YUMMMMMM! I had heard about French Toast Heaven but positive word of mouth led me to try it. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and immediately sat by their delightful host. Once seated, we were immediately greeted by our really awesome server, Raven. I tried the Catfish and Grits with a side of the classic French Toast. My friend ordered the Catfish and classic French Toast with a side of grits and eggs. Our food was DELICIOUS! Additionally, we learned that they served MIMOSAs. My goodness, my pineapple mimosa along with my dish plus great service and a vibe scene made for a really awesome first experience. I will return soon and often.

My friend and I tried here recently and I have to say I was definitely disappointed. The French toast was fine but I think it was sub-par, I definitely could've made these easily myself at home. One was supposed to stuffed with cheesecake and I had a hard time finding the filling. Their other items sounded amazing, like the grits, and I'd go back to try those. The location was also impossible to find because they only have one small chalkboard to tell you their location and are located in a old different restaurant building of which the sinage was never changed. We drove up and down the strip mall searching for the place.

Friendly and fun atmosphere. We were all cheering (or yelling) as the bengals were playing on the tv. I have to admit the prices are a little high and I was slightly disappointed that they don't offer a French toast breakfast but they do offer large portions for their main breakfast dishes. Was the French toast heavenly? Yes. And if I'm being honest I couldn't finish all four pieces in one sitting. Surprisingly they tasted even better when I reheated them for a late lunch. I am happy they allow you to order a French toast flight with any four flavors your heart desires. Next time I will try another breakfast option! I also tried their mango mimosa which was very good. They have about 6 different flavors to pick from for $5 or you can purchase a mimosa flight.

I was pretty satisfied with my time at the restaurant today. Our server was Timely and when we asked a question she made sure to get the correct answer for us. I ordered the chose 1 French toast with a side and I wasn't expecting it to be that big of a portion but enjoyed every bite. The salmon on top of the avocado toast could have used some more seasoning on it. It tasted like they just took it out and cooked it without even salt or pepper. The soul rolls were very good I just wish there was an even amount of yams, Mac, and turkeys and greens in there. There were 2 rolls that had mainly greens and a small amount of Mac in it. I believe the turkey may only be mixed in with the greens and I only have 2 bites of it that I noticed.

We have been hearing positive things about this restaurant so we wanted to give it a try. There is no signage yet but once you find the address you can see the small board out front with the daily specials. There was no wait upon arrival but it did quickly fill in as it's a smaller sized dining area. Our server was Shay (sp) and she was great. Very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. We placed our order and it took roughly 15/20 minutes for the food to arrive. All the food was hot and fresh. My personal favorite was the Avocado toast. Lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. My boys went for French toast flights, which they devoured. My husband went for the eggs, fried potatoes and French toast plate. Overall, the food was very flavorful, fresh and hot.

Great food, if you have the time. This is a tougher one to write but I'll kick it off on a high note. Our food was fantastic! More details to come. FTH is fairly new so they don't quite have the signage up out front. But with as busy as it was, you can definitely tell that this is not a hidden hot spot. The secret is out! They don't have a huge seating area but they do make the most of their space. Not a lot of over doing it in the decor department, but they don't have to when the food speaks for itself. Our first observation was that they were full. A few open tables but busy. The hostess pleasantly greeted us and let us know that there'd be about a 30 minute wait. We did opt to wait but I did ask her if she over estimates, under estimates or tries to be more on target. She replied by saying that she tries to over estimate the times as to not keep people waiting beyond her estimated wait time. PERFECT ANSWER! Nobody is going to get annoyed by being seated early. Well done. Our 30 minute wait wound up being about 15 - 20 minutes. They do take your number and call you. They don't text. We waited in the car for a while and they eventually called. Once seated, the Team member assigned to our table, Mashaya, came over and greeted us after a couple of minutes. She was an absolute delight throughout. Friendly, attentive and polite. When she first stopped by us, we were ready to order. Here's where the review may sound a bit negative, but also follow suite to some other negative reviews, kind of. From the time we placed our order with Mahaya to the time we received our food was about 40 minutes. For the full picture - this was on a Sunday at about 1:15pm and they were busy. We also noticed quite a few take out orders being picked up as well. This likely affects the wait times as well. That said, it was a bit long on the wait for the food. But then, the food arrived.... I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast. Awesome! I did order a side of sausage, but that I was not the biggest fan of. That may just be me on that one. I didn't care though. The French Toast was thick, perfect consistency, chew and balance of sweetness. It truly was fantastic. I did expect something of a cheesecake like filling between the two thick slices of French Toast, but there wasn't. I did notice something of what might have been a cheesecake sauce though. Cooked strawberries and whipped cream on top made this perfectly delicious. The other item we ordered was the Avocado Toast with Grilled Salmon, less the Avocado. This was basically toast, fried egg and a grilled salmon filet on top. I didn't try this but I was told it was fantastic as well. Now, I share some of the review comments on the time it took our food to come out. And yes, after about 30 minutes we were told the kitchen was backed up. But what I don't share from a number of comments made were anything to do with the temperature of quality of the food. Our food came out hot and delicious. The atmosphere was bustling and busy. The FTH Team members quickly moving about keeping all of the busy tables happy, kitchen in high gear and dozens of happy customers in conversation. We were sandwiched between one table with a teenage customer who insisted on blasting music from their smart phone, which didn't seem to phase the two others at their table, and a young couple who spent the 20 minute wait for table hotboxing stale garbage green in their car with the windows rolled up. That's absolutely no reflection on the restaurant however, having Beats Johnson in my ear and the wafting of the Dank Stank Duo on the other side of us was a bummer. Would I go back? I have to give that an honest 50/50. If you have the time, and you want to have time to maybe sit and catch up with friends and your wait time isn't important, then yes, this would be great. Because ultimately it's a nice social outing with great food and service to really bring it all together. If you're more of an in-and-out type of customer, which I know I tend to be, then you might not be as impressed with the overall experience. This was an impulse lunch and we were not disappointed. Great food can almost always make anything and everything alright. Thanks again to Mashaya and the rest of the FTH Team for a great lunch!!!

Overall the food was good. I would highly recommend the catfish & grits. The batter on the fish was a little salty for my taste when eating by itself but, when it's mixed with the grits it's not. The service was good up until we got our food. After that, the server didn't come back to our table until we asked for a box and, then a different server gave us our check. The inside of the restaurant could use a little TLC and signage on the outside of the building is needed. This place definitely has the potential to be a 5 star restaurant with some improvements.

Made to order brunch spot. Was sat by the window and it was very cold. Took a while for our food to come. My toast was not cripsy anymore probably from sitting waiting for the other components of the dish. Food was tasty and staff were kind. Come check this black owned restaurant out! My son & I decided to do a late breakfast after hitting the driving range. He had eaten at French Toast Heaven when they were at a different location. So he was definitely up for stopping here. Upon entering we were greeted promptly by a smiling young lady who seated us and got our drink order. She gave us a few minutes to go over the menu and answered my questions about a couple of items. We placed our order and waited. There is a card on a stand asking for patience as all things are made from scratch so it could take up to 25-30 minutes. We were in no hurry plus my son said it would be worth the wait. Our order came out in about 9 minutes. Not long at all. But IT WAS WORTH IT! My son ordered the Jerk chicken and grits. It consisted of cheesy savory grits topped their jerk chicken breast, chicken sausage, peppers, and onions. Up to now, I was not a fan of grits, however, I tried some of his dish and all I can say is, BIG FAN of their cheesy grits!! Yes! I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch which is their signature French Toast topped with Cinnamon toast crunch and icing. I ordered the half size. Good thing I did. The pieces of French toast are really large. Probably the tastiest French toast I've ever had. Since it's not far from my home, definitely going to be going back and trying some other items!! Soooo goood!! Note: I drive by there on Sundays after church. They're busy!! So, be prepared to wait. But it'll be with it!! Absolutely!!

This restaurant may be easy to miss as it has no outside signage with name- even though they've been open for several Months. It is located in a small strip mall and does have an electric "open" sign displayed in the window. It's walls are painted a Caribbean blue with accents of gray. The noise level was relatively high and it was stuffy and warm (perhaps due to hot weather that day). I got the shrimp and grits which were described as 'cheesy savory grits'. They were savory, a little unexpected due to the description as they had some jerk-type flavoring and they are spicy. Unfortunately the cheesy grits were light on the cheesy part. The serving size is large. We also had the peach French toast which was very good. Our service was quick.

Great service ! Thank you Cross for your attentiveness and recommendations. The host and assistant manager were nice. Overall service was slow. Ordered a flight of French toast as sun as we sat Down and it came out 45m later. Entrees took over an hour to receive. Ordered the French toast fight (had Cross surprise us with flavors). We had apple, peach, Cinnamon today crunch and strawberry crunch. Honestly all of the French toast taste the same, just with different toppings. It makes sense, but ironically it was underwhelming. The toast (although cooked perfectly) didn't really have flavor. I'd recommend the fruit topped ones. Entrees Two French toast and fried chicken (one original and one banana foster) Two breakfast bowls- one with salmon and one with pork chops. Strawberry cheesecake French toast I'll give them grace because they are new. But I hope they work out the kinks sooner than later.

Service was friendly, no wait early on a Sunday morning. Didn't take too long for our food to arrive. The French toast was very good, except would have expected fresh strawberries in June, not frozen. Also ordered bacon, which was not crisp enough. I'm glad I went and tried it but don't know if I'd go again. Biggest issue was that everything was sticky to the touch -- salt and pepper shakers, syrup container, etc. It was really kinda gross and made me not want to finish my food. read more

My girlfriend ate there for breakfast on our trip to pittsburgh and thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered the French toast flight which gave us a versatile selection of French toast which we quickly decided were all delicious. I had the super seafood grits bowl which was divine and the portion was so big I couldn't finish! My gf and I decided after we left we would come back sometime when we come through! After reading reviews of how good the food is and the nice staff, I anticipated a good experience. Well, a scheduled brunch with a friend was ruined! As the second party waiting to be seated, we were informed that there were two waitresses working (this was a clear hint that things were going to be less than stellar). We (2 people) were seated at 12:32, orders were taken at 12:55, received a cranberry juice and coffee after 1 and never received our order. At 1:42, I asked the waitress to bring the check for the drinks because I needed to leave and was informed that the food would be ready shortly. The waitress left and came back and said don't worry about the drinks and apologized for the slowness. As my friend and I walked out, I saw that others received their orders which included patrons that arrived and were seated after my friend and I. When I saw others being seated and then leaving minutes later, that should have been my cue to leave. Also, hearing other patrons asking for to go containers and hearing that they had ran out of containers just brought on more irritation. If zero stars were available that would be the rating for today's experience. #Ridiculous read more

I waited over an hour after I ordered 4 pieces of French toast and on order of chicken strips and a waffle. The French toast came out lukewarm at best and poorly cooked if I wasn't starving I wouldn't even have ate it. Not to mention the chicken and waffles came out like 15 minutes later I finally went to the counter and just told them to box it up when it came out. I've had poor service but this was atrocious. Last of all they played good music but it was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. I won't be returning to even give them a second chance. So bad I left my first yelp review. read more

I decided to try this place out after a haircut in the same plaza on a Monday around 12:00 pm. It's hard to even know there was a new restaurant there as the only sign I say was a fold out sign right by the door. Upon entering, they had some nice modern music being played and it only took about 2 minutes to get seated as a single. I was quickly greeted by the waitress who got my drink and returned ready to take my order. The food overall I would say is good but not anything excellent. The breakfast burrito had good flavor and the textures were on point. Small bits of bacon with scrambled eggs and cheese all meshed well together. The French toast was a bit underwhelming for the price point. I would think with it being a specific French toast spot it would be out of this world. It was not bad by any means but I have had better at other restaurants. The menu is super creative with tons of French toast variations. I will definitely returning to try out more variations. I left off one star due to some of the pricing. Seemed a bit expensive at $28 pre tip for a burrito and French toast. I would recommended others to give it a try though. read more

This was our first time at the new location Greenhills and the experience was not good. The servers are in slow motion the food was slow coming out. I just wanted catfish which the online menu says they have but the server said no you had to get the grits. No substitutes. No change. Very expensive for the ambiance and service. Probably won't be back. It's a shame. read more

I love the huge selection of French toast! I really like a combination of sweet and savory they've got a number of options for that including chicken tenders and avocado toast. probably the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. it's early days and I like the idea that the feedback I give to the waiter is incorporated into the restaurants routines. read more

Server was new, he did okay , he got my order wrong. But fixed it immediately, not crowded but a small place and seating is close together.The food was terrible I ordered strawberry cheesecake filled French Toast scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon. For what I got and what I paid, I was definitely shocked and upset. The strawberries on the French toast was preserves that were old and outdated. There was no cheese cake filling anywhere, the eggs looked like when you have to stretch it for a lot of people, and so the last two plates or whatever may get the scrapping parts of the eggs, so mainly the white and cheese. Plus I got sausage patties that looked dried out, which I didn't order I said bacon but I was later handed some bacon threw together. Presentation of the food was terrible, once I asked about the cheese cake filling the server asked then he later handed me a small bowl with a oily white creamy substance that appear to be cheesecake filling. I was ready to go and will not go back they don't deserve a second chance for the price they charge and the laziness of the food being served. I got better for 40 bucks at an IHOP in Indianapolis a week later. I definitely don't recommend French toast Heaven. read more

Was excited to try this place as less than 5 minutes from home and we love French toast. Unfortunately it was overpriced with small portions and really not worth a second try. The French toast flight looked like my 4 yo niece had plated it and it was distinctly average especially considering it was $17 yes seventeen dollars. The other reviews online are skewed as it seems there was a previous incarnation of this restaurant before the claimed 1st March 2023 opening date. The restaurant is also not very clean. Personally if I'm wanting French Toast in the future it'll be Bob Evans. Better quality food at half the price. read more

20 minutes to get beverages for a table of 4. Over 30 minutes to get coffee. Lots of variety for French toast. Bread barely dipped in egg. No custard in the middle. Prices vary from typical to expensive. read more

This place is rocking!! Very busy and now I know why. The food was excellent the service was great as well. If anything the water is not filtered so I couldn't drink it. And the coffee was ok but you can tell they aren't using filtered water. They didn't have sugar free syrup and no splendor. But even with all that I will definitely be back!! read more

The food was great, service was ok but the one thing that lowered the number of stars was the seating! Tables were so close together that the back of our chairs were literally against the back of the people behind us and neither of us were really comfortable we were so pinned in. They need to remove some tables to allow for more comfortable seating and off a few more options for larger parties. We only had 5 and they put us at a 4 top with a chair on the end so it was very cozy with plates and drinks on the table. Overall a good experience and I will return and support this small business. read more

My husband just got out of his procedure and we wanted to try French Toast Heaven so we drove 25 minutes and arrived at 2:35pm only to be told we couldn't be serviced because they were closing at 3pm. We were extremely disappointed and they should think about posting their hours as closing at 2:30 pm not 3pm if they don't take orders after then. read more

The place was Quaint but messy. We stood in a line of 3 groups with plenty of tables and waiteresses visibly doing nothing, without being greeted, or feeling welcomed. We were then seated and handed drinks, and we would place our order to wait an hour because waitress weren't bringing out food, we could see it was ready feom the kitchen, just not being delivered to the tables. To only have mediocre quality with fake eggs and skimped of french toast( the place is called FrenchToast Heaven). Our waitress was good but all three of them did not work together well. I would not recommend this place. read more

I was really disappointed after hearing good things about this place. There was a long wait for the food, which was okay as it was a busy Friday morning. When the food did arrive, it was not at all appealing. Mine was squished almost on top of each other on a smaller rectangular plate. Too bad I didn't get a picture. Oddly, my friend got the same thing on a regular plate. I got chef Maurice's Breakfast which consisted of two eggs (I got mine over medium), choice of meat (I got bacon), potatoes and French toast (I got very berry). The eggs looked and tasted like they were cooked in heavy grease, the potatoes were so greasy I couldn't eat them, and the bacon wasn't fried crisp. The French toast was decent, but not the best I've had. My stomach was upset for hours and I've got a pretty strong stomach. My husband got the jerk shrimp and grits. The grits were not that great and the shrimp was just okay, but cooked too long. My friend got scrambled eggs which were way overdone and her husband got an omelette which he said wasn't bad. We will definitely not be back. Oh and if you see 5 star reviews, beware!!! They give $5 off your meal if you scan a bar code and give a 5 star review!!! read more

We tried French Toast Heaven and the food did not disappoint!! OMG it was sooo good! I had the peach cobbler French toast and vegan sausage. My husband had the fish and grits. Our server was Cross. He was on point, professional and very attentive. The atmosphere very nice. The Chef came out checking if all was ok as well as owners wife made it a point to speak and greet us as also Great experience- from the time we entered til the time we left- We went during the week bypassing the large weekend crowd- Looking forward to returning. read more

The food was very good. Unfortunately I went to the restroom after I ate. This restaurant was not clean. The bathroom had flies everywhere. I'm talking crawling around and swarming. I washed my hands and went back to the table where I realized the fly problem was bad in the dinning room as well. A LOT of fruit flies. Where could they be coming from? Has to be the kitchen. The floors were not clean. A ring of grime around the wall at the wall base. The tables were varnished with something that made them continuously sticky. I wiped with my own wipe. I don't know if I can go back. I can't get the flies out of my mind. read more

This place pays for reviews. If you leave a 5 star you get $5 off your bill. I'm not hard up for $5 and I'm an honest person. I was excited to try it after reading all the what I know now are paid reviews. $16 for an egg, bacon, way underdone potatoes and one piece of cold, plain French toast. It was a very disappointing experience and I wouldn't pass a Waffle House to return. read more

Went to this restaurant on a Sunday Morning about 11:30 am. Was expecting a bit of a wait, and did wait about 25 minutes. Once seated it took about 10 minutes to order our drinks and another 10 minutes to get them delivered to the table. It took even longer for the coffee to arrive. After about 20 minutes we were given the opportunity to place our food order. We waited and waited and waited for a little over an hour for our food. It was at this point we noticed that people that came in after us were leaving with leftovers and we had not even been served our food. We decided to leave at this point. We will not be going back there. read more

My sister took me to French toast heaven on my birthday and it was AMAZING!!!!! the best French toast I have ever had! I ordered the French toast flight (where you pick 4 different flavors) I had strawberry cheese cake, Apple caramel, peanut butter and jelly and berry berry berry They were all amazing! The customer service was excellent! I will most definitely be returning, it's worth the trip! read more

My friend and I were SO excited to try this place that we drove 30 minutes to get there. We ordered ONE flight. After waiting 45 minutes we asked our server about how much longer until our food was ready. She claimed she would check but she never came back. After we reached an hour we had to leave. I know the restaurant was just opening but there is really no exception for waiting an hour for one thing. We left extremely disappointed and will not be back. read more

One with fresh salmon cream and Asiago cheese, and another with roasted cherry tomatoes and stracchino, along with their Bufalina pizza. For drinks, we tried the Mokaccino Ferrero Rocher and their seasonal Arancia Nutella Latte. Everything was delicious and made for a great lunch. Definitely stop by and check them out for a unique café experience!
