5/27/2026 BUTTER CROISSANT Ate it the next day and doctored it up with melted butter, honey, and salt and toasted it in the oven for even more buttery goodness. The croissant was even flakier and the inside layers were still slightly soft and just perfect, even the day after! Deeelicious! HAM & GRUYÈRE CROISSANT (Butter croissant rolled with slices of ham and Gruyère cheese) It was good, wish there was there was more ham & gruyère inside. Nonetheless, the croissant was the star! It was flaky, buttery, crispy perfection! Having said that, get the butter croissant instead! TRIPLE PAIN AU CHOCOLAT Deliciously dark chocolatey! Flaky, buttery, crispy croissant, what more could you want? Loved it with a cup of coffee! Better when you toast in the oven! ORANGE BLOSSOM ALMOND CROISSANT (Crispy twice baked croissant filled with light and silky almond cream studded with bright candied orange pieces, and a smooth, floral orange blossom pastry cream) Flaky, crispy croissant with beautifully floral, full orange blossom flavor! This croissant was beautifully done! I haven't had a pastry that honored orange blossom like this! The almond cream comes through alongside the orange blossom, which complemented each other wonderfully! I love elevated croissants like this! It makes me happy to come to Fondry, knowing they can deliver on all their baked goods! PASSIONFRUIT CROIFFIN (Croissant x Muffin; filled with bright, tangy passionfruit curd, and tart, bouncy passionfruit jelly, topped with a very vanilla chantilly cream) They did not hold back! This was a passionfruit flavor bomb! Sooo good! They did not hold back! The croffin was crispy outside and flaky soft inside. The passionfruit curd was flowing out of the croiffin as you cut it open! Passionfruit heaven! The vanilla chantilly cream was also excellent in flavor! It was so good, I went back to get another! TOFU CLOUD CROISSANT TOAST (Crisp and sweet miso honey butter toasted croissant topped with a cloud-like sweet tofu cream) Crispy, crunchy, deliciously toasted croissant. Can taste the miso and the croissant tasted like burnt caramel. The tofu cream was fluffy and sweet, like whipped cream, but fluffier! The bottom layer tasted like almond frangipane. Such a delight to eat! I regretted not getting a second one! Beautifully done! BLACK SESAME PARISIAN FLAN Not good. Tart was crispy on the outer layers, but underside was soft. The black sesame flavor was there, but it was a muddled flavor, not a clean toasted black sesame flavor. The flan texture was a bit gummy and a bit dense too. FYI: There were some brunch items you can order in person before 11:00am. ONLINE ORDER Encouraged to order online and order in advance if you want specific pastries. I went in person to order on Wednesday morning. There was no line. CUSTOMER SERVICE Smiling and friendly, helpful and welcoming! Staff was amazing and it felt as though you were walking into your neighborhood bakery! My second visit at Fondry has been even better than the first time! PARKING As always parking is sparse on their lot. Come on a weekday if possible and before 11:00am if you want to grab a parking spot on their lot. Came on a Wednesday at 10:30am.
Fondry honestly amazed me! Every single pastry we tried was perfectly made. My favorite was definitely the kouign amann which is kind of like a croissant, but sweeter, richer, and a little more dense. I also loved the mushroom bechamel danish. It was super flavorful and surprisingly filling. For drinks, I got the MVP (matcha vanilla pistachio) and it was delicious too. Overall, such a great bakery that I'd definitely recommend checking out! They have a small parking lot, and if it's full, there should be plenty of street parking nearby (at least when I went right around opening time).
