    Looks good

Another great tasting session here at Flower Flour. Have been here a few times before and knew I had to stop in and see whet my EYES would make me want to get. All the pastries, cakes, cookies, and drinks are really good. Had to have the carrot cake as always and also had a chocolate raspberry cake for here and yes I shared. Also needed a couple of items to go. Well maybe I Didn't need it however my eyes said yes you need to get some to go, lol. If you're having a special event, the cakes here are amazing. They have a variety of cakes for weddings, birthday celebrations, and themed cakes to make your event special and unforgettable.

3/5: The hazelnut crunch cake looks great but is not as good as it looks. I don't get chocolate flavor complexity. It's like they used a generic mild chocolate flavor. hazelnut layer is also too tame. It's the type of cake where it seems like there are a lot of empty calories.

Super yummy, ordered the Love after dark cake, the Ravishing Raspberry and the lemon bar. The lemon bar and the love after dark are my absolute favorite. So rich and flavorful. I ordered them for my coworkers going away present. 10/10 experience and packaging was great in transport!

I like the ambiance with nice little table and comfortable chairs. At 8 pm, I saw many people were in the stores and lots of cake selections in the display so I gave it a try. The cake looks yummy! But it tastes a little dry to me. I don't taste much flavors. The chocolate one is especially plain. I don't taste much cocoa flavor even though it's chocolate flavor. Maybe it was because late in the day and maybe the selections we picked didn't represent the store. Many people visited the store though. Maybe we would pick different items to try next time.

I've been wanting to swing by Flower Flour and I finally did today. I got a lemon bar. It was pretty tasty. For the price ~$6/7, the value was pretty good for the money. I think for a lemon bar it was tasty, but could've used more lemon flavor and/or sourness. I definitely couldn't finish it in one sitting so for me it'll last for another day! The service was great. I peeked at the other items and they are also pretty pricey as well in my opinion. The little cakes were around $10/11 each. Overall, I'd probably come back for a little beverage and sit out in their chairs.

Cute bakery with cute pastries. A little on the pricey side. Almond slice is covered in a thick layer of marzipan that made it a little hard to eat. The chocolate cake was very decadent, super rich. Service was pleasant.

Cute bakery in the Pruneyard shopping center. They have pretty desserts and taste great. I haven't had anything I didn't like so far. Their chocolate desserts are my personal favorite. I'll come back to try more seasonal items soon.

I've been here before but only Yelping now! The hyper-realistic cakes are insane! A baker was kneading dough, though I don't know for what. I only know it must definitely be something yummy. Ordered: Chocolate chip cookie 10/10. It was similar to a cake in texture & had plenty of chocolate chips. Guava mousse cake 10/10. Light & fluffy cake texture. Guava mousse flavor was perfect. Service was warm & there was seating inside, although not room for many people.

This is a very small bakery at the Pruneyard. It's in a good location with lots of parking. I didn't feel like anything was very special and it was expensive. My tiny dessert and brewed coffee was over $10 and the coffee wasn't good. The whole cake is $75 before tax and didn't seem that special just usual flavors. I could go to Lunardi's and get the same cake for 1/3 of the price.

    Guava mouse
    Jasmin M.

The guava mouse cake filling was pretty good. The ratio to cake and filling was just quite not there for me. The sponge was very light and crumbly. It fell apart easily when scooping. I wish there was more filling. The slice of banana cake is very hefty though.

    Chocolate croissant

This is it - my final review. I've been coming to FF for 20 years and due the quality of their croissants, but I'm done after yet another radical change. The bread and chocolate have gone downhill. Chocolate is in one thick brick and tastes like eating mud, bread is dense and chewy, there's zero butter, and experience is boring. I don't understand why management continues to change such a unique and delicious croissant into one that looks and tastes like every other mediocre croissant out there. What are they thinking?? Flower Flour no longer stands out, which is incredibly disappointing. It's probably for the best since my kid is going to college now, who I have been taking here her whole life. Plus still bummed Ofel doesn't work here anymore. Bye!

    Chocolate Chip Cookie
    Trini S.

Cookies are cold and hard. Tiramisu is not soaked in espresso and dry- I'd call it a cupcake more than anything. Not pictured - lemon bar!!! While I was pretty disappointed with the cookie and tiramisu, the lemon bar saved the day! So delicious. Highly recommend that and only that. We also ordered a hot chai and I think my husband got a cold mocha or coffee drink and we both were sad that the drinks were even bad. It's so cute here and were hopeful to have a local bakery we could frequent, but this is not it /:

    7/7/24 FYI, Blueberry scones
    Lee D.

Quality/Quantity - Having dinner from Cam Hung at Out of the Barrel and now dessert from Flower Flour. Blueberry Scones - My choice, and I will save half for my breakfast tomorrow. Hazelnut Crunch - My wife's choice. I did not care for it, but then it might just be personal preference. Then my wife told me it was only a 3 star dessert also. Atmosphere - Beautiful clean local business. Indoor and outdoor seating. Open 7 days a week from 7:30am to 8pm or 9pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Good. Price - $15, expensive for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2005 and with your soon to be 3 locations.

