I don't have any complaints, I believe there was just a misunderstanding of my order. The good and service was good. I dont like the coffee however, very bland and watery, no flavor. We were seated fairly quickly as well. Plenty nice sized booths. I'll come back to try other options.

Great little old school dinner with great hospitality! Everyone was so friendly! It's a nice, clean old school setting of a place that's been around since the 50's, per our host. The food was solid and the portions were great! The country fried steak was good with a thick and creamy gravy! The coffees kept coming and waitress was very attentive! Great place for a solid traditional breakfast!

Flapjacks feels like stepping into a time capsule -- in a charming way. The servers were warm and welcoming, but the food didn't totally wow me. My Mexican Skillet (mushroom edition) was a 7/10, and the iced hazelnut latte stole the show at 8/10. Cute diner, nice people, okay food. Solid 3/5.

I just dropped into this place while waiting for my car being serviced and it is a popping place. I got seated pretty quick and looked at the bug menu selections for breakfast and lunch . I decided on getting the Farmers Scramble and the pictures others took didn't do justice on the large portion of the scramble. The service was great and they kept filling my coffee without asking.

When you come in, there's a coat rack near the door. There's a waiting area to the right with limited seating. There's some tables (not booths) in a separate room in the back and an awkward booth facing the waiting area. On the opposite wall, there's another booth. There's some seating at the counter near to the cash register for a party of 2 on one side, and a party of 4 on the other side. Those are the only tables actually facing a TV, but they're also right in front of the kitchen. Staff will constantly be walking in front of you and having their backsides turned to you. All the other booths are along the wall on the left side. If you want to watch TV in those seats, you'd have to turn your neck to the left or right. When it comes to the food, I think it's great. I've had their eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, and strawberries. I don't like that the fruit topping for the waffles comes hot. You have to wait for it to cool down, and then the waffles get all soggy. I just ask for fresh fruit, which they only offer strawberries. They do give enough whipped cream, butter, and syrup for the waffles. The food is affordable, and the portions are nice. For the drinks, I've only had their mimosas. They taste great, but they're more like juice. I hardly taste any sparkling wine. The service is okay. The food comes out quickly, but when you need a staff member, it takes a while to get their attention. Even when I'm waiting for the check, it can take several minutes to get the receipt. It's awkward to stand at the register and wait for a staff member to ring you (and a couple of other people) up on the weekend because there's already a lot people in the waiting area, so there's just a crowd of people standing there. If you're the one sitting in the waiting area, you have people's backsides in front of your face. Despite all that, I do like this diner. I hope they add more fresh fruit topping options and add more sparkling wine to the mimosas. I need to come back and try items on their lunch menu, though.

Cute little spot to go to. It looks like a local little diner. We were seated right away and we could see the kitchen counter area and the servers could talk to us from both sides of the booth. The servers looked like they all work together and help each other with the tables. The food came out quick and steaming hot. They were all good portions. My son had a different menu than us sand his had the breakfast special which our menus didn't have. We got the receipt and you can scan a QR code to pay your bill and leave which is nice. Good place for breakfast.

Fantastic old school diner with friendly employees and fantastic customer service. They are known for their pancakes, or flapjacks. We ordered their daily special of carrot cake flapjacks, and their regular flapjacks with strawberry fruit topping and whipped topping. The pancakes were huge! We couldn't finish them. We also got eggs and a sausage patty that we split. They have a great deal on their mimosa flight with 4 different flavors to try. I would definitely come back and try some of their other options, come hungry!

Out and about with my daughter and we decided to try a new place for breakfast. We came across flapjacks on Google and wanted to give it a try. The service was fast and efficient. The food we got was okay. It was a good place for a quick stop. The coffee wasn't as strong as I'd like it but it was okay. Seems to be the spot for senior discounts and gatherings.

The weather was beautiful and sunny that we were seated outside the patio area. The wait wasn't too bad on a Saturday. About 45 minutes and knowing where we are on the waitlist and getting a text that our table is ready was a huge plus. The service was amazing. Kudos to the staffs! I ordered the B&B burger and it was delicious. Only downside of the burger was the bottom bun being soggy. Probably toast the bottom so it can hold on longer since this was juiciest burger we ever had. It was cooked well to my liking though. We had their lemonades and lychee lemonade was refreshing and delicious. The kids want to come back again and try out other different foods because they love it. They were already asking when we can come back. So we'll definitely come back again.

Not only was their regular team there working as hard as they could but other local chefs, bartenders, and friends came to help feed the community one more time. Unfortunately, I arrived right after 2pm and joined the line only to find out about fifteen minutes later that the had completely sold out of food. The owner N'Gina gave a beautiful speech and the restaurant started clearing out of regular diners. I stayed to give my thanks and was blown away by the community and love that came through. They were still serving drinks and you could see how much love there was for N'Gina and this amazing business. So many people came through just to say thank you and wish her luck on her future endeavours. I found a spot at the bar and hung out for a couple hours talking to other chefs, business owners, and customers and everyone was not ready to say goodbye to this amazing establishment and the incredible food N'Gina brought to the restaurant. Their team ended up giving me a bowl of their staff dinner- fries, mac and cheese and pulled pork and I was so thankful for one last taste of this amazing restaurant before they closed for good.

