This was a small restaurant in a seemingly hip corner of Baltimore. Not being from this area and just happened to be hungry as we passed through and found this gem. We walked in and were immediately seated. The dining room is not large, and you could see the kitchen and there was a coat rack on the wall by the restrooms. The email service was nice and to the point. He described the type of food and answered all our questions as the menu was unique I chose to have Brussels sprout marrow paired with a mushroom side and goat cheese. It was amazing and delicate and went well with the crostini's It came with. I then enjoyed a mushroom stew that was over the top. It had oyster and shiitake mushrooms and fresh made ricotta and a poached egg that was so complimentary they must have been a perfect union. So delightful I saved some to eat the next day. Foraged has an awesome concept: farm or foraged to table. It's a pricey, small plates kind of place, but if you go into it with that mindset you'll definitely enjoy it. The menu is, of course, "hyperseasonal" but I enjoyed my dishes: the fried squash blossoms and the "crab" cake made of mushrooms. My friend and I split a skillet of cornbread. Hands down the best food I've had in Baltimore so far. The plating and presentation was gorgeous, the ambiance was relaxed and comfortable, the service was solid, and most importantly, the food was phenomenal. There were some ingredients I'd never even heard of and some familiar ingredients that were cooked in a way I've never tried, but they were all so fresh and executed exquisitely! Every ingredient on the dish played its part and all the flavors and textures worked so well with each other--I didn't want a single thing on my plate to go to waste. My favorite dishes were probably the scallops (our order came with 3 of the most perfectly cooked scallops I've tasted) and the fried oysters (oysters can be hit or miss in some places, but these tasted so fresh and the remoulade provided the perfect touch of acidity and smokiness). (More detailed review below) My boyfriend and I shared a total of 5 dishes, but we could've easily been fully satiated with just 4. They even gave us 2 little cookies at the end with our check, which I thought was a cute touch (and much appreciated because I've been neglecting my sweet tooth!). This is a fantastic place to take someone for a date and also a wonderful place to take friends and family to try some of the most delicious food you can find in Baltimore. More detailed review: House made ricotta w/ baguette-- the baguette was perfectly crispy and with the warm creaminess of the ricotta made for a delicious appetizer on a cold rainy day. Fried oysters w/ remoulade-- the oysters were FRESH (I'm always scared I'll bite into a bad one) and the remoulade was bright and added the perfect touch of acidity and smokiness without being too heavy. Scallops-- I'm sad that there were only 3 scallops because they were so succulent and flavorful. The French call seafood "fruits de la mer," and these scallops certainly were fruits of the sea. Pork belly-- I normally don't like pork belly because I think there's too much fat, but this dish was also fantastic! The meaty portion was just the right amount of crispy/caramelized on the outside and the fatty portion was melt-in-your mouth goodness. Roasted lamb-- Lamb was cooked to perfection, the meat just melts in your mouth! We were stuffed at this point, but still didn't let a single thing go to waste on the dish. Very overrated. Portions were extremely small for the prices. The duck was $28 and we got 1/4 of a duck breast served over a couple of spoonfuls of tasteless bean ragu. The fat layer on the duck was not rendered properly and there was a chewy piece of sinew running through the center of the piece of meat. The lamb was $28 and was at least 50% fat with maybe 4-5 bites of edible meat. Risotto was over salted and the portion was tiny for $20. The scallops were tasty, but were $18 for 2 medium sized scallops. My husband said the "crab" cake was tasty, but not exceptional. Went for dinner for the first time this past Saturday. I was unfortunately unable to get in during Restaurant Week, but was still super eager to get in after checking out the menu and doing my research. Having been a pastry chef a hell of a long time ago, I am instantly a fan of farm-to-table, sustainable, and seasonal. Unfamiliar with the area and worried about parking, we showed up a half hour early and figured we'd just hang out at the bar or something until our table was ready. To our surprise, we were pleasantly greeted and seated right away. For it being a Saturday and the place being moderately busy, this was unexpected but great. Eva was our main server and she was fantastic. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. The other foodrunners and staff that came around to our table were also very friendly, too. We never seemed to have an empty plate in front of us for more than a few seconds before it miraculously disappeared. For reference, there were three in my party including myself, and all three of us are 'foodies,' I guess. This wasn't a special occasion other than we just wanted to go someplace nice after not having been anywhere cool since before COVID. Drink-wise, we ordered two cocktails (the 24 carrots and the beet thyme) and one draft beer (the kolsch). Both cocktails were nice and fresh-tasting and the beer was decent. My only, ONLY wish was that there was a larger, or maybe more varying, cocktail menu. At the time of writing, there are four total cocktails: the two I mentioned which are vegetable juice based with gin, one that is cinnamon in flavor with rye whiskey, and a ginger-tea one that is served warm with gin and rum. Although they are obviously different cocktails, I still feel like they are pretty similar in theme/flavor profile, so after picking one you sort of eliminate a bit of the curiosity over the other one. Totally my opinion, though - I mean, we did order both of the vegetable-based cocktails and didn't bother with the other two, so I'm sort of negating my own point. Whatever - I would have just liked to have seen a tequila or vodka base with maybe a non-wintery spice or vegetable juice flavor attached. You get what I mean. Following Eva's advice, we ordered four dishes to share for the table as a 'start' (all dishes are small-medium sized so there's no real deviation between courses besides sweet/savory). We chose the beet salad, the hominy polenta, the sourdough focaccia, and the cool ranch pig ear. The clear favorite was the focaccia, followed by the pig ear (my personal fave from this round), the polenta, and then the beet salad. But all four were delicious. Next up, we got our 'main' - more focaccia (told you: it was our favorite), the pig cheek, the sirloin, the mushroom stew, and the catfish. I had the cheek and the catfish, but ultimately we all picked at each other's (don't judge). For dessert, we got the preserved peach cake and the strawberry shortcake. Both were kinda small and a little simple but still really tasty. Love a good shortcake that's made with cookie/biscuit instead of cake. For the price, we felt like the portion sizes varied from 'worth it' to 'eh, maybe not,' particularly when it came to the sirloin. But with prices for ingredients being what they are and the sometimes higher-than-usual cost of sourcing small business, locally-sourced goods, I can see how this would probably be the case. No biggie - we enjoyed all of it and still got a pretty decent amount of food, so we came out of it feeling like the whole meal was less than what we expected. It was just more of a tapas-style experience than we originally anticipated. ----- To summarize: great staff, great food. Would maybe like some more cocktail options and the portions could maybe be more even on some of their dishes, but neither of those things are significant enough to influence my rating. Check it out. My husband and I had dinner at Foraged a few weeks ago to celebrate moving to Baltimore/Hampden. Foraged calls itself a "hyper-seasonal eatery." and it's a great farm-to-table restaurant with local and seasonal ingredients. We shared the pork rillette with pickles, dijon aioli, and toast points, which was a good starter (the rillette was rich, but the pickles were the perfect accompaniment). Next, we shared the leaf lettuce salad with spring vegetables, herb goat cheese, and lemon vin, which was a really good, very simple salad. I'd eat this salad again for sure. The duck entree (seared duck breast with strawberry, rhubarb, fennel, and pine nuts) and the flank steak entree (roasted beef bavette with roasted asparagus, spring onion, and sauce foyot) were both so good, and we couldn't decide which we liked better. The proteins were so well cooked, and what they were served with was interesting and delicious (especially the sweet accompaniments to the duck). For dessert, we ordered the compassion chocolate pot de creme with hazelnuts and cocoa nibs. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate desserts, but it was the husband's pick this time, and he really enjoyed it (I thought it was okay, but chocolate desserts just aren't really my jam). When our server brought the bill, he also brought a couple of small cookies, which was a nice touch. The restaurant is smallish. They have maybe 10 tables inside and then a few more outside. We made reservations, and I recommend this due to the restaurant's size. The reservation required a deposit (I think because people have been cancelling reservations during COVID), but the deposit refunded to you after your meal. The service was a little lackluster/stuff, but the meal was really great overall. Some of the food we had was memorably good. I'd happily return for another meal. read more

