Our reservation was 6:45, got there 6:30 and was seated 7:20. On a Thursday night. The flow of steak service felt inconsistent, which took away from the overall experience. The cheese bread, which used to be a highlight, has changed. It was oily and lacked the light puffy texture I remember. On a positive note, the salad bar was enjoyable, with a good variety and fresh options.

Outstanding vibe at Fogo de Chão PDX, warm, lively, and beautifully lit. Best way to start dessert is with that rich tres leches and burnt meringue. Remember to soak the cake well! That's how it becomes pure velvet. Incredible Crème Brûlée by Regina, cracked sugar and silky heaven! Grateful for Neia keeping every cut of meat flowing nonstop for us! Amazing team all around; they made dinner feel special from start to end. Desserts landed like a finale: Bold, creamy, balanced, unforgettable. Our table felt pampered, never rushed, and always checked on with care. Must say the staff here carries the whole room with pride and warmth. All dishes and moments came with that signature Brazilian hospitality. Regina and Neia truly elevated the night with service and sweetness. If you're in downtown, this is the spot to slow down and enjoy deeply. Nothing feels staged: Everything feels genuine, warm, and delicious. As always, obrigado, Fogo de Chão. You keep setting the bar high.

Wonderful service! We had great servers and the gauchos were amazing! The food is very good! So much to eat! It's a fancy restaurant but very comfortable and lovely!

Wow what a great place . Great service and the food was great . I wish I had not got so full so quick I would have kept eating . The only complaint I have is sitting next to the door where they get the high chairs for the kids. My recommendation is don't sit there. I highly recommend eating at this place . Make your reservation and you get seated quickly.

It's 11:30 on a Sunday morning, the doors open promptly, and my friends and I walk in. Parking was annoyingly difficult, as per usual, but we anticipated this and gave ourselves plenty of grace time. Once seated, our (mediocre) server fills our water glasses & takes our order/confirms what we will be eating. Today, half the party elects to take the market table only and the others get full churrasco. The restaurant was busy but not quite half full so there is room to walk b through (there are too many tables imo, it's hard to not get in someone's way). I got a little of everything, and enjoyed both a classic old fashioned and a passion fruit caipirinha. The pear & arugula salad was really good; loved the salmon and capers,; the mini waffles were soft and almost cinnamony; beef rib hash was fantastic! I liked the candied bacon but it is very sweet. I'll be back to go full churassco next time!

First time visit! Our group went on a Sunday morning for brunch and had a great meal. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Started out with an Old Fashioned, which was strong and good, I also ordered the Market Brunch. Everything was tasty and there were lots of options to choose from! Stand outs for me were the roasted cauliflower, the chicken salad and the cute mini waffles! Salami and cheese was yummy as well! I liked the pork/bacon, but it was very sweet. Service was okay, not overly friendly but nothing to complain about. The dining room could be set up a little better, it felt a little cramped with tables to get to the market table at times. Overall it was a good first experience and I'll be back to try the meat selections in the future!

Came here for a birthday dinner and turnout to be one of my worst dinning experiences I've had in a long time. Our server was friendly and everything was fine at first until it started to get busy. Apparently his section was across the restaurant from our party so we ended up getting ignored a lot. Felt bad for him because it was his first night on his own. Well I don't eat much meat (only chicken) and mostly eat vegetarian so only two options. A cauliflower steak for $45 or a tofu dish for $49. I ordered the tofu and it included their salad bar/buffet. Didn't get told that they were out of tofu for 30 minutes waiting for my meal. No manager came by to apologize or render the situation until a manager came by and was helping clear plates. I asked about the tofu and she said well we are out. Then explained to her I ordered it and wasn't told for 30 minutes. Then I got my meal/salad bar $37 comped and a free dessert. Salad bar had a lot to choose from but the veggies were all very bland. The mushrooms and corn salad were about the only good thing. Drink service was very slow and took about 15-20 minutes to get your drink. Then it took forever to get the dessert menu and dessert. Best dessert was the crème brûlée cheesecake. Lava cake was cold with chocolate syrup in the middle and my crème brûlée was descent. Then when it came to the bill it went even more downhill. We split it 3 ways. Not too hard but boy was that mistake. It was all messed up and we just gave up, paid and left. I will not be back. Overpriced and poor service and management. Best part of the meal was the rolls. I am gluten free and I didn't get sick eating here but I didn't get to eat much.

