It's been a few years since I had dined here. Celebrating a family bday to end the weekend we chose wisely. Such a nice fine dining experience. Eva our server and team did an excellent job , very professional to meet the quality of food and ambiance. We all enjoyed our appetizers and entrees and the bday dessert was a 7 layer chocolate cake so rich and decadent! The location is hidden located in the Gwinnett chamber bldg off Sugarloaf Plwy which also featured the 1818 club. Private dining , bar seating and more awaits. Forgot to get pics of the other entrees and dishes !

Visited Frankie's Steakhouse for my mom's birthday and overall enjoyed the experience. The service was impressive and the food was solid. I really enjoyed the crab cake and birthday cake, but didn't care much for the lobster mac and cheese or mashed potatoes. All in all, a nice place for a celebration dinner. 4/5.

First things first--the dress code. It's clearly posted on the website, on a sign as you take the elevator to the third floor, and again as you step off the elevator near the hostess stand. It basically says men should wear collared shirts, while a coat and tie is preferred, and women should avoid hats or overly revealing attire. That said, don't take the dress code too seriously. A polo shirt and slacks were perfectly acceptable, and I only saw one person in a suit all evening. Jeans were common as well, so the atmosphere is much more relaxed than the posted policy might suggest. We started with the oysters on the half shell, which were fresh and very good. I ordered the 16-ounce New York strip, and while it was more steak than I could finish, it was cooked exactly as requested. My wife had the lamb chops, which she enjoyed, although she mentioned they were a bit fattier than she's accustomed to. For sides, we ordered the Brussels sprouts and the Lyonnaise potatoes. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding and easily my favorite side. The potatoes were good, but next time I'd probably try something different. My biggest criticism is the dining room itself. I found the décor a little underwhelming for a steakhouse at this price point. It was also quite loud, the tables were packed closely together, and the aisles were so narrow that people often had to turn sideways to squeeze past. Overall, the food was very good and the service was solid. While I enjoyed the meal and will probably return to Frankie's, of the restaurants in the Norsan Restaurant Group, I still personally prefer H&W Steakhouse the most.

Truly an exceptional experience from entry to exit! Décor featuring wine lined the walls with a multitude of varieties. The dining area was packed with groups having animated conversations as they enjoyed seafood towers and cordials. Our groups table was in the rear of restaurant. Our server Patrick introduced himself and his colleague, whose name escaped me. They were both pleasant and provided menus for food and drinks. All questions were answered and allowed ample time to make selections. Wine selections for our group included reds and whites, and cocktails including my old fashioned were ordered. Family style sides were truly enough to share. We selected Brussels sprouts, asparagus and mashed potatoes. They were all very good and paired well with my Wagyu ribeye. Service was exceptional too. Will definitely return to experience the amazing cuisine options.

We came to Frankie's to celebrate getting engaged. Wow, service was 10/10. They even gave us hot towels after our starters to freshen up. The food was delicious. The corn soufflé was so amazing. It was very creamy. The steak was cooked to perfection, very tender. Everything was perfect. They even gave us a slice of cheesecake to celebrate. And muffins to go. Wow, definitely will be returning.

I so wanted this time would be better. Service was so so, early on a Saturday night. We ordered the ribeye split into 2 cooked med rare. Ordered the wedge which they split for us. Brussels sprout and the truffle fries. The steak was rare cold in the middle red end to end. Had to have them cook a bit longer. It took a really good while to get my steak. Sides were very good. Of course you come for the birthday cake. Drink had to be remade and the cake wasn't as good as in the past. Just as big but it was ok. We come fairly often I hope they take my comments to heart. I'm sure we'll be back hoping for a better time. Been here about 4 times.

Absolutely love this place! I've been here countless times for birthdays, anniversaries, and date nights, and it never disappoints. The food quality is consistent and the service is top notch. Making reservations online is super easy. They send a confirmation text and even call the day of to confirm. If you mention you're celebrating something special, they will provide you with a signed card on the table and a complimentary cake which is such a nice touch. I always order the lamb chops and the tomahawk, both medium rare. Every single time they're perfectly seasoned, tender, and truly melt in your mouth. The cocktails, however, can be hit or miss. I'd definitely recommend the Old Fashioned, but the other drinks haven't really stood out to me. I suggest visiting on a weekday evening since weekends get extremely crowded and full service can be harder to come by. There's also live music, which really adds to the ambiance.

