    Complimentary hot sauces

Flower Child is a loverly QSR concept that offers healthy Mediterranean-like food. Its spacious and vibrant welcoming atmostphere makes it perfect for both casual lunches and relaxed dinners. The open layout provides plenty of room to dine comfortably without feeling crowded. There's also have tables outside in case you have fur babies with you and service is very friendly and attentive. The menu has an impressive variety of fresh vegetarian and vegan options. Although limited, they also offer wine and a few desserts like cookies and brownies. My go-to bowl is the Mother Earth bowl. By the drink area, there's complimentary hot sauces. My favorite is the habanero one. I can't do very spicy but the sauce is so good that I can't resist. I highly recommend Flower Child to anyone who is looking to eat healthier.

Stopped in for a quick healthy lunch meeting with a friend. Parking was easy and the location is in the heart of the busy Uptown Park area of the Galleria The food was delicious and came out hot and quick. There was plenty of seating and I'm so happy that their food is always consistent no matter what location you choose.

Came here for the first time after a Pilates class with my friend and it was so good! The perfect place to get something healthy, fresh, and filling! I ordered the rebel French dip with some sweet potatoes fries and it was tasty. The wrap was filling, full of protein, and came with a soup dip that honestly didn't add much to the dish. I wish the fries had a bit more crunch. My friend got the bbq chicken wrap which I like d much better because of the sauce that comes with it. Overall I definitely recommend for anytime looking to eat out while staying healthy!

Flower Child has been my go-to for the past year, and I really enjoy this location compared to others across Houston. The Mother Earth bowl has the freshest ingredients with flavors that complement each other so well. The Rose lemonade is my favorite drink to pair with my meal. I tend to stick to one favorite dish until I'm ready to move on to the next, and I'm excited to discover my next favorite on their menu. I love the whimsical elegance of this location!

Busy lunch atmosphere! Service was very accommodating and we did not have to wait long. The chicken and the Mediterranean bowl was very good and I enjoyed the quality fresh ingredients. Cobb salad was slightly above average did not have eggs and with deli meat, turkey still enjoyable. Overall, I feel the fresh ingredients made this place worth it, although overpriced for the portion sizes. Will come back!

Stopped here for lunch after a workout for a cleaner option and was pleasantly surprised. I view it as an American Cava or Chipotle. I opted for the build your own bowl option and ordered the chicken, red chili glazed sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli and brussel sprouts. My only negative is I wish the options included a sauce. I ended up asking for a blue cheese vinaigrette which was a nice compliment to everything (especially the chicken which was a bit bland). The brussel sprouts had bits of bok choy in it that were crunchy and good. The broccoli could've been a little less charred, but loved the Parmesan it was coated in. After ordering I saw a few more options I'd like to try so I'll def be back. The interior is nicely designed and gives a homey vibe.

I have been a customer of Flower Child for the past several years at other locations. This was my first time at the Memorial location. I love the ambiance and the spaciousness. The parking is easy and no issue in comparison to other locations. After shopping at gap, I wanted a quick meal. The young lady was pleasant who took my order. I did not want a full Meal so I opted for the kids meal. Parmesan Broccoli Garlic Mash Chicken The plate was flavorful and I was full and left feeling healthy! The Guava Sangria was nice and refreshing. They also allowed me to sample. Not pictured is the cashew choco cookie that I devoured. I forgot how much that cookie gives life. I think this will be my new location as I loved everything from the service, food, parking and location.

    Nice beach type atmosphere.

Easy casual California beach house kind of feel. Friendly service, clean, healthy, good food. Maybe a bit more expensive than comparable places, but fresh, organic food is never cheap. I have been before, and I will return.

This is my go-to place for healthy and delicious food! My staple is normally grilled chicken thigh yakitori noodles but this time I decided to gamble and try the entree + 2 sides combination. I got steak as the entree, and the chilled sesame noodles and the grilled asparagus & white bean. My friend got the forbidden rice with chicken. Both entrees were sooo delicious! There's a reason why this is my go-to spot! It's counter-service so you order at the front then find a seat. Overall it's a great experience, there are lots of seating, and again, my favorite healthy food restaurant!