Delicious cakes, especially the raspberry chocolate one. OMG!!

After looking around, the first ones that caught my eye were Kick Ass Cupcakes. Even though it was only a couple of days before the party, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. The worst he could say was no! Not only did Scott say yes, but he made it happen. He created two dozen beautiful cupcakes in four incredible flavors: Orange Creamsicle, Strawberry Lemonade, Shirley Temple, and Lemon. They were absolutely delicious and a huge hit with both the kids and adults. The cupcakes tasted just as amazing as they looked. Even with the event date quickly approaching, he graciously moved forward and made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. We ordered 40 cupcakes--10 each of four different flavors--and every single one was outstanding. These Kick-Ass Cupcakes absolutely live up to their name. They were universally loved by everyone, from the birthday girl to every last guest. Thank you so much, Scott, for taking such wonderful care of us. We'll absolutely be back, and recommending you to everyone we know.

Finding tasty gluten free cake in the area can be challenging especially if you want variety and customization. Suzie Cakes was Not my first choice because the website shows only one option for gluten free cakes- vanilla cake with blue vanilla frosting. So I went looking elsewhere and ran into similar issues with limited cake flavor options. I came back to Susiecakes because I knew I would at least get a tasty cake.. and when I went into the store, I learned that I could get other frostings even though it was not well communicated on the website. I chose vanilla gluten-free cake layered with the strawberry buttercream and decided to purchase a cupcake version of those flavors to taste test before ordering it. Surprisingly, the store clerk didn't charge me for cupcake! That more than made up for having to drive over to ask about other frosting flavors. The next day I worked with one of their customization team specialists, Claud, to work out the details for the custom decoration. Claud was amazing. He emailed me color samples to be sure I agreed- he emailed me a detailed description on the decoration plan while I was on the phone with him just to be sure we were crystal clear. I'm giving a high rating because I never had a cake that I didn't like at Susie Cakes, but also a high rating for the customer service in the store and over the phone/email with the customization group. I will say that walking in the space is elegant is the word I would like to use but also inviting with the little extras that they do at the table with the fresh flowers the soft chairs the colorful decor that surrounds it. Also the two individuals behind the counter that were taking orders and packaging things were just a delight. Both of them greeted us with a smile and they asked us if it was our first time to the shop and we told them yes and so they walked us through some of the more popular items and how are things were broken down and that was very much appreciated cuz there are many many options in front of you in unless you know exactly what you want you can be looking at everything for a couple of minutes before you decide on even one thing. We ended up getting a regular latte and a rose latte for our drinks. And then as a little delicious taste of something we got the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant. I am going to comment on my rose latte first that thing was beautifully made because though it was sweet but in a way that wasn't overpowering because you could still taste a little bit of the caffeine the creaminess of the milk that was used and the espresso it was like a hint in the background so a little call out there if you're someone that really wants to taste their coffee this wasn't the jam for you and that's okay my husband got the regular latte with steamed milk and I tasted his and that was like coffee in your face so you can always go for a solid twist like that. And to clarify his latte was also very good because it just tasted so fresh and of high quality. Now for the pastries. They were stupendous because they had the right amount of flakiness but softness. They also were buttery but not overly so were like major hands feel greasy it was so savory both of them which is interesting because the fillings one was chocolate one was almond I would have thought that both of them would have had an overpowering sweetness to them. We will say that we both liked the almond croissant more not that the chocolate one wasn't just as good. The almond had a little bit of a 1up because I don't know how to explain it it's almost like it had a almond crumble at the top so you bit into the pastry which was fluffy but you had the crunch on the top then you had a little bit of the almond filling and then you had the butter and like the soft but almost chewiness of the inside of the layers just stupendous all of that together was great. If we end up ever being in that area again will definitely want to go back to try the rest of the stuff they had because I want to know how everything else takes especially those beautiful cakes that were just art themselves

Every single flavor was delicious, fresh, and perfectly balanced. It was honestly hard to pick a favorite because they were all amazing. My only regret was not ordering more because they went so fast!! Will definitely be ordering again for future events.

I was looking for a true cannoli outside of going to Victoria Pastry in San Francisco, and came…read moreupon Marcos. What i found was a delightful, generous owner and true Sicilian cannoli. Marco may come from Brazil, but these cannoli show he has a Sicilian heart. The cannoli cream is made with mascarpone and ricotta, the traditional mixture. Marcos makes different cream flavors. I tried the traditional, chocolate, pistachio, and raspberry. Marcos added a strawberry cannoli in generosity. Each flavor is as good as the other. I truly enjoyed the pistachio, chocolate, and raspberry creams in particular. I don't know if he makes his own shells, but they are thick enough to hold in the cream and its moisture without falling apart. This is a side gig for Marcos, but he quickly responded to my call, and I was able to pick up my "samples" within an hour. I will definitely be back!!