Excellent ambiance! Wonderful service! My mother and I popped into Frankie's on a Monday night (made reservations ~20 mins ahead of time). It wasn't too crowded at 5:30 PM, so was easy to slip in. We had 3-4 waiters who were extremely attentive, offered a meat presentation, and were very knowledgeable about cocktails and specials. We ordered a surf and turf special (halibut, crab, steak special) and filet mignon. We ordered a side of brussels sprouts (amazing). The dinner rolls were very soft and warm (a tad salty but very flavorful). The apple bourbon martini cocktail was sweet but good! We were too stuffed for dessert but we'll certainly have to return to try! Overall the service and hospitality is what makes Frankie's stand out. The food is very very good and the location near Gas South is perfect! We will be back. P.S. They have valet parking for $5. But self parking is easy/close.

We had high expectations for this restaurant, but it was a bit underwhelming. We read about great steak and the seafood tower, but it was just a small platter and not as fresh as we were expecting. Service was so so, kept on recommending the most expensive steak and wine... so annoying. After ordering our second bottle of wine, the server told us we already finished it... wtf!

Celebrated my dear friend's birthday last night at Frankie's Steakhouse, and it was an experience. I hadn't been to this spot since it changed from 1818 Club, and let me tell you, Frankie's is doing it RIGHT. If you're in Gwinnett County and want a meal that makes you feel like royalty, RUN, don't walk! We had a whole center table for our group, which was perfect. The servers were next-level amazing - they even signed a birthday card for the birthday girl! First things first: drinks! I went for the seasonal sangria (so refreshing ), while my friends enjoyed bourbon, mojitos, and something called "Blue Skies." Then came the fluffiest dinner rolls EVER. The presentation was on point, and the taste? Even better! For the main course, I had the salmon with a side of Brussels sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. EVERYTHING was absolutely delectable. Seriously, my tastebuds were singing! And the grand finale? A GIANT slice of birthday cake, complete with a candle! The presentation was, again, incredible. Huge kudos to Frankie's for the friendliest staff and top-notch service. I will definitely be back! #FrankiesSteakhouse #GwinnettEats #GwinnettCounty #Steakhouse #BirthdayCelebration #FoodReview #RestaurantReview #Salmon #MashedPotatoes #BrusselsSprouts #Sangria #FineDining #AmazingFood #BestService #HighlyRecommend #Foodie #DinnerGoals #CelebrationDinner #EatLocal #GeorgiaFood #AshSaidIt #BirthdayCake #CenterTable #ServersRock #NewFavoriteRestaurant #MustTry #FoodPhotography #DeliciousFood #RestaurantExperience #CustomerService

Absolutely loved my dinner here for our anniversary. Ricky and Travis were so helpful and attentive. They were light hearted and fun and provided excellent service. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor inside the building, we paid for valet which was a $5 minimum but there was plenty of parking within walking distance to the door. The food was the quality of what a top steakhouse would be, along with the prices. The sides are large enough for two as well. The bread was really good and I definitely suggest the truffle butter and steak sauce offered. We ended with pecan pie and plenty of leftovers. It was just as good the next day. The staff were so nice and the food came out quickly, I'd visit there again. P.S. They had live music and he was awesome! There is also some club 1818 near by and you could hear that music as well, it wasn't too bothersome but def a distraction at times.

Ask the Community - Frankie's The Steakhouse

Is there a certain dress code?

Yes!! There is a strict dress code stated as follows: As a sign of respect for fellow guests, everyone is encouraged to dress for the occasion. We kindly request you refrain from wearing shorts, open-toed gentlemen's footwear, tank tops, athletic…

    Is reservation required?

Not required but it would be best to have one for they get busy. You could wait awhile if you don't have a reservation and want to eat at prime time dinner time.

Can I bring my kid here. She is 7 year old?

Yes, the atmosphere is conducive to children, although prices may not be.

    Are dessert complimentary?

When we had a birthday there, they entered $25 as a charge for the birthday cake then they crossed it off we paid zero. There is a charge for other desserts.

It sounds like this place is supposed to be "fancy" with their dress code. Do they truly not let you wear jeans?

I wear jeans there all the time and I go often. Just have a nice shirt and look neat. You'll be fine

    Gluten free options?

Sure. It's a steakhouse. Nearly everything is going to be meat, roasted veggies, etc. Just stay away from the usual culprits like the rolls etc and you'll find it EASY to feast here.

I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! We decided to order pretty much everything off the à la carte menu. Overall, the food was just okay to me. The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. For the price, it was tough and chewy when it should've been buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Overall, the place is cute and the vibes are nice, but the food was overpriced for what it was. I'd only come back for those mushrooms they were that good.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol
