Used to go here when it was the Egg & I. Tried the place twice and not impressed. Tried to make it a snowflake eatery. I had a hard time finding the minuscule serving of eggs on my plate. 1st Watch might do well in Seattle or San Francisco, but this is Texas. FIRST Watch had special omletes, frittata, salads on the side of your omelette which has the most delicious lemon vinaigrette dressing. I Am Not A Vinaigrette type of person but. It was awesome. The omelet was light and tasteful. Ham, potatoes and other ingredients inside was perfect. Great thick nutty bread slathered with butter. I just loved it. I ordered the tri - fecta which comes with two cage free eggs , your choice of meat , with a turkey options and a Belgian waffle or multigrain pancake . On the side I got seasoned potatoes which were so good as well . My friend being a pescatarian ordered the frittata rustica which is a salmon omlette with a green argula and spinach salad and a piece of bruschetta topped with butter . It's was absolutely amazing ! We've been coming here for quite a while now. It has always been absolutely amazing. They have a more than fair price for what you get. The food is never bland and I haven't once been unsatisfied by a dish there. It is also worth pointing out that Matthew is one of the best servers we have come across in any restaurant we've been to. He kept our drinks refilled and went above and beyond to make sure the service we received was well above average. Highly recommend this place to anyone. I placed a to go order by phone. I picked up my order and went home and I was missing a part of my order. I called the GM told me that he would get the order ready for me. I drove all the way back to the location from Live Oak. And when I got there they didn't even have the correct part of my order. I even told them what I had ordered and what was missing. They didn't say anything like I'm sorry that I you had to Come back up here. When you don't fill an order correctly the correct response or good customer service is to at least offer apology and a refund or something to the customer. read more

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very heart warming when you first walk in. There was a slow service so there weren't many tables to attend to. I was welcomed properly and with respect. The menu look like a lot but I enjoyed the design. After ordering food, my drink and food took about 20-35 minutes wait which was a bit upsetting due to not being busy. Service sucked even from management! Got seated and our server asked if we were ready didn't ask what we wanted for drinks. Ordered our food and when it came out one of our plates were cold and our sausage links & bacon burnt. Server automatically brought management when we expressed the plate was cold. Everyone else ate while that plate was still not ready. Never once asked if we needed a refill. Brought the plate out from someone who wasn't our server. Sat for a good 15 minutes before she brought our ticket and didn't asked how we wanted it so had to wait another 10 mins to finally get her attention to correct and separate once she brought it back it was still wrong but we couldn't find her so we called management he asked how was everything and we explained our concerns and how she never checked on us he just ok I'll let her know didn't apologize or accommodate that burnt and cold plate and then offered us to go cups so we sat and waited about 10 mins again to see he was standing in the front and didn't bother to bring up the drinks he said he was going to get. Had to get our ticket fixed up front and never even saw our server again. Over all services can be improved especially for the price of the place. Should've stuck to ihop. Definitely won't be returning. Won't put the name of the server out there just beware of the service. read more

I love Eggs Benedict. A few months ago we went to The Egg & I, Thousand Oaks/281. The coffee was so smooth...delicious. They had gluten free bread too. No muffin (& they are available all over town) but the bread was ok. I researched the coffee (Community). Btw, I'm famous for making terrible coffee. This review is about First Watch at Park North (410 at Blanco). HUGE disappoint. Typical coffee...quality, but available for sale elsewhere in S.A. One of my eggs was "sunny-side" up...yuck. The eggs for Classic Benedict should be cooked, just so! Coffee was awful ($2.79). Service was inattentive, at best. Not crowded...April 20th at 2:56 pm. Checked with my friends regarding the one at Thousand Oaks/281. Similar experience with Classic Benedict & the coffee. Their service was stellar. I will not go back to either...I will say, however, the hamburger served in the next booth, looked & was reported to be yummy! My biggest disappointments were the service, the coffee & the undercooked egg. Most everything, right? Note: The serving plate was REALLY different...rectangular & rather narrow...a real "trip", keeping the food on it. Their salad was fresh & crisp & slightly less difficult to keep on the plate (?). Soooo good! An ENTIRE pot of coffee was only $5, making out meals about $11 each, pretty cheap for an organic joint like First Watch! The restaurant is really cute, too. Though the veggie burger here is mediocre, the avocado that they included in it really made it good. This place is nice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, which is good because it serves all three. They also seemed to be run very inefficiently as we were told there would be a 30 minute wait but approximately 1/3 of the tables were empty. Even after we were seated several tables in our area remained empty. Not sure if they were short staffed but it seems like they could be a little more prepared for the Sunday brunch rush.
