The first time I had Five Star Pizza it was ok, I'm always about giving food another try just in case it was an off day, but when I ordered a pizza for delivery the other night and it was burnt black and dried out I was extremely disappointed that a place would even allow it to go out the door. We threw the pizza away and after two try's with both times being bad experiences I'm sorry to say I will never order a pizza from Five Star again as there are too many pizza places to choose from that take greater pride in delivering a good product to have to ternate what I received from them.. While staying in Saint Augustine we ran into a pinch. We fell asleep early and missed dinner. Thankfully these guys are open till 3am and delivered us a great pie! Would love to say that he one star was for the quality of food but I was never able to order. The lady that answered the phone was rude. We were staying at a condo on vacation and wouldn't take or order without a mailing address. We told her what condo we were in and she yeah I know exactly where it but I must have a mailing address. I believe the xl 2 topping comes as a "12 cut".I request for it to be a "6"cut. U know........a legit NY style slice,that u fold. Then the tip of the slice folds over the front and u feel that lil oil slide from ur hand down your wrist........lol better catch it! This was my first time eating here. My parents who live in St Augustine love this pizza and took my friend & I here to try it out. We got the special they had going on of 2 large pizzas with 2 toppings - forgive me but I have no clue what the price was cause my dad paid for it. One pizza had extra cheese & onions & the other pizza had pepperoni & bacon. We also got the Pepperoni rolls. It took no time at all for them to make the pizza & rolls, maybe 13 minutes if that. You can watch them toss the dough in the air & everything thru the hugs plate glass windows, which I found really cool. Let me tell you this was the best pizza I have had in a LOOOOONG time. The bacon was really crispy - something I am not used to with the "pizza chains". The pepperoni rolls were really good with the dough a little crisp on the oustide & the inside was really soft - reminded me a of a croissant. There were 7-8 pepperoni slices inside each roll. We will definitely be going back here when we visit my mom & dad in St Augustine. read more

Delicious pizza delivered to our hotel room for just .99 cent delivery. We ordered from here twice on two different nights. On the first delivery, the man was very friendly and offered us change. The pizza was hot. Delivery man gave us lots of seasoning packets, plates and napkins. On the second delivery, the woman took our money and didn't offer change. My husband stopped her before she ran off and told her we wanted our change. She turned snotty and had to head back to her car to get the change. No seasoning packets, plates or napkins. The pizza wasn't nearly as hot as the night before. She should be fired for trying to steal from us. We don't mind giving a tip (we did for the man on the first night), but she shouldn't just expect it. read more

Five Star Pizza advertises they're better, cheaper, and faster than anyone else in town, and they very well might be right on all accounts. I generally prefer to get NY style pizza from a few local joints in town, but Five Star recently came to the rescue. On New Year's Eve, I was with my wife and some friends, stumbling home to our hotel after a night of fun, and we decided pizza was a must. Oh wait, it's 2:30 am, who's going to deliver now? Oh yes, Five Star it is! These guys are open LATE, so I gave them a ring, placed the order, and 20 minutes later, the delivery guy rolled up with two hot, fresh, delicious pizzas. These pizzas were good- crust was tasty, good sauce, and loaded with cheese and toppings. It even passed the morning after test, when you're still drunk and needing food- cold pizza can be the best food or worst food ever. Five Star pizza held up, for sure. I'm not sure I would order their pizza all the time, but when it's late and you need pizza, these guys will be there to deliver. Also recommended if you're hosting a party and need a lot of pies- you definitely get your money's worth at Five Star. I really enjoyed my pizza from this place, and the next time I'm drunk and ready to chow down on some hot pizza pies- I will give five star a ring. read more

When I order a pie for the first time from a pizza joint, the cheese pizza tells you all you need to know about the quality. The food was very good; however the customer service reminded me of a bad New Jersey truck stop. I placed my order from a nearby hotel room; the girl who placed my order could not identify the hotel from the name and proceeded to get annoyed when she had to wait 30 seconds for the actual address. She asked what type of dressing we wanted (which was not delivered, the delivery person said it costs 50 cents for that)........ the pizza was delivered with no napkins, no plates and no dressing. We ordered a pizza delivery to our hotel. It was fast and hot. The pizza was great. I ordered a side of garlic butter dipping sauce and ate at least half of the sauce. Last night I woke up with severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, and fever, and had it for the rest of the night. I feel bad this morning as well and will be calling management. My wife who did not eat the garlic butter sauce was just fine. Fluke maybe? I don't know... But my bowels are hating them. ** Just spoke with management and they are providing me a meal at no charge.
