Machaca Omelette
Denise J.

Foxy's is a Glendale landmark and often has long wait times, which usually suggests a popular spot. It's conveniently located across from the Americana on Colorado Street and has plenty of old-school diner charm. I love the nostalgic atmosphere and all of the unique decorations throughout the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food has been a major disappointment. My husband and I have visited several times because we wanted to give Foxy's the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe we had just come on an off day. Sadly, after our third visit, we realized the experience was consistently disappointing. My husband ordered the Machaca omelette. The machaca was burnt to a crisp, extremely greasy, and served with cold tortillas. To make matters worse, the orange juice he ordered was forgotten. His plate wasn't even warm when it arrived, and he was both disappointed and put off by the meal. I ordered the Machaca scramble, and unfortunately, it wasn't much better. Like my husband's dish, it was cold and overly greasy. I was equally disappointed. As someone who loves classic diners and their unique character, I really wanted to enjoy Foxy's. The atmosphere is charming, but the food simply hasn't lived up to expectations during any of our visits. After giving it multiple chances, we've come to the conclusion that we won't be returning.

Nice free parking. Sat quickly but room was very cold (bring a sweater). Ordered chicken lettuce avicadi wrap. It arrived and i liked that the wrap was warm from the chicken. Usually wraps are cold. It was a nice portion and very tasty. I added tobasco sauce. The side if fruit was equally delicious and good quantity if strawberry, honeydew, cantaloupe and pineapple. Also an orange slice. I had a Dr Pepoer soda. I would highly recommend this wrap and can't wait to go back or order one to go!

This is where you meet. It reminds me of a nicer, older Perkins. It's decently comfortable (although the booths are a bit tight and have seen better days). Everyone is friendly enough. And the menu is large and just about everything will be pretty good. Or good enough. This being southern California, there are plenty of Mexican inspired dishes for breakfast. And of course the more traditional dishes as well. My breakfast was a little cold but stilil tasty nonetheless. My friends enjoyed their plates and a good, relaxing and not expensive breakfast was had by all. It's not hard to see why this place has been around for so long. It's a classic. With all that entails.

This diner is located near the Glendale Galleria and Americana at Brand Parking was okay since they have their own parking lot and it's free Inside was dim but spacious with booths and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating Menu had a good variety of dishes and pricing was reasonable since most items were under $20 Service was decent and nothing too special Got the Egg Benedict ($17.50) and it was mediocre. The Canadian bacon was very salty and the egg was slightly too overcooked so not as poached as I wanted. The hash browns were crispy and plentiful. The Quesadilla ($11) was pretty good! It was stuffed with plenty of cheese, tomatoes, and mushrooms. I was impressed with the portion size! It was very flavorful and delicious! The guacamole seemed fresh and tasty! Overall, I thought the food was okay so not sure if I will return or recommend

Ambiance: it's a traditional diner brunch place located in Glendale, right across the street from the Americana shopping center, they have their own parking lot although it's get packed up quickly Service: friendly but slow and forgetful, it took a while to place the order and receive food, and we had to remind a few times to get drink Food & Drink: variety of choices on their menu CORNED BEEF HASH BENEDICT - ** toasted english muffin topped with two poached eggs with the creamy hollandaise, served with a choice of hash browns, overcooked eggs, and salty corned beef QUESADILLA ASADA - **** A flour tortilla stuffed with carne asada, grilled with tomatoes, mushroom, and cheese, served with fresh fruit, cheesy taste, recommend Cappuccino - *** watery taste Drip Coffee - *** average Price: generous portions but overall mediocre quality, expect $30 per person

The food is very good and the menu is easy to understand with many variety! The service was great for a big party. The ambiance is very pleasant and intimate so everyone can hear your conversation if you're too loud.

I've only been once but can tell this place is a classic and probably frequented over and over by many of the locals. Anyway, we were in Glendale and. Wanted breakfast for lunch and found Foxy's. Something weird was going on in the parking lot with lots of spaces blocked, but happened to find a spot back in the corner. Free parking in Glendale is always great! Waited a bit for a table but once seated, service was very quick and friendly. Ordered the steak and eggs as well as the croissant French toast which was a first for us. Med rare Steak, over easy eggs and well done hash browns were all the right temp which is rare. French toast was good, but the syrup was in the small take out containers which threw us off. Same brand name, so not a big deal but I guess we were expecting the ubiquitous syrup pourer :) I also give the waitress credit for her honesty. I love home made corned beef and hash when available, but when I asked she was honest and said it was from a can. Most places do the same, so bit knocking them at all, but not something I'll order when I have the same can at home :).

