We went here Halloween morning around 9:45am. We called at 9:30am and they said the wait was about 20-30 minutes and to check in on Yelp, which we did. When we got there about 15 minutes later, we walked in to the hostess telling another party of two that it was an hour to an hour and a half wait. However, within 5-minutes of checking in with the hostess, we were alerted that our table was ready. We go the kitchen sink and the Roslyn breakfast sandwich. Neither of us had either had potato bread before and we were both pleasantly surprised, but it was certainly filling! I also LOVED the BBQ house potatoes they came with, they were delicious. The Roslyn breakfast sandwich was such a steal for the price and the portion, it could have been split between one person and was only $10! read more

After hearing all the hype and seeing super long wait times to get in this place, the wifey and I found a random Wednesday to give it a go and get in with zero wait time. The host was friendly, and sat us right away. Nearly all the tables were full in this small space creating an average to loud volume throughout our time here. They have some small 2-4 person tables as well as some longer community tables. Unfortunately, that's where things went downhill. Our server was less than engaged and definitely not welcoming, but we were excited and hungry. My wife ordered the four friends grits and I had the mushroom sweet potato hash with sunny side eggs on top. The food came out quickly, although the dude dropping off the dishes practically slammed them down and ran away in a rush. Also, at one point, our server was yelling across the room to her friend as she dropped off some requested condiments, essentially screaming right into my wife's ear as she set the items down on our table over wifeys shoulder (we both thought she was yelling at us at first, then realized she was just rude). The food LOOKED great- it had lovely presentation, appeared fresh and cooked appropriately for desired temps and egg consistency, but there was such a severe LACK in flavor! So bland, almost as if they had just completely forgotten seasoning all together. I don't even typically like heavy seasoning but damn not even a dash of salt and pepper??? We were dumbfounded at how this "southern breakfast" joint didn't even taste of butter or cheese in the grits! We ended up briefly chatting with the couple directly next to us- they stated they had been there before with good food, but agreed this visit it was ALL super bland. The question is- what happened?! Overall this place isn't super convenient for us (location) and give the busy wait times on a Saturday, probably won't be making the effort to give it a second go round. read more

First, if you're going on a weekend make sure to join the waitlist online...it can be well over an hour! The food comes out pretty quickly and the service is super friendly. I had the crab cake Benny, super yummy! We also had the beignets and bacon grits bites...those were ok, I'd probably not order the bites again, they were more like hush puppies and I didn't taste any bacon... Good for larger parties and they have lots of noise reducing panels on the ceiling, so it's not overly loud. The food here was great! We were quickly seated during brunch and the drinks flew out. They were extremely busy but the food came out a short time later. The chicken fried chicken with gravy was so delicious, and my friend with dietary restrictions was able to substitute the gravy for hollandaise! The grits were very spicy, in a good way, and everyone cleaned their plates. The beignets were good, but I wish they were puffier and bigger. Parking lot in the back so no parking issue. In front, there's a small garage style type window with 4 chairs outside. Only one side was open so not sure if they normal open more. We ended up sitting outside since we had 2 dogs. We had say down for awhile before getting acknowledged but friendly staff otherwise. They didn't give us menus and there weren't any QR Codes so we looked up the drinks and food online. Ordered some coffee and then I tried to order the beerMosa but they told me that an employee the night before had not srlet up the tap properly so the beer would be hot. I opted for a Southern Bloody Mary instead extra spicy and my friend got the Lavender Cold Brew. The Bloody Mary had a sweetness to it and I couldn't pinpoint what it was but it was a little strange. The cold brew was actually delicious and they had extra Whiskey on the side. They gave you a good amount of Whiskey and the combination tasted like a Thai tea which was really good. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes which was delicious. Great breading, I just wish they gave us more of the buttermilk aioli or some on the side. I had a Chicken Fried Chicken Benedict and Crab and Fried Green Tomato Benedict. Mine was good, the chicken was crispy but unfortunately, the whole plate was just smothered in sausage gravy which although good, the gravy had actually separated a little. The Crab Benedict was delicious and a good combo with the Fried tomato. Both came with BBQ House tomatoes which I LOVED. These were super crispy and packed with flavor. It was kind of like eating a BBQ chip but in the firm of home Fries. Overall a decent experience and they gave us a little paper Bowl of water for the pups. Small open dining room area with very efficient staff. We did not wait for anything during our meal. Our wait to be seated was about 15 minutes, but we were quoted 30 minutes. It's a nice location to stroll around. I had the Sunrise Mimosa and The Kitchen Sink, my choices were two scrambled eggs, sage sausage, grits and cornbread. The eggs were well seasoned and did not require hot sauce. The sausage had a sweet undertone which was surprising, as I expected a savory sausage. The grits were supposed to be cheese free but I thought I could taste cheese. It really didn't matter, as I loved them. The only item that was not a hit for me was the cornbread. Finally got in on this place! We got on the waitlist which is helpful since they are always slammed when we've tried to go. We were offered a table out on the top floor but it was really hot so we were lucky enough to nab some indoor seating at the bar. First, service here is very fast and everyone is very friendly. We started with the beignets. I'm usually very skeptical of ordering them since I've had the real deal many times. IFYKYK. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how good these were. They were crisp on the outside and doughy in the middle and plenty of powdered sugar. I used the dips which were both great. I ordered biscuits and gravy and asked for my eggs over medium. My fiancé got the chicken and waffles sandwich. The food was great. We definitely can taste the freshness. My eggs were a little under cooked than I would've liked but had the biscuits to seep it up. Wow what a difference 10 mins makes to this place. We got there at 8:15 am and one other table was seated. Not even 10 mins later and the whole place was packed. Very good breakfast and good portions. I ordered the creole shrimp omelette and it had the right amount of Cajun spice. The shrimp was filling. From what I could tell, it's definitely a staffing problem and wasn't due to our server. She had too many tables and therefore was unable to give them all the attention they needed. She tried!! Great food, and food service was really fast! Our waitress was really nice too, along with the other staff. Would have given 5 stars, if it weren't for the bathroom situation... both bathrooms were disgusting. I told a couple staff members that the bathroom was gross and needed some attention, and they replied "yeah sorry about that- it's the end of the day and there are kids that use it". Not an appropriate response and not a good excuse. I've seen trashy bars with cleaner bathrooms. This picture doesn't even show the full picture of the sink and paper towel area- there were paper towels all over the floor as well and the sink was gross.