Every time I go to this restaurant I am amazed of not only the way the food looks but how absolutely fresh and delicious EVERYTHING is. It is truly out of this world. Also the staff are so nice and it's like they read your mind..the minute I think I want something they are offering it or bringing to me. If I could eat here every week I wouldn't think twice. I wasn't sure if I was going to like Foraged. It sounded a little too hippy dippy for me-- perhaps so extreme farm-to-table that the chef picks greens from the streets of Hampden. (I have a weird imagination, perhaps you have guessed this...) But I was wrong, very wrong. Foraged is really kind of amazing for several reasons. First, I picked the right beer, a Union IPA which was the perfect choice. Second, I picked the right entree, the beet salad. Served on a handmade ceramic plate with a bed of goat cheese and beets, topped with fresh greens, this was such a tasty and healthy salad. For dessert, I had the biscuit with strawberry and whipped cream, a strawberry shortcake, that was absolutely worth every penny and calorie. My dining companion was equally as blown away by the oysters with ramp and bacon jam. I sampled this and we both agreed it was one of the best things we had ever eaten. My complaints are few: one beer was $8. This is painful but to accompany such fine food it is all good. The vertical garden on the wall is sickly and not visually pleasing especially when I can tell the plants are not thriving. I understand why they have this-- to show off the "foraged" nature of the place but this does not work for me-- it is industrial plant bondage. Our meal total, with tip, was about $100. Totally worth it for the high quality of the food and service that we received. I will be back to Foraged for sure! read more

This is our favorite non asian place. We have gone enough to realized that you need to check the menu before hand. There are dishes that are world class. Flavors that I didn't know existed. Plate licking good! and then there are dishes that taste exactly like their name. Like they just foraged the garden in the back. Feels high class and fancy but doesn't burn the wallet. What a disappointment. We went as a party of four for restaurant week and the food and service were both not what we expected. First of all, there was a choice of a three course meal for either $45 or $55 depending on what was ordered or a more expensive five course meal. We all chose the three course meal, but we informed that if anyone wanted a higher end entree, everyone else would have to pay $10 extra as well. So we went for the lesser choices. The appetizers were ok (it's hard to ruin a salad) but 3 of the four mains were nearly inedible. The rigatoni was undercooked, the risotto was crunchy and the lamb was 90% fat with approximately a tablespoon of meat. The catfish was tasty. After not seeing our waitress from the time our food was delivered until it was being cleared away, she came over and inquired about how it was. We told her about the problem with the rigatoni and she offered to remake it but we had already been there 2 hours, everyone else was finished, and we wanted to have dessert and leave. For dessert, the bread pudding was tasty, the tiaramisu was pretty good , but the pot au creme was mediocre and the chocolate cake was burnt. We will not be back. read more

Limited selection of brews that are all pours, hope to see chilled mugs and a rotating draft in the future - kind of my only knocks on the joint. After scouring Hampden for parking on Valentine's Day, even calling Foraged in utter exasperation to alert them of our parking woes but that we were so close for our reservation... alas a spot that just fit my truck. After a 9 point parallel park(trust me this was a tight fit) I hopped out of the truck and as if the cosmos needed us to consume Foraged... we literally unknowingly parked directly in front of the restaurant. Like, actually. Very clean, industrial decor, with dark solid wood tables and overall tones with some wall plants growing gives Foraged a truly unique and contemporary vibe. Definitely dig it. Get the baguette with house made ricotta and garlic confit. Listen to me. Take the garlic confit and spread it with the back of the spoon across the baguette, a dab of ricotta, and become acquainted with garlic confit. Delicious, and I hope it is a menu mainstay. Servings were all adequate and nothing was overkill or subpar in serving size. The ranch dusted brussel sprouts were a clear winner, we've been unimpressed with a lot of brussel sprouts recently but were glad we snagged these. Equally delightful was the rich and meaty duck. Excellent. The mushroom stew wed heard a lot about was definitely tasty, but now that I've had it I think we'll pass in the future. Long