I will never not crave this spot! The weather was so nice outside and we sat outside and the vibes were so great! My usual go to is the Mother Earth bowl with salmon add on, so flavorful and delicious I can't believe it's healthy. My bf ventured to try the chicken enchiladas not knowing it was one of the popular items, and when I TELL YOU, the chicken was so juicy and seasoning was on point! He was shocked at how delicious it was, expecting it to be a bit of a fusion but it was surprisingly incredible. Definitely will be getting it again for sure. Staff was nice and sweet behind the counter and with bringing out our food to the patio!

I had heard so many great things about this restaurant but there isn't a location near me. Was in the area so decided to grab something to eat. The restaurant is large with patio seating available. It is counter service but the line moves quickly. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were 10/10. I can't wait to go back and try more menu items.

I had the Mother Earth Bowl add Salmon. The bowl was surprisingly flavorful! The restaurant is beautiful! Indoor and outdoor there was lots of seating. It's a little on the pricey side. The service was very fast, you order at the register and take a number. The only reason I didn't leave a 5star 1. My salmon wasn't seasoned or cooked well (which I asked) Other than that, great experience. I'll be back.

The grounds of the temple is well manicured and neat with flowers. A big red sign read, "Govinda" was positioned so that I wouldn't miss it. As soon as I walked in at lunch time, the restaurant was damn near empty with only two families. The host immediately sat me at a table front of the buffet line. There was a strong lingering smell of pine-sol and Mr. Clean in the air. Of course, that indication told me that the restaurant was clean. The items on the buffet line was plenty, but limited. I got the rice, tofu curry, chaat marsala, and some vegetables. Everything except for the chaat was bland. It wasn't very easy to eat while the smell of cleaning supplies was in the air. It reminded me of sitting in a bucket of cleaning chemicals while eating a meal. The tofu curry tasted only like turmeric, but no salt or pepper or anything. The rice was super bland. The chaat marsala was very tasty and well seasoned. I finished off with desserts which both options were tasty. I hope to return to try their holiday menu, but I think today was a bad day for the cooks.

Since the dishes are different every day, there's really no guarantee that you'll be safe, and cross contamination is a possibility since it's a buffet line. I tried to email ahead of time but never got a reply. We arrived around noon on a Wednesday and there was plenty of seating inside. There is a lot directly across the street for Govinda's customers. Cafeteria buffet-style line. Don't overcrowd your plate, just go back for seconds. Since the menu changes daily, I don't think there's much of a point to review specific dishes. I will say that there's a nice variety of salad, soup, and homemade feeling Indian dishes that everyone really liked. I particularly enjoyed the salad dressing (an avocado cream), the veggie lentil soup, and the spinach potato dish. Unfortunately, the special of the day or a dish near it (the soya Manchurian? Or the curry?) triggered some kind of inflammatory allergic reaction for me, so I had to stop eating. I did try some of the mango cake, which had a great soft and moist texture that I'd definitely have again. -1 star because of the allergic reaction but overall, everyone I went with really enjoyed the food and the service was welcoming and attentive for a buffet. The ambiance is great and it's a lovely setting all around.