Been eyeing this spot for quite some time. Parking is easy they have a parking lot but very limited space, parking on York Blvd didn't seem to have any restrictions either. Not too sure how weekend parking is, I visited on a Wednesday around noon. Neighborhood residential street might be a good option for parking on Avenue 47 but street sweeping (No Parking) is from 8-10am Wednesday on one side and Thursday on the other side. Orange Blossom Almond Croissant -personally was disgusting, orange blossom was extremely strong. Too fragrant that it tasted like a floral bath bomb or soap. Some do like this but it wasn't for me. Tofu Cloud Croissant Toast -cream on top was pretty salted, to help balance the caramelized sugar that helps press the croissant into a toast. Overall, it wasn't wasn't bad but wasn't good and slightly too salted. Passionfruit Croiffin- texture of the croissant/muffin was great! Buttery, flaky and light. Passionfruit cream filling wasn't too sweet. I loved the tart passionfruit seeds. But you might want to scoop some out if you don't enjoy too much sourness. Elderflower Rhubarb Danish - way too crunchy, would prefer it to be crispy instead of a crunch. Filling was good, not too sweet. Black Sesame Parisian Flan -if you love black sesame, this would be right up your alley. Perfect sweet treat to bring to any auntie's home! Blueberry Tea Scone -not too dense. Surprisingly not too sweet even with the demerara sugar coating. It wasn't really crunchy but more sticky and caramelized from sitting.
Wanted to take advantage of the crowd being at Coachella weekend, so I made the journey to Highland Park to finally try Fondry! Was lucky to find a parking spot in their lot that can only park 6 cars. I arrived around 9:15 AM on a Saturday and there was already a line of 20 people. Waited about 30 minutes to order. They have the menu outside so you can decide what you want in advance. I tried 4 different pastries and one thing I really liked was how it wasn't overly buttery. When I usually eat croissants, it feels greasy, but I didn't get the same feeling from Fondry! Highly recommend their yuzu birthday pastry and the charcuterie danish.
I rarely find myself in this part of LA, especially during the day.. So of course I had to make Fondry a stop for breakfast! Came in around 10am and there were a few spots in the lot open. There were also a couple spots along York so parking wasn't an issue. I wish I took a photo of the menu, but today's offerings looked more on the sweeter side. As a savory gal, I HAD to get my hands on the mushroom bechamel danish. My fiance got the orange blossom almond croissant. To share, we got the croissant presse. The mushroom bechamel was creamy and buttery and there were fat chunks of mushrooms, just the way I like. Would've been way better warmed, but I just had to eat it right away. Hah. The orange blossom almond croissant had a nice cream in the center.. almost like an earl grey? Paired with the buttery croissant and almond bits, it was a nice sweet treat. We were expecting more of a traditional almond paste, but this was still delightful nonetheless. Croissant presse was literally what you think it is - a croissant pressed down and had a nice sugar coating. Great snack I kept picking at throughout the day! I wish service could've been a little better. Not sure if the gal working the pastry line was either soft spoken or just really didn't want to talk to us. Didn't hear a single peep from her when trying to decide and order pastries. Was kinda awkward and just wanted to get going.. Worth coming back again if I'm in the area, but definitely taking it home to warm up! Also loved that the box had storage and reheating instructions.
Super Cute Came for a mid morning treat with a friend who had been wanting to try Fondry. It was Friday so there wasn't a line. So many choices, sweet & savory. I purchased a croissant, strawberry rhubarb tart and a Kouign-amann. Price $21 something out the door. All are very good! Will come back to try the Mushroom and Bechamel or other new specials! There's a few seats if you want to dine there. So nice to have this spot on York!
They're only open 9-2pm so get them while they're hot. I got in line at 9:15am and it took 30 minutes to order and out the door. Not too bad considering the hype but the line was definitely growing as I left. Everything tasted great, from their sweet passionfruit croiffin to their savory mushroom bechamel. They have a couple of seats outdoors to enjoy the food.
Tried Fondry and it definitely lived up to the hype! I came on a Sunday around 11:30am and the line honestly wasn't bad at all. I was able to order within 5 minutes. Drinks did take a bit longer (about 20 minutes), but we didn't mind since the staff were super friendly. The inside is pretty small and a little cramped, but the outdoor area is huge. A lot of people were hanging out by the staircase enjoying their drinks and pastries, which was a nice vibe. Food-wise, the garlic chive knot was my favorite. It was so good. The charcuterie danish was also delicious, and the orange blossom croissant was really refreshing. Drinks were solid too.
