This place is Horrible. This was our first time visiting after living in French valley for many years and It was a big mistake! We arrived when it wasn't busy and got seated right away outside. Then that's when things started gettjng bad. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to get our drink order taken. Then another 15 minutes for them to take our food order. Everyone started getting impatient outside waiting for the food for 40 minutes. When we finally got our food we weren't given any utensils so had to wait longer for those... We never got refills on water or checked up on once. When we were all done eating no one was around to give us the check so we went to the front to pay. The host told us that we have to wait outside for the server to give us the check. My husband had to wait outside for someone to arrive. He had asked for a manager to talk to and they told him there isn't one available. Do better French valley cafe. You're better off going to farmer boys . read more

We only live a couple miles from here so we go often. When it's warm we love to come here and sit on the patio. We always come for breakfast/brunch and the food is always good, as is the service. Not only is the food consistently good, our grandkids love to come here to watch the planes take off and land, so everyone wins. read more

My family and I came to this café about a year ago and had a terrible experience. After being seated, we waited forever for service, watched tables who were seated after us get their food well before ours, and some of our meals never even made it to the table. Today, I decided to give them another chance and brought my elderly parents and my son, hoping that last year was just a one-off bad visit. Unfortunately, it was even worse this time. We were seated and waited over 30 minutes without even being given water. We eventually had to flag someone down just to get noticed. Once again, we saw people who arrived after us get served first, we NEVER even got water, and our meals never came at all. It's incredibly disappointing, especially since we live so close and wanted to support a local spot. Sadly, after two very poor experiences, we won't be coming back and will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

We have eaten here many times. But today they said we would have to wait until table for two was avaliable. Although there were plenty of tables available the wanted to keep them open for larger groups. The food there is wonderful. Andservice has been very good in the past. We moved to French Valley a few years back during COVID and needed to find a nice spot to enjoy our meals out since at the time we didn't want to have to venture far away from home to enjoy a good meal. Ever since we've found the French Valley Cafe, we've really enjoyed the great food for a very good price. My son is a HUGE aviation aficionado and being able to take him to the French Valley Cafe once a month for breakfast really makes his heart sing. The only reason I took off a star is due to the wait for food to come out. There have been times when their kitchen was slammed and we've waited 30-40 mins for our meal. First time dining at French Valley Cafe. When we arrived, we stood at the entrance for a while until the hostess finally came over to seat us. Right away she informed us that they were all out of prime rib, and that there was live music in the patio, but there were no tables available outside. The place looks like a typical diner, and seems to be popular with locals. The servers seemed to know a lot of the customers. I was surprised to see they had a bar area, which was full at the time. The menu isn't very extensive, but I went with the chicken Marsala, and my husband had a burger. It wasn't terrible, but the chicken was dry despite being topped with the mushroom sauce, and had a rubbery texture. It reminded me of bagged frozen chicken. My husband said his burger wasn't bad, but had stomach cramps on the drive home afterwards. The service was not the best. Although our server was friendly, she only came by once, and we had to ask the hostess for our check. The location is cool, but this just wasn't an experience that would make us come back. read more

We've been to FVC twice on separate Monday nights- to eat dinner, and then to karaoke. It was nicely decorated with a view of the airport and planes- something different. Service was adequate. The first time I had the chicken marsala served with rice and fresh veggies. Surprisingly, this was very tasty, although the parmesan cheese sprinkled on top was a bit overpowering. The next time I had the fish and chips- very pedestrian in taste, but crispy and not greasy. Both times the wife had the cheeseburger sliders, a huge platter with three sliders that came with lettuce, onion, and tomato. Again taste was adequate, but could've used more seasoning. Fries were the delicious, hot and crispy. Avocado toast was filled with fresh avocado and cherry tomato slices- wife enjoyed these. Karaoke was another thing. "Big Lee" is a seemingly nice kdj, but I was only able to sing once. After almost an hour and a half, we finally left because it was taking too long for him to call me up a second time. It seems he was calling people up to sing out of order intentionally - mostly it looked like his friends and "clique" (many who came in late) whom he favored and wanted to party with. Many of them were suddenly singing after being there for only 10-15 minutes. This is a kdj mortal sin and unfair to the patrons who have patiently waited 60-90 minutes for their turns to grab the mic. This happened both times we came here, so I don't think this is my imagination or sour grapes on my part. The wife even noticed it. I doubt I will come back to sing in this place. Ordered the chicken strips, kid's waffles and the blt croissant. The fries that came with the blt and chicken strips were dry and seemed old. They also forgot to bring us silverware and we had to ask twice for it. They did have tvs around the cafe for sports viewing, that was a plus. read more

It was perfectly seasoned and paired well with my toast, eggs, and hashbrown, and they also served unlimited coffee. The service was excellent. My mother-in-law's ham was a bit too overcooked, and it was tough for her to eat. They were nice enough to replace her entire plate even after breakfast. The saving grace of this whole experience was the deep fried french toast. Literally nostalgia in a bite. Pretty damn close to funnel cake! Crispy on the outside with a really airy inside.