Lots of TVs to watch the Olympic Games while you wait for dinner. I liked watching the open pizza oven. They make a lot of pizzas here. The Eat, Drink, HTX menus are a great way to try new restaurants while giving back to the Houston Food Bank. A starter, an entree and a dessert. $25 for dinner. So many choices on this menu. A great deal while helping out those in need. "Started" with the Turkey Samosas. Four crispy pastries that are filled with seasoned ground turkey, potatoes and parsley served with cucumber yogurt. Delicious! The Ember & Greens Soup that my family had was hot, hot, hot and so tasty. The fresh soup was filled with a blend of spinach, parsley, and cilantro with chickpeas, caramelized onions, pinto beans and quinoa. My FIL polished off his bowl! For dinner, we all had the Blackened Salmon. The salmon with lemon butter and avocado salsa served on roasted carrots, broccoli and potatoes and a bed of quinoa. It was a full plate, which we all took home for dinner the next day. Note: it is quite buttery. My FIL had his butter and avocado salsa on the side which worked for him. I loved mine as is. Even though we were pretty full, we still enjoyed dessert. The tiramisu was so indulgent. Loved the layered mascarpone custard, whipped cream, coffee liqueur and coffee-soaked ladyfingers. My FLI had the Chia Seed Pudding with fresh berries. What a great meal. It was a beautiful day, so it would have been the perfect day to eat outside if you like that. I'm an eat indoors kind of person, but if you like to eat outside, they do have a few tables for that. I was meeting a friend for lunch and she suggested Ember & Green. We really couldn't decide what to order, so we decided to order a few things and share them. We started off with the Persian Cucumber Sald. It had Persian cucumbers, heirloom cherry tomatoes, red onions, and Kalamata olives with oil and lemon dressing and topped with parsley and feta cheese. Let me tell you, thats lemon dressing was delicious! It went so well with the cucumbers. Next we ordered Blackened salmon with lemon butter and avocado salsa, served with charred broccolini, roasted carrots and potatoes on a bed of cilantro green pea quinoa. I'm really not a huge fan of salmon, but I'm trying to like it more by trying it different ways. The spices that they put on the salmon were really good, not too spicy, but also, not bland. It was also cooked perfectly. Oh, and that lemon butter... that lemon butter made the meal if you ask me. It was so good. So good in fact, I had to try and make salmon with lemon butter at him the very next week. Mine didn't come out as good as Ember & Greens, but it was decent. That just means that I need to leave the cooking to the professional. For dessert we decided to share the Skillet Cookie. Its a house made chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron skillet and topped with Amy's Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream and chocolate sauce. This was the only thing that we ordered that was a nope. I dont know what happened, but it didn't seem like it was cooked at all in the middle. We took a few bites, that was all we could eat of it. All and all, it was a good experience and I will go back. I'll just skip dessert next time.

The Eculent Picnic Basket was the best course of the meal, although we did not receive much explanation of each item, which took away from the experience. The Pig in a Cloud was unique, but the pork belly was tiny and the entire bite tasted overwhelmingly like paprika with only a hint of sweetness. The second course was extremely underwhelming. The Smoking Mushroom Soup seemed to rely almost entirely on the dry ice theatrics because the actual broth was mediocre at best. The Foie Gras and Caviar Brioche tasted like something that could easily be recreated with grocery store ingredients, while the brioche itself was so dry and crispy that it practically disintegrated in my mouth. The third course was the worst. The shrimp in the Shrimp in Corn Butter was cooked well, but the sauce was overwhelmingly sweet. The Beef Bourguignon with Whipped Potatoes was even worse. The red wine flavor was harsh, the potatoes were bland, and the entire dish lacked seasoning. Dessert was barely an improvement. The Assorted Chocolate Tarts were tiny and dry, while the Chicha Morada Sorbet tasted more like spiced bubblegum. The Crème Brûlée was the best of the three, but even that was disappointing because the caramelized sugar topping was already soggy. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in Houston. Even at the discounted $55 Houston Restaurant Weeks price, I felt ripped off by both the tiny portions and poor execution. The elaborate presentations may look impressive, but theatrics cannot make up for mediocre food. I cannot imagine paying the regular prices for this experience, and I would not recommend Eculent based on my visit.

The bar was nice, but I did not care for oversized TVs in such a small space. The Tx Caviar was not well seasoned; we would not order it again. The Roasted Tomato Soup was thicker than my taste. It was better with the homemade croutons from my husband's Caesar Salad. He added Blackened Red Snapper to the salad that was lightly seasoned and overcooked.

On weekends, they have a breakfast buffet, but I'm not really a fan of buffets (why am I subsidizing big eaters) and stuck with the a la carte menu. The Bacon & Egg sandwich is a pretty big and was tasty, with the chipotle aioli being a nice touch. The Chicken & Waffles is solid too, with the crispy chicken being the star! Great batter, which a nice touch of spice, and not at all dry. For lunch, I thought the Blackened Redfish on grits was very satisfying. I also recommend their Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which I asked for spicy. Very satisfying! It comes with a side and I chose Caesar Salad. I also had their Roasted Tomato Soup and was a big fan of the garlic chips garnish. Their Roasted Marble Potatoes are fine, if a bit mid. Their Charred Broccolini is worth getting.
