TLDR: Cute, clean, "chill" kind of area. There's 3 small tables, and a long bar table with 5 chairs. Not a lot of room but the ambience is fantastic. Coffee tastes great and reasonablly priced. I had very high hopes for this place so when we finally got to Austin I couldn't wait to get here. I got the Sunday Morning Ritual which was a cortado made with cinnamon toast crunch infused milk. It wasn't too sweet and was absolutely delicious. I would go back again just for this. My wife got their take on cold brew which was in between cold brew and an iced Americano and a shot of espresso. Both were very underwhelming. The iced coffee was flat and the espresso shot was bitter. It seems like the barista had not dialed in the shots that day. Since this was only my first time, I would go back and give them a chance again on the espresso shots. If in doubt, get the morning ritual which adds sweetness and can cover up a poorly pulled shot. read more

This adorbs coffee spot was a nice change than going to my usual. They had unique options in addition to the usual coffee and latte most places have. They serve cocktail style beverages that are really fun (served with coffee, no alcohol). Don't let the location scare you. It's up and coming, although at one point I had the "where AM I?" moment. My only complaint was that the place was rather small without much seating. After ten minutes of sitting inside I was feeling claustrophobic as the customers came in waves so I Ieft. This place is tiny. Don't stand around the door and creep on people who are trying to get in. Coffee is decent, drink menu is unique, iced americano (my go-to drink at new coffee shops) was really great. THE LIDS ARE AWFUL. Half my coffee dripped away after leaking from the lid. OHHHH it made me so angry. Ridiculous gripe I know but these lids were almost as bad as the biodegradable ones that are put on cups with hot coffee... I'll be back for their iced americanos...I'll bring my own cup next time. read more

I hella love this place. Patrick and Lorenzo are great. You can tell that they love coffee because of the great selection of beans and innovative drinks - they recently won Austin Chronicle's 'Coffee Innovation' award! They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly too. I feel like each time I come, I'm picking their brains about brewing coffee at home. One time, Patrick gave me some grounds to compare for home and pellets to clean out my coffee grinder. Friendly, passionate, and knowledgable folks. Very friendly guys running this cafe! I enjoyed my iced coffee, and The Morning Ritual (cortado infused with donuts) was on point! I really felt like I was drinking liquid donuts. They say they're looking at making drinks inspired by Momofuku Milk Bar so think something like fruity pebbles infused coffee. Yum. There's seating inside and outdoors, plus a clean bathroom. Fleet makes a fabulous addition to East Austin's cafe scene. I thank the coffee gods for bringing such a great small business to my neighborhood. The cafe offers a bunch of original coffee concoctions. I prefer the simple espresso drinks, especially the macchiato. The coffee is Goldilocks perfect: not too hot, not too cold, not too bitter. But on a hot day, the Claro is great: this is Fleet's lemony twist on an ice-coffee meets beer shandy (without the beer). If you are hungry Fleet offers pastries and tacos for breakfast. I'm not sure if there are all-day food offerings. The space on quiet stretch of Webberville road is small with a simple aesthetic: concrete, wood, tile, and glass. The shop's small size makes it more of a come and go place, where you drink coffee and catch up with friends, meet random friendly Austinites, lovers, ex-lovers (on second thought..), dogs, maybe even cats in strollers? Fleet Coffee finds itself situated on a burgeoning strip of Webberville, with modern architecture and large windows defining this new age of retail. Right next door, you could have a two-fer during your afternoon 'spro and beer combo; Dog and Duck has relocated next door to Fleet. Some folks from Medici made their way to the deep East to begin providing quality coffee below Figure 8. I can appreciate the way they have married design and coffee here at their new shop. The quarters are tight and small, but if you can land a spot, you could cozy up for a full work day here. Layout is not ideal for long hours, as it stands, but the coffee will keep you coming back. Some shops in town have fazed out Madcap as of late, but Fleet is using it to the best of its ability. The 2-person Chemex is also a nice addition to the menu; I always enjoyed how the larger portion tastes. read more