story short? My dining companion and I decided to try out Foraged after chef Chris Amendola was nominated for a James Beard award for best mid-Atlantic chef. The restaurant is located in Balitmore's Station North neighborhood. It is has a rustic aesthetic and a cozy ambiance. However, space is tight and patrons and servers can be in very close proximity during the dining experience. Due to unfortunate timing, our dinner was on a frigidly cold Friday and the cold swept through the restaurant whenever the doors opened. Thankfully a Winter Warmer cocktail hit the spot to warm me up. We decide to try their winter restaurant week menu with wine pairing. We started with a few appetizers: - Sour Dough Foccacia with Beef Tallow Spread and Preserved Ramps - (4/5) - Unique blend of salty sour flavors in the focaccia and the ramps balanced with creamy rich flavor of the tallow. - Roasted beet salad with herbed goat cheese - (3/5) - Well executed and balanced. Red and Gold beets paired with a creamy goat cheese. - MD Style "Crab Cake" - (5/5) - Excellent crab cake. The texture of the lions mane mushrooms was a great substitute for crab. - Cornmeal Fried Oysters - (2/5) - The crust was soggy and the oysters didn't taste fresh. Our main dishes were: - I ordered the Roasted Sea Scallops with preserved asparagus, sunchokes, and last years ramps - (4/5) - Seared plump sea scallops paired well with a sparkling rose. - My dining companion ordered the Duck breast - (3/5) - Mallard breast was on the gamey side (which I enjoyed) however was tough and likely over cooked. Dessert - I ordered the Preserved Peach Cake - (3/5) - Had a scone-like rather that a cake-like texture. Didn't have a distinct peach flavor nor did the peach compote. Served with a brut sparkling wine that over powered the dessert. - My dining companion ordered the Shortcake with last spring's strawberries, tarragon, whipped cream - (3/5) - Solid dessert, but hardly seemed seasonal. I think winter time in the mid-atlantic is not the best time for a restaurant that focuses on truly local and seasonal ingredients. I would like to try out this restaurant again to see what is offered at more bountiful time of the year to provide a fair review. read more

Don't let the reservation fee discourage you from trying this place out- Foraged absolutely exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be back again. I came here for the first time since it was restaurant week, and ordered their 3 course meal for $45 each. My partner and I got the burratta and mushroom stew for our first course- the presentation was rustic and simple but classy, and the same for the taste as well. The burratta was mellow and soft, and the stew was nutty and umami yet light. The second course we got the catfish and the 48-hr brisket, and let me tell you when I say the brisket was one of the best I've tasted. It was so soft and paired so well with the corn-cream sauce. I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that I didn't find any of the dishes heavily salted, as I usually do with upper scale American restaurants. For dessert we got a thing of peach+ ice cream and chocolate mousse. So decadent yet not overly heavy or sweet. As a person who loves to cook Japanese style dishes with mild texture and a light hand of seasoning, I loved this restaurant and the flavor combinations that I experienced. Tucked into the Chestnut St. stretch of row homes, this farm to table gem is certainly bringing that much more strength to the Hampden food scene. I look forward to being able to safely enjoy its cozy, intimate interior. With just a few tables and opening to the kitchen in the back, along with green-thumbed accents and hard wood highlights, this spot would be perfect for special occasions and treat yourself meals alike. I had to order the corn cakes once I saw the pickled ramps--what a standout dish! The hominy cakes provided the perfect base, with a touch of sweetness balanced by the herb goat cheese. The mushrooms and ramps give you that extra bit of crunch and salt to round out the bite. I also tried the roasted sunchokes, which packed a flavorful punch on their own. Not overly roasted with just the right melt in your mouth tenderness. The lemon miso glaze is a welcome addition, giving the dish the right amount of acidic umami. This is everything I expected Woodberry Kitchen to be, and the most excited my SO has been about scallops in a long time (and he LOVES scallops). We snagged a last minute NYE dinner spot on open table, and I'm so glad we did! I've been wanting to try it for a while but for whatever reason we haven't been able to go. The guy who checked us in was a little brusque but I'm willing to chalk that up to having to work on NYE. Our server, Ashley, was great. She was totally on top of things and her recommendations were really excellent. She really gave us the perfect