This place has a nice vibe and the service is excellent ! Food is pretty great too but nothing special. Overall I give it a 7/10 because the prices are pretty good too, especially for the era.

Went here with a large group and the staff was very accommodating and attentive! I got a hot chocolate which was yummy! The eggs were cooked well, the bacon was bacon lol mostly there to give me more protein and served its purpose. I really enjoyed the croissant French toast! Had the lighter texture that you're looking for but didn't compromise on taste. Pretty decent for diner fare! The inside is dark but I enjoyed the retro almost tudor style building. Pretty cool. Would come here again for a quick breakfast!

Was in the Glendale area and decided to try Foxy's for breakfast with my family. Very retro interior A-frame. Think red velvet color scheme with lots of wood and gold accents. And a fire place to set the mood. Nevertheless it was a cool experience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good. Simple and straightforward. We had a picky eater among us and he managed to eat all his food. That speaks volume within our family. Pancakes when a little darker than accustomed to but they were light, airy and had a good texture. Served with whipped butter and syrup on the side. The eggs were all cooked perfectly. Hash browns were crispy on top and cooked just enough within. Bacon was cooked a little too much for my liking and I'd consider it dry and crisp. It didn't seem to bother my son at all. I'd recommend the eggs cordon bleu but the cordon bleu itself was half cooked perfectly and the other half fried too long which made it dry and basically hard. The half that was cooked properly though was delicious on its own and especially good with the poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Due to its variety of menu options, I'd dine at Foxy's again.

Every time I visit LA, I always make it a mission to get breakfast here. It always hits the spot!

Foxy's is a place where time stood still. Everything looks like it was all the rage sometime in the early seventies. Mint leaf garnish? Check. Slice of orange on every plate? You betcha. Brownish carpet? Yes. Soft lighting? Indeed. Everything is seventies, that is, besides the food and service. Sure, the menu has nods to those seventies items we grew up on (well, SOME OF US GREW UP ON) but the service was impeccable! Fast, efficient, attentive, accommodating, whispering, and personable. Those are so many adjectives to describe what was PERFECT service in a warm environment. Keep it up Foxy's!

Are they open Thanksgiving morning?

Yes, until 4pm.

Is breakfast served all day?

Yes breakfast is served all day and night.

How is the parking? Is there a private parking lot or do customers need to pay for parking?

There's parking in the drop t and the back of restaurant

Is Foxy's open on Independence Day?

Yes but they close early.

dogs aren't allowed inside the restaurant but I've taken my 5lb. chihuahua and sat outside on the patio. the space is limited on the patio so I don't think it would be a good idea to take a large dog though

When I lived in the area, I used to come here frequently with my niece. My go to was the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp Salad and the Sweet Potato fries - the caramelized garlic-cider vinegar aioli to dip them in is something else! On occasion I'll stop in and have a seat at the counter for some coffee & dessert. The Dutch Apple Pie, Derby Pie, & Carrot Cake are simply scrumptious. *Private parking lot or street parking.

Super flavorful and cheesey Tomato Creole soup: so flavorful and delicious. Very comforting Catfish poboy: the fish was too bland, I think it had been frozen because I really missed out on that dirt catfish taste. Got the sweet potato fries with it which were amazing. We were greeted by warm friendly staff who sat us in the dining room and not long after the dining area began filling up with patrons and quite a few regulars. The staff knew some of them by name or their regular orders. For a server to recognize a customer and talk to them and care for them is what Juan S. Did. He was our server and was so nice, friendly and helpful especially this being our first time dining at Tallyrand. Attentive to all of the tables in our immediate area, conversing with the regulars and caring for them while listening to them. Our food was outstanding, a good sized menu offering various house specialties and all looked amazing. We went with the Turkey dinner and it was fabulous, like having Thanksgiving dinner without having to cook and clean up. Salad or soup option for starters that came with incredible fresh hot sourdough bread before the entree arrived. Good sized portions at reasonable prices served hot and tasting just like home. We had to go with the famous house baked peach pie à la mode and try a cup of coffee. Both spectacular as well. The perfect trifecta, starting with great service by Juan S.