Spoke to one of the owners. Patrick was a wealth of knowledge and was an awesome host. We came for our spring break to get to know Austin. The espresso was delicious with an excellent mineral water (topochico) chaser. He made no question feel stupid and we felt completely at home. Lots of recommendation for where to spend our time drinking, listening to music, and eating in Austin and surrounding parts. Ambience: Awesome mellow/hipster music that makes a coffee shop feel like it should. The wifi is a plus as no one around this part of town offers it. Normally when you think of a coffee shop what comes to mind is a spacious room with dim lighting and a pretty big focus on the interior design. However with Fleet this notion has been turned on its head; for all the right reasons. The interior of Fleet is quite small, and while this may take away from being able to sit on some huge armchair and either pass out or space out on a laptop; it encourages the people in that space to converse with one another, or better yet the barista behind the counter. As is a hallmark of Lorenzo's attention to detail, the staff at Fleet are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the product they are serving & I highly recommend getting into conversations about the quality of the beans they receive, because they'd be more than happy to tell you. Since (as stated previously) the space is small I also recommend visiting during an off hour so you can enjoy the coffee without having to wait in a long line out the door, but no matter what, you're bound to have a great experience visiting Fleet. read more

My daughter and I went Monday morning to try their coffee since we saw lots of good reviews online. Ordered a latte and a regular cup of joe. First of all, no such thing as small, medium or large coffee (what's up with that) . No condiments like honey or sugar just a clear syrup that gave me a nasty taste afterwards. The only thing we did enjoy was their breakfast tacos but even those were not theirs, but from Veracruz Tacos. We ended up going in search for that amazing Veracruz place that was listed on the wrapped label, wish we would've had coffee there instead. But overall this place was not nearly close to taste like Halcyon's, Mozarts, Epoc, Austin Java and Monkey Nest (oh yeah I know what good coffee taste like) I'm sorry but this place was too overrated and not worth the price. read more

Great coffee here! A friend tipped us off to this spot and we were visiting Austin for a few days so we wanted good coffee. The baristas were friendly and welcoming, my pour over and my husband's cappuccino were textbook, and we enjoyed seeing the locals come and go (it was a weekday morning.) We also had 1 taco each which was the perfect small bite to break our fast with coffee, and our 2-year-old daughter enjoyed her yogurt while people and dog-watching from our little table indoors. The interior is pretty small with a bar along the window and 3 little tables, but probably a good spot to do some work or just have your coffee and go. The outdoor patio is out the front for additional seating but it was a dreary, cold day so we opted to stay inside. read more

Newest coffee shop in Austin (as of this post) and it's a great addition to the Webberville area. Now the only major downside is it's size. This really isn't the type of place to go and hangout or try to get some work down as there are only about 3 tables and a counter area inside with something like 4 seats. There is also a table outside with about 6 seats (IIRC). That being said, the coffee selection is superb. Also, the area itself is being developed so there are things to see and do. You can take your coffee to go and just kind of wander. I got myself an almond chai latter and did juts that. Staff was super friendly too. I would definitely return sometime for a cup. read more

Over $6 for a pourover is pretty pricey. There are no prices posted. I frankly question if I wasn't charged double on purpose for whatever personal reason there may have been. So, just be sure you ask before you order if you think over $6 for a pourover is a bit much. I've seen it before, but it's not very common. Fleet, I'm glad that shops like you aren't obsolete. THE sweetest guys own and run this shop. Every time I've come they've been unbelievably warm and welcoming. Their drinks aren't ordinary caffeinated beverages but really have a special twist to them. They look like cocktails and are delicious. The E.T. is probably my favorite because of its citrus yet sweet notes and espresso / tonic water mixture but anything you order off their menu will be a delight. The presentation of each drink is flawless as well. For example, some are served in slim glass bottles and although the shop is very small, if you catch them later in the day, you'll probably have the whole place to yourself. Although the prices here are quite steep (you won't pay less than $5 or $6 for a drink), the environment and true craft that goes into these drinks makes that easily justifiable. PLEASE go visit these guys and make this spot shine like a star in Austin. It is undoubtedly (out of the 40-50+ coffee shops I've seen in Austin) a top 5 coffee shop. Bravo, and can't wait to keep being a supporter. If it's not clear already, this place is a 10/10. read more