amount of attention, and the timing of our food was also great. I had a delicious Pinot noir and my SO had a Malbec - both were awesome. Also, these prices are fabulous for the quality of food! We ordered a bunch of plates to share like we usually do: Crispy Brussels sprouts - yum. So crispy. Some kind of aioli that was also delicious. House made ricotta - swoon. Loved the roasted garlic with this. Scallops - another fave. The scallops were FLAWLESS. Mushroom stew - pretty good. Lots of flavor and the egg was beautiful. Vegetarian risotto - meh. Lots of parsnip flavor. Lamb neck - delicious. Such a great cut, prepared well. The flavors were awesome. Apple tart - not great. Somehow the apples that were great in the lamb neck were mealy and gross in this. Loved the cinnamon trickle springs ice cream though. Other things that made this not a 5 star place for me - the music is really loud and really eclectic/distracting. A lovely find for veggie-driven meals for both herbivores and omnivores. 4.5/5 - probably a hard 5/5 from me for the savoury food and a 3/5 for the dessert we chose (not bad, just not my jam). Foraged sits in what was once Arômes - different but still familiar. The reclaimed wood tables, earthenware plates, and intimate vibe is still there. But now the far wall has been taken up by a vertical garden full of greenery and industrial lighting cascades across the ceiling. The hyper-seasonality promise affords a constantly changing menu, adapting to suit what the harvest holds. Service was prompt and affable. We had a little snafu where one of our plates got mixed up, but it was quickly rectified. I'm a terrible chef, so when I eat out I usually spring for meats (I don't think I've ever successfully cooked fish). However, the veggie dishes were intriguing enough that I completely gave meat a miss for the evening. I ordered an appetizer and entree, which was more than enough food. My friends, who ordered an app and a 2nd-tier plate were left a little less sated than I was. Our server recommended we get a bunch and simply share, which I think is the ideal approach to Foraged's menu. I started with the green garlic, candied lemon, currant, and ricotta spread (accompanied by ample toasted baguette). The spread was amazing. Sweet, tart, and dimensional - I saved the extras for spreading on our main dishes. My friends got the mushroom-stuffed brioche buns, which were more like doughy dumplings than brioche (still amazing). I liked the doughy texture and the mushroom + goat cheese combo was delicious. For my main, I chose the veggie pot pie from the entree menu (stuffed with rustic carrots, parsnips, fern, mushrooms, and more). Easily the best pot pie I've had to date - the size was perfect and the vegetables were scrumptious. My friends enjoyed their ribs and pork belly, but lamented they didn't order more small plates, as these dishes were in the intermediate plate section. Everything, of course, comes garnished with a sprinkle of fresh violets. Adorable. Dessert didn't really knock my socks off. We shared the cookies and cream dish, a deconstructed platter of pudding and chocolate shortbread. The components were well-made, but not particularly flavourful. My friend, who is fond of delicate desserts, really enjoyed it so it can definitely be a matter of preference. That said, we received some soft, cream-stuffed oatmeal cookie sandwiches with are cheque and they were perfection. Gosh, we would have ordered those off the dessert menu. Either way, a wonderful foodventure. Definitely interested in seeing what the summer harvest has in store for the menu. read more

Foraged really appreciates each ingredient's flavor and brings out the richest out of it. Both duck breast dish with sweet potatoes and mix veggies and beef with potatoes, mushrooms, and apples had balanced proportion of meat, veggies, and sauces. The veggies were soaked in sauce just about right and soft duck breast blended in perfectly. The best part was that I was able to appreciate and taste rich flavors of each ingredients. My husband and I had an improv class on Saturday night that started at 6 a couple of doors down, so I was excited to find Foraged. The menu looked terrific, and we prefer to support local restaurant, especially farm-to-table ones. I made us a 5pm (opening) reservation that afternoon to allow us time to eat, and told the host when we arrived and our server. "No problem, we can do that," was the answer. The restaurant looks like something out of NYC--narrow space, old wood tables, charcoal gray walls, QR code card on the table to look at the menu on your cell phone, as it changes daily. That's a nice, earth-friendly touch, but the water choices were Baltimore tap water--or fizzy water from ITALY. Not exactly a carbon neutral choice. Also, it was so cold about midway back in the restaurant that I had to keep my coat