ate every last bite. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the toast was. There wasn't much avocado but the rest of it made up for that. Did walk in for a party for 4 on a Saturday morning. Didn't mind the wait too much as the overall vibe of the place was really nice when we walked in. The hostess was kind and put our names down for the waitlist. There's free coffee and water on the side while you wait which was definitely nice. You can be inside waiting for a table and people can get in line in front of you because they waitlisted using their app. No one tells you this; you have to figure it out if it's your first time eating at this restaurant. I waited 1 and 1/2 hours and we continue to ask questions but it wasn't until we start seeing people get ahead of us and another patron told us this information, not the greeters/hostesses. As a matter of fact they told us it would be only a 30 minute wait. Poor business model as a lot of restaurants are struggling to stay afloat during this post pandemic environment. The wait staff also take too long to clean the tables for the next customer. They really don't care if you stay and continue to wait or get tired and leave. read more

Went to First Watch in Rockville for a Sunday morning breakfast date on a crisp, fall day. Arrived early and there was no wait. Staff was great. I ordered the Trifecta, which consisted of a Belgian waffle, two eggs (scrambled with cheese), and bacon. A hot cup of Earl Grey tea hit the spot, as it was really cold and windy outside. My date ordered the Avocado Toast with Scrambled Eggs. He added sausage, hash browns, and coffee. All in all, everything tasted great and the restaurant appears to run like a well-oiled machine. So far, I've visited two locations in Maryland and one in Florida. Both food and service are consistently good. We have already planned our next visit. read more