The coffee was fine, and the staff wasn't particularly rude, which is for some reason is now a surprising quality in a coffeeshop. The space, however, is quite small and claustrophobic if there are any more than 2 customers in line; at that point the line is literally out the door. Sitting outside can be pleasant for some, but Texas heat gets the best of me, as does my need for outlets. I don't see this place as being any kind of community space/ideal hang out spot, but I guess it's perfect for the morning commuter, headed to their startup job they moved here for last week. read more

The croissants are soft and flaky and worth every single calorie. Easily the best selection of coffee beans in Austin. The staff is very knowledgable and make it easy to pick the best bag for me each time. After a few visits, they remembered my name and use it. After a few more visits, they remember my preferences on beans. The coffee they make is focused on the details and tastes incredible. They also have Vera Cruz tacos on demand. The feeling of community that Fleet brings is what most establishments strive for. They achieved it within a year of opening. This shop is one of my favorites in Austin and there is a ton of competition in this city! The space is beautiful. Nothing extravagant, just enough. The barista was welcoming and knowledgable about everything we inquired about, even the tea and its benefits. A lot of coffee shops I've been to tend to know a lot about their coffee, but that's where it stops. The iced tea my mom had was tasty and helped her upset stomach. Our espresso was wonderful. We also ordered two seasonal drinks that were both creative and well balanced. They weren't too crazy or overly sweet and both tasted great. I kind of wish I had one right now. read more

We walked in from getting off the plane exhausted and hungry. It was also rainy and cold outside. A few things from first impression- no parking, no friendly welcome, and barely any seats inside. We decided to stay because the Ritual sounded amazing to the two people I was with. The lady taking our order wasn't helpful or friendly. We ordered it to go due to no seating. We waited and saw three seats opened up and so we decided to sit inside and eat the two tacos we had just purchased. When the lady brought out the 20 dollars in coffee we ordered - she just said we don't allow outside food rudely. Please note though there are no signs at this establishment that state that. It was beyond the most unwelcoming environment I have ever been in at a local coffee establishment. I will say the Ritual is extremely small, very sweet and ok. And the oat milk latte doesn't stand out. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone visiting Austin. I'm sure there are better locally owned coffee shops here with more welcoming, more stand out coffee and for a better price! read more

I have a friend who is a certified coffee expert. Whatever level of Somm is for wine, he is for coffee. He is a coffee trader by profession and was recently in Austin judging for a coffee conference. He had two places in Austin he wanted to try, Fleet and Epoch. I wish I remember the story of Fleet, I believe it was someone who originally worked at Cuvee and then started a place of his own. Since I hadn't been to Fleet I seized the opportunity to head over to East Austin to try it out. We were not disappointed. First of all, Fleet has done a phenomenal job of utilizing their unique tiny space. They somehow make it feel bigger than it is with the simplistic modern décor and bright friendly colors. There is a small area to sit inside, and a larger outdoor area, some of which is partially covered. There are a couple of parking spots even out front. This is purely coffee people - no glitzy extras. Fleet partners with quality coffee roasters to create their coffee creations. You can get espresso or pour overs here. The barista was a true coffee aficionado. He spoke with my coffee friend in a language I did not understand, but found intriguing. The cappuccino's we had were artfully beautiful as well as delicious. Among the top cappuccino's I have had. I now need to go back to Epoch and compare. read more