Had a gift card to use here so I stopped by with my sis to get a box of their pastries. There were a lot of options! We got a spinach and mushroom pastry, a chocolate croissant, the cloud tofu croissant toast, the carrot cake financier and the orange blossom croissant. My favorite was definitely the orange blossom croissant. So creamy and fresh. My least favorite was the carrot cake financier. I loveee carrot cake but this one was seriously lacking in spice, it tasted almost like banana bread. It just didn't have the right flavor. I do love that there's a dedicated parking lot. It's pretty small but even at 10ish am I was able to find a spot. I'm not in Highland Park often but recommend it if you are!
I visited Fondry for the second time on a Saturday morning. The first time I went, they had sold out and were closing down the shop. This time I wanted about 25 mins in line to pick up two boxes of pastries. I had really anticipated trying out their croissants after watching multiple reels raving about the texture. The pastries were crunchy but a bit too dense and oily.
AH.MAZING. I've been planning on coming here but their hours are limited so I finally got the chance to visit on a day off. The croissants are perfectly crisp but fluffy, many many layers, and the quality butter is obvious. They have a savory variety like a mushroom bechamel, ham/gruyere, charcuterie, and a sweet variety like pistachio, passion fruit, chocolate, and the more. You can't go wrong with any you choose. The staff were sooooo nice and helpful. Plus the drinks were GREAT. You get a mix of coffee and milk tea. I love when cafes have good coffee AND teas, instead of adding a basic tea bag to their coffee list. Seating inside is limited, there's a few spots to sit outside. WiFi is available. There's a parking lot but it's small, given it shares the lots with 3-4 other stores. But there are some street parking spots so just drive around a bit and you'll find something. I'll be coming back!
it's my second time back and I am still in love with their pastries and now they have capybara decorations. even after a year their pastries are still consistent and delicious. their pastries are still flaky and not too oily or sweet. We went on a weekday around 11am and there was still a good selection of pastries, but sadly some were sold out already. elderflower rhubarb danish (4.5/5): one of their brunch specials and it was delightfully tart but sweet at the same time. the flavors really balanced each other out. passion fruit cruffin (4.8/5): my favorite from this visit. you can really taste the passion fruit and it was tart and sweet but not too sweet. very balanced flavor. if anything I wish they had added more passion fruit. garlic chive knot (4/5): another one of their brunch specials. also pretty good but I just wish there was more garlic and chives. the flavor was more mild than I'd prefer but it was still good. parking: small parking lot but there is street parking options available. seating: good amount of outdoor seating I think shared with the rest of the plaza but it wasn't too busy when I went. **when adding an update to my 2025 review I accidentally removed the original pastry photo from then so I had to add it back in **
I know this place was all the craze last year, and I finally had the chance to stop by without the overwhelming crowds. I enjoyed their matcha, and had their sausage roll and chocolate chip cookie. I feel like the sausage roll I could have skipped on, but it was decent. I was there on a Friday around 11, and surprisingly it wasn't too packed. There was seating both inside and outside which made it convenient to enjoy what I had ordered.