We were sat by a ton of parties. Which sucked, because they were taking all the meat before it got to us. We let our waitress Roxanne know and she ensured we got the exact meat we wanted. She was the best. Salad bar is super subpar in general but even more because they never refilled the bacon. Good employees good meat but going at a low time would be nice. Also parking garage next door is horrible and its not included

The food was decent for the price. Normally for birthdays we go to a traditional steakhouse but we wanted to try something new this year. Fogo de Chão popped up in our search when we were looking so we gave it a try. When we first got there we were seated quickly at a large table in back. The ambience was pretty casual which was not a bad thing since we had children with us. One downside was that the location of our table was in an awkward spot by the kitchen that made us feel like we couldn't move without being in someone's way. It was also kind of close to a door and we had some flys that wouldn't leave us alone. We were a very large number of people so we all wanted different things and the set up made it interesting to navigate. Some of us would be waiting to eat while others were being served. The food kept coming for a while but did seem to become less and less as time went on with awkward periods where we were all kind of just looking at one another. Still, with the price point it was hard to complain. The meat was cooked to the temperature you asked for and you could keep requesting if you wanted a particular type of meat. The deserts were very tasty and overall we had a decent experience. The positives: -It's priced competitively -It's a unique experience -The option to try new things -Delicious appetizers The cons: -Asking for what we wanted to try felt awkward -Cuts of meat had a lot of fatty sections -There were a couple of flys buzzing around our table -Some people would be waiting while others were being served (couldn't all eat together)

It's a nice place, but the service is slow, so it's best to come with plenty of time. Especially if you're not a very talkative person.

At the time when I heard of this I think it's because they weren't serving a lot of it as to why it was called limited. I could be wrong. It's been a while, but lest we forget we can always contact the restaurant to get immediate answers.

Does the full experience includes seafood and desserts? I read that it doesn't include the best cut of beef such as rib eye nor lamb.

On our first visit we had a reservation and were seated at a table. After ordering, patrons are served a complimentary leek soup in an espresso size cup. I wish it were on the menu because it is one of the best things I've ever tasted. The flavor is incredibly rich! We ordered the clam chowder, halibut, maple glazed carrots and tres leches cake. The clam chowder's presentation was nicely done but nothing special in taste. It came so highly recommended on Reddit and many other diners ordered it but neither my party nor I cared for it. The halibut was good but didn't stand out and the maple glazed carrots weren't to my taste. What completely won us over was the tres leches cake. It is one of the most delicious and most memorable desserts we've ever had. Every layer complemented the next perfectly creating an incredibly balanced dessert that wasn't overly sweet with different textures. We couldn't stop talking about it afterward. It was one of the reasons we decided to give the restaurant a second shot. After our meal I mentioned to our server that we weren't sure if we'd ordered the right dishes since we weren't thrilled with the food especially with how popular the restaurant is. He explained that it's primarily an Argentinian steakhouse and suggested returning to try the meat dishes. On our second visit we arrived at opening without a reservation. There was plenty of seating but since we didn't have a reservation we were seated at the bar. I didn't mind seated at the bar but the bar stools were extremely uncomfortable, almost torturous. Unfortunately, it was too hot to sit outside. Midway through dinner a machine, maybe a dishwasher, was turned on behind the bar. It was loud and the vibrations could be felt. This time we ordered the beet salad, cheese empanada, beef empanada, two filet mignons and the lamb shoulder. The beet salad was a disappointment. It consisted of large overly soft chunks of beets with what tasted like a basic grocery store salad dressing. For a restaurant of this caliber I expected more. Neither of us enjoyed the cheese empanada but we both liked the beef empanada. We also ordered two filet mignons cooked the same way. Both arrived more done than requested and one way more overcooked than the other. They were also on the salty side, though both were very tender. The lamb shoulder, which our server had already warned us about before we ordered, ended up being dry and tough. The chimichurri served alongside the savory dishes was also heavier on onions than I prefer. Overall, the service was excellent, and the complimentary leek soup and tres leches cake were truly outstanding. Unfortunately, despite two visits, the main dishes we ordered didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation for us.

When we arrived neither host mentioned our notes/anniversary, but we lucked out and got a booth close to where the staff enter/exit the kitchen. Our server arrived at the table and had her greeting volume turned up to high. Also, no mention of our anniversary, but I mentioned it in conversation. We shared a bunch of stuff & matched glasses of wines with courses. I ordered all courses at once so out server would be able to course out accordingly (which she did), noticing she took notes of our order. 1st course of onion rings/pork belly were delicious. Finished our drinks from the bar with these apps (bartender/drinks on point). 2nd course was a wedge salad and the shrimp cocktail, paired with chenin blanc and sauv blanc. Prawns were massive, but cocktail sauce could use horseradish. The manager dropped bread at this time, also no mention of our anniversary. Our server asked if we wanted to "substitute" the veggies for the potato. We said sure and thought nothing of it. The steak came out split and cooked to perfection (although she ordered us the bone in) and both sides were very good. Paired w/cab franc and nebbiolo. Upon finishing our meal and boxing up some leftovers our server brought by the dessert menu. I was surprised as we saw a few celebratory desserts hit different tables, but ordered a dessert and glass of port. She brought two desserts, sputtering out happy anniversary. I had the Monsignor Murphy, which featured lots of House Made Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Sauerkraut and Russian Dressing. I typically like a Reuben on marbled rye, as they served it on a Griddled Como Bread...and it was great. I didn't get her name at the order counter, but she was so friendly and engaging as well. Since this was my first time to the restaurant, she was able to provide me with a wealth of information. I will be back...and you can count on that.

Juices kinda poured over rather than the meat itself being juicy, if that makes sense. Bread was disappointing. Lemon aioli was nice. Fries pretty good. Great crunch. Warm. Fresh. Not very potato-y though. Could use more of that potato flavor. Overall it was a solid sandwich but at $24 for a sandwich and fries, meh. You could do better. Nothing really wowed me or seemed particularly good.

You can absolutely smell the fish and vinegar as soon as you walk through the door, which I think gives the place a very homey pub feel. I ordered a spiked peach Arnold Palmer, which I enjoyed (and it was pleasantly strong) and a glass of the house white, which was good for the price. Our server was very fast and attentive. To eat I got the tomato soup with a grilled cheese, which was absolutely fantastic. The soup was so creamy and flavorful, and I cannot imagine a better meal after spending all day walking outside in the rain. The fries were super crispy and I liked the batter. My partner and I shared some of their breadsticks, which were deliciously baked (fresh!) and came with a super refreshing basil crema and a nice tomato-y dip. Wonderful all. My partner ordered fish and chips, and was surprised to find that it is one large fillet of fish, not multiple pieces like you would typically expect. He said the fish was fine, but a little tough. Overall, a wonderful experience. I definitely hope to return. I highly recommend this place as a refuge during the cold winter months!

There was the expected long wait due to Father's Day, but no worries. Family time was spent in the lounge. I was remembering my dad, as he always had the Fried Chicken and Chicken Gizzards. Both were incredible. My vegetarian wife had the hamburger patty, (now an Impossible Burger versus the Garden Burger). Our daughter opted for the Sirloin Steak as she wanted flavor which the Filet does not allow, but not the fat that my favorite, the Rib Eye offers. It was so good. MY Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, both had the Prime Rib. Hers was a bit rare, but he just switched and all was good. Estrella was simply perfect, and one I would ask for again. I will be back again, and again, and again.

It's near impossible to find restaurants that make your money worth it and Sayler's does that by always giving you sides of bread, salads, veggies and more. The steaks are great, sides are great and they even have oyster shooters. Sometimes I've ended up with a ribeye with too much fat, but I personally love steak fat so it's not the biggest deal to me. They do a great job at achieving medium rare/rare. The ambience is moody and rustic, the parking is relatively easy even on busy nights, and I've always had great service. I suggest Sayler's to my coworkers and friends and plan to forever!

We ordered the Exotic Mojito and the Botanical Berry Mule, and both were refreshing and beautifully presented. We visited during happy hour, it's a great deal. Happy hour is Monday-Tuesday from 4:00-6:00 PM and Wednesday-Friday from 3:00-6:00 PM. We tried the HH menu, Truffle Fries, Brussels Sprouts, California Roll, Manila Clams with Grilled Toast, and Kung Pao Calamari. Everything was delicious except the calamari. The sweet Kung Pao sauce didn't match well with deep-fried calamari and made the food soggy. We also ordered the Dragon Brizz mocktail, it was just average, especially compared to the excellent cocktails. Overall, this is a great spot for the spectacular views, cocktails, and happy hour.

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

Shoot. Last night I took my boyfriend here to celebrate a special event & we left so disappointed!…read moreWe got there at 7:15 & we were stuck there for over 2 hours! I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.