I'm such a fan of her food! My boyfriend and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon about an hour before closing, and to our surprise, the owner herself took our order -- such a treat! I ordered the shrimp po' boy with a side of fried cauliflower, while he got the double patty cheeseburger with mac & cheese. We also tried their house-made lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. Here's how everything rated: * Shrimp Po' Boy: 3.75/5 * Double Cheeseburger: 3.5/5 * Mac & Cheese: 4.5/5 * Fried Cauliflower: 3.5/5 The shrimp had a great crust, and that romesco sauce with the buttery fried cauliflower was seriously addictive. The burger had a nice kick thanks to the hot link tucked inside, and the mac & cheese? So creamy and cheesy--definitely a standout. The lemonade leaned more tart than sweet, and the Arnold Palmer was refreshingly solid. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. I loved that they kept the classic diner booths, vintage signs, and old-school decor--it all added to the charm, especially with the throwback jams playing in the background. Already planning my return to try the catfish sandwich, honey butter cornbread, and hopefully get my hands on one of their desserts next time--they were all sold out by the time we arrived! So you can tell how popular these items are, yum!

I hadn't been since last summer and was happy to return. Parking can be a bit hectic, but once you're inside, the atmosphere makes up for it. It's a family-owned spot, and you can feel it right away -- everyone is kind, welcoming, and takes the time to check in on you. We came for breakfast, but they also offer lunch and barbecue options, so there's plenty to choose from depending on when you go. They've also expanded and now have a location in Elk Grove. I ordered the French toast plate, which came with thick-cut slices of bread, eggs, and bacon. The French toast was soft on the inside with a nice golden finish, full of flavor without being overly sweet. The eggs were well seasoned, and the bacon was cooked just right. BB ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a side of grits. The burger was juicy with grilled onions and melted cheese, and the fries had that crispy, beer-battered texture. Everything came out hot and satisfying. Overall, a great spot for comfort food with genuinely friendly service. Definitely planning to come back -- especially for the biscuits and gravy next time.

Right away, Mama Goose (the waitress confessed this as her nickname) greeted me with a no nonsense and friendly attitude. This is a person you would hope to greet you, and at the same time you would never want to cross. The interior was very throwback to a time when this diner likely first experienced its hay-day several decades ago. Everything was clean, and the bathroom was so big, it was the size of my first apartment in San Francisco. Water refills were fast, and I ordered an omelette with no meat. It was very tasty, but the potatoes really stole the show with its perfectly crisp and seasoned portions. The prices are very fair/affordable. I felt welcomed here, just like I was visiting a friend in their home. It is clear that regular patrons keep coming back, and all are remembered by the staff. I highly recommend this experience!

The breakfast potatoes were near perfect....hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the middle. Just cut down on the seasoning, as the delicious potatoes were a tad salty. The food, service, and ambiance were all terrific and made for a comfortable, delicious experience we will be returning to soon. We had tried going there once before about 6 months ago, but the wait was too long for our schedule that day. Yesterday, our party of four showed up at 11, and the wait was only 10 minutes. Our server, Kristin, was amazing. She answered our questions perfectly and without hesitation; she was always there to refill iced tea and bring anything additional we needed - the service was flawless in every way. We were at a booth for four, and the booths are comfortable and clean. The layout of the restaurant is efficient, and perfect for the dining experience FSC is offering. And the food? Off the charts 5/5! I hadn't had pancakes in a long time, so I ordered the blueberry pancakes. The two pancakes were both massive and delicious. Fresh blueberries in the batter and on top, and they were perfectly ripe and flavorful. I can't envision anyone actually finishing all of it, but I was happy to take home leftovers. The pancakes were fluffy and light, among the best I have ever had. I also had a side of the house-cured bacon, which I requested crispy, and which arrived perfectly crispy and delicious. Mrs. K had the blue cheese burger and loved it. I was granted a taste, and I agreed. Juicy, prepared exactly as ordered, and served with exceptional fries that were crispy outside and soft inside. Our friends had various forms of eggs and bacon, including a dish FSC calls Beggin' For Bacon. The egg dishes looked perfect, and our friends confirmed they tasted as perfect as they looked. FSC gets a ton of 5-star reviews, and they deserve every one. We will be returning soon and often, and obviously, I highly recommend FSC for your next breakfast/lunch outing.

They are very attentive and all look like they are hustling. It is a wonderful experience to know that they care about their customers. Drinks are constantly refilled, and they constantly check in on you in a non annoying way. The food is where I disagree with most of the reviews here. My first time there I got the corned beef and hash. The corned beef was great, the potatoes could be so much better though. They need to be crisp and well seasoned, they were neither. Maybe you can ask for them extra crispy? The next time I visited I had a BBQ chicken sandwich. The chicken was kinda dry, the sauce tasted good though. I also didn't like how it was assembled, it seemed kinda tossed on the bun and sent out. They are so busy here, and I wish they would just take a little extra time in the kitchen to make the food as great as the service. This is like a 3.5 star, with the great service and the decent food. Would I ever come here out of choice? Probably not. Would I throw up a big fuss if friends wanted to come here? Nah, I'd go without issue. Maybe I haven't found my meal here yet.