on. Our server explained that the menu was small plates, and we should order "2-3 each.". The prices were not small. We each ordered two items, and by now it was perhaps 10 after 5. By 5:30 we had NO food, and were starting to get concerned. we flagged our server, who offered to "bring everything together." Several more minutes went by, and we finally each got one plate. My husband ordered the beef and pork sausage, which were a good size--and were RED in the middle and looked completely raw. That's fine for a steak, where searing the outside will kill bacteria, but a REALLY BAD idea for sausage or hamburge, because you mix in whatever bacteria are on the surface and then fail to kill them with heat. He took 2 bites and asked our server if they could be cooked more. She checked with the kitchen. "No, this is how they cook it sous vide," she reporte. She offered to take it away and remove it from our bill, and he took her up on that. Meanwhile, I had asked for the mushroom stew with the poached egg cooked medium. The server checked with the kitchen, and "The eggs are cooked ahead, sous vide, so they can't be cooked further.". (?!!). She offered to not include it (but I love eggs!--COOKED) or to put it in a separate dish. I should have taken her up on that, and immediately regretted that I hadn't, as I futilely tried to scoop the barely cooked, still jiggling egg and blobs of slimy undercooked eggwhites out of my stew. I wonder if the thermometer on the sous vide was broken? And in most cases, eggs that are pre-poached at restaurants are typically rewarmed prior to servin. I don't understand refusing to further cook an egg. The stew itself had tasty mushrooms and ricotta, but was desperately over salted. I ate it, but if we hadn't been in such a hurry, I would have sent it back. My husband's seared duck breast was the best dish of the night, and came with a yummy bean and bacon stew. I had the Monkfish (correctly stated on the menu, but mistakenly called catfish by the server and on the bill). The portion was very small for $25, perhaps 3"x2"x1" thick, and was nicely seared and tasty on the outside--and raw in the middle. I really enjoyed the cabbage, mushroom, and bacon stew that accompanied it. All in all, we can't forgive a restaurant that refuses to actually COOK the food, and that offers tiny portions at high prices. We won't be going back. read more

My family and I have dined at Foraged since Chef Chris opened at his first location! Absolutely amazing! Everything is fresh and healthy! Beyond tasty! We've never been disappointed but always amazed at how unique and delicious the cuisine is at Foraged! Can't wait for our next visit!!! read more

Wow! We were very surprised and amazing at how delicious the food was! Stopped in for dinner with friends and we ordered a little of this and a little of that and everything exceeded expectations, including the wine and service! The breaded oysters were cooked to perfection and the sauce on top (including the pork belly) was amazing! I would go here everyday just to eat more of them. I also thought the scallops were delicious... I am always hesitant to order scallops at a restaurant as they tend to be over cooked, the chef did a fantastic job and in both cooking them and seasoning them. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the risotto, but risotto is risotto. After reading other reviews, just remember this is fine dining and you should assume you're going to spend a little more than usual and you'll probably have smaller size plates than usual, but where else will you get food that tastes this good out! read more

We ate outdoors at Foraged in early September, and my gosh....we were absolutely blown away by this restaurant. We've been gushing about it to everyone we know since going -- really one of our favorite dining experiences we've had in the city. The menu is designed to be hyper-seasonal, so don't be intimidated if the menu for the night doesn't reflect some of the favorites you've seen hyped here -- the restaurant posts its menu pretty much nightly on its Instagram page, which I've found to be a generally great follow. One thing that is always on the menu, that you MUST get -- the mushroom stew. Out of this world flavors, textures, and just...perfection. I would not have imagined mushroom stew could be this good, but it blew us away. We generally eat a lot, but found the portions and prices here to be very reasonable, and we ate for about $80 (including tip), without drinks. We got nearly all of the small plates, all of which were superb -- fried okra, mushroom stew, watermelon salad, housemade ricotta. We did also get the scallops at the end of our meal, which were perfectly prepared. The check had a pleasant surprise along with it -- a small dessert token -- and was a wonderful way to cap off the night. All in all, really can't recommend to people enough that they should come here. With how frequently the menu changes to match the seasons, we expect we'll be coming back multiple times as well! read more

My first visit to Foraged was a 5-star experience when they were in Hampden. The food, service, ambiance, all was wonderful. On my 2nd visit, this time to their location on Charles St, the food was a solid 4 stars, the ambiance was a 3 stars, and the service was 0 stars. We were a big group, 10 people, and we understand that sometimes people get skipped, orders get messed up or don't come out together, but the service really failed. Very annoyed attitude, did not help with complaints (the specialty drink he suggested and 4 of us ordered tasted just as bland and unappealing as the tap water; no offer to replace drinks or take off the bill, just a "i will talk to the bartender". It took 20 to 30 minutes to get any food ordered; it took another 30 minutes for appetizers to arrive; and then a good hour elapsed before the main course. I understand pacing, but this was bad. Anytime we asked questions it was like he was personally offended. The portions were very flavorful but even smaller than you would imagine even after they tell you they are not too big. They are tiny. I was so excited to show off this once great restaurant to my friends for a special occasion but unfortunately they all left with a bad taste in their minds. foraged in Baltimore is A-mazing! The atmosphere is fun & unique. The menu is unique & EVERYTHING we had was superior. Servers are very attentive & pleasant. Chef Chris Amandola, a James Beard Award nominee is simply outstanding with his menu selections! His signature Mushroom Stew was the BEST mushroom soup I've ever enjoyed. Have you ever been to a place where, when you first walked in there was no one inside and you thought to yourself, not sure how this is going to go? Well, that was how this started but we figured we have heard great things, the photos looked amazing, and we could definitely at least sit down and check out the menu. SO glad we did. We ordered a bottle of rose brut, and a few tasting items. The ricotta toast, blossom whoa, cornbread, and belly peas. The blossom whoa was a special I believe so you may not find that one again. The cornbread, was dense and delicious. They had just prepared the masa fresh so this cornbread was delightfully dense and full of rich flavor. The squash blossoms where stuffed full to the max with delicious cheese and fried so you got that perfect ooze when you cut into them. The ricotta toast was much more then we bargained for. First the ricotta was fresh light and fluffy, there was this jam that had been placed on top of the ricotta and some micro greens to top it. All the flavors worked so well together. Then the Belly... let me tell you about this belly. First of all the bed of corn salsa it was sitting on was the type of bite you take that sets you back for a moment. Where you need to slow down and savor it. My friend and I sitting across from the table from each other, took our bite around the same time and both of us just stopped in awe. Could not believe how many flavors where dancing in our mouths at that moment. Then the pork belly (sigh of emotion right here). Have you ever put very thick cut bacon in the oven on tin foil, cranked it up to about 415 and just let the fat become this amazing melt in your mouth flavor bomb when you ate it? Well, take that idea and multiply it in this pork belly. Crispy where its supposed to be, melt in your mouth where it should, this was a rich flavor that was only intensified by the corn salsa underneath. By the time we left, there were many others who had joined us In the restaurant. The server was very pleasant and on top of everything we needed, he was thoughtful to tell us what not to touch/what was hot/what to be careful when we bit/cut into. One of my biggest pet peeves is that restaurants never give you enough toast or bread to go with whatever dip or spread you order. And if you bother to ask for more typically they charge you. This server brought out extra toast for the ricotta as he saw we were getting low on the toast and still had ricotta to eat. We did not even ask him and he did not charge us. Very thoughtful. This is a must stop, a must try, and a definite return. read more

Went there yesterday for date night. We had the pig ears which were delicious, mushroom stew and cucumber radish salad which was great. Lastly we had the duck and the lamb, both came out Luke warm which was very disappointing considering they were pretty pricey and with a small portion. But they were both very good. Wine was tasty but very small portion for 16$ a glass. Overall good experience but it could've been great by server taking off something to compensate for the not hot food & the bartender not skimping on the glasses of wine. read more
