I don't know what was worse the food or the customer service but they both sucked. First off how do you screw up a chocolate milkshake?? I have an 8 month old son. So we decided to use the one high chair they had. Oh my goodness the high chair was disgusting it was so sticky it felt like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. I took 4 clorox wipes to clean it. I asked the manager and she said they didn't have product to clean it. WHAT!!!!?!?? The young lady at the counter was very nice. I'm on a scooter with broken leg. With my mom who's older and a baby. I asked if they bring the food out to us and they said yes. So we're sitting at a table for 15 minutes mind you we were the first group before the rush. My mom walked up and our food is sitting on a tray. Who knows how long it was sitting there. My milk shake was just liquid and it wasn't good. Our burgers weren't hot my mom ordered no cheese and they had cheese on her burger. My two older kids are at home. And of course they want lunch as well. So at 1:03 I order two burgers. While we were almost done with our meal. 1:35 we get the burgers. The older Asian lady was super rude when I looked inside to see if it was right. She said. "It's right it's right we don't make mistakes". I looked at her and said we'll we. Ordered no cheese on a burger and we got cheese so I want to make sure there's no tomatoes. All in all it's been a few years since we had jt since we live in Fremont. Next time I'll goto Livermore if I decide to get it becuase this service and food weren't worth the wait or drive. read more

Typical cheap owners who "nickle and dime" you for everything. For example, they charge for ranch and use OLD oil to fry food. The oil they use must be changed once a week because the fries have a very bad after taste. We visited 1 hr after the place open. Clearly they used oil from the prior days. I understand inflation but I also under quality. If you want to be "cheap" raise your prices so that you can afford to change your oil. It should be common sense to change the fry oil throughout the day. I guess it's true, common sense isn't common. No bueno. I'm never going back not even for the ice cream. read more

To that I say get the chocolate dipped vanilla cone. This time I was in a savory mood so I tried the corn dog and fries. We were placing a large order for work and wanted to know pricing beforehand to provide the person picking up the $$ and the person taking our phone order was sweet enough to let us know the exact amount for each combo on a huge order! The corn dogs are worth the surprising amount of $5, so tasteful and crunchy! Unfortunately the waffle fries were over cooked and crunchy as hell, not worth the purchase. When I was younger, my mom would take my sisters and I to foster freeze, it's always been one of my favorites. The last two times I have gone, I have waited at the window for over 5 minutes more like 10, while the male owner looks at me and continues without acknowledging me at all. Today, I saw him cleaning while cooking, I am almost positive he didn't wash his hands. I get to the window and a late 60s Asian man took my order for a meduim fry and a large chocolate banana shake. He tells me that my total is $17.81. I said, "Are you serious?!" You can't imagine how excited Mr. M was to find out that we have a Foster's Freeze nearby. As a Central Valley guy, he has fond memories of Foster's Freeze and almost never drives by one without turning in. This was very disappointing. The food was meh. We ordered Swiss on both cheeseburgers, and one was delivered with American. No big deal, we brought it up and pointed out the mistake. "Sorry, we can't fix it. The cheese is already melted." What? This review is based solely on their ice cream twisters . I've had their burger a looooooooong time ago and can't recall how it tasted so I can't include it in this review. My boyfriend and I were craving something sweet and have been going to Loard's way too much so we decided to come here for ice cream. Since he enjoys their twisters, we ordered a regular size to share. For a regular size oreo twister with chocolate ice cream and snickers, it was over $5. I thought this was very expensive considering that it's soft-serve ice cream rather than actual ice cream. Not to mention the small portion. Does anyone else remember those Blizzard ice cream cups that snack bars and ice cream trucks used to sell? Those used to be $1 and were 2/3rds the size of this regular twister! I was very disappointed with the ice cream twister. First off, never ever get snickers in your ice cream here... It tasted stale and the caramel freezes so that it's putting your jaw into overdrive just to chew. The oreo was good but honestly, I didn't find many oreo pieces in the twister. Either my boyfriend was eating it all or they just didn't put enough in so that the ratio of oreo to ice cream was poor. Lastly, the ice cream itself tasted weird to me. It had such a pungent sour aftertaste that I couldn't eat more than a few bites. My boyfriend, on the other hand, thinks I'm crazy since he didn't taste any sourness at all. He actually enjoyed the twister, minus the snickers. Based on the ice cream twister alone, I would have rated Foster's Freeze 1 star. I'm giving it 2 stars only because I know that their burgers/fries are good, if not decent. The workers weren't very friendly but I didn't mind too much since I didn't order an actual meal. This is the only one I have ever been to, this is probably the only one that I will ever go to - voluntarily. The thing is, this Foster's is owned by a Korean guy. I don't know what the stereotype is about Korean chefs, but this burger artist is actually really skillful. He likes to arrange everything in the burger just right, so that when you bite into it, you'd hit all the insides every time: lettuce, onions, cheese, and good old beef. The Korean guy is generally happy, and if you ever go, ask him to make a Boss burger. It's his master-piece. read more

Came here today ordered two things spicy chicken sandwich and bacon cheeseburger fries and the ice cream parfait. The spicy chicken sandwich wasn't spicy so not sure if they got it wrong but it was Juicy and crispy but tasted oddly kind of sweet.The cheeseburger was good as well no complaints there. I got the parfait I got caramel Oreo and fudge. Wasn't bad. The only thing I would suggest on the outside window where u can order it doesn't have a full menu of ice cream items to order so you only see a few and what they have advertised if you don't go inside and you never been you it's looks like they don't have much but they do I only know because I looked online prior to coming . So the parfait wasn't bad but I ordered that and the young man described it BUT he didn't say there were nuts on it. I would just suggest asking patrons if they want nuts or not. There hidden on the truck route back roads hidden to most that drive by every day is a treasure amidst the standard hum drum burger joints that lay scattered across the near by suburbs. Yes it will cost you like $2 more per person, that is not the point. The fast friendly family service of fresh wonderful food grabs at your logic processing brain and taste buds and demands you fork over that pittance, (which barely gets you on the bus anyway). Alas, you have searched far and wide for a decent burger joint with awesome sides and ice cream delights... and then while stumbling through yelp to find a burger joint you haven't been to... you suddenly notice this posting. You remember the fosters freeze moments of your child and in disbelief discover one here in your own back yard! Yes, it's true it really is a fosters freeze. While not the best burger I've ever had, the onion rings are very good with there panko breaded like exterior. The burgers are nothing to slouch at and fair better than most, (6-7 out of ten) and don't forget the ice cream. Unless you forgot to take your lactose meds or you are certifiably lame, (or you just have never been to a fosters) you can't pass up the chance to reminisce with a dipped cone or some other lovely frozen treat.
