I always feel rushed and in the way while trying to decide what I want to order. You line up, order, and pay at the counter. There is barely room between where to line up and the tables. I've been there twice and had hoped to make it a new local spot to treat myself. The food I ordered was mediocre *except* the potatoes, those are great. There is some free parking which is easier to get on the weekdays and a few metered spots close. It's not somewhere that I'll be frequenting.

Breakfast was great! An easy, five stars. The main employee which I assume is the owner was great and had a good attitude. We were wearing USA soccer jerseys and he was very excited. We were going to the game. We would recommend everything that we had. The signature croissant French toast was absolutely amazing as well as the bacon hash. The breakfast tacos were also great. You get plenty of food. It was all delicious. Atmosphere was chill.

The location and the vibes made the place perfect spot to come for weekend brunch. Could easily imagine beach stop right before or after brunch, or simple stroll at either the marina or Abbot Kinney. No wonder why it's extremely busy during weekend brunch to lunch time. Plenty of seats both indoor and outdoor, some of which could accommodate bigger crowds. The menu was long with bunch of selections available so you might take some time to prolly make up your mind. We went for one savory and one sweet dish. Starting with the Biscuits Benny, serving scrambled eggs with biscuits/scones, cubed potato wedges, fried chicken and obviously gravy sauce. I loved the well-seasoned wedges and tender chicken with nice crispy coating, but the gravy sauce was just not for me. Tad too thick and made the overall meal felt heavy paired to it. Got the Chocolate crepe for the sweet dish, but sub the strawberries with peanut butter at extra charge. Nothing special to call out from the crepe batter itself. Toppings were obviously yum cos nothing could go wrong with Nutella and PB. Would consider this bit pricey being close to $15.

We came to Fratelli cafe do breakfast on a Friday late morning. Food was exquisite, matcha and coffee delicious. The owners and staff were amazing. We will definitely come back.

2-Stack Buttermilk Pancakes, Biscuit Benny, Pistachio Latte

A Yelp find that I have been wanting to try for a few weeks now and finally made it happen. Ordered the Biscuit Benny with a side 2-stack Buttermilk Pancake. The second meal ordered was The Chicken n Waffle with a side of 2-Scrambled Eggs. Pistachio Latte as well. The service was straight forward. The ambiance was one of a trendy Breakfast/Brunch spot. The environment however was a little uncomfortable for us as we arrived. It's like we walked in and the music stopped the record scratched and all eyes were on us briefly. Made more uncomfortable by the fact one of the hosts (Jose) kept bumping into me as if the place couldn't fit the both of us at the same time. After the second such bump, I had to ask him, was he ok. He apologized and feigned not to notice. However (afterwards and to his credit) he seemed a little more vigilant toward us ensuring we were well throughout our dining experience. So, (initially) not a very welcoming crowd for certain. Food arrived and I was really looking forward to it due to the delectable appearances of all the photos of past patrons. Our meals arrived together and looked perfect. And they were well put together meals just lacking flavor in certain areas. The Biscuit Benny's Gravy was thick, and textured the way I like for a Gravy over a Biscuit, just lacked flavor. And the Fried Chicken it covered was lacking, flavor wise, as well. Nice and crunchy however mine was a little tough due to an over cook. The Buttermilk Pancakes were well cooked just lacked Butter. Initially I assumed they were buttered when prepared but if so, not very much. The Home Potatoes however were the star of this dish. My guest even ate several off my plate as well. Very flavorful standing on their own. Over all solid meal that looked great. Prepared fresh and very eatable. The Chicken and Waffles were a definite solid as well. Just lacking flavor on the Fried Chicken, but the Waffle hit all markers. I'd say this is very much so a delicious safe place to consume breakfast or brunch. Reasonably priced (we were just short of $85 for our meals and a tip). Initially for us coming in, it didn't seem so welcoming but by the time we were to leave, things seemed somewhat better, and we felt better about it all, at that point. May be we will return and explore more menu items in the future. We'll see. Gratitude and give thanks Fratelli Cafe and Staff for the experience.

Great breakfast experience. We had gluten-free French toast, a breakfast sandwich, and a 2 egg plate. Everything was cooked well, served extremely hot, and tasted great. Service was very friendly and helpful from the moment we entered. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

All the employees are so welcoming and helpful, they gave great recommendations. The different variety of breakfast foods are amazing! Very cute aesthetic spot whether you're just coming to grab a coffee or sit down and eat breakfast/brunch. Would definitely come again! :)

Fratelli Cafe was a nice vibe for breakfast with friends! Very diverse menu with both sweet and savory options! The strawberry matcha might have been the best I've ever had. The prices were also pretty reasonable and the owner and employees were very kind and attentive!

Came to have breakfast with some friends. At nine am on a Sunday there was plenty of open parking. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted and helped to an appropriate table for our party even though it's order at the counter. I liked getting to look over the menu at the table then ordering when ready. I got the sweet and savory (waffles w eggs, sausage). I also got the spiced mocha. The food came out quickly and accurately. The food was good, although I didn't really taste the pearl sugar in the Belgian waffle... It just tasted like a regular waffle instead. Still pretty good though. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the sausage was good. The coffee was beautiful and also tasty, although it was more coffee than mocha. Overall food and service were really good and the place was clean and well laid out. They did multiple times try to clear our dishes even though we weren't ready yet. I felt rushed to get out. I'd try it again though. Maybe it's a better place for take out.

What's not to love? This is one of my favorite spots Los Angeles. The food is always fresh, the coffee, Matcha, tea, pastries are divine. If you haven't had the spice mocha yet, I highly recommend it. But this review is really a huge thank you. DoorDash completely made a disaster out of my order and delivered it to the wrong place and then argued with me about it. And you all took such amazing care of me and I am so grateful. Thank you so much to Sivan and Lior for writing a wrong that wasn't even their issue to begin with. I will now be ordering solely from your app. My cupped salad was amazing and my iced matcha was perfect!!!! Thank you!!

I came here for brunch with a friend, and we were sat outside. Thankfully they have large umbrellas out there shading you from the sun. The set up is that you go up to their counter to order your food, they'll give you a number to put on your table so they can find you to bring out your food to you when it's ready. I ordered a hot chai tea, the choco croissant French toast, and a side of turkey sausage. The chai was good, and so was the French toast, which had banana slices and Nutella drizzle on top along with a side of syrup. I'd never had croissant French toast before, but it still tasted like classic French toast. It was good, just a bit pricey in my opinion for a meal of French toast, a side, and a drink.

How did I never know this place existed?! What a find The decor inside is so cute, and it's tucked away in a newer plaza with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I did a to go order after work and got the avocado toast with scrambled eggs for $14. The bread could've been a little more firm, but the flavor from the onions and the freshness of all the ingredients definitely made up for it. Service was great! I was greeted right away at the counter and really appreciated that they offered condiments to go. Would absolutely come back.

We went to Fratelli Cafe today for breakfast/brunch and I had forgotten that it used to be Cafe Buna which we loved! We were greeted warmly and looked at the menu before ordering at the counter. The restaurant looks very similar to the way Cafe Buna looked but has a much bigger menu, including a lunch menu on the back. My friend had an egg white scramble with potatoes and toast and I had the Fried Chicken and Waffle. We both had lattes and we ordered a chocolate croissant. My friend said the scramble was just okay. The waffle was very good but the syrup was way to sweet and runny and kind of ruined the waffle. The fried chicken was a relatively small portion but was pretty good. It was basically two fried small thin sliced chicken breasts. I did need to add a little salt to the chicken to give it more flavor, but overall the chicken with the waffles worked. The lattes were strong and very pretty. The croissant was the best part of the meal and I'd come back for that any time!

I've been going to the OG Melrose location for over a decade and was so happy to visit their second location! The only thing better than the delicious food (shoutout to the shakshuka & croissant french toast) is the stellar service & true care taken by the staff and owner. Newly opened Cafe in the Marina center on Washington - as a local, I had to give it a try. The menu has a good assortment of dishes predominantly as a breakfast place, (they close at 2:00) so you've got the eggs, pancakes, waffles, but also a few sandwiches burritos, chicken and steak add on's. They have a barista for coffee and brewed drinks, and a fresh array of pastries. Order at the counter and they will bring your food to you at the table. Plenty of Inside and outdoor seating with free parking in front. The huevos rancheros came with potatoes - I felt like they just assemble the food from ready made ingredients. It was a layer of tortilla with two soft fried eggs with cheese and sauce on top. Didn't get that rich authentic flavor like you get at a real Mexican restaurant. The potatoes were mediocre. maybe wasn't the right thing to order. The avocado toast was good. The poached egg was cooked nicely. The staff was super super nice, kind and helpful so that lovely and reassuring. It's new, clean, comfortable and has a relaxing feel. We had the privilege of getting a complimentary cake so thank you so very much. I'd give it another try. read more

We were looking forward to a good breakfast here. Ordered at counter and sat down. Whoever took our order was very nice (owner? manager?). Anyway...worst shakshuka and waffles we both ever had. Shakshuka was so salty I couldn't eat it. And my friend ate 3 bites of his waffles with Nutella and stopped. Very underwhelming food unfortunately. Won't be going back. What an AWESOME find in the Marina. It's a locally owned cafe whose menu has incredible variety that can accommodate most anyone's dietary preferences. Great choice for a group breakfast or lunch and totally great for solo diners to just hang, read or work. They even make their own chocolate!!! Great attentive service and PLENTY of free parking. I met a couple friends at Fratelli Cafe this past Saturday at midday for brunch. We beat the rush thankfully and were able to secure a place to sit. EVERYONE was super friendly and helpful! You order and pay for your food and they deliver it to your table. I had the bacon hash which was filling and delicious. My friends enjoyed their meals as well . The food was delivered quickly and it was piping hot. .We had not seen each other so we were busy catching up- the staff never made us feel pressured to leave like some places do which I really appreciate Fratelli Cafe is a cute comfortable place/great ambiance I/delicious food/coffees / easy parking! Very excited for the new breakfast restaurant in Marina del Rey/Venice called Fratelli Cafe located at 552 Washington Blvd. Their menu has a variety of unique items. We had the Choco Croissant French Toast and the Steak Hash. Both marvelous. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They just opened yesterday. Sad to say it's not in the list to get back to. Only have had the Ca omelette - overcooked & small - wheat toast over toasted. Coffee is ok. Atmosphere is non personal & loud - concrete floors - echoing - ongoing droning or grinding from the kitchen for most of my meal - with 1/2 a house - music on in background just more noise. No table service. Sparse condiments no salt & pepper?? Counter help unfamiliar with menu and food and bev work. read more

My wife and I are parent reps at our children's daycare and were tasked with doing a breakfast for the teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week. We turned to Fratelli Cafe to see if they could cater and they did not disappoint. In speaking with Yaron at Fratelli Cafe, I told him what we were looking for in terms of food and our price range. He and his team absolutely knocked it out of the park. The teacher's were so happy with all the food, which lasted for breakfast and lunch that day. 10/10 - would highly recommend! read more

First off, I'm bias because I'm a regular at the Melrose location - it's my go to breakfast spot! And for the days I'm lazy, I'm lucky they're on uber eats lol. Wanted to visit the Marina location for a change of scenery and to support the business. Was a bit nervous since I am a regular at their OG location and I have a certain expectation of the place. You can tell they took the time to train the staff to emulate the food, the drinks, the vibe, the ambience, and the whole dine in experience which is exactly what has me constantly coming back to Fratelli. Drink - vanilla white mocha latte which is made with their home made syrup (my go to drink order) Pastry - almond croissant (my fav pastry item) Meal: green chilaquiles (my holyyyy grail & one of their breakfast specialties) Locals at Marina Del Rey, you're in for a treat! read more

Honestly I can see why they already have amazing reviews! Every single staff member is extremely nice, they speak to you like you've been friends forever. So welcoming and helpful. Upon arriving we noticed it was an order first then seat yourself deal so we grabbed a menu to look at and a staff member who was walking by offered us a second menu so we didn't have to share. Once we ordered the food took about only 10 minutes and was fresh off the stove. They def didn't let it sit like some restaurants do. The entire establishment is so clean and cozy. They have a self serve filtered water station and plenty of seating. Would def stop by again if I'm in the area. They sure do know how to make you feel welcomed! read more

Just came back again to fratelli's the following weekend and the service was yet again top notch. I ordered a honey latte with oat milk which was delicious and it came in one minute. The food is outstanding and came really quickly- seemed like not even 10 minutes. I ordered a chorizo omelette with goat cheese and it was amazing! We split the chocolate croissant French toast and it was out of this world. It was so amazing I didn't even get to take a picture. The laid back vibe is nice but the service is so quick so you don't waste any time. read more