Fondry is a gem of a patisserie in the Highland Park area that deserves more recognition! There is a small parking lot here with some spots or a good amount of street parking all throughout the neighborhood. Inside, they have a couple tables for seating and additional seating options in their outdoor patio. Wifey and I stopped by around 11am and there was a short line out the door. They have a great selection of different savory and sweet pastries along with drinks you can order as well. We ended up getting the Baker's Breakfast and the Mushroom Beschamel pastries and they were both delicious! Overall, we are glad we finally got the chance to check them out. Their pastries are super high quality and you really cannot go wrong with whichever one you choose. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for some good pastries, you should definitely add this spot to your list! read more
Love this place! On our stroll around highland park, we got the bakers breakfast, the croissant with the egg and i got a matcha latte as well. This time there was no long line and all the pastries look delicious. It was busy but not overwhelming. read more

Came here hoping for some high quality flakey pastries and this place was exactly what I needed! They had a good mix of classic and more uniquely flavored pastries. I will say some of the pastries were pretty steep price wise (the pistachio cream danish was $9.50!) but you can tell the pastry itself is very well done. My eyes were bigger than my stomach (per usual) and we ended up with 5 pastries plus a matcha latte for about $45. The mushroom béchamel danish was my favorite savory pastry - umami mushroom flavor, cheesy goodness, and perfectly flakey! Would definitely get this one again. The ham & Gruyère is my go to classic savory flavor and theirs was tasty, but I wish there was more ham and cheese filling. The ratio of pastry to filling was a little off. Would skip this and try another one next time The yuzu meringue croiffin was my favorite sweet pastry - I wish I ate it earlier! I ate it the day after purchased and could tell how good it would've been had the pastry been flakey as intended. It's filled with a yuzu custard and the meringue on top was light and flavorful. Don't be me - get the ones you really want to try and eat them fresh because the pastry doesn't hold up the next day! The triple pain au chocolat was a good classic and we appreciated the extra chocolate. The pain au suisse had a coffee/chocolate custard filling which was different, but not something I'd go running back for Iced matcha latte (sweetened for me) was tasty and standard. Service was quick and friendly. They also had a few cute tables outside for seating. Overall would come definitely come back to pick up a few pastries (and eat them same day!!!) read more
Truly one of my favorite patisseries in LA! There was still a line extending out the door 30 minutes before opening g when I had visited (although it seems like the hype/crowds have died down) but they have a pretty good workflow to get people in and out of the small shop. Limited space to sit inside but there are some seats and small tables set up outside! Parking is limited in the small lot but plenty of curbside parking in surrounding neighborhoods. First things first, the lamination of the pastries is fantastic--one of the best that I've had. One of my favorite pastries is a kouign amann and Fondry nailed it with the thin coating of snappy caramelizes sugar and a flaky, buttery interior. YUM! The bright, citrus flavor of the meringue of the Yuzu croiffin was perfect to brighten the buttery, indulgent pastry. The pistachio cream was bold and nutty, definitely more indulgent but so delicious and does not hold back on the pistachio flavor. Really want to try out their mushroom bechamel danish and other savory pastries the next time I'm back! I know the lines have died down but if I had to wait another 30 minutes again for these pastries 10/10 would do it again! read more
Hi Everyone: I just got back from visiting my daughter in NoCal. I'm always looking for a bakery that makes a Great butter croissant. I won't name the bakeries. One had a sour aftertaste and it was voted best croissant by the people in San Francisco. Go to my review to find out who it is. The other one was fairly good in the East Bay. Review forthcoming. My three favorite bakeries for butter croissants are in a 5 mile radius in the Pasadena/Highland Park area. It's been a while since I dropped by Foundry in Highland Park. They have extended their opening days since the soft opening. They are opened Wednesday through Sunday. I ordered 2 butter croissants and one almond croissant. The long lines that stretched up York Blvd is gone. Only 3 customers ahead of me at 9:30 AM. When I walked in, their showcase of pastries are beautiful as their first day they opened. I like how they don't stack their croissants on top of each other. The service was fast and efficient. Here are my criteria for a great croissant: 1. Crunchy on the outside. 2. Chewy, fluffy and buttery on the inside. 3. Not burnt on the bottom. 4. Tasted just as good and crunchy the day after. 5. Bonus points tasted good and crunchy on day two. Foundry checked all 5 boxes. DJ's rating: 4.90/5.00 one of the highest rated croissant rating I gave out. Would I come back? Definitely YES. read more
Came Sunday morning right at 9am during Labor Day weekend and there was a small line. Maybe waited 15 mins to get inside and order. There's limited plaza parking but a good amount of street parking. I liked the variety of items, some savory and some sweet. The pastries were good and the coffee (Perfect Pair) was good as well. I wasn't mind blown, as I felt I've had better at another bakery I love in SD, BUT still worth a try. Honestly my favorite was probably the cookie lol I wish I got more. Overall not bad, not sure if I'd wait any longer than I did for it. I'm glad I finally got this off my list of things to try tho! read more
Came here on July 4th morning before they even opened. There's a small shared parking lot, but it quickly got filled. Good thing is there's a decent amount of parking around this area of Eagle Rock. Everything was rich and decadent. The only thing that really stood out was the baker's breakfast. Loved the runny egg & caramelized onion. Yuzu meringue was really strong. The yuzu filling was a bit overwhelming compared to the meringue on top. There's plenty of seating outside to enjoy a nice morning pastry and coffee. The only thing that was meh was that we saw flies on certain pastries. I hope they could close the door for hygiene reasons. read more
Had this place recommended to me multiple times. The line wasn't too bad when we got there. We got the Kouign amman, orange blossom almond croissant, pistachio cream croissant, pancetta biscuit, brown sugar financier, passion fruit croiffin, and ham and gruyere croissant. They were all good. I'm no expert but it definitely tasted like these were baked very well. I prefer the koign amman from Delight Pastry but that's subjective. Probably my favorites were the almond and ham/cheese croissants. Service was really friendly. Overall, if you are in the area it's worth stopping by. I do like that they seem to rotate in new items. read more
I completely channeled my inner Justine Huang to get a pastry on my run in Highland Park and my friend recommended I try the apple pastry from Fondry! It was not too sweet but I felt there was kind of a dry crunch? Not the driest pastries I've ever had, though, and I'd be willing to come back to try more. They were sold out of the kouign amann by noon on a Sunday but the line wasn't bad. read more
I have been seeing SO much content about this place on my FYP and we decided it was finally time to try it. We stopped by on a Friday morning and arrived around 9:10 AM. There was already a line out the door at this time, but it moved quickly. The workers were so friendly and were so kind on providing recommendations! We ordered the yuzu meringue and mustard sausage roll as pastries. Both were a 8/10 for me, personally. The pastries were flaky but it tasted just a bit stale? I had assumed that the pastries were freshly baked in the morning. I think it would have tasted better if we took it home and re-baked in the oven. We also ordered the matcha latte and framboise matcha latte. Drinks were also a 8/10 for me. Was nice to try it, but probably would not come back. Plenty of street parking in the area! read more

STOP THIS BRUSCHETTE AND THE COOKIE ALONE HAD US SWOONING. We showed up at 1pm so an hour before close and got the last of those two items. I'm shocked they were even still available. But we SCORED. They were so good and the employees were so kind and patient with us since it was our first time. Definitely a fave! The parking is a little difficult and they sell out and don't restock to keep things fresh so I recommend going earlier in the day to get the best options! read more

Very interesting. They have a very limited list of goods and when you arrive mid day and things are sold then SOL. I got there to get some treats but all were sold out so I tried something new a pressed crossiants- I thought I was being bold but could hear my French colleagues frowning- creating a puffy beautiful crossiants to take it out and flatten it into a crisp like cookie. Tasted crispy and sweet . I also ordered a yuzu spritzer that they were able to reduce sweetness to - very refreshing! Also big bonus- the sell French butter there ao no need to run around town to find euro butter! read more

I got in line right before they opened but there were already at least 20 people in front of me. I got 3 pastries, which was the max I was allowed. One of their pastries was replaced with a breakfast kind of croissant with an egg in the middle. That one was by far my favorite but apparently they never have it unless other menu items need to be suddenly replaced. Overall, the pastries were good but they were pretty expensive. I think it was about $8 per pastry. Not sure if I would say they were worth it, but the pastries were definitely tasty. read more

Some of the best pastries in LA for sure but you'll be waiting in line before you can place your order. Somehow even after being open for over a year, the lines are super long, especially on the weekend. They have a 3 croissant limit per person, but you can add cookies and other baked goods on top of your laminated pastries. My favorite pastries are the mustard sausage roll and the kouign amann. The matcha here is just okay but the coffee is really strong! There's a small lot but it's usually full, so street parking is the main option here. read more
One of our favorite bakeries in LA. If you love croissants I would highly recommend trying this place. They have their standard menu of croissants such as plain, almond, triple pain au chocolat, pain au suisse, and kouign amann. Other specialty & seasonal pastries include croiffins (yuzu and raspberry), danishes (mushroom bechamel, pistachio, bakers breakfast), and a few other items (cookie, scone, financier). We recently had their Yuzu, triple pain au chocolat, mushroom bechamel and bakers breakfast. They were all delicious. The bakers breakfast was new for us. It had a thinly sliced ham with a soft egg on top. The bechamel sauce however put it over the top and made it even more delectable. Service is always friendly and fast. There usually is a line during the weekend but when we went around 10 on a Saturday morning, the line went fairly quickly and they still had plenty of selections. Usually can find seating outside. They have a very small parking lot but you can always find street parking nearby. There is a community restroom available next door as well. read more

The pastries were expensive for the value. Got a plain croissant, and although very good, wasn't quite worth $6 for a plain. Also got the banana chocolate, almost $9 but was basically a plain croissant with a dab of chocolate banana cream on top. For $9 you'd think they would have some filling! read more
Small cafe with big flavors. There's a variety of savory croissant/danishes and some brunch special danishes for when you come around brunch time. I tried the mushroom danish and it was AMAZING. So perfectly flaky and flavorful. Hands down THE best croissant I have ever had in my entire life. I would drive out 30 minutes just to eat it again. That's all I have to say. read more
Pastries here are delish! Waited around 15 min on a sat morning around opening time and tried a bunch of different pastries. They have a slot of seasonal ones, so we got a turkey one and pumpkin flavored croiffin. All the pastries were so intentionally made and flavors blended well together. Overall great experience! read more

There are many great pastry shops in Los Angeles, but the croissants at Fondry Bakery are truly top tier. The exterior is crisp and flaky, yet the inside melts like butter the moment it hits your mouth. What makes it even more special is how the croissant transforms when paired with different ingredients--each variation bringing a new kind of pleasure. The mushroom Danish with sautéed mushrooms, the sweet and glossy kouign-amann, and the intriguingly named charcuterie Danish all stood out. I also had a warm chorizo quiche that had just come out of the oven, along with a cup of coffee. I honestly paused for a moment, wondering if I had ever had a quiche this perfect before. If this bakery were closer to home, it would easily become my go-to place. read more

What a cute bakery/cafe with solid pastries and cute aesthetics?! I showed up a little later than recommended so some things were sold out, but I managed to get my hands on their mushroom bechamel pastry! I very much enjoyed how the pastry was nicely layered, flaky, and chewy on the inside. I appreciated how the mushroom layer wasnt super oily, but I think I would have preferred the pastry warmed up. Staff introduced me to their new seasonal chai apple knot. I was skeptical at first because I am not a big fan of green apples. After reheating at home, it was still very chewy with intermittent crunches from the sugar crystals. It wasnt tart at all and the apple flavors came through, along with other spices but predominantly cinnamon. I also tried their MVP drink (matcha, vanilla and pistachio). Again I was worried it would be too much going on, but I think it worked out nicely! The cream had great pistachio flavors. The matcha was well mixed and had a less bold/earthiness profile which complemented the nuttiness of the pistachio. You can see the vanilla seeds but the taste was subtle. Perfectly mildly sweet. The store itself has limited indoor seating/standing area, but has more outdoor seating options from tables to benches. Lots of plants and greenery around. Staff were super friendly and seemed to know the customers/community. Parking lot available out front. I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area! read more
Stopped by Fondry Bakery for their 1st birthday and picked up the almond croissant, yuzu meringue croffin, ham & gruyere, and tiramisu cake. Everything was solid--the yuzu croffin and tiramisu cake were my favorites of the bunch. Fondry has clearly found its voice, but in a city full of great pastry spots, it blends in more than it stands out. Still, a lovely visit for the pastries and the charming complex, where you'll also find the excellent seafood restaurant Queen Street. read more

On a Saturday morning at 8am in February, my sister and I arrived here to get a parking spot and wait in line. It was kinda early since no one was here yet till 8:30am. The bakery opened at 9am and the line grew long. The sign says order 3 is the limit so I ordered triple chocolate croissant, raspberry croffin, almond croissant , and hazelnut muffin which is excluded from 3 limit. The staff are nice and I paid right away. The triple chocolate croissant was buttery and flaky. I saved the rest for hubby to eat. They also sell coffee, snacks, merchandise. There are several parking spots on the lot. Street Parking is hard to find after 8:45am. I see cars circling around or park far. read more

Excellent pastry's! Super flaky croissants, you can taste the butter, the fillings are smooth and not overpowering, the service is great and the coffee as well. The ambiance is great! read more
Heard so much about this croissant place and finally got to try it out! I came around 11am on a Friday and was able to try out a wide selection. Their croissants are perfectly buttery crispy and flakey. My favorite croissants are the savory ones like mushroom bechamel and the French onion. I think they start to run out of popular flavors by this time, because I came back again and they sold out of the mushroom bechamel. Limited parking within the plaza; however, you can find street parking. read more

Went on a Thursday morning and there was a small line. I waited about 15 minutes before getting the pastries. For parking, there is a small lot but it was full so I did street parking nearby. I think it is pretty easy to find street parking in the neighborhood. There is a limit of three pastries per person (excluding financier and the hazelnut). I got a pistachio cream, almond croissant, and yuzu meringue croffin, and financier. Pistachio cream - was my favorite. Very crispy and yummy pistachio cream which is rich and nutty yet not too sweet Almond croissant - again very crispy but didn't find it too special compared to other places Yuzu meringue croffin - filled with yuzu cream which is lemony. Was special in a way that I never tasted similar pastry anywhere else Financier - was my least favorite as I didn't find anything special Willing to come back to try more as long as the line is not too long. Personally, I dont think it is worth waiting longer than 30mins in line read more

We came here once before, and yup you want to still come a little early before opening because there's a line!! The line moves relatively quickly but there's still a limit of 3 croissant variants per person. I came with my partner and we got 6 croiffins, danishes, and croissants. However, they also had some new items like a pancetta biscuit so we got one of those too. And it did not disappoint! We absolutely love the croiffins - I always get both the framboise and yuzu meringue. They're "not too sweet" and the flavors are there. It can probably be a little less doughy but idk if the muffin tins affect the texture. My favorite this time around was the mushroom bechamel. It was the best savory one we ordered with great flavor from the mushrooms. The cheese wasn't overpowering either so I regret not getting more than one. The ham&gruyere and French onion ones fell a little flat for me. I feel there was minimal content in the ham and cheese so it was a little disappointing. The onion one wasn't bad but it did not blow me away like the mushroom one. It's nice little treat to have every once in a while so when we crazy a lil something something well come back! Arrived around 11am and the line wasn't too bad-around 15 minutes wait. There was a limit of 3 pastries per person. They also offer their amazing Kumquat and Loquat coffee. The store is pretty small and service was great. There's seatings outside. We got everything that Yelp suggested-pistachio, almond, yuzu, etc. and all was so tasty and worth the wait. One of the best and favorite shop. What's amazing is that the croissants and pastries still taste delicious the next day. My favorite was the yuzu. read more
A cute and small bakery with croissant based pastries! I came on a Saturday at 8:15 AM and there was already a short line forming. They open at 9AM and close at 12 PM or until sold out! They limit you to 3 pastries per person to prevent people from mass ordering and to try and give everyone a chance to purchase pastries. - yuzu meringue croiffin: 9.8/10. heavenly. The yuzu flavor is strong and the meringue is so light and fluffy. These flavors and textures pair so perfectly with the croissant muffin. - mushroom bechamel danish: 9.5/10. delicious. such a good savory pastry with lots of mushrooms. This was so delicious and flavorful. Wanted more of this after finishing it. - pistachio danish: 8.8/10. the pistachio cream on this danish is so rich and decadent as they pair it with a thin layer of some kind of nut butter or chocolate. On the heavier side for a pastry, but so good and flavorful. - triple chocolate croissant: 6.7/10. I expected more chocolate on the inside because it's a "triple" chocolate croissant but nothing special or different. - french onion danish: 6.5/10. Not a fan of onions, but a little too sweet for me as a savory pastry. All of their pastries are so crispy and fluffy. The croissant dough they make is so well made/prepared and it really shows in their pastries. Will definitely be back for my next LA trip to try more! read more
If you're looking for high quality pastries, please head over to Fondry. This small shop offers an ample variety, and everything I've tried has been to die for. Their drinks are good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for them. Due to popularity, there is a limit of 3 laminated pastries per customer. However, there are a handful of other pastries to which this limit does not apply (the financiers, cookies, biscuits, and gluten free hazelnut pastry (my personal favorite)). Their danishes are popular and tend to sell out quickly, so if you would like to try them (the options when I visited were pistachio, French onion and mushroom), I recommend you try to be there by the time Fondry opens. The line is long. The building is attached to a small parking lot, but if you cannot find parking there is ample street parking available. WiFi is available. I did not see outlets. There are three small tables inside, and outdoor seating. I would not recommend trying to work here due to the foot traffic (it's very busy) unless you came at a slower time or sat outside. read more

Came here to try their pastries, but it is quite a drive here. The parking lot is tiny so I've had to go look at residential parking each time, which isn't too bad. They also have a 3 item limit here so that they have enough pastries for everyone. croissant- I love them. They're so crispy, probably buttery and have a crunch when you bite them. The chocolate one also has chocolate bits in them inside and it's really good haha. I also tried their pistachio cream danish which has a dollop of pistachio cream in there which I was surprised at the middle wasn't just soft and messy - it was easy to cut in half and this was also really flaky, buttery and delicious. I kinda want to try other ones (like their mushroom danish) but guess I need more people to try more pastries haha. They also have coffee here as well! Not much seating - they have some tables outside. They also do sell out of certain pastries so you do have to go early haha. read more
Oh my gosh is all I have to say. This place was amazing. My cousin and I decided to hit up this place on a Sunday morning. We got there around 8:30 AM and was about the tenth people in. Fondry opens at 9 AM. They do have a parking lot that hold about 6 spaces so we got street parking. There were a good amount available. You're only allow three items per customer. I ended up getting the yuzu meringue croffin, mushroom béchamel danish, and coffee and cream. I love all the flavors and the crispiness on their pastries are unreal. I would eat them right away cause after a couple of hours it's not as crispy. You must try it fresh to capture the goodness in all its glory. I did love the yuzu and the mushroom. I would want to try their ham and cheese next and their other flavors. I'm already planning when I can come back again. It's that good. Overall, run and give this place a try. I was here once before and didn't get what all the fuss was about. I was in the area and decided to give them another try. They've expanded the hours somewhat and are now open on Wednesday and Thursday now. There was still a short line on this particular Wednesday morning and each person was still limited to 3 items. The pastries all looked pretty enticing. Vast majority of them are basically made from the same croissant dough with various toppings and fillings. Anyone can make a crispy croissant and anyone can make a buttery and moist croissant. The challenge is to make croissants that are slightly crispy on the outside and airy, buttery, and moist on the inside at the same time. Anyone who's had croissants from La Maison D'Isabelle and La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac knows what I'm talking about. The croissants here are decent but there are a few issues. (I'm being nick picky) The outside is properly crispy but the interior of a few I tried could be a little more buttery and moist. The filling in the filled croissants like the almond and ham and gruyère were very inadequate. The filled croissants originally came about as a way for the French bakers to move the leftover croissants. They were therefore always twice baked (rebaked after the day old croissants had been filled). The Fondry tries to make them single baked and can't put enough fillings inside without ruining the baking process. Fondry is decent enough for those happen to be in the area. Not worth driving across town or standing in a long line for. read more
