Ok. Don't let the fact that this place is in Cherry Creek dissuade you. Service is so very kind, efficient, had hard-working. The clientele also seems to be holding steady at down-to-earth pleasant humans. No noses in the air. The dumplings are absolutely amazing. They are my DIY therapy. Though I'm an omnivore, I most frequently get the veggie dumplings. I prefer steamed, but honestly I will eat anything they give me. The soup dumplings are available once a month and are also pretty dang impressive. I complete the comforting experience with a pot of tea. I've also tried a bite of their gluten-free wide rice noodle dish and it was super flavorful. I'm not crazy about their street noodles but that's because I'm generally not crazy about this kind of dish. That's on me, not the kitchen. I'm curious about the fancy pants dining experience upstairs. If the food downstairs is any indication, I'm betting it's mind-blowing. One day I'll have to try it. For now, it's take-out or dine-in on the ground floor once a week for me. All work and no FWT dumplings make Sam a dull boy. P.S. When Osaka ramen decided to closed the door, I was pretty depressed about loosing my source for Asian noodle fix in Cherrycreek. Worry not any longer, Wok to Table is to rescue. With strong dumpling game and simple noodle selections, it is plenty enough to replace dearly missed Osaka. Dumplings have firm and snappy mouthfeel that is often found in perfectly cooked pasta. The sauce compliments the dumpling with its refreshing acidity and spot-on savaryness. As for the noodle soup, it is very authentic chinese affair. You have choices in beef, pork rib, shrimp and vegetarian. You can also order vegetable broth with shrimps if you are a pescaterian. Also the first floor and second floor have different menu, the lower features a quick and simple meal. The upper is more supstancial menu featuring 6 menu items representing land, sea and vegi. We basically ordered the whole menu. My favorites were the steamed pork dumplings, wonton soup and the duck noodle soup. The fillings for the dumplings are very dense, so you get full pretty easily. Both soups had flavorful broth that reheated up well. They explained something about how the teacups would leak by design so that you can hold hot tea. Baloney. Water was everywhere on the table because they just all leaked everywhere. Please switch to normal cups. Servers were very friendly. read more

Cute little nook of a place serving authentic Shanghainese food. The food menu list is short but what they have they do it well. I love the thin dumpling skins with substantial fillings per dumpling. We only tried the pork pan fried but will be back to try the others. The dipping sauce is sweet and tangy but I do wish they provided some julienned ginger. We had both the duck and beef noodles. The duck wins. Beef seems to be tenderized a tad much. The flavoring base for both dishes were the same. Now the best was the stir fried green beans. It's very savory and perfect with rice. My kids ate it up within minutes. I would say the price is a little pricey for what you typically expect going into Chinese restaurants but the quality, ambience and location justify it. The server was very friendly and attentive. Our water cups were never empty. We don't drink but it looked like they had a decent selection of alcoholic beverages/wine. Excellent services, but the food was very medicore. In fact, both the shrimp fried rice and the duck noodles were both very salty. Don't be fooled by the pictures on yelp! Note that the portion is actually quite small and for the price that they charge, it's not worth it. $18 for the duck noodles, but there are literally so few small pieces of the duck that you can count them. The pork dumplings were too dry, and the dough was too thick for my taste. The pork filling also lacked flavors. My friend also ordered the hot Jasmine tea, which we would not recommend! While it was served in this beautiful porcelain tea pot, the tea itself tasted very watered down, almost just like hot water. The three star is mainly for the friendly staff and customer service, but I don't recommend here for "authentic" Chinese food. read more

The soup here is AMAZING. Tried both the shrimp with egg noodle ($9) and short ribs with egg noodle ($9); both were delicious. The broth (chicken-based) was light, savory, and oh-so-flavorful with a delicate flotsam of juicy bok choy. Shrimp were fresh and succulent; the short ribs were smoky with just the right amount of luscious fat. The sauce with the short ribs was a little sweet for my taste but was nonetheless delicious. Noodles were springy and tasty. The server who I assume is the owner was attentive and very kind. She is clearly passionate about providing guests a good experience and was engaging without being obtrusive. She showed us the menu for upstairs when we expressed an interest; it is a higher-end affair and looked quite intriguing. Decor was minimalist and pleasant. We had a reservation at 6:30 and had to wait until 7:00 to be seated. I don't like waiting when I've made a reservation and was tempted to go elsewhere. I am so glad we decided to wait. The staff was so friendly and apologetic for our wait. They couldn't have been nicer. Once we were seated upstairs, our waiter, Matt, was spectacular. He gave one of the best menu explanations, dish by dish, that I've ever had in a restaurant. We had two appetizers, duck & cucumber, and hot & sour soup. I'm hesitant to write this review because sometime soon this place is going to blow up and the secret will be out... but they deserve it. Very limited and simple menu of traditional Chinese food - not the stuff you'll find in an American Chinese restaurant. For instance they make their own soy sauce, dumpling dough, etc. Mostly noodles and dumplings and you cannot go wrong. We go with the shrimp Shanghai street noodles and fried vegetable dumplings. Attached is a picture of a sweet pea dumpling dessert they have for the summer (not on the menu) that tastes so good, fluffy, delicate, sweet and bready. Been here 4 times now. Talk to the wait staff they're friendly and can tell you about special things the kitchen does every once in a while! I would seriously die for these dumplings. I've been working here for over 4 months, and still to this day want to eat every dumpling I serve. The fried rice is the freshest most tasty fried rice I've ever had. They make it fresh with white rice and don't refry it so the texture is amazing. I get a free bowl of fried rice at the end of every shift and still order it whenever I get Togo. Next is service; of all the restaurants I've worked I have never been in an environment where all the employees not only treat their coworkers like family but also the customers. Order a bottle of prosecco, at least one noodle plate, then dumplings. I recommend trying all the dumplings, but the pan-fried pork are my favorite. The noodles were pretty salty and didn't have a ton of flavor outside of soy sauce. It was a little bit of a disappointment, but the portion was big enough that I could eat from it 3 times. I will say that I did enjoy the noodles a bit more reheated than I did fresh. I'm not really sure why.
